Guest Reviews
- MAE CHUCILLE LOU (5/5): not a social hostel and old lady staff is rude - I love the location and how clean it was. The old lay staff was very rude. It is not a social hostel, and we were not allowed to talk in the living room or common areas. Every time I tried to talk with other hostel guests or answer a phone call, the old lady told us to be quiet. Are we not allowed to talk here?? It was crazy i checked out earlier than the original plans jezzzz
- Rashed (8/5): -
- Ulises (10/5): - Is a really good place and cheap, the staff is also so nice and all clean
- Adriana (9/5): - It was clean, the AC worked perfectly and it was in a good place for the price. Would take again. And there's a 7-eleven right below. The bed was kinda hard, for us it wasn't a hassle but just to let it know.
- Julian (9/5): -
- Kavindu Giesen (10/5): - it's zee hostel

- Omni (1/5): Terrible disgusting behavior from the guy in the reception!!! The rooms smell of urine and dust, it’s so noisy because - Nothing Terrible disgusting behavior from the guy in the reception!!!
The rooms smell of urine and dust, it’s so noisy because it’s located on a highway, so hot in the room, bad location, people puking in the showers, terrible rude staff
I stayed for 6 days and checked out today and left my bags at the baggage room.
My flight got delayed and so I left my bags there for longer than expected (instead of picking them up at 17:00 I picked up at 20:00), I just got there to take my bags and I only wanted to change my clothes and use the bathroom, all of a sudden the reception guy came and started yelling at me that I need to leave right, that I’m on private property, that I’m acting against their policy- again we’re talking about 20:00 in the evening…
I tried to explain to him that my flight got delayed and that I just want to change my clothes in the bathroom and he wouldn’t let me go inside the bathroom and kept telling me very rudely that I have to leave right now, and then he told me that if I want to change my clothes I can change them in the baggage room (which is completely open and doesn’t have a door)
I asked to speak with the manager and he laughed at me and said that he’s the only one that’s here and I can speak to him, so I said that I’m trying to speak to him but he’s being so rude and unpleasant
After staying at a place for 6 days the minimum I expected was to be able to use the toilet before I leave for the airport.
Kindness costs nothing but is worth everything, this was a terrible experience and I really really recommend to stay away from this disgusting terrible place!!!

- Emily (10/5): - Everything. The kitchen, the bedrooms and the bathrooms are very clean. There is an area on the balcony were you can connect with other backpackers. They have free drinking water (hot, cold and also tea and coffee), AC, lockers, shampoo, etc. It's the only hostel we went to that had a laundry room where you can dry the clothes after washing (it's like 30 baht plus 10 for the soap. You can get it at the reception.) The location is good, you can walk to the grand palace and wat pho. The staff is really really nice. We were able to leave our bags in the lockers after our check out for the whole day and the lady at the reception also offered us to shower when we came back to pick up the bags. The price is very good for that equipment.
For backpackers it's the perfect hostel (but don't expect luxury :)) You are not allowed to drink or eat in the bedrooms. But because of that it was very clean... so it's okay.
- Cédric (7/5): -
- Oğuz (1/5): -
- Lena (9/5): - Has all the necessities: power outlet, light and curtain at the bed. Just stayed here one night and had everything I needed. Could store my luggage for almost the whole day in a locker after check out which was nice. They have a terrace and people were hanging out but it was really hot there and not a lot of space and just a limited view. Mattresses are super thick but still kind of hard but it worked.
- Volkmar (9/5): -
- Susanne Sophie (10/5): You should definitely book this! - It’s your basic hostel, great value for money, can’t expect any luxury, but it’s a really cosy place. There’s a balcony, free coffee, water, tea etc., washing machine works great and the shared bathroom is incredibly clean. The location is absolutely amazing. Despite having stayed in a lot of great places in Thailand, I think this really was my favourite.
- Zain (1/5): - girl on reception was not able to understand anything she was racist and she shouts on customers overall my experience was very bad washroom Mar smelly lizards are everywhere inside kitchen and outside kitchen bed place are not very good the curtain was not properly hanged
- Mashood (10/5): -
- Julieta (10/5): -
- Wu (6/5): - 环境很一般,给人的感觉像是乞丐住的
- Ankita (7/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Very chill, nice staff, clean, and they thought of everything to make you feel at home! Nothing they deserve a 10
- Sudha (10/5): Exceptional - This has been my go to place since 2019. Things have changed after Covid but I am happy to see the place thriving. I love clean bathrooms, unlimited drinking water and coffee, sitting area above and the location is really nice just next to a beautiful temple and 7 11 is right next to you.
- Sudha (10/5): Clean Kind staff convenient place free drinking water coffee - I had issue with my travel so frantically I booked this place again in last hour which had always felt like a safe space. Staff were kind and supportive, that made me feel better. I am a digital nomad so needed to book a single room to take a call, the room was clean decent and wifi was good overall(only sometime wifi would be slow). I ended up extending 4 more days. I also love how bathrooms have shampoo and shower gels. Of course unlimited drinking water above will cut off your plastic bottle usage. You can use the oven here and even freeze, there is free unlimited coffee too with hot water access. So, overall this is a very nice place. I used to come here 6-7 years back stay in bunk bed, kept coming back because of the vibe and everything.
- Narender (4/5): Sad, ugly, depressing - Location is pretty good, there's a seven eleven right next to the hostel. Also there's free cofee and water at the property. The bathrooms are pretty clean and there's a laundry area too. Ahh where do I start? This is such a depressing place to stay, I don't know if that can be expressed in words. Everything feels so ugly, distasteful and simple depressing. The common/smoking area get extremely hot during the day time and only gets comfortable at late night. There's no vibe of people interacting with each other, just sad people around.
I had booked a private room which is not small, but has no almirah or closet. It seems like they converted it from a dorm to a private room. The AC is like a matchbox for that room and takes hours to make the room comfortable enough.
I've lived in non-hygenic and worse hostels, never felt this much disappointed. Had booked for 3 nights, left on 2nd night, just couldn't stay at this property.

