Guest Reviews
- Roxanne (10/5): Will definitely stay again. - Great rooms and unusual decor. Patios were excellent. Gorgeous views.
- Edein (5/5): Surrounded by ourside peace and beauty; disappointed by inside attention to client. - The property was astoundingly beautiful. The views and grounds were so peaceful and pristine. I’m so sad to be giving such a neutral review but I’m hoping it will prompt the venue to consider more training and attention to detail. We checked in late because our flight was late. However, is 9:30 pm considered “that” late? And, they actually cancelled our 5 day reservation without even calling us to check on where we were. No call no email. We had already paid for all 5 days. They reinstated our reservation which was great. However, on our third night, our room was given to someone else and they were able to open our door late at night while we were in it. Scared us, as imagined. When we asked for a new room because the man now had our room code, we were told they couldn’t change the code but could move our room. We were grateful but super inconvenient to have to move 5 days of belongings. At the time they moved us, I told the desk we needed new towels because I didn’t think we should be expected to use 2 towels for 5 days. I was told house cleaning should have been coming everyday but because our reservation was cancelled, probably no one told housekeeping we were really there. Huh? Also, our last two nights, no one showed up to clean our room. They gave us a bottle of wine for the room inconvenience but we don’t drink wine so our son was at least happy about the free bottle of wine. We want to stay again in six months when we visit our son and daughter again because the grounds are so beautiful but I’m worried about having similar issues, unless there are some changes in attention to detail and added training for staff. I don’t ever give these reviews but we paid a lot and we don’t feel the venue met our expectations. And honestly, they should also be disappointed in the outcome we had. Please do better. We want to make more memories on your beautiful property. But not under the same circumstances we experienced.
- Jon (9/5): Great stay in a beautiful setting in the rolling hills north of Austin. - The property was peaceful and beautiful.

- Moesha (10/5): 10000/10 highly recommend - The property was so beautiful! Will highly recommend starting with how unique everything was! The spa, music show , organic foods, and vibe was immaculate! There was nothing to not like
- Graham (10/5): - The staff and location Bedding could have been cleaner..
- Alisha (10/5): Relaxing, beautiful place to stay - The rooms are fantastic: cozy, super clean, modern, beautifully decorated. The view was perfect from the top floor vila. The sound of the fountains is so soothing. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get and the room doesn’t have a microwave to be able to reheat your morning coffee or leftover food.
- Morrison (10/5): We were so impressed that we want our daughter to have her wedding at this location. - The food and accommodations were amazing! Construction on the side of the building
- Rexie (9/5): - Peaceful and calm Food are so expensive
- Kathyann (8/5): -
- Patricia (3/5): Déception - I am really disappointed with my stay at The Vineyard Florence. Starting with the check-in process, when I arrived, they could not find my booking, and instead of searching, they just said no, we don’t have a reservation (they knew that they had an internet problem). It took them a long time to find my reservation even after I gave the number. Definitely not the welcome I was expecting after hours of driving to get there. Then I wanted to enjoy the pool. Surprise! You need to get the car to get there. At dinner, they were having a musical bingo; it was loud and definitely not the ambience I was expecting at this kind of place, I could not stand it long. Then the room, it is really pretty, decorated with taste, comfortable, and has a great view, but again… spoiled by the noise. At room number 4, I heard all night long the air conditioning from the building annexe, as if there was a truck by the door. In the morning before I leave I thought I would give a try to the 9 miles trail that it is advertised as, but it was another deception; the path is not marked and the grass was so high impossible to walk. I hope your are not an early bird, breakfast at their restaurant is not available before 9am, a bit late for my taste.

- Chris (9/5): Terrific. Looking forward to staying again very soon - Terrific location, restaurant and vineyard Doors were a little creaky at night with the wind
- rachael (9/5): Beautiful stay in a gorgeous location, lovely staff and fantastic food and wine - Beautiful room, spacious and loved the large patio to sit and look out over the vineyard and hills. Restaurant was great lots of choices for dinner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was wonderful and although a drive to get there was perfect and quiet. The walking trail advertised was not well signposted which was a shame and could be easily done.

