Guest Reviews
- Helge (8/5): -
- Charles (10/5): Lovely stay close to the beach and old towne Bandon - Great location; lovely cottage like setting If you want a pool and a gym this is the wrong place. Otherwise this is lovely and clean
- Charles (10/5): - only 15 minutes to old towne
- Kirsten (9/5): - Very esthetically pleasing rooms & flowerbed. Noisy road
- Robert (10/5): Lady at the seat was very helpful and friendly. She made the stay the best. - Easy access to all of Bandon. Very clean. Nice simple room.
- Kevin (8/5): Good rooms at a good price - The staff was very friendly and helpfil The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfotable
- Molly (7/5): -
- Robert (5/5): Nice place, not good for sleeping! - Nice and clean, staff friendly. The road noise is awful!
- Jose (10/5): - Nice room and location
- Zach Gibbs (8/5): Good value if you know what you're going in to. - The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Bed and pillows were pretty comfy and the location was convenient for everything except walking to downtown. Parking right outside your room is always a plus! As others have noted, the road noise could be a problem if you're a light sleeper, but it quiets down a lot during the majority of the night. Some of the fixtures can seem dated, and you may have to finagle with the thermostat to keep it from roasting you. I had to have mine at 60F to keep the room at a comfortable temp.
- Jean (9/5): - Very clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. The flowers outside were welcoming.
- Gabrielle (6/5): - Clean Floors were really cold, couldnt get the temperature right. Either too cold or a steam room.
Bath tub was super uncomfortable. Should've brought a neck pillow
- sean (8/5): -
- Linda (10/5): Great! - N/a Bedding could've been a little softer...sheets and pillow cases.pillows weren't as fluffy as I prefer. Everything else was very nice! People i spoke with were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!
- Joanna (9/5): -
- Makenzie (9/5): Cozy, calm, and worth it. - I liked that it was a cute and a quiet inn that kept to themselves. The town was very nice and wasn't far from the Beach! The beds could've been better but that's about it!!
- Eric (10/5): -
- Carmel (6/5): - The staff were warm and welcoming. For a 2 star motel it was what you would expect.
- Bellaire56 (10/5): Stay here - This place was great. A hidden gem. So clean and tidy. The check in lady was delightful. Lots of good dining tips from her. She steered us in the right direction! Location is a short walk to “old Bandon”, plus a coffee kiosk right across the street. Would definitely recommend and if we ever find ourselves on the Oregon coast, would go back. Bandon is cute and quaint!
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Patrick (10/5): - Could have a better showerhead. This was a motorhome type shower handheld gizmo that had no water pressure. However the sink had tremendous pressure! Should also have a screen over the hole. I was so afraid I was gonna lose something down there in the sink! But the staff on hand were super nice and it was a pleasant stay. I also appreciated having a blanket to feel cozier at night. sadly, I forgot my nightlight in the wall..
- Kevin (6/5): - No A/C in the room so opened windows. Road noise was loud through the night. Stayed 2 nights, no room refresh no coffee restocked.
- Mark (10/5): - Room and bathroom were very clean and well cared for. This is a classic motel venue but certainly a very well managed and cared for older facility. We got our moneys worth! Helpful and friendly owners as well!
- Keith (10/5): - clean and nice
- Kathleen (7/5): A very old motel refurbished to be comfortable In my opinion overpriced! . - It was clean and neat. On a busy street, noise all night long.
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Leslie (9/5): -
- Tsitsi (10/5): - It was a clean room. I was concerned about the door not locking from the outside. I also think there should be a deadbolt from the inside for security reasons. The door was left unlocked because we checked in after 8 pm. For security reasons this was concerning.
- Michele (6/5): - The room and property were clean and centrally located. But the rooms are right on the main drag and extremely noisy all night long.
- Amalia (8/5): - Very basic room. Clean bed. Met our needs.
- Jesi (8/5): - Cute little motel within close distance to Old Town.
- Varol (8/5): It was fine. - The manager Needs some updating
- Daniel (6/5): - The staff only works maybe 2-8 p.m. If we had not called ahead, we would have not be able to check into the hotel, since no one is there after 8 and we got stuck in traffic from Portland. Beyond that, there is no maid service and we had to ask for towels. It's a decent enough play to go play Bandon, but it was a middle of the road experience.
- Mike (10/5): - Nice to have a greeting by I assume the owner.
- Janna (10/5): - Very cute and clean
- Patricia (10/5): - Cute boutique motel, off 101 but traffic quiets down at night. Easy bike ride to cute downtown & the beach. Clean, comfortable room, nice people. Great one night stay.
- Richard (10/5): - Very kind owner! Very helpful.
- silvio (7/5): -
- Larson (8/5): I will stay again. I do recommend it. - Very Nice staff. The location was an eazy drive to Bandon or if you were inclined you could walk. Well we left the window open so we had to get up in the night and close it because it's right on the 101.
