Guest Reviews
- Ioannis (10/5): -
- Liam Calleja (10/5): Peaceful jungle retreat with breathtaking views and a true back-to-nature experience - The staff are extremely helpful, the food is great and the views are great. Nothing.
Nada.....volvere a repetir
- Maximilian (10/5): - Silent, relaxed location up on the hill. 5-10 min foot walk directly to the beach and to the village. Helped us with transfers etc. Nothing to complaint for this price.
- Kateřina (10/5): -
- Trew (10/5): A must stay if you are visiting Sibaltan - idyllic escape in the hills - This place is a complete hidden gem and such good value for money, perhaps the nicest accomodation we have stayed in for the whole of the Philippines. The cabin has two fans (one inside the bed) and a really good quality mosquito net, and the room is very well ventilated so the lack of AC is really no problem. The accomodation is idyllic, with beautiful hammocks and seats to watch the sunrise, and the cafe has (ok - bit patchy) wifi and a shaded place for working and eating. The owners were lovely and helped us with our laundry too. Thank you for having us. We would have loved to have stayed longer..! Nothing

Bagno in camera. Ottima pulizia.
- Dorin (8/5): -
- Lidija (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful nature. - Nature and view. sunrise is stunning.
- MyriamT (10/5): - Very friendly personnel. Quitely located on a hill with a fantastic view and hammocks to relax. 5min walk from the beach. Good food. Nothing
- Liam Calleja (10/5): - The staff are very nice and accommodating, the food is excellent (I ate there around 6 times between bfast, lunch and dinner), and that's not even mentioning how beautiful the area and the lodge are. An excellent trip if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido 👌 Be ready to hear some strange noises from the surrounding wildlife at night, nothing to be afraid though ☺️
- Mihan (10/5): - Fantastic vibes and cute huts
- Frank (10/5): - Freundliches Personal.
- Guy (7/5): Good place to relax for 4 or 5 days - What was available on the menu was very good. Not all items available
- Richard J (9/5): A very pleasant, relaxed place to take a break. Note that it is not at the beach. - A very rustic place, very relaxed, responsive kitchen, staff conscientiously solved transportation issues.

Accueil froid.
Dîner très décevant avec des portions minuscules ! D'ailleurs nous étions seuls.
Ambiance vraiment tendue.
Eau froide.
- Gor (10/5): For its price range, it's a great option. Quiet, beautiful view. - For its price range, it's a great option. Of course, it's a simple room, but it has a comfortable bed (with a mosquito net and fan) and a desk. Keep in mind that there are no glass in windows, but that's not necessary. Also, understand that Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant and nearby, and Glob mobile internet is very poor.
The menu is small but sufficient. Five minutes down the hill is a very long, deserted, and beautiful beach. The hotel grounds have comfortable swings with a view of the sea. It is quite quiet. The staff is helpful.
- Deborah (3/5): -
- Angela (7/5): - Location was amazing. Gorgeous sunrise overlooking bay, mosquito netting around bed great. No glass in windows which was great for ventilation but terrible for bugs. Couldn't find water to drink. Shower flooded bathroom
- Beatriz (9/5): - It is a really nice place owned by a beautiful family. We stayed very comfortable and the cabins are right into the nature with a beautiful views.
A disfrutar!
- Lea (10/5): - Einfach alles! Local life in vollen Zügen. Die Hütte war unglaublich. Und es ist ein wunderbarer Sonnenaufgang. Das früh aufstehen lohnt sich Das unsere Hütte keinen direkten Blick aufs Meer hatte. Leider stand eine Hütte vor uns. Es hat den Aufenthalt aber keineswegs gemindert.
- Gabriela (9/5): - Very good location to have one of the best tour in Palawan beautiful beaches.
- Lynn (7/5): Schön und gut für den Preis. - Schön gelegen! Sehr hellhörig.
Nicht viel veggie essen Auswahl.
- Diana (10/5): - spokój i natura!
- Michael (9/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff!,
- Lena (10/5): -
- Odette (7/5): Good - In the middle of no where, not much internet but super nice for disconnect. Really calm during night, wonderful view! It was low season so the restaurant was not open, you have to book in advance if you want to eat there. In the reception they did not give much info. You need your own transportation if you want to go to the shops in the village nearby.
- Henry (10/5): Amazing - Nothing could prepare us for the views, we had heard they were good but oh my word this place was amazing. Woke up for sunrise both of our nights we stayed, it was gorgeous. The staff are so helpful and lent us an adapter and a pen! The food in the restaurant is tasty and well priced and the beach is only a short walk down a track where there are some great, slightly more varied food options! Definitely not one for those not wanting to be in nature, quite loud at night and guaranteed to be greeted by plenty of bugs at night although this didn’t bother us one bit!