- Georgia (9/5): Superb -
- Julia (10/5): Beautiful place, no complaints but overpriced restaurant for the kind of food served. - Loved how comfortable the bed was, also very clean room and bathroom. Beautiful view and so quiet. H Not impressed with the restaurant
Although it is a lovely space and comfortable seating, the prices where way over priced for everyday home style food cheap ingredients dressed up, I had an omelette which was very nice but would have served a child. $20.
- Dr (1/5): Insecurity - I liked the wine and the food I stayed a day and when I left I forgot my bracelet in the room and when I called to ask them to look they answered me with disregard and I had to call several times and finally they returned with a simple word “it’s not here” terrible feeling of insecurity in a place that should take care of this, I lost my family gold bracelet but the lesson was left
- Martha (9/5): Superb -
- Elaine (4/5): Wouldn’t chance it again - The grounds were beautiful. The floors/walls were way too thin. I could hear footsteps and other activities. The air conditioner got so loud we ended up coming home at 10:50p. We paid $307 and they couldn’t refund since we booked with you, but wanted to give me a complimentary stay. That was not happening so they did send me a gift card for 160 dollars to eat in the Restaurant that was actually very good.
- Denham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brandon (9/5): Will definitely be back to stay again! - The Farmer’s common restaurant was fantastic, and the hiking trail was beautiful!
- Chelsey (10/5): Perfect - Everything Nothing it was perfect
- Rotem (9/5): Superb - The food is fresh and delicious, great and unique wine, and amazing atmosphere. We took a room with a balcony and the views of sunrise and sunset were priceless. The withers has some improvements to make. Also, we had very (very) noisy neighbors and the reception was not 24, so there was nobody to talk to.
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kenneth (9/5): Excellent from the time we got there till the day we left.Saff were friendly and helpful. We were pl - I like meat and would've liked more of that for the price we paid Food was great order a same pizza and it lacked the quality of the first one
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Great property room and views excellent Restaurant food poor
- Sonya (10/5): Beautiful place for a getaway. I would recommend and visit again. -
- Marcia (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, scenic, romantic and comfortable
- Cassius (10/5): I also loved that the hotel was extremely comfortable, and clean with modern amenities. - It gave us the chance to explore a new culture and experience something similar to Napa Valley. We were able to experience restaurants, attractions, nature, live entertainment, and the concierge services was great. I was actually pleased with the stay at The Vineyard At Florence. It was an excellent experience.
- Ray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Febi (9/5): Superb -
- Miranda (9/5): We absolutely love The Vineyard at Florence and can’t wait to come back! - We loved how beautiful the property is, tasty the wine is, how clean and spacious the rooms are and how friendly the staff is!
Can’t forget the restaurant, SO good!
We will be back! Only issue we had was the wifi not working in our room (this was due to the building being stuck by lightning) and few small suggestions to the room but the staff graciously solved the problem.
- Jeff (8/5): This was our second time there and enjoyed both visits! - Very clean, friendly and prompt staff. Villas and grounds are very well maintained but could use just a few touches to make it excellent. Pool water was clean but the walls needed to be cleaned.
- Vilma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sirin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rochelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cici (10/5): Wonderful for a romantic getaway - The staff was very professional and friendly. The atmosphere of the whole place was awesome. They had live music on the patio, the restaurant was delicious and the wine was fantastic The robes in the room were a little thick and didn't have much give in the material. But that's my only complaint, that should tell you that the place was great
- Ankur (9/5): Superb -
- Lu (8/5): Very good -
- Kimberly (7/5): if I’d not been there to get some work done it would have been lovely. a teeny bit pricey for the area. - What can beat a Spring night in Texas! No internet! Men working on irrigation right outside patio.
- Amy (1/5): Do not book here unless you can be sure to arrive before 6 pm. - Nothing Property failed to respond to my request for a check in after 6 pm.
They do not staff the hotel after 6 pm -- not disclosed in the listing.
Very difficult to reach anyone there. Phone usually not answered. Office only opened limited hours Thurs to Sat. Even when open they don't answer the phone.
Could not confirm a check in after 6 pm -- around 8 or 9.
No help from Booking.com agent.
I got ripped off and Booking.com stole my money.
- Jonathan (9/5): Beautiful and romantic place to stay. - The Vineyard was beautiful and the room was well past expectations! The room was well decorated and relaxing. The bed was amazing, it was better than any hotel bed for sure! We could step off the back porch to see the vineyard and pond. They had an onsite restaurant that had home grown green and cattle from surrounding areas. The wine was great, We had the blossom(white) and Journey (red). They were both to our liking. The check out, they would not budge on the check out time. It is 11am. It would really have helped to be able to stay just another hour. The restaurant, we had booked an inside table and they had to put us outside.
