There is Mold growing in the bathroom sheet rock and on the bathroom walls of #9 that was assigned to us, it's Nasty and unsanitary and an Extreme Health risk and needs to be reported to the Wyoming department of health, I'm seriously considering contacting.

Grocery mart across the street with everything you might need. Check out the Antique store & local history museum around the corner!

She even went out of her way and washed my bedding in vinegar since they use gains laundry soap. It was a good try, but sadly had to sleep with a mask on and couldn’t go into the lobby. Please switch to scent free products, it’s healthier for everyone. Great place and location despite my problem. Thanks Janine for all you did, it was greatly appreciated!,,
- Lucky_CenTex_DavidG (10/5): Best Bet For Hulett Lodging - Location, location, location.Quick access to a store, gas, restaurants, and, of course, the National Monument. Beds could have been firmer. If you want a clean, comfortable room with a reasonable price... Hulett Motel is your best bet.

The lady at the desk (sorry can't remember names well) offered to hold the room for me for one more day since I wasn't sure how long I'd be there. I ended up not needing the room, but it was very nice of her to hold it for me. A very pleasant stay, and I would recommend.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Off the beaten path jem - Excellent stay. Quiet, comfortable motel in the tiny town of Hulett. Very limited grocery and restaurant options as you would imagine. Even so nice clean rooms are right on the highway to Devil's Tower making easy access possible. Hosts are fantastic and so helpful. If you are looking for an off the beaten path jem, this is it.

We stayed 4 nights, and the only thing I didn’t like was they don’t do any changing out of towels or garbage so we had to ask this to be done on the 3rd day. Overall would stay again!

We parked right outside the cabin and didn't hear any of our neighbors. Hulett Motel is about 15 minutes from Devil's Tower, so it was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

- 78michaelv (8/5): I-scream, You-Scream… for malts in Hulett, WY! - I-scream, You-Scream… for malts in Hulett, WY! - - - - - - - - May, 2025 Visit My wonderful wife and I were able to enjoy a getaway weekend, with a visit to Devils Tower, WY; we flew through Denver and drove to NE Wyoming. After climbing, we visited Hulett, and discovered the Malt shop. Nina provided us two tasty treats: - Superman shake - Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream GOOD stuff… we enjoyed it walking the banks of the Belle Fourche river, right outside the front door Thank you, Nina and the Malt Shop ----- ----- -----

No breakfast.

The office closed at 9 pm and we were running late so I called ahead and was able to check in over the phone. They left the room unlocked for us. It is an older facility but it was clean and filled our needs.

- bernadette (6/5): Yard salers comfort zone. - I have no idea who wrote previous reviews that seemed to make this place out to be excellent, however it is anything but. I don’t even know where to start. There was no check in person. Thank heavens for Nina the lady in the adjacent Malt Shop who showed me where to go, etc. The place is decorated as though the owner collected from yard sales in the 1980’s. It advertised “sleeps7”, no way!! Also states river view. The river here is a mass of overgrown prairie. On a positive note, the coffee was very good, the hot water was hot.

I had to call a number, spoke to a guy that said he was on his way. Call got disconnected, waited for a call back. I finally called and was checked into the room.

- Giguere (3/5): “Western charm overshadowed by strong odor and bad Wi-Fi” - The location was convenient, not far from my destination, and set in a charming, typical western-style village. When I entered the room, there was an unbearable smell of urine. I had to use an air freshener I had in my car just to make it livable. The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting constantly, and I really needed it to plan my next day’s route on Google Maps, as I was on a road trip. It was extremely difficult to get any connection in the room. Also, the coffee maker was placed on top of the microwave, but the cord was too short to reach any outlet. I had to place it on the floor and unplug either the TV or the air conditioning to use it—I chose to unplug the TV just to make coffee. The carpet was also in terrible condition, very dirty. So overall: strong smell, dirty carpet, poor Wi-Fi, and impractical setup for basic amenities.

We had to get ice across the street at the market. The mini frog did not have a freezer space. All in all it was ok for a few days' stay during the golf tournament.

It is a small town, with a small town, rancher feel and a babbling brook. There was no person at the front desk. You had to call someone to check in, but he was courteous and had a great sense of humor.

- Joseph (8/5): Lovely motel, lovely town, strange welcome - The chalet was very comfortable and warm, good bed and TV. Also in a very good location, the town of Hulett is delightful, evoking the fictional quaintness of the Wild West. If it wasn't for the strange reception we received I would have rated the Hulett Motel top marks. The person who runs the motel was not there when we arrived, we were expected to phone him. Our British phone would not work in the USA, but the lady selling ice cream from the lobby, Maria, kindly called him for us. However he was strangely reluctant to come, despite claiming to be only two minutes away, and after a fifteen minute wait and another phone call he insisted on us 'checking-in remotely', which consisted of him telling me the room number, which was unlocked with the key inside. We subsequently met other guests who had the same problem, unable to contact the elusive host and having to wait around needlessly to check in. Why isn't Maria authorised to check people in? She was more efficient, friendly and helpful than the supposed host, and she should be in charge.

Please also provide a hair dryer. Try using a Magic Eraser to clean the shower floor (I’m pretty sure it would clean the shower floor). Consider providing 2 bottles of water (water had a strong taste of chlorine).

- Jennifer (8/5): - The small 1 bedroom queen cabins are close to the river and wildlife. We also enjoyed its proximity to town and the Devil's Tower area. It is early spring, and the true season hasn't started yet, but it filled our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

- Lindsey (4/5): Kinda miffed - Pretty rough for the price, especially outside of tourist season. Because of "housekeeping issues," I was "upgraded to a room in the main hotel building instead of the chalet (which I chose because the reviews looked pretty good). I really doubt this was an upgrade. It was two beds, which didn't matter since I was alone. There was no one at the desk, so this change happened on the phone while I stood outside the office. Clean, had to be because it smelled like the disinfectant was poured on. Pedestal sink, so no counter space for toiletries or hair appliances. The sink was kinda scummy, the shower head was very crusty, and the towels were a bit stained (I do think they were clean though). I couldn't get the blinds all the way closed, and the smoke alarm beeped the whole time. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water, so the most important two things were fine. I probably could have complained, but I shouldn't have had to, and my trip was really early mornings, and really late nights, so I'd have been getting even less sleep by the time it was rectified. Overall, ok older place, but the price was not appropriate for the room, and I think I got jerked around on the "upgrade" thing.

- Margaret (2/5): - I had booked a cabin at Hulett Motel for two nights. No one was there to check in. I was unable to warm the cabin at all. Texting the manager in the morning led to an insult that I had been stupid enough to attempt to use the AC for heat. Insulted and frozen, I left after the first night and they REFUSED TO REFUND MY UNUSED 2ND NIGHT. MY DISCOMFORT ALL NIGHT WAS LESS IMPORTANT THAN THEM KEEPING MY MONEY. Greed has become America's God, even in tiny Hulett, WY.
