• Annette (10/5): A calm oasis in bustling Sorrento - Accademia 39 is a little gem near the main historic Sorrento Center. Everything was close enough to walk to from the hotel, but it was just far enough away that the street noise was nonexistent in the late evening. Nadia and Mavi were fantastic hostesses. They provided delicious breakfasts and were able to book restaurants, cooking classes, transportation, etc as needed. The place has a comfortable main seating area with complimentary snacks and drinks. Their terrace has another nice lounging space and is often the spot for breakfast at their cafe tables. We had a fanstastic time and would stay there again if we return to Sorrento. The door handles into the rooms were awkward. It was a large knob and very close to the frame so hard to grip it and turn without scraping your knuckles. A lever style handle (what is on the inside of the room) would easily solve that. Minor nit among a wonderful relaxing week in the little jewelbox.

Mavi and Nadia were incredible hosts and helped us with any questions or issues with warmth and kindness. It was superb!

The shower needed a little TLC (tender loving care) but was still good. The bed had a strange high point in the middle…. Probably because most people sleep on the edges?

Tutto è perfetto, gli arredi, le dimensioni dei locali, ma soprattutto quello che mi ha colpito è stato il garbo delle persone e delle cose. Pervade un senso di quiete, calma, attenzione e cura dei particolari. Nei nostri giorni di soggiorno ci ha assistito Maria Vittoria, una splendida ragazza che ci ha suggerito indicazioni e coccolato con mille consigli e attenzioni. Traspariva la gioia nel fare questo lavoro e si vedeva quanta attenzione ci mettesse nelle cose. La colazione in terrazza poi è proprio il miglior modo di iniziare la giornata. Un consiglio? Andate senza pensieri e vi troverete magnificamente.

• Sinead (10/5): - Mavi was great with communication from helping us check in/out and also helping our taxi driver locate the property as it’s not accessible by car. The property is beautiful and very secure. Lovely decoration and touches to the place. Right in the heart of the old town and very close to shops and restaurants. The lady that checked us in gave us some great food recommendations and was so lovely! Great options for breakfast and Mavi was more than happy to cook us come eggs which were delicious!

• Vincent (10/5): - This is a small bead and breakfast hotel with 5-6 rooms. It’s located in the heart of Sorrento on the Via Academia, one of the many narrow streets comprising Sorrento’s city center. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the Sorrento lift, which provides easy access to the marina and its ferry landing. This is important if you plan to take ferries to and from Naples, Capri, the Amalfi Coast or Rome. The hotel itself occupies the second floor of one of the many mixed residential/commercial buildings and is reached by an elevator - important in getting luggage up from the street. It’s clean, with a very comfortable vibe. A fantastic terrace covered with an awning and festooned with plants opens off of the common area. Breakfast is served daily in the commons, with tables for dining on the terrace. The staff is small and pleasant, though unobtrusive. Coming home from a shopping trip or dinner feels like coming home. Situated as it is in the city center, Academia 39 is within 10-15 minutes walking distance of literally dozens of dining options, from street side cafes with only 2-3 tables to much larger restaurants. All have outdoor dining options, allowing you to enjoy the lively foot traffic that fills the streets throughout the day and late into the evening. I highly recommend Academia 39 to anyone wishing to experience Sorrento’s vibrant city center!

Underbar miljö, så fint inrett/modern men personlig design (som att befinna sig i någons lägenhet). Fräscht och rent!Altanen var helt fantastisk med citronträd och mysigt inredd. Frukosten jättegod och man kunde beställa olika typer av ägg till frukost, man satt ute på altanen och åt sin frukost, så charmig miljö! Mavi och Alex var supertrevliga värdar, sådan härlig energi de gav! De gav bra tips på sevärdheter i Sorrento och områden däromkring och vi fick även hjälp att boka bord på restaurang som serverade utsökt pasta. Vi stannade bara två nätter men jag hade velat stanna längre såhär i efterhand. Finns inget!

Accessible en tout temps pour des réservations et suggestions de restos, de bateau pour Capri etc. L'emplacement est imbattable. Toutefois, il est impossible de se rendre en voiture devant l'entrée pour déposer les baggages. Il faut prévoir se faire débarquer à proximité et marcher 3-5 min. Il y a une grande épicerie à 4 min de marche. Pour le petit déjeuner, simple mais efficace et bon, il n'est pas indiqué que vous pouvez commander des oeufs, mais on se fera un plaisir de vous en servir sur demande. C'est compris. Il est servi de 8:00-10:00am mais à partir de vers 9:15 nous avons remarqué que les plateaux pouvaient devenir moins garni et même certains vides. À corriger.

Its central location was ideal for exploring, and we were so impressed by how beautifully decorated, comfortable, and clean both our room and all the shared spaces were. The breakfast was a real highlight, and we thoroughly enjoyed starting our mornings sitting outside with our food and coffee. The hosts went above and beyond with lovely extra touches, like constantly refreshing snacks, fruits, and water for guests. They were also incredibly helpful, offering fantastic local restaurant recommendations and even booking tables for us. We highly recommend this spot and would definitely return! There wasn't anything we didn't like.

• Sara (10/5): beautiful, relaxing stay where we were taken care of by the 'house keepers', incredible location - It was like being 'at home' with a 'housekeeper' taking care of our holiday needs! The en-suite double rooms are off the main 'lounge' area, which opens onto a private terrace, where delicious (and home-made/made-to-order) breakfasts were served. During the day when we returned to the property, there were always soft-drinks, hot drinks, fruit and home-made cake available and we could sit on the terrace and work or read. The location is right in the heart of Sorrento's maze of streets, and perfectly located for the Chiostro San Francesco (where we attended a wedding) I honestly can't wait to return, and we promised to spread the word....

