• Cynthia (10/5): Convenient B&B in Old Village Shanklin - Beautiful gardens in April visit. Gracious hosts. Delicious, plentiful breakfast. Quiet location only minutes from beach, restaurants, pubs, public transportaion. Modern bathrooms and bedrooms in historic house. Absolutely nothing. It was all great.

• Sven (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt auf Wight - wunderbar familiäres Guest House in zentraler Lage. Ein sehr hübscher Garten, sehr freundliche Besitzerin, fröhliches Frühstück, genügend private Parkplätze. War ein wunderschön entspannter Aufenthalt. Zum Strand sind es nur 10 Minuten (allerdings ganz schön bergab). Direkt in der Nähe sind schöne Restaurants und Pubs.
• Gerard (10/5): A ne pas manquer. - Accueil très chaleureux , chambre confortable et un authentique breakfast, le tout dans un très beau décor. Hôtel très bien situé : la mer n'est pas loin. Arrêt de bus en face de l'hôtel. Un regret: devoir quitter ce bel endroit.

• Fran (9/5): We love the IOW anyway, and our stay was most enjoyable, thank you Bedford Lodge - we were welcomed and looked after very well, having stayed there before many years ago it was lovely to be back. all staff were friendly and helpful and it's in such a lovely location the room we had was very pleasant and comfy, however if we stayed there again, we'd love a bigger room, but appreciate that maybe they are better for longer stays than 2 nights

Great location and the room was spotless and clean with everything you need. Breakfast was great, lots to chose from and Gilly made sure you had enough to eat and drink. I would 100% come back and stay again.
• Nader (9/5): Beautiful homely stay with great location - Gilly (The owner) was extremely friendly and welcoming, our rooms where very clean and comfortable, a little small, but the bed was very comfortable and the room amenities where of good quality the location was great with adequate free parking, the breakfast was of extremely good quality and taste would for sure stay there again on our next visit to the island :) the only thing would be is that our rooms where a little small, other than that it was great!

• Paul (8/5): A very pleasant small hotel for a stay near the wonderful beaches and the old town. - Excellent location, beautiful house and garden and very helpful staff.
• Drquyn (9/5): Great place with a caring and lovely host - Lovely location to stay at with a nice garden to spent time in. Located next to a small park and very close to the beach with a couple of restaurants. Since the lodge is located slightly towards the end of Shanklin it was quieter than expected! Vegan options are available as well on request at very good quality. Limited parking spots so it can be a bit awkward if you come in last and have to park in front of other cars if you're a considerate person. Not really a downside though, it is noted in the provided information that double parking is what should be done in this case.

• Richard (10/5): One of the nicest B & Bs we've ever experienced! - There is nothing that did not go well - everything about the accommodation was top class. Located in the "old" village close to shops, pubs, restaurants and pulic transport frequent and reliable. House is beautiful, spacious with plenty of seating spaces for guests to meet and have a coffee and a chat. Bedrooms prettily presented with quality bedding, towels and toiletries - very comfortable and roomy. Fabulous selection at breakfast served by Linda and Gillie (mein hostess). Lovely touches like filtered water in bedrooms and an "honesty" bar for a nightcap! My wife and I highly recommend Bedford Lodge and look forward to returning next year. Well done Bedford Lodge and thanks!

• Roy (10/5): I have stayed at many hotels all over the world in a long life and this rates as one of the best. - Breakfast on both days was excellent, with lots of choice. Jilly's cheerful presence and helpful assistance kept things rolling and the waitress was quick , professional and kind. I have a blue parking badge . The Disabled parking area is some distance away , but I and another guest ( and Jilly) considered it was safe enough to park directly outside the hotel, which I did, displaying my badge. I could see my car from my bedroom window and there were no problems. The stairs are quite steep and a bit of a challenge for people of my and my sister's age and walking ability, but Jilly's ready assistance with our luggage was much appreciated.

Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was perfectly cooked and served quickly although there was no pressure to finish No negatives.

Hostess was kind and cheerful nothing was to much for her. The chef done a great breakfast. The grounds of the b&b were so pretty well kept lovely lights in the evening. Location was good not far from many places and there was a bus just across the road. Our room was so clean and the bed was so comfortable better than our one at home. Loved everything about our stay. Not one thing to complain about.