- Anna (10/5): The perfect mix of nature, comfort, and calm. - I don’t usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves it.
A peaceful hideaway in the heart of nature, with charming wooden cabins surrounded by forest and breathtaking sea views.
Everything invites you to slow down: hammocks, swings overlooking the horizon, and the calming sounds of nature all around… It’s the kind of place where time stands still.
The place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. We felt at home from the very first moment.
The food is delicious, homemade, and very reasonably priced —another reason it’s so hard to leave.
And on top of that, they have guitars available for guests who feel like playing or just enjoying some music while taking in the view. A real treat! We honestly can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanja (10/5): Exceptional - Erlittop is situated on a hill overlooking lush trees and the sea, yet it's only a 5min walk to the best including the two dive centres nearby. I stayed in the bungalow with a beautiful view, private terrace with a swing, and a big comfortable bed. The staff is kind and the food is delicious and affordable. Wish I could've stayed longer!
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - We were welcomed with fresh juice in this beautiful place on a hill. The staff was kind enough to upgrade our room without fees since a better one was available. The view is amazing and the cabins are very pretty and well built. Our cabin had a lovely balcony. Would recommend without a doubt
- Noa (9/5): Superb - -staff is very nice and helpful
-beautiful view
-value for money
-if you want a quiet and nice place this is the right place for you!
- Miranda (9/5): Superb -
- Zacharia (7/5): Two days in a little paradise - The place is extremely beautiful! Unlike el nido, it's not as touristy and the view is to die for! The accommodation was clean and the people working there very friendly. Very close to the beach where you can watch the sunrise from! Well..we all gave laundry to them and when we got it back, there were multiple yellow and grey stains on several pieces of clothing, stains that weren't there before! So we had our clothes ruined, and they didn't even say anything.. which we dont appreciate.. anyway, wash your own clothes guys and I'm sure you're going to have an amazing time!
- Lotta (8/5): Would recommend a stay here for those looking to unwind in the quiet! - Beautiful bare bones stay near Sibaltan - booked to be away from the hustle and bustle of central El Nido. The huts here are very basic, comfortable bed with good nets. Beautiful view from the table and swing outside the room, which is open to the elements.
This stay matched our expectations based on the other reviews and descriptions- provided you are ready to embrace a fundamental standard and unplug a bit it's a great place to stay and relax.
Travel cost around 2000 pesos each way from el nido proper in a car - we were quoted slightly less for a tuktuk. As per other reviews, the electricity is rarely on apart from between 6pm and 11pm. The plug sockets in our room were just about useable when the plug was propped up with something under it. There was a shower head in our room but the pressure was so low it made it next to useless so we used the cold water Filipino style bucket shower which is perfectly practical in the heat.
- 74laci (10/5): Highly recommended. -
- Md (9/5): Superb -
- Claudia (9/5): Clean accomodation with nice surrounding - Great for relaxing, we just stayed one night and it would have been nice to spend another night there, they have a nice garden and the view is great
The staff was so nice, friendly and helpful
It’s a basic accomodation, but close to nature and clean (if it’s windy it can get noisy at night, for sensitive sleepers i recommend ear plugs) Walk careful after your shower, tales in the bathroom are very slippery
Not all the food at the restaurant is always available, we tried to order pizza for dinner and it was sold out and for breakfast the veggie wrap wasn‘t available, especially when you are vegetarian it can be frustrating
- Valentina (9/5): Superb - I was very well, I slept in the tent, perfect clean with sea view. bathrooms beautiful and clean. staff helpful and very friendly. a true paradise
- Kathryn (9/5): Heaven in the hills. I felt priveleged to stay here. - I loved the traditional style huts and the eco-friendly design. Please note, don't book eco-friendly accommodation if you're not willing to accept solar energy time-limitations and binning your toilet paper if you must use it. Electricity might be limited so bring your battery. Hand held bidets are provided as a primary means of cleaning yourself after toileting, and toilet paper is available but you should not flush it to avoid over-loading the sanitation system. I chose this property because it had the beautiful traditional style huts and because it doesn't leave a big eco-footprint. I was so impressed by the entire venture as it's quite remote from the nearest big town of El Nido in a remote rural area yet it's well staffed and established. Please note it's about an hour's drive to El Nido, but only 15 minutes from the San Fernando Shipping Port at the top of Palawan Island. I hired a scooter and paid extra for the scooter hirer to meet me at the port, but if you are not driving yourself you should book someone to help you. There are no rental scooters at the San Fernando Port. There are gorgeous traditional style huts on the property in varying styles, and the gardens and facilities are well maintained. The view from my hut balcony was over the bay and hills in the distance and there were information posters to help understand the facilities. The main bar restaurant area has internet access with various activities available, including snorkeling, a firefly tour and relaxation massage. I booked a one hour relaxation massage by a trained local practitioner and was treated in one of the gorgeous treetop huts. I felt like I was in a movie scene. So beautiful and relaxing. I had to drive to El Nido for an early flight when I departed. The staff and property guard planned ahead to help me when I left very early, which was very kind and thoughtful and appreciated. I had good access to Google Maps. Honestly, I was happy with everything except that when I arrived I had a lot of bags and needed help but the reception area is up a lovely staired pathway so nobody knew I was down there needing help. It would have been nice if there was a bell with a sign at the front gate to ring for assistance.
