Room well equipped with kitchen & I found bed really comfortable. bathroom although small great shower & products. 24 hour restaurant downstairs & Gourmet IGA across road, was fabulous to have close as well as numerous cafes & bakery. wanted for nothing to be close. Nothing.
• Kitty (7/5): 6/10. staff were great but would not recommend for long stays. - The location is very close to the airport and the CBD. Overall, the building is quite new, interior is modern, car park is safe and easy to access. Despite that there is a kitchen available, there is no any sort of basic cooking ingredients such as salt and oil. No dishwashing liquid as well, our tissue box probably only had 10 pieces left when we got there, and the towels had blood stains on them. Bin was really small, and there is no extra bin liners available. Wifi is bad, always hard to connect. Shower water pressure is weak, and the rack inside the shower room is broken so we can't even put our cleaning products on the rack without them sliding off.

Situated amid many restaurants and a short drive to both Eagle farm and Doomben racecourses. We will definitely return and strongly recommend this accommodation.

• LeahYYC (10/5): Perfect location, lovely accommodations and incredible staff! - Where to begin? Everything was a solid 10/10. Location was incredible, right beside a grocery store, restaurant, bakery, coffee, ferry and playground for the kiddos. Very walkable to the river pathway. Facilities were well-kept and clean (access to bbqs, pool, and front-desk service). We had a 2-bedroom, which was modern, clean and spacious for 2-adults and 2-young children. We found it to be quiet, and with all the kitchen utensils we needed. The biggest kudos I have is for the staff. Weeks prior to our international arrival, I spoke with Holly about arranging a surprise in the room for my husband (it was his birthday on our arrival). She helped to arrange/pick-up cake, decorations, a few drinks, and balloon bouquets for his special day. Although I never got to thank her in person, her warmth and enthusiasm for this project was apparent in our email communications. She even went the additional step to provide little cards for each of my kids welcoming them to Australia (it was their first time). They loved it and it meant a lot to us; words cannot express our gratitude. The positive staff encounters did not end there, the rest of the front end staff were always kind to us with any request or inquiry. We had a situation come up with avis across the street, and the hotel staff provided us with a location to regroup, even though we checked out. It is no surprise to me the numerous amount of high-reviews they've received. This group has worked hard on making the hotel an exceptional place to stay in Brisbane.

You can pay a bit more and you can have a balcony and view of the Brisbane River. Sound proofing is excellent. So very close to great restaurants including the very cheap but fantastic Cafe H downstairs which is open 24 hours. Also close to 2 supermarkets - within walking distance and another larger supermarket, 5 mins drive away. Carparking available on site for a reasonable fee. Very close to the airport and the Rivercats. It ticks so many boxes - we have already booked to stay there again! Nothing

The pool is not large but a good place to cool off. Great area with plenty of great restaurants and things to do. Everything was wonderful, from check in to check out. Super clean and everything you need. Fully stocked kitchen. Will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at the Alcyone for a wonderful stay.

Staff were kind and respectful. Nice facilities like ironing board and iron, nice soaps and shampoos. I could see wipes/swirls from where the staff had "cleaned" walls or surfaces. This is an indication of just rush cleaning or not reusing a dirty rag or cloth.
