- Tóth-Ésik (10/5): -
- Garzi (4/5): - Camera e bagno Le troppe scale.
- Roberta (10/5): -
- Fernanda (6/5): - Tem muitas escadas!
- Andrey (10/5): One of our best stays in Italy - Well designed, comfortable and conveniently located property with a lovely host. Super clean too. We really enjoyed sitting at the terrace with a great mountain and town view. Loved everything.
Ville bodd her igjen!

- Michael (7/5): Over, easy check in, nice staff, and no complaints about the apartment. - Clean, small balcony, nice AC in the bedroom. It was definitely a lot of stairs to climb after a full day of exploring. I think the apartment is on the 5th floor. Plus a long row of steps from the street to the building. Luckily, there was a rear entrance we used to park our vespa and saved us two flights of stairs each day.
- Katarzyna (5/5): Disappointed - It was clean Poor communication about how to check in, photos were picked of the other best looking room with some retouch - they really don’t give the same vibe as the photos. It looks like a house has been converted into 4 separate rooms and corridor is dividing one from another. It wasn’t too bad overall bur it wasn’t what we saw online.
- Maria Belen (8/5): - the room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated, and confortable
- Narina (10/5): - Refer to previous review Nothing
- Taleah (9/5): - The property was amazing very comfortable and clean. However, it was hard lugging our suitcases up 6 flights of stairs with no elevator and it was confusing trying to find the actual building. Communication was great! Reply’s were instant and very kind host.
- Lea-Sophie (10/5): - 👍
- Eleonora (9/5): -
- Narina (10/5): Exceptional - Very tasteful recent renovation, very efficient Air Conditioning was appreciated and the location close to everything one needed. All good thanks
- Olivier (10/5): Amazing if you want to visit Cinque Terre, a great apartment close to the train station - The apartment itself, especially the terrace, and the room service which we weren’t expecting The fact that it’s located on the fourth floor of an apartment building without an escalator, but this is a minor point since we were made aware of this before booking
- kevin (10/5): - Great location. Clean & spacious
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Sabrina (10/5): - Great location, clean room and very easier service by what’s app. The hotel responded quickly to her messages. I recommend this place. The blue room was quite small but if your using the hotel just to sleep it’s ok.
- Martin (10/5): Beautiful view and roomy place - Overall a very nice place to stay in La Spezia, very close to the train station and a square with restaurants and stores. The apartment had all necessary utensils and such and we felt like we had plenty of room.
The apartment is located four stories up without an elevator, so bear that in mind, as well as some stairs up to the apartment complex.
Rooms where fresh and modern, with an amazing view from the balcony over the surrounding mountains.
- meddah (10/5): - Bonjour,
- Cihat Murat (8/5): Old apartment with new decoration - Otel değil, eski bir apartman dairesinin çatı katını restore edip pazarlıyorlar
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, close to train station and city centre. Daily room cleaning was good.
- Frank (9/5): Most Enjoyable Stay - The room was large and spacious and newly renovated with quality furnishings and finishes with a wonderfully comfortable Kingsize bed. The bath room being newly renovated was quality. The apartment is quite secure. We had difficulty in finding the place (our fault) and the host was extremely helpful in meeting us and personally walking us to Affittacamere Bellavista and even carrying one of our bags. The location is very good, being approx. 800m from the railway station and approx. 400m to the main dining and shopping precincts of La Spezia. We would definitely stay at Affittacamere Bellavista again. The only drawbacks, but by no means a deal breaker, was that the fridge did not work well, the safe is not fixed to the wall and the accommodation is on the top fourth floor with no building lift. The quality of the accommodation far outweighed these three items, and the friendliness of our host was most welcoming.
- Poopak (9/5): Very clean, comfortable, nice decoration. Great location near to station, nice restaurant and walking distance to shops - Very clean and very comfortable
Nice decoration
Nice view to the mountain
Grear location near to station, nice restaurant and walking distance to shops If you travel with heavy suitcase, there is no life and had to carry it to 6th floor.