- Jeniel (8/5): I enjoyed my entire stay. Will be back definitely. - The property is perfect and quiet if you want to relax. The sea view is perfect too and makes a good morning when you wake up. The short walking distance to the beach is convenient. There is no exact time the power will be out. This is not for those who are working from home while travelling. There are times water is not available on the rest room.
- Lukasz (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful place stuff really nice Everything
- Ana (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing stay in the middle of nature and best views of Palawan! - Wonderful little cabins with an amazing view on the bay at sunrise. It was just great to sleep surrounded by the sounds of nature. Also very close to the beach. Bit of drive from El Nido (but perfect if you want some quiet away from tourists like we did). You have to be confortable with some bugs and gekkos visiting your room.
- Manon (10/5): Exceptional - If you like a relaxing place far away from the crowd of el nido RUN THERE!!! Highly recommended Nothing! All was amazing experience, I wish we could have stayed more days!
- Jeremane (10/5): Exceptional - The view was amazing near the huts at the restaurant and the sunrise was beautiful there and we loved having our own toilet and shower. The sfaff were very friendly and accommodating!
- Abbie (9/5): One with nature again - Loved the cabin and being close to nature The food wasn’t the best personally
- Jade (10/5): PERFECT PEACEFUL GETAWAY - Perfect place to relax! The location is great if you value peace and relaxation, away from busy el nido. It is close to Sibaltan and 5-10 minute walk from the beach. You practically have a private beach for yourself if you walk towards the right. You can see the sea from the garden. We stayed in a little bamboo hut which was lovely and very cute. The place is so well looked after! Such a magical environment, very green and loads of different types of plants. The restaurant is also good with some veggie option, quiet and relaxing . Everyone there was so respectful, easy to have a peaceful meal while enjoying food and nature or perhaps do some work if you have too. Everything is very simple but just fits perfectly with the vibes. Staff is so so so nice, they made sure our stay was perfect. If you are lucky you can see stunning sunrises from the beach. Close to Sibaltan there are places to go diving and kitesurfing. You also need to try La Carinderia if you stay here! It’s very close by (15 minute walk through the beach) Food there was so delicious and the fish very fresh. NOTHING! Everything was so good.
Things to consider:
-WiFi only works in the restaurant but it’s great for a little detox!
-Be ready to shower in a Philipino way! (We learnt to love it and actually miss it now)
-Shared bathroom but always really clean!
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristine (10/5): Peace in Sibaltan - A magical place! Salamat po for making me feel like a Princess, Gigi and Bibi, and the team💚 Wifi is slow and the aggregate is a bit noisy in the restaurant when the power is out
- Magdalena (2/5): - Our experience at this place was extremely disappointing. While the food was excellent, everything else fell far below expectations.
There was no electricity; despite being solar-powered, we ran out of power entirely. Then we lost access to water. This is unacceptable, especially during the rainy season in the Philippines.
The bed was not a double as advertised but a small one and a half size, and the sofa was just bare, hard wood without a cushion. The single bulb in the room was blinding, and the mosquito net was ineffective, allowing insects and ants to invade.
When we reported the lack of water, we were told to use communal showers and carry a bucket to flush the toilet. This was unhygienic, and the room started to smell.
Afortunately we only booked 2 nights. Basic services were still unavailable. The food may have been great, but I would not recommend this place in its current state.
- Kevin (10/5): - Absolutely peaceful. Cabins are very comfortable. With the nice breeze blowing through, i slept very well. The staff, the food and the place is very accommodating. Highly recommended.
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Kirsty (8/5): A break from convention - Lovely quiet relaxing stay in the eco Lodge. A fair distance from anywhere with no hot water and limited electricity, but they are very welcoming and you are very aware of this before staying
Sleep to the sound of nature
- Petra (8/5): Very good - Location, friendly staff Noisy from other guests. They didnt respect the rules in accomodation for the night.