- James (10/5): - Nice owner
- Tamara (8/5): Overall the experience was a good one but that did heavily weigh on the location. The staff were friendly and the room l - Love the location to town and the waterfront. The sheets smelled like an old campfire. And there were dead bugs in the tub which was super small.
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Joy (7/5): Quick stop stay for a good rate and clean room! - The property is cute and well manicured. The location convenient for a quick overnight stop along 101 We did not realize there wasn't AC when we booked the stay and to have the window open along the 101 was a bit noisy. We only stayed one night so it was okay. The property and it's owners are wonderful!
- josJ286WU (10/5): Charming and Lovely - At the end of a very frustrating and tiring driving day, we were pressed to find a place to stay. We passed this adorable inn with a vacancy sign. We secured the last room “Tiny Tim”. It was perfect. The host was so thoughtful and kind. The room was spotless, bed comfortable and we didn’t want to leave the next day! It was so homey and quaint!! We had a refrigerator, TV and all the necessities of a big hotel stay packed in a flower-filled charming local Inn. Highly recommended!
- Diann (9/5): Superb -
- Brenda (8/5): Easy to find location was good -
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Ran (8/5): Very good -
- John (4/5): Past it's prime. But OK - Beds Hair in shower, old mismatched furniture.
- Sanders (8/5): Very good - Nice decore, clean and comfortable Too much road noise, could hear the people next door talking.
- Doug (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (8/5): - It was clean and cute. A bit pricey. There was a coffee kiosk and a full sized grocery store accross the street. That was nice.
- Maribel (10/5): - Bobbi was very nice and extremely helpful. She made us feel very comfortable as soon as we walked in.
- Roxana (9/5): Easy check in, clean place, had everything we needed for one night stay. - Clean, comfortable, great for one night stay during a road trip Coffee maker
- Ryan (8/5): - We were road tripping down the Oregon coast and happened upon this hotel. By chance it was time to call it a night and had availabilities. We don’t usually stay at motels, but this was the perfect option for the night. The room was clean and spacious. Even though it was right off the highway it was relatively quiet. It was right around the corner from Bandon Brewery where we enjoyed a nice dinner.
- Kathy (10/5): Fun stay in Bandon - Really comfortable room and very tastefully remodeled. Beds were great with nice linens. The landscaping flowers outside were lovely.
One negative was that the steps leading from the outside into the room were too high and lacked a handrail. I needed assistance from my husband in and out of the room. A safety issue!
- Katherine (10/5): - Lovely clean modern room within walking distance to downtown.
- Madison (10/5): - Very clean, cozy room. Nice and close to the beach, perfect for a small family looking for an inexpensive place to stay !
- Trego (7/5): Good -
- Jjp (8/5): Clean reasonably priced room, within walking distance to Old Town. - Location was good. Within walking distance to Old Town. The owner was very nice and quickly checked us in on arrival. The Inn is rustic, however our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is a little noisy. But does work.
- Suzanne (8/5): Very good - Very friendly check in The only chairs were wicker
- Julie (6/5): Pleasant - There was no breakfast. Room and bed was fine, but the bathroom fan was ridiculously loud, we could not only hear the fan from the other bedroom, it vibrated in our room, which was fairly annoying, the fan in our room was just as loud.
- Doug (10/5): We will always book LaKris Inn first if it is available. - I loved how clean and smartly decorated it is. It was 5 minutes walking distance from Old Town Bandon which is incredible.
- Stipan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (6/5): - Clean, right on 101.
- Haanstra (7/5): Good -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Shannon (10/5): - This was the BEST place we stayed at during our whole vacation!!!!
- Marcie (9/5): Supe cute comfy motel. - Cute rooms, comfortable beds. Pillows were a bit thin for my liking.
- Jan (10/5): A throw back from o the times when “Motels” were the only lodgings available! - It was quaint and tidy! The flowering grounds were spectacular. No breakfast - but we “scored” with the grocer store across the road!
- Sisk (10/5): Exceptional - It was very comfy. Clean room. Bed was nice and soft. The outside is very clean and had beautiful calla Lilly's. Its across from a grocery store and a coffee shop.
- Hollyrex (10/5): Great stay! - Nice clean room in safe area Nothing everything was nice
- Sherry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (10/5): Possibly stay again next visit - Comfortable room. Beds very good. Room very clean. Easy access to places we visited.
- z00zibot (10/5): My go-to stay in Bandon - Bandon is one of my favorites getaways on the Oregon Coast. I usually stay at the La Kris Inn when I can. It’s an affordable motel off Highway 101 just south of Old Town, across from McKay’s Market. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and aesthetically appealing with photography by the owners. It’s close to everything in Bandon, and just abouf about a mile from Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint and the Coquille Point Wildlife Refuge - both scenic marvels. I look forward to returning soon!
- joanies376 (10/5): Comfortable and good value - We first stayed at the La Kris on the first night of our honeymoon, and have stayed several times since. We always have a good experience. The rooms are clean and attractive and I find the beds very comfortable (on the softer side). Everything in the room works. The owners are friendly and helpful. We especially enjoy the photos of local scenes. The rooms are small but just right for a couple of nights. Over all, a great value.