• Michele (10/5): Unexpected hidden gem!!!! - A careful & thoughtfully appointed bed & breakfast - with a flair! Comfortable bed, in a super clean building. The shower was strong and hot! Perfect pressure!! The morning breakfast spread is ample to start a busy day. We really enjoyed the outdoor communal patio, felt so serene and furniture so comfortable, while you watch the sunset with a quiet wine or beer. The bed & breakfast far exceeded my expectations & the two ladies on reception/house managers, were very warm and welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was memorable. They were simply wonderful. Would definitely stay here again. Sad we couldn’t stay longer!
• Geoffrey (10/5): Our Oasis of Calm - We were made very welcome upon arrival by Mavi, a map & orientation discussed over a coffee & potential trips plus a bottle of fizz given in our room - all nice touches. Nadia, who alternated with Mavi, was so helpful too & helped us arrange a spa visit locally, which was no problem. Indeed, both made our 7 night stay relaxed, with lovely breakfast, eggs provided upon request, with the cold buffet, left in the communal lounge for guest use throughout with fruit, coffee, sweet treats & yummy fresh made "cake of the day"! Decor gave a relaxed vibe, spacious & no problem to come & go as you pleased - our Oasis of Calm & bolthole from the intense heat & hustle & bustle outside! Internal lift exists for access/cases to guest house on upper floor. Our room was very clean, quiet, great bathroom, free slippers & mini bar & lovely view of historical area at the rear. Excellent location amongst the old part of Sorrento, everything on the doorstep with public, communal lift, 5 minutes walk away (small euro payable) to use for access to beach areas & port for ferries (saves using hundreds of steps up & down!). Mavi & Nadia, both very friendly & approachable supplement this well laid out guest house compiled by the owner who we met who clearly has given alot of thought to providing an idyllic holiday experience. We would recommend & return again, no hesitation. Thank you. Shame we had to leave!

• Firsova (10/5): Comfortable stay in beautiful space with great amenities - Beautiful interior design, marvellous and cozy outdoor terrace for breakfast, welcoming and really empathetic staff. The only inconvenience I experienced is one set of keys per room.

• Sally (9/5): Lovely place in a fantastic location. Wonderful staff. - The breakfast was limited in choice but of very good quality and fresh everyday. The homemade cakes were a nice touch. A selection on cake, fruit , water, and tea and coffee making facilities were available throughout the day. There was a free mini-bar with a small section of drinks. Room well equipped with toiletries and hairdryer, etc. Our particular room was lacking in clothes storage, ie some drawers. The room was tastefully decorated but it was a case of style over practicality clothes storage wise - but perhaps because we stayed longer, we brought more clothes than others might? Overall, it was workable - the room was lovely and very comfortable.

• Paul (9/5): The stay was very pleasant the host was very hospitable and the breakfast was amazing - The bed was very comfortable and the host was amazing. Very attentive to your needs. Stocked refrigerator for your use and unbelievable breakfasts. The shower was so small you could barely turn around and the water pressure was not always steady. The small drain in the shower had a hard time removing the water from the shower floor. Also the host charged us a little more for taxes than we expected to pay. Not a big deal but one should be aware of.

• susan (10/5): - We loved our visit! Accademia 39 is located in Sorrento's historic town center so we could easily wander the narrow traffic-free streets, shops and restaurants. Accomodations were beautiful, relaxed and welcoming, Nadia and Mavi went out of their way to help in guiding and connecting us in how to best explore the Amalfi area. We feel so fortunate to have found this oasis amidst what can be an overwhelmingly bustling area!

Prior to our stay, they made dinner reservations for us and were very accommodating when we need to change them. Marta and Nadia were so nice with advice and booking car service and tours. Breakfast was wonderful with homemade breads, fruit and eggs if you wanted. They had cookies, cakes, water, tea etc left out all day for the guests which was welcome. Room was lovely. Fridge was stocked and really appreciate the water bottles that were replaced each day. From robes, slippers and great toiletries everything was great. The location was fantastic, close walk to everything. I would most definitely recommend staying in this wonderful boutique B&B.

Even before we arrived Nadia messaged us, kept in touch with us and greeted us when we arrived. She put a bottle of fizz in our room to enjoy after a long day of travelling. Our room was gorgeous, we had everything we needed, extremely clean and tidy at all times. The whole B&B was beautiful. We often had a bottle of wine on the terrace outside and met some other guests who where staying. If we ever had any questions then we could just Whatsapp Nadia and she would respond straight back to us. We had to go out for a boat trip early one morning and couldn’t make breakfast so Nadia left some food in our mini bar for us the night before. Little touches like these really make a persons stay that bit better! We cannot thank the team enough for making us feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning back! nothing

Mavi was such a great help to us with her warmth, great suggestions and most importantly, her assistance with everything from tours, arranging transfers, taxis and restaurants. Mavi is so proud of her home town and we welcomed her advice on what to do and what not to do. Both the accommodations and Mavi’s authentic hospitality was unforgettable. • Elizabeth (10/5): It was one of our favorite stops on our 23 day trip across Italy! - The Accademia 39 is so artsy and cool. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and easily accommodated our two large bags. It had a radio so we could listen to the local Italian pop music scene!The staff was kind and helpful and available for all our needs. It is conveniently located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants, cafes and markets. We loved our stay in Sorrento at the Accademia 39! There was nothing we didn’t like about our stay here!
• David (10/5): It was our first time in Sorrento and would definitely return and stay at the Accademia 39. - We liked the terrace for eating breakfast and hanging out in the evening. The breakfast every morning was great and Nadia and Mavi were the perfect hosts. We really liked the vibe of the place; the decorating and the extra spaces to hang out in besides your room. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to all of the great restaurants and the ferries. We didn't like leaving.
