- Ismaila Bolanle (8/5): - Abdallah in concierge was exceptional but a staff at the swimming pool was being funny. Rooms are clean but had to ask for towels and tissues. Overall, I’ll consider going back.
- Shiral (10/5): - Hotel was fine, had valet parking complimentary. Only issue was when the housekeepers came to clean the rooms they took the dirty towels away but didn't replace them. So we had to phone them daily to bring towels to the room. Breakfast was ok can get busy if you turn up after 9.30 with a que outside. There is building site near it currently. The fuel station next door has a subway and papajohns. Other places to eat you have to walk all the way round as the hotel sits on sheikh Zayed road.

During the stay, there were delays in receiving basic amenities like towels and drinking water, which typically required a lot of reminders. Swimming pool was always out of towels, and steam and sauna was operated when you inform that you want to use it, means you shall remember to tell them in advance. On a positive note, the staff was cooperative and responsive once approached, and they did their best to assist whenever needed.

The room was dusty, floors were not clean, sofas, rugs, and tables were stained, both bathrooms had no hand soap, had to beg and wait for room essentials such as body towels, water from the shower was leaking out towards the toilet and sink, service was very slow (had to wait 30-45 minutes for towels and iron/ironing board), they would remove used towels from the room during service and never replace them, the lifts were not working (my wife was stuck in an elevator between two floors for at least 30 minutes), light bulbs in the room were burned out and never replaced even after bringing it to the attention of the service staff, on the last day of our stay there was no hot water in the sink or shower, apparently a water pipe broke on the 9th floor, and many things in the room were loose and/or broken. The only positive of this hotel is the grand breakfast buffet and the Metro being within walking distance. My family and I did not enjoy our stay. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Nothing is of 4 star worth. I would not recommend this hotel even if they offered me free stays.

- Naveen (6/5): - Stayed for 4 nights with my family and a baby. The room looked good initially, but on further inspection we saw that it was really not clean at all especially for a baby. The couch was extremely dirty and many spots, the counter tops/sinks were stained and dirty. We found trash from previous guests under the living room center table and hair stuck to bathroom wall. It would take forever to connect to house keeping, and for anyone to actually bring us anything we requested for (extra water, towels, cutlery etc). We had the manager come in and inspect with us and assured us everything will be cleaned, but we were not very happy with the stay overall. Keep in mind, there are over 1000 rooms, so room service requests can take a long time. Few positives are location is convenient, close proximity to the station stop and 24 hr shop. Overall, not the best experience for us.

- Furqan (2/5): Pathetic services and worst for families - Worst experience ever. Checkin was delayed. I was asked to pay double the amount what was shown on my voucher for local tax. We literally follwed up for 2 days to get the iron and iron board. Electric kettle was not working. When i received the iron after two days it was not working. Lifts are busy all the time. Breakfast is not good either the restaurant is like a fish market with no one to get you a seat. Valet service is time taking. Literally you have to struggle for everything you need from the hotel as if you are staying there for free. The only person good was Umer Abbasi the duty manager who helped me for whatever i need. I do not recommend this hotel to families.

- Salah (4/5): - My recent stay at the Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel Suites and Apartments was disappointing. While the building is impressive and the rooms are well-designed, several critical aspects of the hotel fall short of expectations for a 4-star rating. The service is subpar, with a noticeable lack of cooperation between team members. Housekeeping is poorly managed, often leaving much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. The overall hotel management appears to be lacking, as the staff, especially at the reception, were rude and inexperienced. The SPA services were also below standard. The hotel feels unmanaged, with a general sense of indifference from the staff. This experience was far from what one would expect from a 4-star hotel, and I would rate it as 1 or 2 stars at best. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this hotel.

- Artsiom (2/5): - The hotel staff ruined the whole experience and impression of Dubai. There are no self parking available for guest so you have to give your car for the valet. The last day of our vacation we gave our car for parking and one hour later when we ask our car back we noticed the damage. Hotel staff denied that it was them, but refused to show the security cameras because of the law. (I asked for specific time frame, 2:40-2:50pm because it would be very clear to see that the car was not damaged when we dropped it off for parking).However two hours later they managed to take a video and show me the video from the other night 7pm and stated that this is when we came back with the damaged car (nothing I could see in that video because it was poor quality and dark). When I ask them why you showed me the video from the other night when I cannot see anything but refusing to show the video from this day when I am sure I will see whether the car was damaged or not the security person said that he is braking the law and he will not show me anything. By car rental I was required to do a police report if anything happened to a car, I had a trouble calling the police and hotel staff refused to cooperate. They said I cannot use their phones to call the police. Later I managed to call the police, the officer ask the security person whether it was them or not, security showed him the video for 5 secs from his phone I don’t even know from which day and officer said ok. Be aware people

The only real complaint I would have is the loud traffic noise being near a highway. Even on the upper floors (I was on floor 35) the traffic was substantially loud. When next I’m visiting Dubai I’ll definitely stay at Mercure Dubai Barsha Heights Hotel and Suites. This time I’ll pick the name of the French Arabic English speaking front office duty manager. The cons: toiletries were below average (e.g. one product for hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, no soap bars, no body lotion, no area for leaving your own products) design of shower is bad where water can spill over to the floor) they give you bottled water so you need to keep asking for water to your room, no water fountain stations at the lobby, the staff arranging for cabs is aggressive about using their own cabs vs. Uber, you can’t take food from buffet to your room so you need to eat there (I get why but still annoying) the AC system is flawed (where the air comes from the ceiling down to the couch is a bad spot and can cause you to get cold) the food at the cafe at the lobby is overpriced (The sandwiches were ok but the donuts were old so don’t get them)

In terms of location, you can get to some restaurants nearby and one of the biggest positives is that the metro station is a 30 second walk from the side entrance. The only tiny downside is that when it gets crowded, it becomes difficult to get in touch with the front desk because there's a queue. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I would recommend adding more staff when possible - especially during the busy hours. There's also a Starbucks, a bar and a grocery store for snacks on the ground level (inside the hotel) which is really convenient. Would definitely stay here again!
