- Daniele (2/5): Sporco, stretto, descrizione del luogo fuorviante, in pratica non andare rimmarrete delusi meglio spendere 20 euro in pi - Diciamo che l’unica nota positiva della struttura è stata la persona che stava alla “reception”, (se si può definire tale) molto cordiale e educato, ma per il resto… Innanzitutto nell’avviso non sta specificato che devi farti 1 km a piedi in un bosco tra piante e animali, senza considerare che la notte è tutto buio e non si vede nulla, considerando che io dovevo andare a un matrimonio dopo essermi lavato e vestito sono dovuto tornare indietro più e più volte per ripetere il processo, perché vi lascio immaginare a 30 gradi con un vestito e scarpe da cerimonia come sia scomodo camminare tra le piante e sul fango. Poi altra nota negativissima la stanza: per adesso in trent’anni di vita ho avuto la “fortuna” di non essere mai andato in carcere😂, però se dovessi immaginarmi la cella la immagino migliore della suddetta stanza, eravamo in 2 se uno dei due era all’ in piedi l’altro non poteva doveva stare per forza seduto sul letto, tralasciando un’altra nota dolente per il bagno 1m di ampiezza senza finestre . Io capisco che chi possiede le case cerca di trarne il massimo, ma se avete 4 stanze non fittatele tutte 4 per 8 persone almeno abbiate la bontà di far entrare massimo 2/3 persone alla volta. Perché credetemi è una villa di massimo 2/3 persone. P.s. In carcere non sono mai stato però una notte l’ho fatta 😉 chi vuole capire capisce

The location is great, nearby several coastal towns but far enough from the tourist-y areas so it’s very peaceful. The staff is also incredibly welcoming and helpful! Many thanks to Giuseppe for giving us recommendations on beaches and restaurants to visit. I would definitely stay here again!

- Adam (10/5): Beautiful Relaxing Hotel - Beautiful place to stay and amazing base for exploring the region. Giuseppe was an amazing host and we had great fun with him and the other residents as well as doing our own thing with the restaurants and bars nearby. Not for the feint hearted if you don't like hilly walks or have a moped/car with you but the whole region is like this.
- Mario (8/5): - Es ist kein Hotel, eher ein B&B. Das Zimmer ist OK, wir sind mit 3 Personen gereist. Bad Annehmlichkeiten (Duschbad, Haarwäsche,etc), Poolhandtücher sind mitzubringen. Das Personal (Giuseppe) reißt alles raus. Freundlich, hilfsbereit, und viele Tipps wo man hingehen sollte, was man sich ansehen sollte und Buchung von Restaurants und Tagestrips waren perfekt. Ein Highlight! Jede Anfrage wurde sofort umgesetzt. Offizielle Beschreibung wo sich die Unterkunft befindet ( Expedia, Google, Unterkunft) waren ungenau oder verwirrend. Man geht einen Pfad , neben dem Lebensmittelladen entlang und kommt zu der Villa. Wenn man mit viel Gepäck reist (Familie) ist das schon etwas anstrengend. Es gibt es Zufahrt direkt unter der Villa, die nur für erfahrene Fahrer mit kleinem Auto geeignet sind. Der Zugang hierzu ist beim Personal zu erfragen. Google Maps führt einen in die Irre.

Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, sauber und seht schön. Aber vor allem Ricardo und Giuseppe ein großes Danke für die Gastfreundschaft, das Frühstück und Hilfe beim organisieren von Ausflügen etc. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder!

- Jean (10/5): - This is a SPECTACULAR place. There are only 3 rooms, one on each floor, each has a balcony overlooking the sea, with plenty of space to sit. I watched the sun set to my left and rise to my right from the same balcony! after an evening swim Down from the house itself there is a beautifully pool also facing the sea. It is lit up in the evening so you can swim any time.The hosts provided poolside snacks and let my daughter hook up her music to the speaker. By the pool, you can lounge in pool chairs or sit in a swing seat and look out over the ocean. I could have spent another week there, It's about a 20 minute drive to Sorrento from there but Sorrento was mobbed with tourists whereas Massa Lubrense is a much quieter place. But easy to launch an Amalfi coast trip from there and only about an hour down from Naples or half an hour from Pompei., and what can I say about Guiseppe that isn't already in every review? he is responsive, proactive, fun-loving, responsible, hilarious. Just loves making people happy. He responded to our questions about arrival immediately, helped with arrival, bags, parking, made dinner and boat reservations, and also makes great breakfasts! most of all he has an incredible love of life and is someone you just want to spend time with (though he is also entirely respectful of your own privacy of course) Overall an amazing place - I will be back as many times as life permits. Hats off!