- Emily (8/5): Very good - Very accommodating staff that let us stay on the property until our night bus!
- Anna (4/5): Disappointing -
- Oleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Treeleaf (9/5): Superb - Really enjoyed my stay here. Stayed 6 nights in the end and expect I'll return next time I'm in Bangkok. Clean, quiet and calm in a great location just outside the Kao San hustle and bustle. Some lovely streets nearby (Samsen). I got the impression other guests kept extending for the same reason. I slept really well here and enjoyed free coffees on the roof terrace each morning. The staff are fantastic too! Thank you. See you next time
- Wayne (9/5): Value stay - Spacious public area. Not tourist area.
- Pavan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johana (1/5): Bad -
- Mahmud (5/5): Passable - Good location, nice staffs, 24 hours open, free laundry. This used to be my first choice in Bangkok, but as I am ageing, I will probably try to avoid it in future.
When I first stayed in this hostel in 2016-17, it was 150 baht with breakfast. Later it was 200 without breakfast, 250 and this time, with my genius discount, I paid 263 baht. For a hostel, I consider it slightly expensive.
But my biggest problem was cannabis.
There is an open place in the upstairs for eating food. In my last two stays I found it always filled with smoke- day and night.
This time I stayed there on the first day of Songkran. I went upstairs to eat around 11:30 pm. Several people were smoking weed. I quickly ate and left and came back to my bed for sleeping. Sadly, in less than 3 minutes this elderly gentleman from the attic came to sleep. He smelt horrible, and when he opened his mouth, the room was filled with the smell of smoke and weed.
It was difficult to stay there.
Also they have poor plumbing in the shower rooms ( a common problem in Thailand) and there is always clogged water in the floor of the shower rooms. I could deal with that, but not with weed.

- Camila (10/5): Peaceful experience - It was a really gratifying experience! The personal is really nice, they give you free coffee, cookies and water. The place is perfect for people who is looking for a peaceful and respectful environment. Thank you guys! All good!
- . (7/5): Would recommended for budget travellers. - We arrived off of our bus at 5am and went straight to our hostel to drop our bags. The receptionist allowed us to sleep on sofas which was a big plus. Shower gel and shampoo etc included as well as tea and coffee and biscuits. Good location too. Had to pay extra for towels and lots of noise at night as near a busy road.
- Brizard-dulac (1/5): 3 separate guests got kicked out of the hostel after threats to get them arrested - Unhelpful, spiteful and vicious staff.
Ambiguous about their policies.
Allow stealing of your personal belongings.
Use cameras not for security but to spy on private conversations.
Threaten to get you arrested if you ask questions.
- Raunak (9/5): Superb -
- Raunak (9/5): Satisfied - The location is very good. Coffee and water available. Great stay.
- Wijffels (9/5): Superb -
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional - The staff is very friendly and always willing to help!
• The location was great—close enough to the center (15-minute walk) but far from the noise.
• There are plenty of delicious places to eat nearby, and the neighborhood is lovely for walking (affordable and amazing restaurants 10/10).
• You can find places near the hostel offering cheap airport transfers.
• They offer free tea and coffee (and cookies too!).
• There’s a 7-Eleven right next door.
- Pinja (6/5): Not the best - Aircon in the room worked really well. Privacy curtains were great. Free cold&hot water and 7-Eleven right next door. Staff was super friendly and helpful! The facilities were old and not very clean. Floor under the bed was very dusty and the mattress was hard. Bathrooms weren't too clean either, especially the floors. It was cheap tho so I guess you get what you pay for.
- Florian (7/5): Good -
- Megha (1/5): Terrible and I disappear direct - Very dirty and unhygienic. Looks inside by bed very poor no airco working and don’t absolutely sane as pictures. Staf and front desk lady behave very unkindly and angry to guests. Don’t stay here Very dirty and unhygienic. Looks inside by bed very poor no airco working and don’t absolutely sane as pictures. Staf and front desk lady behave very unkindly and angry to guests. Don’t stay here
- Narra (9/5): Superb - The hostel’s greatest highlights were its diverse community, vibrant party atmosphere, exceptional cleanliness, and the convenience of having a 7/11 right next to the building.
- Lucas (9/5): Superb - Good location, nice staff, nice common areas, good price.... A few renovations can be done but apart that it's fine, i recommend if you want tobe close from Khaosan road
- Callum (7/5): Good -
- Serena (7/5): Good - big areas, but spartan furniture
clean shared bathrooms and laundry room (30 baht + 20 baht for soap)
possibility to leave bags after check out street noise (even with earplugs)
- Said (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rishi (9/5): Good - Location Rooms should be maintained

- Natalie (10/5): The perfect hostel - The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the rooms were large, great facilities and value for money as well as location!
- Daiane (7/5): Fair for the price . - It’s clean and the location is very convenient. Poor common areas , stair and dark .
- Lucksamon (9/5): Superb - The staff are very friendly. They have separate showers and restrooms for males and females. It was very lovely that each room has its own name and color. Clean and very cheap. Wifi was not so strong but usable.
- Bechayda (9/5): Superb - Very kind and accomodating staff. They allow me to stay in the living room and common area after my check out. They also have a well protected and monitored space for your luggage after your check out if you still wanna stroll around the city before your flight. Plus++++ they have free coffee and snacks, loved the biscuits!
