• Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful location, terrible access - Gorgeous place, but not for everyone. 20 minute walk through shopping mall, beach and a plethora of stairs before you arrive at check in, and no major signs pointing out the way. The tents, or “nests,” are comfortable and come with great views, but you earn the views.

Sunset yoga gives amazing views(please don't forget to spray your mosquito spray before you start session:) super tasty breakfast with an awesome view, my choice was eggplant bistek and was super yummy. If you are a smoker as we are, consider to smoke before climbing 200 steps since the property is smoking-free.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The Birdhouse was our last accommodation for our 3 week vacation and also my birthday location and it was beyond amazing! It is so peaceful and beautiful, the best place to relax after lots of traveling and before heading home! The nests are big and there is everything you need! Even the smells everywhere are so delicious!! Also the owner is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome and included! If you are in Palawan please visit The Birdhouse!!
• Angela&Miranda (10/5): - The service was excellent! There were 2 bellman waiting for us because it is a long walk from the main road to the treehouses. We were welcomed with a cold drink after we survived the 150 bamboo steps🙂 The info we got was super clear en friendly. The “nest” was breathtaking! You could see the whole bay and some islands in the distance, surrounding with trees, birds and the zip line. The tent interior was in the same style as the restaurant/reception. Natural, cozy, detailed, with a wink. I loved the bamboo toothbrushes as I use them myself also, just like the tooth powder. Nice touch for the people who never tried it before. Everywhere were signings about what you can do to be more conscious and sustainable. The only thing that we liked less was that it was really moist. Probably because we were high in the trees and it was still the rainy season. Overall excellent glamping experience ✨

• Jen (8/5): - It's obvious what is unique about this property - glamping in the treetops. the view is amazing. I felt the value isn't great for what you get. Breakfast choices are limited. Making guests pay to rent beach towels is a bit stingy. The bed is comfortable but a sheet should be provided as the doona gets very hot with no air conditioning. I woke up with insect bites all over despite spraying with insect repellant and using the insect coil provided.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Es muy muy bonito y especial. Las vistas son increibles. Un oasis dentro de lo que es la zona. Es todo muy eco y medioambiental. Hasta que te das cuenta que tienen un generador encendido día y noche para tener luz, de forma que en el supuesto paraíso, en vez de escuchar el mar, escuchas un ruido continuo del generador. Bastante fuerte. Los desayunos muy cool todo pero no hay variedad. No hay agua caliente . Todo esto se podría solucionar con placas solares ya que sol no falta.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything is perfect, highly recommended for couple and small family. Beware of 2 things, the tanks are located at the hill and you have to climb up more than 100 steps each time; and there is no hot water in the bathroom. Yet, it is absolutely worthy!!
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Once one has reached the Birdhouse proper everything is fine, very nice staff, beaytiful views, amenities in line with expectations. However there was no warning on Expedia site about the 10 to15 min walk (not too bad) followed by a 140 steps bamboo staircase one has to climb to finally enjoy the place. Fortunately staffs carried our suitcases or we would never have made it. At 72, this still was quite a hard climb. The property has a very nice and good restaurant.

Sitting just off of the beach, this place has been put together with a great attention to detail by a lovely couple Camille and Mark who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The tasting menu at the restaurant is also a must if you visit.
• Brandon (10/5): - The Birdhouse is a unique experience unlike any I've seen before! We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay again next time we are in El Nido. The staff were very friendly and helpful, from coming out to greet us and carrying our bags, to checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and providing extras that we were not expecting. The total "glamping" experience that they provide is a novel idea and they really go the extra mile to make it a special experience.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - One word to describe my experience with The Birdhouse El Nido: surreal! The location was steps (a good amount but worth it) from the beach, the staff (shoutout to PJ - kabayan!!) was nothing less than top notch hospitable and helpful (from the welcome, the setting up of tours and info around the island from staff, to the includes breakfast and food), the amenities were what was expected (please don’t expect bubble baths, airconditioning, or hot water - you are in between the beach and the jungle and it can be humid in the Philippines, cool shower and a nice breeze from outside is the best), the tent is an awesome idea I love it (although a little updating would help especially because of humidity), the views from out nest was breathtaking (not to metion a big possibility of almost certainly being mesmerized by a rainbow in the morning), and the people around the property were respectful of the visitors. I definitely recommend a stay at The Birdhouse. I can’t wait to visit and stay at the property again.

The staff were so helpful and the food (including the free breakfast) was fantastic. We really liked the location too - Marimegmeg beach is really chilled out and a lot more beautiful than El Nido beach (which is still easily reachable via tricycle).

• Ronni (10/5): A unique glamping experience - We stayed 2 nights a the Birdhouse. Great place for couples. Its a very unique place and probably the best view in El Nido. Its also close to one of the best sunset site at Las Cabanas. We loved the Breakfast Bowl we got one of the days. A bit less did we like the english breakfast the other day, but its a small thing.