There was no light in the corridor and it was too dark at night walking to the room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very disappointed, the woman that on the phone whom I talked was very rude, not polite, not helpful. The location wasn’t safe. It was very scary. There is no light, we used our phone flashlights to see the around. Check-in wasn’t easy. The lady told us to ring the bell and the door would be opened by her but she tried many times but she couldn’t. It is impossible to find a parking place around the area. You climb the stairs to get to the building and once you reach the building there is no elevator. You must take your luggages by yourself to the apartment too. And also in the apartments, there are more stairs which are very dangerous, there is no balustrade. If you need to use the bathroom at night, you must be very careful since the bedroom and bathroom are in different floors. You must use those stairs to go to the bathroom. And since the apartment is at the roof it was very hot during the day and the night even the AC is on like non-stop. You can not sleep since you can not breath inside. Overall, the building is horrible and very dirty when you get inside you want to get out of the building. The apartment is renovated and seems clean. Even though there are hairs in the bed and the coffee and biscuits that they serve in the room are old!!
- Kahlia (9/5): Spacious and clean - The property was exceptionally clean and very spacious. The bathroom facilities were fantastic. Located very close to the train station and a short walk to the town centre and marina promenade. There are lots of stairs to get to the apartment (> 5 flights) so do keep that in mind in you have lots of luggage. Only negative was that the refrigerator didn’t work properly which was a bummer as we had bought a few things for breakfast that spoiled.
- Jenny (10/5): Up Where the Birds Fly🥰 - Loved everything about our apartment, especially the verandah. It is in a slightly rundown looking area but only one street over from the main restaurant, shopping street, so in the ideal position. Only about a five minute walk to the train station and about 15 to the ferry. I know people have mentioned, complained, about the stairs… but … it is the Cinque Terra, and coming here means you need to climb if you want views and experiences. Be prepared and have fun with it, being up as high as we were meant we went to sleep to swallows song not bar noises and were woken by seagulls not traffic😊. Liked it all… mind you my husband did carry up the suitcases 😉
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Room 3 has a verandah, which makes it etraordinary.
Room 1 is just a Room, by comparison. We were lucky enough to have the host let us change to Room 3 after the first 2 days, for a reasonable extra payment.
Spectacular. Having to leave
- Isabel (10/5): - Ok
- Luminita (9/5): Superb -
- Aayush (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yann (10/5): Excellent with good memories - Eveything's perfect. View from the balcony, proxmity of city center, proximity of the station to visit Cinque Terre nothing
- Anonymous (9/5): Excellente - Impeccable Beaucoup d escaliers
- Elfriede (6/5): - Close to lots of restaurants & plaza, train station
Finding the actual location of the facility was an issue. A sign outside would help. And then the stairs!!!! 88 stairs plus more up the hill to the building!! At our age of 70 it was difficult to carry the luggage all the way up!
- eduard (6/5): - Nice suite and also very clean! very good location for visiting cinque terre, close to the train station, there is also a Parking Garage close by and not to expensive
BUT, there are hundreds of stair steps and no elevator,
you have to walk with your luggage from the Garage (15 minutes)
- Mariam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isabelle (8/5): - 😊😊😊
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Liked the cleanliness and modernness. Still weren't prepared for the amount of steps, and also how run down the rest of the apartment complex was.
The air conditioning didn't seem to work to 100% effectiveness. The area outside the room that leads to the other units could be very noisy, and heard very easily from inside our unit.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, lovely clean rooms, comfy beds and great for access to cinque terre via train. La spezia was a nice base too!! Only minor was there are a few stairs, but great to add to the step count :) little noisy from next door flat but only minor
- Sebastian (8/5): - Frisch renovierte Wohnung.
- Khondker (9/5): Superb -
- Roger (7/5): Enjoyed the stay very much but not carrying heavy cases up so many steps. Location very convenient for bars, restaurants - Location and facilities. Very responsive host, fixed AC late on Saturday night. There are almost 150 steps from the road to the apartment with no elevator.
- Morty (9/5): Stay at la Spezia - We loved the view, shower and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful in giving us local dining tips and we loved the daily room service clean. The location is fantastic, it's a short walk to the train station and lively areas with a lot of cafes, bars and restaurants whilst still being very quiet in our room. The hair dryer was not very powerful and would over heat quickly, which wasn't a big problem for us, bring your own if you need a good one. As others have mentioned there's quite a lot of stairs you must climb to reach the apartment, which wasn't a big problem for us as we did not have big suitcases.
