Guest Reviews
- Jacobus (2/5): Now it is clear why all the rooms are empty there! - The description on the website says 2 twin beds. I got one twin bed and a very very small room. Whereas the husband of the couple running the place was friendly and helpful, the wife makes one feel incredibly unwelcome. She did the following: upon arrival I was informed they didn't know about my reservation (made a month in advance) and they also didn't agree with the price for my booking made through hotels com. They said it should be more. After hours of being in limbo this was finally cleared up (that the hotels.com booking price was correct) but being in a foreign country on your second day this makes for very uneasy times. At 7am on the day of checking out she already made me feel that she wanted to check out as soon as possible. She also does not speak a word of English. Now, 3 days after having checked out the hotels.com team called them to verify that I used the booking (and paid for it, which I obviously did and paid for), they couldn't do this simple "yes, he stayed there and paid". Incredible! Lastly, one the website it clearly states you can pay by debit or credit card, but when you actually want to do this at the premises, they want you to pay extra for not paying in cash. Something which is totally against the hotels.com policy as well as visa and mastercard policies. You are made to feel the whole time whilst staying there that you are being done a favour to be there and that you are not a welcome hotel guest that has paid good money to be there. Stay away!