- Wendy (10/5): - Great little spot. Very neat and clean. Steve, the proprietor, was very friendly and accommodating. Would have loved to stay longer but were just passing thru.
- Doug (9/5): Superb - Great location, comfy accommodations No breakfast option, room was very chilly
- Amanda (10/5): - This was a great price for this motel. It was clean, safe and convenient. The owner even bumped us up to a larger room for free. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bandon.
- Ashley (7/5): Good -
- Jo (8/5): Clean but bed was really small - Rooms were clean and upkeep has been maintained. Location was right off Hwy for easy access to old town and main streets.
The bed was advertised as a Queen but it clearly wasn't.. We have a queen at home and this bed was quite a bit smaller (full/double) seemed like a queen headboard with a full/double mattress.
- Heather (10/5): Thank you - We went to visit the area. Was very friendly staff. Clean and nicely remodeled. JT was perfect for our needs.
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The location albeit on HWY 101 is quiet and very convenient. A 5 minute calm drive finds you at the Bandon beach overlooks. After staying in this property multiple times, it is obvious the owners value its customers.
- Pat (8/5): I had a good time photographing in the area. The owners were very helpful with their recommendations. - Location The room is small and is very basic.
- Victoria (10/5): - My only dislike is the windows don’t keep street noise out.
- Anca (8/5): We did not get a good night sleep due to the noise from the traffic outside. - Very nice and friendly owners.
Clean room. There was no breakfast; next to a busy road; quite small.
- Eric (3/5): Old roadside motel - VERY disappointing. - Upon arrival a woman (manager?) checked us in while three dogs in the room behind her were continuously barking.
I paid, got the key and went to the room. Based on reviews we had read we were expecting nice accommodations. Instead, we found ourselves in a roadside motel room, reminding us of road trips many years ago.
The room was very small. Tiny TV, noisy refrigerator, stained bathtub with missing caulking around the edges, (two) burned out light bulbs in the bathroom, and hideous bathroom amenities and coffee maker.
The walls are thin enough to literally hear your neighbor snore at night. The noise from the traffic on 101 (which of course we had expected) was amplified because of single pane windows.
No more “La Kris” for us when we explore the beautiful Oregon coast!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old hotel, rooms are small but decor is charming. Very low toilet, not good for older adults. Quite expensive for what you get, but that seems to be the case for Bandon hotels in general.
- Sheldon (5/5): Passable - the floor was not clean. I walked bare footed on the floor and had to wash my feet before I got into bed.
- Ronda (10/5): Would definitely stay again! Good hosts! - Quiet, safe, great location near grocery n restaurants Low sink n toilet!
- Connelly (9/5): Superb - The decor and the photographs. I also enjoyed talking with the owners. The hwy noise
- Jan (6/5): - Had to ask for coffee and tea set up ( no cups or glasses, no coffee or tea) No tissues. No shampoo, conditioner, etc. one tiny bar of soap. The room was nice and clean, however. Comfortable bed. Friendly front desk.
- Anthony (4/5): - The couple who run this hotel are very nice, warm and easy to talk with. A pleasure to chat with.
Unfortunately, the noise level is ridiculously high. My room was separated from the main highway through town by the width of the sidewalk. Add in old construction with virtually zero soundproofing and it was a recipe for poor sleep.
Right outside the room wall in the street is a manhole cover that would clang and rattle if car tires hit it just right, so it added to the cacophony.
The mattress was firm and very comfortable. The furniture was a mix of pieces that had obviously been acquired over time from various sources. Charming in a way.
The room was exceptionally clean, except that the mini-fridge was on a raised base which unfortunately had black mold growing on it! Mold was only visible on the base when you opened the door, but very obvious upon doing so.
The shelves inside the fridge had a bit of mold developing as well. That was a bit off putting.
If there was an ice machine or vending machines, I failed to see them.
For the price I might consider staying again, but only in the rooms farthest from the street.
- Sarah (10/5): I had a great time! - Location excellent. Very clean. Expensive, but probably comparable for the area.
- jcoutdoors (10/5): Hidden Gem - Last minute reservation, owner was so nice, welcomed us after hours, gave us some great local Information and insight. Super clean, spacious room, well lite, safe parking, great location! Will definitely stay again, a hidden gem! Friendly staff!
- Dawn (8/5): Very good - Randy and Bobby were a delightful couple. Close to Old Town to be able to walk there. Older but clean. Turning the TV on an issue, but Randy helped me a couple of times
Also, the outside lights that are on all the time light up the room at night.
- Nancey (8/5): Very good - Location I don't remember
- Darlene (4/5): - This property is right on a busy road. Check in area was like an old 50-60’s hotel. Very old. The beds were nice and clean though. Bathroom was very tiny. Smallest toilet I’ve ever seen. My niece has a cpap machine and the table between beds was so tiny it didn’t fit. Would never stay in this one again.
- Janyth (8/5): Very good -
