- Timothy (10/5): Good stay. - Had a great stay. Service was good, restaurant meals tasty, breakfast buffet a terrific spread. Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon worked well, and wifi was fine. Grounds are good for a little birding, with several common island endemics.
- Isis Natalia (6/5): - Pros: Room is very spacious and clean. Common areas also nice and generally I enjoyed a quiet atmosphere. Staff is nice, food is good. Cons: They did not honor the complementary airport transfer that is announced on line, they arranged a private taxi that charged me 20 US Dollars (for a 4 minute ride). The quality of bed linens and towels is not great, they should improve them. The one day I used the pool, which is big and pretty, the water was not clean.

- Alexandre (10/5): L’hôtel de bon standing, son restaurant àDécouvrir - Chambres vastes avec plafond haut, d’un bon standing, mobilier colonial sombre mais plaisant, la chambre restait fraîche même sans clim ( saison sèche toutefois donc à voir en saison chaude). Personnel très avenant et parlant plusieurs langues. C’est un hôtel vaste avec de nombreux bâtiments sur un parc en retrait de la route et avec une magnifique piscine presque de format olympique. Calme aussi avec une bonne insonorisation des chambres. Le lit avait un soutien ferme et de très bonne qualité. L’emplacement n’est pas mal juste à 2 mn de l’aéroport et en face d’une belle plage de sable. Le pressing un peu cher peut être mais soigné donc rien à redire. Le restaurant est désert mais j’y ai mangé mieux que partout ailleurs dans l’île ( mieux qu’à PapaFigo la référence locale qui a été ma cantine sinon pendant longtemps) : carpaccio de poisson local délicieux et ceviche de crevette parfait au restaurant du Praia. Le chef est un des meilleurs de l’île je devine mais les prix un peu hauts et le service indolent ( très gentils comme partout dans l’île ils en oublient pourtant de demander quelle boisson on souhaite) dissuade la clientèle : dommage. Et aussi aucun problème de digestion ensuite donc hygiène impeccable. Les petits déjeuners étaient très bien et assez variés : aubergines frites excellentes et jus de papaye frais ou d’ananas frais. Des sculptures en bois locales et des peintures plaisantes ( en tout cas celle de ma chambre voir photo) Donc une très bonne adresse.
- Grant (8/5): São Tomé stopover - The hotel was a great spot to go to after a late arrival, just minutes from the airport and the driver waited for us right at the entrance. The breakfast was great with respect to the amazing fresh fruit. Hot dishes were sparse, but the coffee and great bread made up for it

Ils font tout pour vous plaire surtout L’exceptionnelle Andrea qui travaille à la réception et qui a organisé mes excursions à l’avance. Ne pas manquer de faire un massage avec Aldina, l’unique est excellente masseuse à l’hôtel. Tout le monde est gentil. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Beaucoup de variétés et de choix. La nourriture au bar et au restaurant est excellente. Une chose est certaine, vous ne tomberez jamais malade. Je recommande cette hôtel sana hésitation. Il est à 5 minutes à pieds de l’aéroport avec une plage en face.
- Paola (8/5): Quiet with big swimming pool but far from the city - I spent one month in Sao Tome e Principe and stayed several times in Praia Accomodation, which is part of Hotel Praia (thanks for storing my luggage for free!). I liked this place as it is quiet and has a big swimming pool (salty water) and a great breakfast (big buffet). WI-Fi is not always working. It is a bit far from the city (ca. 3km) but you can take a mototaxi for 20 Dobras. Some staff is very nice, like Mr Edger who answered all my questions about carnival, Thanks! Unfortunately I had a very bad experience when checking in and out my last time with Mr Wander: he was very rude and insisted I had to pay right away (but I had already payed by credit card), then he gave me the key for a bungalow which I didn’t book and didn’t want, saying I HAD to stay there as there was no other free room (it was really far, I had to walk all the way there and back with the heavy luggage and was offered no help, my suitcase broke because of the pebble stones!). As I refused to sleep there and said I would search another hotel, a colleague finally managed to find a better room for me! It took over one hour to solve the problem, so I missed my dinner at CACAU at 19:30pm and was really angry. The following day Mr Edger apologized and offered me a free late check-out. Unfortunately when checking-out Mr Wander was at the reception again, he wanted me to check-out earlier and said nasty things to me! Me, my driver and the other guests were shocked from this treatment, not sure I'll return!
- Dimitrinka (6/5): Praktiska detaljer - Bara euro kontanter. Visa/Master funkar ej. Inte ens ta ut från bank. Växla till lokalt- på gatan eller som växel på affär. Växla på bank-stor avgift. Euro kan tas ut enklast via western union, om online- tjänst funkar. Betalalsen helst innan resan, via nätet. Unitel simkort finns köpa i receptionen. Annars wi-fi om du är nära reception/ restaurang. Mat och myggskydd funkar bra. Kolla att"stör ej" skyllt finns. Annars blir ni utkörda från rummet tidigt, för städning. Även vid online check-in, för tillbaka-resan- var på flyget minst 3 timmar innan. Andra rutiner. Malaria/koleravaccinen behövs egentligen inte. Däremot gula febern-kortet. El- och uttag samma som i Sverige.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very nice hotel and good location! - The receptionist / manager Madam Andrea is super helpful to arrange /negotiate tuk tuk tours for me. She seems to be the only person who speaks fluent English. Breakfast buffet has good variety. I stayed in the budget room where wifi was poor. The pool is huge and great for swimming laps! Free airport transfer provided.

- Elias (8/5): Nice place but fix the internet connection problem - Hotel Praia is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. I apreciated the room upgrade and the pick up from the airport. I would go back there if only they can sort out their Wi-Fi. It was quite bad during my stay. It was difficult to receive stable connection while in the room

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Necessary to make an allowance of up to half an hour for the check out process; just writing a receipt for the hotel bill which was already paid previously took a straight 15 minutes with endless calculations on the calculator, just to come up with the cost already paid the day before. Quaint, but takes time....as does the airport check-in process which is even more arduous but that has nothing to do with the hotel, but allow at least and hour to go through the airport check-in process, and that was arriving two and half hours before departure

- Tom (8/5): Altehrwürdiges Refugium der Ruhe - Sehr ruhig gelegenes & sauberes Hotel, eingerahmt in einem herrlich gepflegten Garten. Der größte Pool auf Saõ Tomé, ein GYM & Massage-Angebote komplettieren einen alles in allem sehr angenehmen Ort. Die Zimmer sind sehr spartanisch ausstaffiert & die Bäder darüber hinaus sehr veraltet & unästhetisch. Das Restaurant verfügt über eine gute Küche & leckeren Weinen, aber auch hier eher in einfacher Vielfalt.
