Joan (8/5): Nice apartment but unmanned and impersonal - The apartment was spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. The main photo is of a folly in the garden and gives no impression of the building. The apartments is unmanned and all communication impersonal. The beds in our twin room were soft and unsupportive. We struggled to arrange a baggage uplift as there is no supervisor on site.
Holtommo (8/5): Overall, our stay was good, and we would recommend. - Great Location, I have stayed here previously when it was a hotel. Check-in was easy and as described in the information we received before our arrival. The apartment was comfortable and as described. Top Tip for any stay, use the Stockbridge Lane Carpark, which used to be £1 for 24 hours, it has gone up to £1.50. My only downside to the apartments was that the bed was too short, and we are not giants. Trying to sleep with our feet hanging over the edge of the bed was a bit uncomfortable. Also, the shower needs more non-slip strips, as it was like an ice skating rink

Plenty of pubs/cafes within minutes of the apartments. Booking process was confusing and caused a lot of misunderstanding. Missed celebration cake order that I requested a few days before. I did opt and pay extra for a late check out of which I had to chase for confirmation, only to have the cleaner knocking on the door and calling my mobile because the system hadn't been updated. Waste of £20 and the chance of a lie in. Bathroom could do with a deep clean with cobwebs and discoloured skirting boards.

Beautifully decorated and absolutely ever you need for a few days away. Parking opposite, £24 for 3 days, cannot fault anything about Lonsdale House it was everything we wished for and more, and the shower was amazing! Nothing, it was the perfect!
Candia (9/5): Home away from home. - The cleanliness of the property and basic availability of use of utilities. It was a home away from home. I stayed for a couple of days with my two kids and we really enjoyed the spacious environment. We will certainly recommend and would stay there again if visiting again. The beds were comfy and comfortable. The lounge area being open place was great as one of my kids is a 2yr old so had to keep my eye on him. We parked just at the Daltongate car park opposite the property and were able to keep an eye on the car so this was peace of mind. The shower was very powerful, got the job done, loved it. There wasn't anything to not like honestly.

Krzysztofa (8/5): Everything was good - The apartment was overall okay – a small space, but ideal for a few days’ stay. It is dog-friendly, although the garden is not; guests are asked not to let dogs relieve themselves on the grass. Inside, the apartment had everything we needed. The mattress didn’t seem very comfortable at first, but we actually slept well. Parking is available across the street, but it is paid. The town itself is typically English – a bit neglected and somewhat dirty. What we can definitely recommend is the restaurant Base. It’s a great example of how food can be prepared using high-quality ingredients, beautifully presented, and offered at a fair, not excessive price.
Anthony Plant (10/5): Amazing accomodation but choose wisely if you have mobility issues. - We chose the location for our purpose, it was excellent. Our rooms were well proportioned and well equipped for everyday needs. Although we were able bodied, two in our party had mobility issues and struggled with the stairs. We had a room change before arriving not knowing there was no facility for people with a disability and this became an issue with getting to the upper floor rooms. The 2 in our party with mobility issues had to remain in their room until check out the next day because they had difficulty with the 2 flights of stairs. Also, although the shower facilities were amazing, can I suggest more non slip pads on the shower trays because they become slippery during showering.

We liked the carpets, decor to high standard. Lovely light bright rooms! Heating if needed. There was no part of me that wouldn’t want to stay there again. Loads of plugs and nice bright lights and lamps. The building had some gorgeous features, the windows are stunning. A lovely dog bed in wardrobe. Even our little dog loved it. Some lovely touches, like the blanket for outside and the dog door stop, the Easter decorations. Honestly there was nothing to dislike.

In the centre of Ulverston. Car parks x 2 across the road (pay & display, takes cards); and a much cheaper one up the hill (then turn right and is on the right hand side; 100m away). There is a limited room service menu (I wasn’t expecting any). Kitchen would benefit from a sieve or colindar. Note there is no lift / elevator in the property.

ian (4/5): Dissatisfied - Location. 3 different stays & rooms. This last stay was my 3 Rd stay at Longsdale rooms, 1 St time really bad sewerage smell in bathroom & LOTS of noise from other guests staying above, walking to & fro. Toxic plug-in 'air freshner' in main hallway. No hand towels for kitchen or bathroom. Windy cold front door too. 2nd time, again LOTS of noise from other guests walking in room above. 3 Rd time, again LOTS of noise from guests in the room above. Plus Longsdale House text me & woke me! Definitely NOT 'luxury' rooms. Over priced & unfair that when booking rooms, it then comes up saying that you have to pay either £99 refundable deposit, or an UN!!!- refundable £25 deposit 🤬
Chris (10/5): - The booking process and check in process were really easy and the level of communication brilliant via the app. The room had everything we needed and its a really short walk to anything you might want from bars and restaurants or shopping. Very very impressive and we will use this again. If I need to pick a fault ( which isnt a big deal) a better bed and deeper mattress would make a 9.5 a 10 plus.

Alexandru Matievschi (6/5): Dont book! Extra payments are requested as security deposit after the initial deposit. - Great location, bars and shops are close, nice garden. Very bad beds, not a 2 bed flat...one bed is in the kitchen, very uncomfortable, the bathroom is accesibile only from the bedroom and this makes uncomfortable if you're sharing the flat, doors was dirty, broken kitchen chairs, owners will request a security deposit on top of the initial payment.

Adrian (9/5): Great location for a day and night out in Ulverston. The bed was comfy and the apartment was very clean. - Central Location, lovely and clean. Nothing, it was spot on for us.

Lovely bathroom Everything we needed for our stay. Would recommend the Farmers for a delicious breakfast. The beds were a little soft for us but that’s personal taste.
Camrensammut (1/5): - We were charged after checkout for alleged damage to a sofa bed that we did not cause. No problems were raised during the stay or at checkout. The issue only appeared afterward, along with partial retention of our security deposit. Despite disputing the claim, the property kept £50 without providing a fair or transparent resolution. The process felt one-sided and dismissive, leaving us with no real option but to accept the charge. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise future guests to document the condition of the property in detail, as disputes appear to favor the property regardless of responsibility. We will not be returning.

Kimberley (10/5): Easy check-in/out. Accomodation was lovely and very clean. Will definitely be back! - It was very clean, well furnished and decorated. Can’t complain. Not the property itself but the car park across the way. The machine wasn’t working but luckily managed to spot the attendant and he was fab and sorted us right away!
Malcolm (8/5): Nice, would return if staying in Ulverston again - Clean and tidy Television wasn't easy to use couldn't find normal TV. Could hear noise of people moving about upstairs around 3 in the morning

Elle-May (10/5): Beautiful cosy apartment, great location - Absolutely beautiful There was a strange noise throughout the night, could have been a boiler but I think I’m just a light sleeper and it kept me awake some of the night