- Evan (10/5): Great Hotel! - The hotel is hard to find, especially at night, and has way too many stairs to climb and no elevator but the rooms are really nice! They all look recently renovated and are very clean and the beds are so comfortable! It’s also a great location and is only a 5 minute walk from La Spezia station. I would definitely recommend staying here!
- Driscoll (3/5): Extremely disappointing and would never recommend it to anyone under any circumstances. - Great location handy to train station and restaurants.
Modern and clean facilities.
Nice cleaner who could speak English. Initially it was difficult for the taxi to find the venue but he got us a close as he could! This should have been our first warning as to access the building we had to climb with our luggage up a series of about 35 steps.
Unfortunately, Bellavista was a group of renovated rooms at the top of a building and not a hotel as we expected! To access our room, we had to climb up five stories with double flights of stairs for each floor. THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR! As we are both over 70 years of age carrying suitcases and accessing our room every day after each outside excursion, proved to be extremely difficult No where when we were booking was the inaccessibility mentioned! The lady who met us should have realised how difficult our stay would be She should have offered us an alternative! Unfortunately, as we had already paid in full we were not in a position to find alternative accommodation on our own. In fact we think she was mildly amused at our predicament! Even the other, much younger tenants we met were also unhappy about the accessibility.
The key to access the back road entrance didn't work. This would have saved us one floor of stairs.
It was also falsely named Bellavista What a joke as the vista that we could see was the
the nearby flats with overgrown wastelands! Nothing bella about it!
No blind on the bedroom window making it bright both during the night and in the
morning
Fridge was not cold enough or of a suitable size to store any food and we had to throw out milk.
SHAME ON YOU BOOKING.COM
for even supporting such an accommodation.
- Dimitri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (7/5): Nice location and apartment but accessibility not so good (5th floor, no elevator no car access) - Location, the bed and shower The apartment was on the 5th floor with no elevator and the small street couldn't be accessed by car. We are young/fit but I would definitely not recommend this for older people.
- Martin (10/5): - Real nice appartment close to La Spezia station. But be aware: 5th floor place with no elevator. The host was really kind and gave us several restaurant options
- Ruth (2/5): - Please please please be wary of staying here!!! Very complicated check in procedures that you do not know until after booking. I actually did not even get to stay in this place, because the key they left me broke into two pieces as I tried to open the door. I have unlocked a million doors in my life and never had a key break on me. I was given no empathy or help during my situation. Owner did not honor anything or offer a single cent, only offered the next night to stay, but I was passing through on my way to a meeting in Florence and just needed a nice night's rest. Owner is very un-empathetic. Apparently, accommodating for a late check in makes me undeserving of a refund. I don't even understand what accommodations they made because all they did was leave a key in a lockbox at a different location not even at my hotel. Myself and Expedia called to ask for a refund since I did not even step foot in the room. The owner will not return emails or answer anyone's calls. I did not even step foot into the hotel room, so they did not have to clean or pay for anything, yet they still will not refund even a cent. Please be very very careful about staying here, because if anything goes wrong you will not be treated respectfully! I was really excited about my stay, I wish it would have worked out. But just a note to anyone else staying this is not like a hotel with a reception this is more of an air bnb type situation.
- Meiling (10/5): Very good location and clean room! - Good location, easy and accessible to train station or center area. The room is very clean, spacious and well maintained! The host helped a lot! No elevator, would recommend to come with small luggage or backpack.
- Michał (10/5): Exceptional - A very nice, clean apartment. Great terrace. Decent bathroom.
It's on the 4-5th floor so you need to like climbing;)
- Laura (10/5): Great place ! - beautiful room! everything modern and clean, and also excellent location and easy check in. lots of stairs .. for us was fine because we had backpacks but I can’t imagine someone carrying a huge suitcase !
- Venla (7/5): Nice room and friendly staff - Nice and clean room with a supeisingly good shower The stairs to the rooms were a lot in the hot summer weather and the location was a little hard to find
- yan (8/5): - The place is really nice and clean, we checked in early and couldn’t find the place , the owner sent someone to help us find the place. The owner only speaks Italian, it’s on the fifth floor and no elevator.
