Guest Reviews

- Jenny (5/5): -
- David (5/5): The experience was definitely short of expectation. - The location was good based on where we were visiting. The access to Innkeeper was practically nonexistent. The mattress and box spring on the bed were in dire need of replacement. The heater in the room wasn't operational, so a space heater was provided. There was no extra toilet paper or other paper products in the cottage. The faucet in the bathroom was in need of replacement, as it leaked when turned on. There were no extra blankets and the entire unit needed attention.
- Attessa (7/5): -
- Guest (1/5): Absolutely terrible we did not even walk around in our bare feet on the carpeting in there or use th - There was no breakfast no coffee and there was not one single thing we enjoyed about being at that dump The TV did not work. There was no toilet paper not even a USB port to charge a phone. There was only one light. The bed was horrible. The carpets look like they were 100 years old. It was like being inside of a dungeon then we were told on Saturday afternoon we had to change rooms because our room was rented to someone else even though I verified my three night reservation under two confirmation numbers before we left Florida. Worst experience we have ever had my wife and I $485 to stay in a dump.
- Zulay Schott (7/5): -
- Kinney (10/5): Relaxing - Comforting stay. Beautiful area. And professional friendly service.
- Quentin (10/5): -
- Linda (3/5): Sadly disappointed. - I stayed one night. The room was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. This is definitely a bare bones motel. For the price I paid there were no amenities. There was no overhead light, the carpet was very stained, and the furniture looked like it belonged in the 1800's. I was disappointed because I could have paid a lot less for more at a Motel 6.

- Robert (10/5): Last minute booking, easy chack in, nice cottage. - The cottage was great Nothing
- Marjo (7/5): -
- Rosy (1/5): - Nearly impossible to find because the motel sign was out, yet blinding lights in front of each door and window bleed into the room. Several stains on the carpet, very rundown. Terrible all around.
- Thomas (5/5): - The man who ran the motel was less than pleasant and a disappointment overall
- Lisa (9/5): - Clean simple room with all the amenities that were needed. Very close to all Kittery attractions while being on a quiet back stretch of town
- Young (8/5): - Clean room. No coffee maker, even though we had a refrigerator and microwave.
- Guest (5/5): Could have been better - The place could've been a little bit more cleaner. The pool was not open as promised, saw any staff
- Boyd (7/5): - Location very good, close to Naval yard. Owner is a great guy, very personable and helpful. Mattress was not good, had broken springs on one side.

- Michael (1/5): NON BELIEVERS/DEVIL'S DUNGEON - Leaving GANG environment
Reported to federal law enforcement
- Stanislav D (8/5): -
- Khamron (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional proactive ownership
Very reasonable rate/clean outfitted rooms/quiet/safe environment
Easily accessible to turnpike/retail/services/restaurants Saying goodbye
- Richard (7/5): Rustic, spacious, convenient - Convenient just off I-95. Big room, all electronics worked good No office person just a house person to check me in or out. Don’t like 2 long term guests on each side of my room with their doors open most of the time
- Patricia (5/5): As I always say, we don’t spend our entire time in a hotel/motel when we are away so it was doable for a day or two. - Location Mattress was old and lumpy. If I stay more than one night, I don’t require housekeeping but there was no way to signify that it was not needed and someone came in to do whatever it was they do.
- Anonymous (9/5): Very Good - The owner who greeted us was extremely nice. The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain
- Khamron (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Very good - Great location to Portsmouth NH and all the Outlets.
- Anonymous (7/5): Decent. - The living space was comfortable for the most part. The key access. Shower window.
- Khamron (10/5): Exceptional - Ownership genuine
- Sarah (1/5): Bad - No one there at check in. No fridge or microwave as it showed online. Someone stole our shoes and came into our room. Charged my debit when it said I needed to use it to reserve the room. So unacceptable. Horribly run establishment. Had bugs in the room, literally!
- Kastle (10/5): Just lovely for an older building. - It is a rustic older facility but so charming. I would make point of staying here again. Was a bit dark in the rooms.
