• Shunji (9/5): アットホームな宿 - 大きい通りから一本入った中通りに面していて、静かな環境であった。平日の朝食サービスもまさかの土曜日もあって良かったです。大雨予報で傘も借りれました。 5階でも景色は期待できません。部屋でテーブルというものはなく、ベッドに座ってベッド横の台で飲食や仕事になります。

Hotel itself was a standard business hotel but it was very clean, cozy and the staff were delightful.
• Michiyo (5/5): 二度と無い - 近くに夜遅く食事出来る所があった 中心部に近かった ホテルの駐車場を事前予約して利用したのですが､車のキーを預けるのは理解出来るのですが､ いきなり『鍵貸して下さい！』と言って勝手に私達の車を運転して車庫入れした! 別にこちらで車庫入れ出来るのに⁉他人に自分の車を運転されるのは､気分が悪い‼ せめて事前にその旨教えて頂ければ借りなかった! 取り上げた鍵も免許証､家や会社の鍵､クレカ等キーケースに入ってるのに全て預かろうとして配慮が足りない‼

• Christine (7/5): Good - I liked the free breakfast! Also, the location was very convenient. Even though I was in a non-smoking room, I still smelled tabacco. I am quite sensitive to the scent so it was a bit uncomfortable.

• Shah (2/5): Even for a budget hotel, it is just too bad. - The location is convenient. It is near to convenient stores and Nagasaki station. Also, the staff are extremely nice. It is dirty and old, and the toilet smells bad. There is no chair in the room for me to sit and eat anything, I had to eat on the bed. The walls are very thin, that I literally could hear someone talking on the phone late at night in the next room, and someone drunk in another room. I booked this room for a conference, but it is just not a comfortable place to rest after a long day. I didn’t know this was a budget hotel when I reserved, but it’s just too bad for its own standard.

• Helen (7/5): Good - Great location, not too far from the station and central Nagasaki sights. Bathroom very compact but had everything we needed. Great to get slippers and robes. Bed very small for a couple, though! I thought we'd booked breakfast, but there wasn't any on offer.
• Richard (9/5): Nice hotel - nice staff - close to railway station - Breakfast was pretty basic, but at least you could get coffee, jam and toast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located close to the city centre and main railway station and is not far from a tram station which leads directly to the Peace Park, A Bomb Museum, and Nagasaki University. Nothing really.

• Anonymous (8/5): Small, modest hotel with everything one needs for a short stay in Nagasaki. - A modest hotel which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff was were unfailingly helpful (even accompanying me to the main road and pointing out a cafe at which to eat on the couple of days when breakfast wasn’t served.) The breakfast was very nice and a good introduction to Japanese food. Nothing.

• RogerT29 (10/5): Turned out to be a great Nagasaki base! - I visited Nagasaki for the memorial ceremony so hotels were scarce to book in advance. This hotel turned out to be a bit if a hidden gem. It is about 10 minutes from Nagasaki station (print a map or use your smartphone for navigation to get there). Check in is strictly at 3pm but they will look after your luggage if you arrive early. English is limited, but the staff members are so cheerful and friendly, so with your Japanese and their English you will meet in the middle! It was a twin room so more space than normal Japanese hotel rooms. The room was very quiet (the hotel is off the main road), the air conditioning very effective. The room had a fridge, kettle, tea, TV - no wardrome but four coat hangers on hooks. The bathroom was standard compact Japanese hotel style, but had soap/shampoo dispensers. There was room for a large suitcase to rest on a stand. It is a great location - you are positioned between Nagasaki station and the port (for Hashima Island). You are also 2 minutes from the local tram stop (trams are the main mode of transport in Nagasaki and cover all the sights). Breakfast is from 7-8.30am Mon-Sat (not on Sunday!!) Hot food alternates between meatballs and frankfurters (really good) with shredded cabbage and peanut dressing, potato salad, scrambled eggs, toast and rolls, orange juice and coffee - all meticulously presented by very attentive staff. You also have convenience stores a few moments away. WiFi is good (but unsecured). Most importantly it was quiet with a good bed, providing a great night's sleep. I recommend it.
• michaelstephens1 (6/5): Well located, basic hotel - The hotel is well located with professional staff. However, the hotel has smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor so we could smell smoke in the corridor and sound proofing between rooms is poor.
• tohxinru (8/5): Free Breakfast, Helpful Staff - From Nagasaki Station, keep to the right and cross the road. When you see Shinwa Bank, turn left and you will reach Hotel Ikeda. The walk to the hotel is 10 to 15 minutes, depending on whether you have to manage luggage bags. Complimentary breakfast is available from 7 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. On the days that we were there, breakfast consisted of bread with bread spread, scrambled eggs, potato salad, poached sausages, coffee and orange juice. The hotel staff were friendly. The Nagasaki Station Information Centre arranged things such that a company would call our hotel the next morning to confirm whether our dolphin tour was on as it is a weather-permitting activity. The hotel staff promptly notified us when the dolphin tour was cancelled. Laundry services are available at the hotel though I am unsure of the charges and details.
• Audrey888owl (8/5): Close to everything! - I stayed in Nagasaki for 4 nights at this hotel and I couldn't complain about anything. The room was serviced well, clean and the staff were very friendly. It was great to have the streetcar station very close by and you were in walking distance to the train station and shopping facilities. The room had everything one needed (fridge, air-con and free Wireless internet!) and breakfast was served nice and warm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a no frills stay in Nagasaki!
