- Lori (9/5): Quit looking and stay here - The hotel is located in a quiet location. The room size was good and the bed comfortable. It appears that the hotel has had some recent renovations. Breakfast was ok. The person worked both check in and check out was very pleasant to talk with. There is a nice pool to use. I did not use as I didn't see it until we were checking out. Also, there is a deck in the back to sit on. There is no elevator, so if you book here ask for a first floor room.

- Timothy (9/5): A good experience with convenient, comfortable accommodations. - Breakfast was great--could have been a bit more seating, if possible. Room was nice, comfortable and hotel was quiet overnight which is appreciated. Staff was helpful and friendly (thanks, Vinay!) and location was near main highway (US23) so access was easy). Surrounding neighborhood was a bit run-down, and entrance to hotel could have a bit better/clearer signage (didn't see sign on US23 initially). Smelled pot-like aroma in hallway during part of our stay (guest area) and heard dog barking once as well--didn't think smoking or pets were allowed. There wasn't an exercise facility and no availability for snacks/drinks (even if for purchase) after breakfast hours were completed. All in all, a good experience and we would return again!

The rooms all include breakfast (although on the Booking app it sa - This is the second year I’ve stayed here while visiting family for Thanksgiving. The facility is very clean and the rooms are comfortable. I only interacted with a staff member when I checked in, but he was pleasant. It’s in kind of a weird location, within a residential neighborhood.

This area of up north Michigan is beautiful and this whole hotel is just the worst area You can get so much better for your money. The workers look like they hate their lives. They tell you how cleaning only comes when you leave. They say they have breakfast, but it’s cereal and old milk. They have no security measure so anyone can walk through any door.
- Joy (4/5): Uncomfortable beds, chemically smelling room - No card key to enter into building. Room smelled chemically clean. Mirror had smears, dust on edges, and window was dirty. Rusty door way. Very uncomfortable bed. Coffee pot missing tray to make coffee. I was told I was getting the best ground floor suite. Lucky they had coffee available all the time in the lobby. We had trouble with our tv for about 30 minutes, until someone came and fixed. Breakfast area wasn't being kept up. Someone left some of there waffle crust in the waffle maker and it was burnt. English muffins were stale, and eggs were cold. All the while someone sat at the front desk talking on speaker phone. Keep in mind the lobby/front desk and Breakfast area are all 1 area. I was told since I used a 3 party she couldn't give me a receipt. I told her I was going to give a bad review, she removed her broken glasses and said she wasn't going argue with me about a receipt she couldn't give, then walked away. I won't be back.

- P6940NXchristinec (10/5): AmericInn in Oscoda - This is a great place to stay while in Oscoda. The hotel is not visible from the highway, so it may be overlooked as a place to stay. That makes it nice and quiet. Try it the next time you are in town

- Kyle (6/5): Ok for the price - The hotell does have free breakfast. It said online that it didnt so that was a nice surprise. The staff were fine, the room looked like it was cleaned. The building is just older and needs to be updated but thats not really anything to do with the staff. The room is small. I had my baby with me and there was hardly enough room to fit his stroller in the room without blocking the walk way around the bed. Overall it was just ok but definitely seemed better than other options in the area for the price.

They don't pay attention to special requests that you submit for pre check-in or any of that stuff. Still will ask for card even if you do pre check-in.

- Andrea (8/5): - The room was clean and very large which was nice but we booked for 5 people and were told they don’t have rollaway beds and with no couch in the room that was inconvenient and uncomfortable. We made it work but would choose a different hotel next time. There was also a large group staying there which was fine except the parking lot is small and was nearly full. So at capacity I don’t know how you’d park. The hotel is also off more of a back road so the canal is walkable but there’s really no view of anything. Continental breakfast was fine, standard foods.

This one was a decent price. Staff was courteous, friendly and quickly accommodated my need for extra pillows. Breakfast was on time and tasty. Very much enjoyed having a 24 hour coffee machine in lobby. Honestly can not think of any dislikes.

- william (2/5): Never use Hotel.com - We had problem with getting a room on the first floor for my mom because she is handicap and can’t climb stairs.because the reservations were thru Hotels .Wyndham hotel wouldn’t allow us to reserve rooms on 1st floor. We wouldn’t be assigned room until we arrived. Which were on 2nd floor so aug 2 we had to stay with relatives and couldn’t get into rooms on 1st floor until after 4pm .it w a s a waste of money going through Hotels for reservations and I didn’t save anything I could of booked the rooms myself for about the same price I will never use Hotel again and would like a refund for aug2. And for part of aug3 and the $100 for guarantee reservation.also we had traveled 420miles

- 636dorothyp (8/5): A good stay - The bathroom door stuck and there was no facial tissue. The eggs at breakfast were cold and I could not find salt and pepper. However, the beds were comfy and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and all in all it was a good stay

The hotel could definitely use some updates both major and minor so although it was clean on the surface there was a lot of rust (like on the door frames) and wear. Beds are extra firm! Even upgrading the decor might make a difference! Overall positive experience though!
- Ashley (3/5): That was rude. - The view from the room. It's in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There are no shops or stores within walking distance. The staff barely acknowledged that I was even there. We would make eye contact and they would look away. No smiles in two days. I've never felt like more of an imposition and I paid 250+ for that treatment. I wanted to give them my towels, when they were in the hall with cleaning carts, and they acted like I was handing off my personal laundry. I've never been more excited to leave a stay at I was this one. I'll never go back there, no matter how many times I'm in town.
