Super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Room was great, pool and hot tub spectacular. Everything clean and comfortable. 10/10 would drive out of my way to stay here again.

My only wish is that I would have been informed prior to arrival that the hot tub wasn't working. That particular amenity was the reason I chose this property over other options.

- Jeanne (6/5): Under renovation - loud road noise - There was no mention of renovations when I booked the room. I asked to be on the quieter side of the building. The lady said the side by the hwy was quieter because Texas Roadhouse was loud. Well the hwy side was not quiet. There was a cherry picker outside our window spray painting ! They didn’t stop working til 5:30 pm. The hwy was loud, Trash collector came at 5:45 am with loud beeping and now morning traffic was loud again. Not a very restful afternoon after traveling 10 hours and no way to sleep in. I doubt Texas Roadhouse would have been noisy at 5:45 am. I would not stay here again.

Front Desk apologized for inconvenience and allowed me to switch my room to two queen beds so my daughter and I didn't have to share also gave us a discount. With all of this it was still very difficult to carry a full size suitcase and everything else we brought up multiple flights of stairs. Or any other time we left our room.

- D1429YIsusann (10/5): Fantastic Hotel and Staff - I reserved 2 nights, with my daughter & 1 yr old grandson. While there, an ice storm hit the area. Power lines/trees down, roads blocked. 2 night stay turned into 5 nights. No power, no restaraunts, limited gas. Staff stayed positive & went above & beyond. Even brought in a gas grill to cook hot breakfast!! Marriot should be very proud of the Gaylord team!

I need electricity for a medical device and was told even if we leave we would still be charged the full rate since we went in the room. We were only in the room 5 munutes before the power went out.

- Pamela (10/5): Excellent Hotel with Excellent Service - Our stay at the Fairfield Marriot in Gaylord was excellent! The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The front desk staff, Krista, not sure if this spelling is correct,was very professional and courteous and made sure our stay was excellent. She truly went above and beyond and I would consider Marriot giving her a promotion would be my recommendation! The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious especially the make your own waffles! Would definitely stay here again.

It felt very safe and the staff was wonderful and friendly. Next time we are in Gaylord, we will stay here. Have stayed at others in the area. They don't come close. Only negative was the toilet broke that morning. Strangely enough, I have never stayed at a hotel in Gaylord that had good plumbing. I think it's a town thing.
- Sandra (4/5): - I encountered some check in glitches. The day before my stay I received an email from Fairfield to check in early. When I tried to check in the email said that there wasn't a reservation for me. So I panicked and tried calling the Fairfield in Gaylord. I tried three times calling the number listed on the website only to get a recording stating that the number is no longer in service. I arrived at the Fairfield the next morning wondering if there would be a room for me. There was. I told the attendant about the recording and she was not aware of the issue. I wonder why staff would not know that their phone number sometimes doesn't work. It would certainly discourage people from making reservations. I was totally frustrated by the whole experience. I hope they get that phone number issue worked out.

But room and building was extremely nice and comfortable, and service was excellent and memorable. GM was playing desk clerk, night auditor, bartender and more, but still offered excellent service and warm conversation.

- stevennZ6453WZ (8/5): Hidden Gem - This Hotel is a hidden gem. The hotel is not the newest appearing in the Marriott fleet, however, the staff here doing an awesome job. Its clean, the pool is inviting and Salt Water. Lots of room for the kids to play. I didn't expect it to be as great as it was. I do not remember her name (unfortunately), but the lady at the desk on Saturday Night 9the 18th of May) was phenomenal). Would highly recommend that if you are in the area and need a place to stay - I would look to go here first.

I'm nearly 80 years old and have back and leg problems. I didn't ask him, he just helped! The hallways are clean and fresh, the room pristine.I definitely wilk come back here again.

Bigger rooms and cheaper.
