My friends used the spa services and enjoyed them very much. We weren't able to fit in our pool time unfortunately but it's a great amenity.

• Sophie (7/5): - Hotel was in a amazing location and staff were very nice. Hotel was new and rooms were very clean. Building was going on in the morning which was very load. The aircon also is extremely loud i couldn’t sleep with it on. I requested an early check in which they couldn’t garuntee which is understandable but said they would make the room a priority and call me when it was ready but I never recieved the phone call at all. The pool in the spa was also dirty you couldn’t go in.

As this was overnight it was quite disruptive which we think is a a design fault

• Katja (9/5): Will definitely come back! - Such a gorgeous hotel, beautifully designed!! The honeymoon suite was absolutely stunning with modern touches. Being in the hot tub during sunset was the moment of relaxation that I needed. Thank you to the staff for being so attentive and welcoming. The balcony fences on the roof top were too transparent. Would definitely prefer not so see-through, for sense of privacy. Also, unfortunately there was construction happening in the building next door. Drilling noise wasn’t exactly what we had hoped for, however the staff made everything they could to make the situation better which was so appreciated.

• Anne (8/5): Et dejligt sted med venlige og hjælpsomme personaler. Selve hotelværelset fremstod slidt, dog med en god seng. Der mangl - Stort værelse. God seng. Søde og venlige personaler. Centralt beliggenhed. Dejlig morgenmad. Spa området er meget lille og vandet er meget koldt. Indretningen af hotelværelset kunne være bedre og designet mere lækkert. Der mangler et skab til tøjet, og det kunne være godt med et større badeværelse, med plads til en håndvask. Der er Tilgengæld to håndvaske på værelset nær sengen. Toilettet er sort og fremstår ikke rent, selv om det lige er gjordt rent.

• Stephen (10/5): - This was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were immaculate and idiosyncratic (a good thing) and the staff were accommodating and just the right level of involved. The location is ideal and this was especially the case during the off-season, when we were visiting. The breakfast was also outstanding and filled us up for the entire day. It really felt like a special place. Chania is beautiful and this was a great base for exploration I wish the Hamam (in the spa) and hot tub (in our room) had been functioning, but this didn't have that big of an impact on the trip.

The only drawback was finding parking in high season was extremely challenging in the free area we were directed to. We often had to find paid parking which was very time consuming and difficult. • Marios (10/5): Great hotel in old town Chania - The hotel was in a great location walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Though small the hotel was well appointed with an indoor pool, spa services and a great restaurant that served an amazing breakfast. My personal favorite was the Cretan breakfast for 2, the yogurt is the creamiest I've ever had. The room was comfortable and spacious and had everything you need. The best part of it all was the staff who went above and beyond providing recommendations and simply ensuring we had the absolute best stay. • guy (10/5): - Excellent location, staff super helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy with twice a day room service. Only down side was TV didn't work for 4 days despite being brought to house keeping attention which minor but not a true 4 / 5 star service. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

• Javier (10/5): repetiría - nos gusto realmente todo, sobretodo el trato del personal, muy atentos y resolutivos. Lo único que resulta muy complicado es aparcar, si el hotel dispusiera de un parking sería ideal. Aparcar en el centro de la ciudad en agosto es una ardua tarea.

• Justin (9/5): Perfect one night staycation - The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful. The food in the hotel is amazing. Location is perfect. Massage is a must! Although it's sold as "private rooftop jacuzzi", it's not exactly private. There are 4 other "private" jacuzzis up there and the mesh walls are totally see through. If you are sitting in your jacuzzi, you might be sitting less than 2 feet away from other guests who thought they would have a truly private space.

Staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly and they really helped make the stay exceptional. The breakfast was to a very good standard. No complaints. No parking on site but that is due to the location in the old town.

• Patrick (9/5): Idéal pour un séjour en amoureux à La Canée. - Situé au cœur de la vielle ville de La Canée. Hôtel moderne et charmant, bien équipé. Nous avions pris une chambre avec jacuzzi sur le toit, ce que je recommande vraiment : c’est plus cher mais ça fait la différence quand on prend l’apéro en admirant le coucher de soleil depuis son bain ou son transat. Petit dej très bon. Rien.

• Kristina (10/5): Beautiful facilities, great location and a relaxing rooftop vibe - We loved our stay here. We splurged for the "Penthouse" with the rooftop hot tub and it was totally worth it. The staff was SO friendly, helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was also delicious.
• Annabelle (8/5): - The property is very charming and the staff are lovely, super friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, unfortunately our room was above a busy street with bars and restaurants below and we stayed on Friday and Saturday night so be aware of this factor if you are a light sleeper. We loved the private plunge pool which you can book for an hour once per day during your stay. Its not heated but super refreshing after a hot day in Chania and you can warm up in the hot tub afterwards. The food was delicious, had amazing beef for dinner which was the nicest meal i had all week. Breakfast is also super tasty with pastries and eggs cooked to order from a la carte menu. We loved our visit to the Monastery Estate!

• Holly (10/5): Beautiful boutique in a great location! - One of the most beautiful hotels we've ever stayed in! We stayed in the opposite building and the room was very modern and well designed. Lots of storage and felt very fancy. The main building was also stunning, we loved seeing the old ruins below the hotel. Every single member of staff was so lovely, attentive and friendly, throughout our whole stay. Even before our stay the wonderful reception team helped us arrange a transfer, book a meal and shared the spa information. We looked forward to breakfast every morning not just because the food was amazing but because of the warm welcome from the team. We also had dinner one night and it did not disappoint! The location was perfect, super easy to get around and walking distance to the bus stop to get to the beach. Loads of cute little bars with live music and great restaurants are all within a few minutes walk, but not in a noisy area. The atmosphere was lovely, very chilled and upmarket, without being pretentious. Really recommend hiring the pool area and booking a massage too! We left it a bit late and asked to book a massage on the day, the team were so helpful in arranging this. I really felt like the staff went above and beyond in every interaction we had, they made us feel like really valued guests. We'd love to visit again 😊 There was some minor construction work going on above our room. This didn't massively disrupt our stay as it usually started as we were getting ready to go to breakfast, but it did mean we felt we couldn't quite relax in the room during the day. We would have been happier if we'd been told at check in. The bathroom situation isn't what I'd have chosen, the toilet is separated from the room by a sliding door and a curtain and to me didn't feel very private.

We enjoyed the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and couldn’t fault the staff. From the housekeeping staff through to the receptionists and their welcome (also very helpful for our car hire pick up) through to the dining staff. We felt very fortunate to be able to start our Crete vacation here.
