Specious rooms, stunning surroundings with elephants peacefully passing by or just relax on the terrace watching numerous birds out of your lodge. Restaurant is outstanding with views over the park and what is the most important delicious dishes again the best we’ve tried in Uganda. I will miss this place so much. Special thanks to the team making our stay so special.

• Lakisha Birgit (8/5): It’s ok - The lodge was very clean and well maintained. The staff was usually available whenever I needed something and they were helpful when I asked for assistance. I also appreciated that the room was cleaned regularly and kept in good condition during my stay. It was possible to work from the room with my laptop. The internet was not always very strong, but it was still manageable for basic work. One thing that disappointed me was the chimpanzee tracking. I had planned to do the activity and was told that booking 24 hours in advance should be enough. Unfortunately the spot I wanted was suddenly no longer available and there was not much effort to offer an alternative activity or solution. I also had mixed feelings about the situation with the elephant that sometimes comes to the lodge. At first it was nice to see the animal and I noticed that it was sometimes given food by the staff. However I later learned that when the elephant damaged a door it was chased away with fire. I understand that the lodge needs to protect the property, but feeding the elephant in the first place makes it return again and again. Chasing it away with fire afterwards felt a bit sad and not very animal friendly. It might be better not to feed the elephant at all so it does not become dependent on the lodge for food. Overall I also expected to see more wildlife during my stay. Apart from the elephant there were hardly any animals around, which was a little disappointing because I had hoped for more nature experiences. In general the lodge is an okay place to stay and the cleanliness and helpful staff were positives, but my expectations regarding wildlife and activities were not fully met.

Todas las personas que trabajan alli son increiblemente serviciales, atentos, simpaticos, agradables, un 10 tod@s. El lugar es maravilloso, se respira tranquilidad y naturaleza por todos los lados y pasan los elefantes como si fueran un huesped mas. La tienda estaba muy bien, grande y cabiamos 3 personas sobradamente. Contratamos al guia para el parque y para el paseo por el canal y muy bien.

We honestly couldnt believe it when not 1, but 3 elephants, at various times thorughout the day, rocked up to the camp to say hello. The bar area was really nice and social, the staff were so friendly, our tent had a lovely bed in it and it didnt even feel like camping which was great. The dinner was lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The rooms get a little old, but everything is arranged very practical. There is hot water. Also room service is provided. Wifi in the lobby works well. There are elefants in the lodge every day which is fun.
• Erik1234567 (8/5): Jammer van de verstoorde rust - Zeer vriendelijk personeel en leuk om boven te dineren en te ontbijten. Veilig door de bewakers die er constant rondlopen en je 's avonds naar en van je cottage begeleiden . Degelijk en verzorgd eten. 's Avonds ook de huisolifant mogen zien. Goede ligging niet ver van het park en de boot. Wij hadden van de familycottage wel verwacht dat we binnen ook gewoon een plaats hadden waar we samen konden zitten. Nu waren dat gewoon twee cottages die naast elkaar gelegen waren met een eigen ingang en met iedere cottage zijn eigen privacy. Wij hadden de tegenslag dat er ergens in de buurt een feest bezig was (huwelijk) en we tot liefst 04.50 met luide boenke boeke muziek niet in slaap geraakten. Schijnt meer dan eens voor te komen.

• Jehan (10/5): 100% recommandé - Le personnel était très avenant, chaleureux et toujours aux petits soins (que ce soient les gardes qui assurent la sécurité jour et nuit, les serveuses qui étaient toutes adorables et le personnel à l'accueil). Les repas étaient excellents et le rapport qualité prix est très bon (les lunchs et diners sont inclus). Nous avons adoré cotoyer les éléphants de très près (ainsi qu'un hippopotame). Le lodge se trouve à côté du parc, ce qui est optimal (notamment pour les "evening game drive"). Nous ne pouvons que recommander et reviendrons avec un immense plaisir. Rien. Tout était parfait.