- Marlon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Imran (9/5): Superb -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucina (9/5): fun and enjoyable - Food was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Coffeemaker was great. Surrounding beautiful! Wines were mediocre. Patio needed dusted
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bell (9/5): Our stay at TVAF was relaxing, tasty, and beautiful. - The property was absolutely gorgeous! The rooms seem to be recently updated and redecorated. The restaurants food was EXCEPTIONAL. The chef makes everything from scratch, the menu is constantly changing and all the wine was very tasty. I’m a red girl but the whites seemed to be the best to me. The venue has a pleasing ambiance from morning to night. There is an option to play games outside or inside..thankfully the weather allowed us to do both. You are able to drive or bike ride through the whole property and the sights are stunning. I would 1000% recommend!! Unfortunately the vineyard wasn’t in bloom when we went but even without that it’s beautiful! If you are sleeping in the vineyard rooms, I’d recommended asking for an upstairs room if you don’t like hearing foot steps. Be prepared to pay for your food all day every day..nothing is complimentary or discounted with your stay (minus 1 free glass of wine when you arrive).
- Charlene (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- Trandra (10/5): Was an amazing stay. - Everything was wonderful. It was our anniversary and we were going to San Antonio, but decided to stay closer to home. Was entertained with a Luau and then just walked to our overly large room. My husband was very happy with the accomodations. It was a wonderful stay. NA
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect Beautiful
- Cindy (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and having coming here for years. The place is just beautiful and so relaxing - We had a great time and relaxed so much. Great getaway NA
- Jennifer (7/5): Good -
- Hector (10/5): Short stay, but awesome from the staff to the room and food. - The breakfast was amazing, we had the croissant and it was so good. The mimosas were very tasty and not sweet. The price was a bit high, but it was worth it. Maybe have more variation of items, it didn't have too many choices. Maybe have more choices on omelets and egg dishes.
- Fadi (9/5): Superb -
- Mayfield (5/5): Would NOT recommend! - N/a My husband and I stayed here for my birthday. The resort itself has potential, but waisted potential. Food and room was average but way over-priced. Apparently there is a pool but not within walking distance. We were there over the weekend, there was absolutely no entertainment and the "full bar" had inexperienced bar tenders and ran out of certain liquors. It was a hit or miss in the customer service department. The place is extremely over priced coupled with poor customer service. ( particularly bar/resturant manager) Our second night we actually left early morning and spent all day in Austin. We considered just going home but had already spent the $300 for the room. Very disappointed. I do NOT recommend 😐
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Great location and fun. Just make sure the room AC lowers than 73 degrees after 9pm. - Great leisure and personal location. AC did not work in the rented room. AC would not lower all night. Stayed at 73 degrees.
- Narshenna (8/5): Romantic - I think the place was fabulous but the service took a little longer due to staffing I’m thinking. Under staffed. However the staff there was great!
- John (3/5): Poor -
- Jessica (10/5): loved everything - Beautiful stay
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kim (8/5): Very good - atmosphere being so far out of the city
- Sushruti (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful - lots of outdoor seating .
great food
best service
fun game room ! sometimes they don’t do tastings if they have other events - so make sure you ask if they are doing tastings while you are there ( if that interests you )
- Robin (9/5): Excellent! - The location of the restaurant was convenient, and the food was very good. We did not know we needed a reservation, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating in ensuring we had the option to sit outside. Of course, it was beautiful outside and a gorgeous morning to sit and enjoy ourselves. We like everything. Hands down, the friendliest staff I've encountered in a very long time. Thank you!
(Only one message: We stayed in Room 5 and the front door had some issues. First, the automatic door closure mechanism at the top of the door was broken; a bolt or two were missing, and it popped each time the door was opened. Concerns were that it might eventually fall. And, the manual door swing bar/hotel latch was missing. By all appearances, it had either been pried off by force or torn off from the base that was still attached to the door facing. Great stay and weekend, but just wanted to let you know about the issues with the door.)
- Emily (8/5): Great couple retreat. - Great location and setting. Good food and comfy bed. Food took a while but was good when it arrived.