- Khamron (10/5): Exceptional - Ownership exceptional N/a
- Rhiannon (3/5): Not good - Late check in Bed
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable - Location Not clean. Sticky surfaces on dresser. A/c unit had a filthy air filter. I had to clean it myself for an hour. Dirty and moldy filter. Also smelled
- Edward (3/5): Not honest in the advertising! Not a nice stay! - It was a good location The information stated a king sized bed, fridge, microwave, and kitchenette. Our first room had a king sized bed snd nothing else, do we were moved to a “queen” ( small) and got a microwave and fridge- NO “ kitchenette” not even a countertop! It was dirty, dusty, and cobwebbed!!!
- Victoria (7/5): I didn’t expect a lot - I just needed a safe bed for the night. That’s what I got! - It’s a good location, easy to get places from there. Clean, there are motel rooms and little cabins both. The mattress had seen better days for sure.
- Cynthia (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was comfortable and place was clean It was a stand alone cottage w terrible steps to get in and out, there was no clock, kleenex or coffee pot. The couch was not comfortable at all.
- Christian (3/5): Poor -
- Christian (7/5): Good -
- Steve (7/5): happy with accomadation... - Room is clean... staff friendly.. location convenient
- Joann (6/5): Pleasant - Traveler from Texas working in Brentwood NH. So far so good
- Robert (7/5): Good - very outdated room. could use new mattresses. very worn.
- Estrella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zachary (7/5): MEH - Cheap, nice staff, place to sleep for a few hours. Cottage D smelled like wet pickles. Pretty dirty/dusty. 2 space heaters as only heat source. Hot water never got hot. Walkways and stairs sheets of ice. The bed was likely 20 years old, felt like straw laid upon plywood. Full dish/pots/pans setup but 0 silverware. TV remote held together with black gorilla duct tape. Floor was wet?
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (9/5): I would do it again. - Everything was right there. Shopping eating exc.
- Heather (9/5): Superb - Great location
- Wolfe (10/5): Exceptional - Just the perfect little magical cottage...for a much needed rest. Thank you so much. I hope to visit again soon.
- Ara (8/5): A lot of effort went into Rm6: Pleasant and Charming. - The property was very close to the art galleries and exhibits. This was the case where you could NOT judge a book by its cover: Rough exterior but a charming when inside Room 6, marble tops on the bathroom and the dresser [both in the room]. The bathroom even had a tub and shower. Very QUIET and PEACEFUL Misleading rough exterior • definitely a work in progress.
- Matthew (4/5): Disappointing -
- Laurent (7/5): Best price in the area - The carpets need cleaning and there is very little heat. My room right now is 66 degrees and the thermostat is set on 80.
- Lancaster (1/5): Dump! - Location Everything! Room was so outdated . Looked like a kid did the woodwork and plumbing in the bathroom. Poor lighting couldn't even see to read ! Bed was so hard had a hole sunk down in it . Crap stain on the sheets. We stayed cause it was EASY access for my boyfriend who smokes to go in and out as he had back surgery and don't get around well. The owner accused him of smoking in the room and he DIDNT ! He sounded on the door and hollering at my boyfriend this am ! Trying to push his way in OUR room ! Bad mistake ! He called the cops even on us! He is a very unprofessional man! Don't stay here ! You would be better off in a tent on cement . O they also have BED BUGS !!! And I saw a friggin mouse run behind the TV in room 10 ! Nasty place and Nasty Owner !
- Naoko (7/5): Good - Front desk was very nice and we got stay at cabin. Quiet night sleep was plus for us. Bathroom was very small.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tarbi (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, close to center of town, staff very friendly and accommodating. No complaints.
- Rebustes (7/5): Good -
- James (8/5): Very good - Great price Carpet a little tired but clean
- Lee (5/5): Got to experience an old fashioned Maine cottage. - Cottage was quiet and bed was comfortable. Good cable TV. Lots of power outlets. Very sparse.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Kumar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Traveltime2021 (8/5): Very good -
- Michele (7/5): We are returning guests and will continue to do so😁 - This is a cozy place to stay!! No frills but the owners are kind and caring and take pride in ensuring that their guests enjoy their stay. No coffee pot in room.