- Jakub (10/5): Exceptional - This was our best stay in area of Northern Palawan, the view and design of the Erlittop Garden is great. It was clean with accessible and well working toilets. The price to value ratio was also really good and people working there were very friendly and helpful. They also serve some food (which is good as there are not many options around). Really good common areas to sit during the evening.
It's definitively the best place to stay in the area of Sibaltan No station with water/coffee/tea as most guest houses in area do however they do re-fills of bottles for 10 pesos which is very affordable.
- Juliette (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): A Jungle Oasis - My stay in Sibaltan at Erlittop was absolutely incredible. The facilities were very clean and tidily, all the staff were incredibly friendly and nice and my tent was absolutely amazing. It had an awesome view of the beach and was the perfect spot to catch the incredible sunrise every morning. Thanks so much for an otherworldly stay!
- Camila (10/5): Perfect - What a beautiful place! I fell in love with the photos and in person it was even better. It is a small paradise after you pass the busy areas of el nido or coron. Just nature, sea and forest view, a short walk to a beautiful beach. They have a restaurant with breakfast, lunch dinner and laundry service. We enjoyed our stay a lot and loved each room we stayed. We would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who wants to connect with nature and relax. We suggest also to have a meal by the beach at Rositas, very nice family and delicious food It is noisy in the early morning due to cocks but this is an issue in the whole island I think. Breakfast was
- Tim (6/5): Erlittop Ecolodge, a wonderful place, just be aware of hidden expenses. - I enjoyed being amid the peace of nature, other than the constant sounds of construction, which I'm sure were necessary. Erlittop Logde is a nice place, one just needs to be aware that the apparent 'value' can disappear in an instant, if you want to eat food at the, admittedly, lovely restaurant. My wife and I walked into a dark room to find the only light bulb in the room was missing. Several hours later, time for bed, we climbed into the mosquito net, reached up to turn on the fans, to find they were both effectively dead. Also, we were fairly certain we had paid for a 'private bathroom', yet why was I forced to accompany my wife on late night toilet adventures?
Add to that, I don't like the way Erlittop lies by omission, only making clear the distant location of the Lodge in proximity to El Nido town proper, after the booking has been confirmed.
The way Erlittop effectively imprisons visitors so far from civilization, while playing on their Western ignorance, forcing them to eat grossly overpriced food, is not for everyone.
- Christine (8/5): Peace, quiet, beautiful and tranquil at Erllitop. - Erllitop is set in a quiet eco environment, it's peaceful and calm. The ocean can be seen from the bungalows. It's beautiful ❤️. We got bitten constantly by mosquitoes! Even though we used the mosquitoe net around the bed, had the fan on, lights off, used citronella candles we got bitten badly. The water would suddenly stop coming through the taps, but the staff were great and pumped water to us.
- Lucie (10/5): Cutest place ever - The place is just amazing, sooooo beautiful. The houses are SO CUTE with the view on the sea. You can go walking to the beach, restaurants and diving school. The room is pretty big with a very nice balcony, very clean. The staff is super nice, they also serve food and they are very helpful if you want to book transfers and activities. The wifi is not the best in the rooms.
Be aware of the mosquitos!!

- Victoria (10/5): A lovely getaway stay. - A quiet and relaxing place to stay. The staff are so friendly and they have 2 very cute puppies on site too. We really enjoyed our stay here and were made to feel very welcome. They organised our island hopping excursion in El Nido and motorbike rental. Definitey recommend for those who are looking for some escapism from the towns. The rooms are also very clean and authentic. You really are sleeping in nature. They have a restaurant with quite a few options which are good. We really enjoyed the veggie curry!
Just so you are aware, it is quite a drive from El Nido, hiring a motorcycle helped a lot but it is a good 1hr drive away from most of the tours and good restaurants. Also, they are on a water shortage as no rain since December so you need to be mindful when taking showers. 👍 Nothing. It was an great stay for us.

- Luane (9/5): Amazing place! - Very simple but beautiful and clean place! The location is a bit remote but it’s perfect for a short stop. The staff is very welcoming and helpful :) for the price can’t complain about anything!
- Julia (7/5): Cool huts and views - Staff were very thoughtful and professional. Cool build of the huts. Traffic noise unfortunately you still hear the motorbikes heading round the mountain so recommend earplugs.
- Eugenija (8/5): Very good - I love nature so It was a simple stay in the beautiful nature. Had no fruit in this time😞 I am vegetarian and like healthy food.
- Giulia (10/5): Gorgeous treehouse, best sunrise view and relaxing stay - Absolutely gorgeous treehouse in the middle of the hill facing the beach and in perfect location for watching the sunrise. Highly recommended if you want to have some peaceful time and explore Sibaltan, diving and relax far from tourists. The accommodation was top!