- Ginna (8/5): spacious and clean room near the train station. - nice and spacious room. Near to the train station. it was difficult to find and some people outside at the back street was noisy but it’s not fault of the Affittacamere.
would be great to have hair conditioner.
- Rita (9/5): overall a good experience. would recommend unless you have mobility issues - location very good. 10 minutes walking from la spezia station. room is like an hotel room. the bed is comfortable and the pressure of the shower is great. it has a small fridge and kettle with nescafe, sugar and biscuits. the view from the window is nice. the only bad was the stairs to get to the bedroom. it was a total of 88 stairs (you need to climb a few more to get to the building). there is no elevator.
- Sieta (10/5): Lovely appartment - Really nice and cosy appartment! Great shower, nice bed, kitchen with everything you need, extra room to put you suitcases and clothing, and big balcony to sit outsite. The location is really convenient; close to the center of La Spezia and close to the train station. We would really recommend this place! Not suitable for people who have problems with walking stairs; there are stairs to the building, the appartment is on the 3e floor (no elevator), and there is a tiny stair in the appartment. We had no problem with it at all :)
- Lina (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and modern, great view, broken fridge - We loved our stay here, La Spezia is a great place to stay if you plan to visit Cinque Terre and would like to be based somewhere a bit quieter with generally less expensive food & drinks in the town. Bellavista was clean and modern, note that there are 10 flights of stairs to reach the rooms from street level. The fridge in our room wouldn’t go cold which resulted in a lot of the perishable food we bought going to waste which was unfortunate. I would stay again though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - LOTS of stairs (over 80 steps to get to the 4th floor) ; I should have read the prior reviews. We were fortunate since we only had 1 small piece of luggage and the host was kind enough to carry it up. Parking is horrible - we read reviews not to park at the train station so it took us over 1 hour to find a spot. The room was small but clean. There are restaurants nearby.
- Alan (10/5): Mini Suite with a nice view and close the action. - Mini Suite with a nice view and close to the main business section of the city, No lift and on the 5th floor so this is not for the weak. But if you are up for the climb the view from the terrace is worth it, especially with a bottle of local wine.
- Jessica (4/5): - Our stay at Affittacamere Bellavista was not what we expected. After reading reviews we were aware that the hotel was located on a hill and that there was about 40 steps outside, however we had no idea that there was an addition 60 stairs once arrived at the residence. In addition, our air conditioning did not work (which was terrible for our stay in August) and when we messaged the Hotel for help the next day we received a rude voice message that was inappropriate.
On the positive side, the hotel was clean, and just steps away from the Train station making it easy to get to Cinque Terre in the morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We looked for a place to stay that was close to the train station and Bella Vista is certainly that. Very small but clean and does have a view out over the mountains and town. A very steep 5 floor walkup with luggage could have been a challenge but our hostess picked up our big bags and ran them right up to our room which was very helpful. This, after she walked to the train station to show us the way in. There is a great shower in the room and a very comfortable bed. Just a block away from the main shopping streets and promenade to the Cathedral area. Good coffee cafes within a few minutes walk as well.
- Kristin (10/5): Very nice, would recommend - This room was really nice. Newly updated with modern furnishings and very high end finishes. There were of course 5 flights of stairs, but anywhere in this region will pretty much have stairs. We stayed in the blue room and had a beautiful view. My only recommendation would be to add a mirror outside the bathroom (either over the desk or a full length on next to door). We would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): This is NOT a traditional hotel. - This property is a converted apartment. They have three 'hotel' rooms and the one we booked was very, very nice...if you want to climb 10 flights of stairs to your bed. The room is on the 5th floor and to get to the entrance of the building, you have to climb four flights of stairs from the street. Once in the door to the unit, it's another flight up to the bedroom. There is no elevator. We ended up booking another hotel, as we were not about to hoof our luggage up all those stairs - we were on vacation. To be fair, the beautiful woman who checked us in was very willing to help with the luggage...
Bottom line - amazing unit, ridiculous amount of stairs.