Sorrento was one of our stops on our 3 week honeymoon trip around Europe. We really lucked out by booking this property with Giuseppe. So much so that it made our goodbye a hard one & we wished that we could’ve stayed for the rest of our honeymoon! The villa it’s self is beautiful, quiet and has a breathtaking view but what made the place so special was the host Giuseppe! He picked us up from the bus station, offered his motorcycle to drive around town, set up a outing for us to go to Capri, took us to go get drinks with him one night, cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning, Invited us to dinner (home cooked meal) another night with his friends that quickly became our friends as well & even drove us back to the bus station at the end of our trip. The room we stayed in had the most breathtaking view, the pool was amazing & everything was really clean and homey feeling. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience & now we’re planning to come back with our family & rent out the whole villa in the future! From the beginning to the end of our trip in Sorrento we had the best time thanks to Giuseppe & our stay at Antonio Massa Lubrense!

The host was very helpful in this regard. The area has limited dining options, but the host provided excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. The room was very nice and clean. The hotel's common areas had an impressive view of the water, and in the evening, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and the view of Capri. The pool was clean and perfect for cooling off in the hot weather.

Nice touches and wonderful helpful staff. Only challenge is parking. It’s a bit of a walk on an old concrete path with stairs so pulling luggage is a bit of an effort.

- Kenneth (10/5): A Hidden Gem - My wife and I spent five wonderful nights at Antonio Massa Lubrense. The property is a converted villa up in the hills south of Sorrento and has spectacular views of the sea and surrounding terrain. Giuseppe and his wife, Rosaria, made us feel completely at home, serving us a delicious breakfast each morning and promptly responding to our needs (such as taking us into Sorrento or helping to arrange a boat tour of the Amalfi coast). The property itself was very clean and well maintained, and has a spacious patio and pool. Our room had an amazing overlook and was very comfortable. If you are looking for a pleasant place away from the crowds in Sorrento and the Amalfi coast, while still being accessible to both, this is the ideal place to stay!
- Angelinna (10/5): - I stumbled upon this while searching through Expedia and was wary because of the little reviews, however, I am SO happy that I did. I travel quite frequently and this has been the most amazing place that I have ever stayed! I initially booked this hotel for 3 nights in July, but ended up extending it another night because of how amazing it was! First, the location is absolutely amazing - a little secluded from the hustle and bustle of the main areas, and still offers the same spectacular views. The host Giuseppe is super accommodating and always offers a lift or any assistance needed. The hotel was about a 15-20 minute walk to the Sorrento center, which was very convenient and an amazing place to go shopping and eating. There are restaurants and shops that are closer to the hotel, in case you don’t want to walk much. The property itself was absolutely incredible! Every room has a balcony, where you can see the sea and even Capri and Vesuvius if the skies are clear enough! The breakfast in the morning is always super fresh and delicious, and the swimming pool is amazing for hot summer days or late night dips. This was an absolutely amazing experience and Giuseppe really made it feel like home while we were there! We are going to be coming back every summer! Thank you Giuseppe!!!
- NIKI (2/5): - We booked this property knowing that there was a fee if we checked in late. I messaged the property owner at about 8pm letting them know we were driving in from sicily and we would be late. They cancelled our reservation at 10pm and leftus with no where to go

- Gary (10/5): A fantastic place which would be great for a peaceful family getaway by booking the whole property. - The whole set up , building , quality of the room were excellent and the owner Giuseppe who was incredibly kind and helpful. My son was staying there to attend a family event and he loved it. The aroma of lemons each morning and the views were incredible. The pool is a good size for a plunge pool or for small children and was very clean. This property as a whole would be great for a family who just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and want to use it as a base to relax, The room my son stayed in didn't have cooking facilities but wasn't needed. There is a really nice church nearby and a SPAR shop which has everything you need. Very unfairly because the property and gardens are beautiful, but i think it is important to note that I have scored the location as lower due to the access requirements for anyone who could struggle to walk up and down the path to the property, and that there is no localised parking at the property. You would also need transport to get to any shops or restaurants.

- John (8/5): Perfect location and the best host - We were a family of 4 spending 4 days here. We loved everything about Antonio ML. It is a perfect and quiet place. It is easy to reach Sorrento and Positano by car but we loved coming back to the views at Antonio ML. Rosario made a lovely breakfast and Giuseppe gave us so many good recommendations. Ask him for everything and he will help you. Restaurants, beaches, etc. He knows it all :-). Thanks Giuseppe for making our stay perfect. When we come back to the Amalfi coast, we will for sure stay at Antonio ML.

- Leta (10/5): - Nestled in the hills about 10 mins drive from busy Sorrento , it’s quant peaceful vibe and view of the sea was absolutely stunning . You can not beat the views from the rooms ! The host was thee best host we’ve ever met , he will pick you up at the port for 20Euros as taxis can be over priced ** he will also drive to and from Sorrento for any outing . He treaded us like family and he’s charming personality and tact for his quests will have us coming back for years to come , the area /driveway requires a lot of steep walking ** Recommend over any spot in the area !!!
- Marina (10/5): - This beautiful property is nestled among the hills and offers a gorgeous, panoramic view of the surrounding area and the water - in my opinion, the best view I have seen in Massa Lubrense. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds but not too far where you cannot get to everything in a short amount of time. The rooms themselves are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The best thing about our stay was the warmth and amazing care afforded us by the manager, Giuseppe. He attended to our and all the guests' every need immediately and his generosity of spirit, humor and kindness made us feel like this was truly our home for the five days we were there. We would definitely come back and recommend to others. An amazing experience all around!