- Hiromoto (7/5): Weird pricing/advertising. The room was decent. - The room was clean and comfortable. Safe and cozy surroundings. The staff were nice and friendly. It was originally advertised as $80-90 per night on both Google and Booking.com but somehow became $160. Maybe it was a system glitch or seasonal thing. The WiFi was spotty and works near the back window.
- Jonathan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mcginnis (1/5): Bad - Nothing Stunk...smelled terrible! Carpet not cleaned...feet stuck to the carpeting; wore socks. No iron/board. Bed was horrible...broke down! Bathroom was so small, that you couldn't turn around in it or the shower. If we could've gotten a refund, we would have left.
- Doole (5/5): Passable -
- Markay (2/5): It is cheap, but not worth it. - You get what you pay for. I tried a few motels on our trip to see the leaves and this place was awful. And for just under $100 it was not worth it. I think $30 would be a good price. It was super dirty with hair clumps on the sheets, huge spiders and webs in the corners and it just wasn't cleaned. There is a larger town across the river which we should have stayed at, but this place took the cake for the worst place I have stayed in. Just pass it up. The check in was simple, grab your key from the dark tiny office and return it in the box the next day.
- Katie (6/5): Good location comfortable bed. - The location was good. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was less than half a roll of toilet paper and that’s it. At 11:45 pm someone bagged very loudly on my wall and woke me up out of a sound sleep and scared me ( I was alone ) them
, banged again!
- Christine (4/5): Disappointing - Very clean, no spiders et al. Room 6 has two doors, both windowed, bolts but no deadlocks. Did not feel secure. Porch light shone thru flimsy curtain into my face all night.
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - Good location, nice people, clean and comfy but...wifi terrible. Had to tether my cell.
- Cynthia (8/5): Very good - Very cozy N/a
- Susan (3/5): We won't go back. - The man was pleasant. The bed was comfortable once the noise quieted down outside. We carry a black light when we travel and the bed checked out OK. Convenient location to Kittery attractions and close to a nice Cafe, the Sunrise Cafe. The room was dark. Dirty bathroom floor in the corners, all fuzzy cob webs. The refrigerator was dirty and needed to wipe out before we could use it. No coffee pot. I probably got what I paid for. No hair dryer, but it probably wasn't listed, I don't remember. There was duct tape inside a small window.
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (7/5): Good -
- Fred (8/5): - Price location.
- Jonn (6/5): For the price it was a clean and comfortable place to crash - A very affordable place to stay at a layover if you’re traveling No coffee pot or place to get coffee
- Madson (7/5): Well if you only need a bed and a pee? This place is for you. I don’t think my husband would have even fit in the shower - Cute but very sparse cabin Not very welcoming as far as aesthetics. The room was huge so maybe an added chair, couch or small table would cheer it up? We only stayed one night so it really was fine but has so much potential.
- Patrice (7/5): Good - Quiet, easy to get to.
- Terri (10/5): - A nice small motel resemblance to a motor court. Excellent rate. Would stay again.
- Shelly (5/5): Quick stop. - We booked last minute , and was able to check in after hours. Had to change out the sheets after we checked in.
- Elaine (5/5): Passable -
- Nir (8/5): Very good - Simple room, nice and calm location, and the price was good. Parking in front of your room. Outdated, and curtains dont complitly hide the windows
- Dave (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rankine-disney (10/5): It’s really close to everything. - We were in a small house by ourselves. Perfect. The furniture is old and there was a window A/C unit.
- Timothy (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Although the cabin came with a kitchenette it wasn’t really usable. The carpet was filthy - our feet were black. The location is nice.
- cindi (6/5): - The price was ok, no coffee, water, nothing.
- Shanna (7/5): Good -
- Yvonne (1/5): Bad -
- Diane (7/5): Was pleasant - The area was very quiet which was nice The mattress was not very comfortable. I’m tall and still had a hard time sitting on the bed because it was so high. The mattress edges almost dipped you off the bed if you moved too far to the right.
- Ricardo (8/5): - Property outdated and needs maintenance