It is also a bit out of the way and you need to walk 15 mins to get there from the nearest taxi point. The beds are a bit hard but otherwise it’s lovely and well worth a stay if you are ok with those other things.
• Danielle (10/5): - Het is de wandeling waard! Vraag wel of ze je kunnen komen ophalen dan heb je het meteen gevonden. Strand is mooi, een stuk rustiger als het centrum en daar ben je alsnog zo met 15min tricycle als je wil. Ook een top restaurant! Zou het zo weer boeken. Het enige puntje wat je even moet weten is dat er geen warm douche water is maar net lekker weer is dat natuurlijk zo erg niet.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely fantastic place to hide from the noise and rush of El Nido. We have been spoiled by the hotel staff from the second we arrived at the airport. The hotel arranged for us a cheap pick up from the Puerto Princessa and sent a welcome comity to pick us up from the main road. We have been offered help and advice on the best way to spend our time in El Nido. Everytime we were back to the hotel we had been welcomed with a cold water and a warm smiles and offers of help/ assistance. Great, beautiful place and fantastic people x

• Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing views and luxury camping close to beach - The hotel is amazing, insane views from the tents, tents are very nice themselves, staff is nice and friendly... all the good stuff you'll read in all the other reviews is true. The only reason why I'm not giving my rating a full 5/5 was: limited breakfast offering which means if you don't like one of the items you'll be left hungry, lunch and dinner was hit or miss.

• Cali (10/5): Magical - Truly spectacular, this is a one of a kind experience. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main town and nearer the more chilled Las Cabañas and Marimegmeg beaches - this place is an absolute gem. We came for one night but ended up staying for 3! The nests are beautiful, spacious yet cosy, elegant, with the comfiest beds and of course with stunning views. The staff are incredibly helpful (thanks Angel!) Service was excellent, even when 17 of us descended on them for dinner one evening. We had something different for breakfast every morning, each day was better than the next. Great location, with the beach on your doorstep or zip-lining if you’re feeling more adventurous, but if you don’t want to venture out they have created the perfect chill out space filled with books, games and hammocks aplenty. It was great to spend time with Mark (Camille I hope we get to meet you next time!) and to hear about their plans for the future. What a spectacular place you have both created. We can’t wait to visit again.

• Robert (8/5): Very unique glamping experience - The birdhouse is an amazing creation in the hills of El Nido. Really cool space that they have created there that channels a real get away vibe. It's definitely off the beaten path, but the staff is really accommodating and will make sure you find it. It's definitely a hike up the hill to get there, but it's worth it when you arrive. The generator is also pretty loud and runs all night, I feel badly for those at the bottom of the hill that are much closer to it, but it's really the only way to get power. It's a well curated and nicely designed space that you'll be sure to appreciate once you arrive. Very unique experience.

Ved indtjekning blev vi øjeblikkeligt mødt med noget koldt at drikke og en kold klud. Der er en exceptionel udsigt både fra værelserne/teltene og fra restauranten.

They defined the true hospitality of the island, drawing a sharp contrast from their competitors in the town proper. I will definitely come back if given the chance. It was all worth it.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great view of El Nido - Our stay at The Birdhouse was a very pleasant one. The climb up may seem daunting at first. But after catching your breath for a few minutes, the view is all worth it. Since it's a glamping experience, don't expect much of the frills of a regular hotel. That includes aircondition and shower heater. The staff was pretty excellent in attending to the needs. I hope more hotels come up like you that embrace eco-tourism.
• martina (10/5): Best place in el nido - Even if the hotel is quite far from the street and you have to climb 100 stairs, once you up there you'll be surranded by magic. People over there are so cute and kind, the view is outstanding, the nests are so confortable and the food is amazing. You can lay dawn on the hammock looking the best view ever. If you have the chance to stay here few nights is definitely worth it.

• Yusuke (10/5): Glamping with great view - The place is best suited for young to middle-aged travellers who are either looking for specialty lodging (glamping) or familiar with the concept. If you don't mind a bit of a climb through bamboo stairs to reach your nest with scenic view, then you probably would enjoy your whole stay. Our stay was uneventful in a positive way.
• Marjolijn (6/5): Prachtige plek maar prijs-kwaliteit niet in verhou - Schitterend uitzicht en snachts bijna magisch. Maar overdag veel overlast van bouw op 50 meter afstand. Moeilijk te bereiken, flinke wandeling en klim vanaf de openbare weg. ondanks de afspraak dat iemand zou helpen met de tassen niemand gezien. Erg veel muggen vooral in de badkamer. de eigenaar/manager doet erg haar best je een bijzonder gevoel te geven maar het is het gewoon niet. Zeer hoge prijs gezien wat je ervoor krijgt.. geen aanrader

• Stella (8/5): 很好的景觀和經驗 - 座落相對制高點，可以一覽las cabanas beach 的風光，以及最美的日落景色，休憩區很明亮舒服，餐點食物也很不錯，服務人員也很親切，可以好好的放鬆。但是需要經過一段稍具坡度的階梯才能到達鳥巢，飯店服務人員會幫忙抬行李，所以不用太擔心，真是如果對於攀爬階梯有困難者，可能需要評估一下。
• Tally (10/5): - It was such a unique experience! The path may have been difficult and exhausting but it was totally worth it in the end. The Birdhouse' staff were nothing but extraordinary to their guests. They took care of us when we needed their help and they also assured us of our safety and that's what's really important. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are readily available to guests who decide to stay in during the day. Saturday Smores Night was good idea as the guests were able to get to know each other. I'd definitely recommend The Birdhouse to everyone.