Vorab wurde ich gefragt,was ich essen möchte und habe dies auch noch bei meinem späten Check in erhalten. Unglaublich netter und toller Service. Ruhig und genau richtig um zu relaxen. Unterwegs ohne eigenem Auto? Kein Problem, denn durch die Unterkunft können Safari‘s und andere Aktivitäten geplant/gebucht werden. Essen top! Chapeau an den Koch, der nicht nur unglaublich gut kochen kann, sondern sich auch die Zeit nimmt um an den Tisch zu kommen, um sich zu erkundigen, ob alles passt. Remote arbeiten? • Annika (8/5): Nice lodge in great location for QE - Perfect for a 1-2 night stay to be close to the Kasenyi gate and the community boat tours. The food was also really outstanding, even the vegetarian meals, and the terrace where you have food is very beautiful. The staff was kind and extremly attentive. Since the roofs are natural and not covered from the inside, there are plenty of lizards sitting high on the ceiling and pooping everywhere in the room. The shower was more of a drizzle and not enough to wash hair.

Beide schlafmöglichkeiten waren perfekt. Das zimmer war sauber und auch das Essen - wir hatten Vollpension - ist wirklich zu empfehlen!

My tent with 2 beds and charging socket was lovely. The restaurant employee, Patience, and others took good care of me. The highlight was definitely John the elephant, who was there when I checked in and the next day during breakfast. That I couldn't spend more days there.

The included meals were excellent, with large portions. There are hippos that come to the camp at night, and you can look at them with the lodge guards! There is also a large bull elephant that comes to the camp during the day too!! The outdoor / campsite toilets were a bit dirty with lots of insects, but the ones near reception were very clean and can be used instead

Water was also included which was nice. I saw elephants, waterbuck, birds and mongoose at the camp. I did game drives with Innocent who was an amazing guide. Great value for money!
• Catherine (9/5): A good value safari base - Very well placed for game drives and channel, with wildlife wandering through. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. The showers in both our rooms were very feeble and not very warm. The food was very, very salty which was a shame as it would have been very good otherwise.
• Malcolm (2/5): Disappointing - Staff were pleasant & helpful Mud like water coming through taps/shower/toilet! Husband got very ill. Ants all over dinner table & floor.

We slept in the superior tent and we enjoyed it so much, there were elephants and hippos on the night/morning (no worries there are rangers all night ling) - everything was so special! The staff is the cutest and very much available for everything.

• Wendy (10/5): Engiri where service is a priority for guests - The service was beyond compare: exceptional meals prepared in a timely way with a choice of options. The guards were helpful, polite and professional when escorting you around the campsite. The shower had hot water which is rare in rural areas. The campsite is close to the magnificent Kazinga Channel. One elephant visits regularly they call "John." This is a very organized operation they have here. N/A
• Caroline (9/5): Overall - a pleasant stay! Would stay again. - Location is great. Close to the NW sector of QENP. Lots of wildlife in/around the property. Elephant John, mongoose, and a waterbuck all came for a visit during our stay. WIFI drops in/out a little. Tent was nice, there's a outlet to charge your batteries. Shared shower block was basic but good. Staff was helpful to organise trips (a guide and boat tours in QENP).

• Smrketata (10/5): A perfect Stay in Queen Elizabeth National park - This was one of our favorite stays in all of Uganda. Everything was perfect—the staff, the location, the food, the views, and the wildlife. We were woken up at 6 AM by an elephant having breakfast right in front of our tent—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience! We’re so glad we chose to stay here. We have no complaints—it was a perfect stay!

• Brittney (10/5): Great wildlife experience right at the camp that we will never forget! - This was one of the most immersive experiences we’ve had during our travels to Africa. It was absolutely surreal to have wildlife like elephants and hippos walking right through the camp and something we were really hoping would happen! At no point did we feel unsafe. It’s within a good proximity to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth, and the staff can help you book a local guide if you’re self driving. The guide they contacted for us (Ronaldo), was amazing. From the manager, to the security guards to the general staff, everyone was very accommodating and we had a fantastic experience. We were in a tent (not a lodge) so our review is based on the tenting experience. There was nothing not to like! Despite sleeping in a tent, we actually had a very comfortable sleep.