He was able to come out to us when we didn’t know our ways and recommended places to eat and visit. On top of that, the room was extremely clean and spacious. Giussepe (the host) is so welcoming and accommodating. He picked us up from the airport for a small fee... the ride in the car was so pleasant. He told jokes, got to know us and gave suggestions. It felt like we were visiting a friend! He was extremely responsive to all of our questions, accommated all pf our requests and made us feel at home. The home is quiet. About 10-15 min from sorrento. There are a couple of lovely restaurantsin town or you can head over to sorrento to shop, explore eat and/or catch a boat to other parts of the amalfi coast. 5 star experience. - Travis (10/5): - I don’t often take the time to post reviews, and my wife and I are not the type to visit the same place twice but our experience here was outstanding enough to give this property and its staff a shout out and make us ponder coming back. Everything was clean and functional, the location was quiet, romantic and secluded with an awesome view out of our room’s window and our host Giuseppe and the kitchen staff took excellent care of us. Breakfast is worth expounding on - some places start off great but then taper off but everything here was wonderful the entire time, with more amazing local fare (and also prepared foods if for some reason you want them) than we could eat. Definitely recommended!
- Kabi (8/5): - Set in the hills of Sorrento, it has a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples with Mt Vesuvius looming in the background. We were a bit late to book our trip to Sorrento as the original plan was to visit Pompeii, Vesuvius, capri from Rome. We changed to living in Sorrento as we wanted to avoid the long drives from Rome. Given that it is summer, most hotels in Sorrento were already sold out. Instead of living dangerously in Naples, we decided to try out Antonio Massa Lubrense. The property manager - Giuseppe is a standup guy. He went out of his way to ensure we were picked up on time from the ferry, drove us for dinner and to/from any tour drop offs / pickups. He was very accommodative to our requests for early breakfasts. The owners are working on adding a pool. The location is a bit further away from the town leading to fewer dining options - but that also leads to us being able to hear the crickets at night.

Perdu dans un petit village, l'hôtel est fabuleux avec un jardin digne des plus beaux hôtels de la côte italienne, une vue mer extraordinaire (je conseille un coucher de soleil vu du jardin) et un calme absolu. Chambre parfaite. Impossible de visiter la côte amalfitaine sans faire une halte dans cet hotel. Ceci est nettement mieux que de dormir à sorrente.
- James (10/5): Hidden Gem - Antonio Massa Lubrense was a jewel of a find. The B&B was stunning and the views from our bedroom are hard to beat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A great little getaway and very romatic. The only drawback was the long walk from street parking to the B&B itself along a fairly steep path through lemon and olive trees. The little grocery store at the start of the path leading to the B&B was fantastic. Tiny, but they had everything you could want and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great for the adventurous couple looking for a romantic getaway near the Amalfi Coast. Definitely not for people with disabilities

We did have some issues with ants and power outages, but the staff was able to help promptly. The only downside to this place is that it is a bit difficult to find and to get to. If you plan on using public transportation, be prepared to walk, a lot. Massa Lubrense in general is inconvenient since most of the public transportation to positano and amalfi leave from sorrento. I recommend renting a scooter to get around if you do not want to walk.

There is a walkway to the property from the road where you park, recommend proper walking shoes and flashlight if walking at night. WiFi provided and breakfast every morning. - Juan Jose (8/5): Opción muy buena en la península de Sorrento - Llegamos y nos sorprendió el acceso, básicamente hay dos, uno desde una plazoleta pequeña a través de un sendero de 150 metros por un olivar, muy pintoresco algo empinado para llevar valijas pesadas, imprescindible que tengan rueditas....Al llegar el hotel es muy lindo , vale el esfuerzo , nuestro apartamento es de dos habitaciones y un baño, no tiene kitchenette, nuevas y muy bien equipadas. Tiene una terraza pequeña a un lado, con una mesa y cuatro sillas y un balcón terraza al frente que paga todo el esfuerzo para llegar. Muy linda vista sobre la marina de la lobra y el pueblo de Massa Lubrense, con los olivares a los lados. La gente que nos recibió tuvo mucha dedicación en que estuviésemos cómodos y lo lograron, el desayuno muy rico, con fiambres, panes, dulces, jugos, cafe, croisant, incluso tenían el cuidado de preparar un desayuno sin gluten para una persona celiaca. Muy silencioso de noche, el balcón era una experiencia muy grata para una copa mirando el mar y el golfo de Napoles y el Vesubio. Super recomendable con la condición de no llevar valijas muy grandes o no disponer de limitaciones físicas para subir escalones. El otro acceso es mejor , por debajo de hotel, pero angosto para un auto y requiere caminar un recorrido mayor, quizás 300 metros. Hicimos base alli para hacer excursiones a Capri, Positano, Amalfi , Pompeya y Sorrento. Ideal para descansar. Nuestro agradecimiento a las dos personas que lo manejan por su calidez y empeño en hacernos sentir comodos.
