• Timo (3/5): Like it is right now - NO! - + gender separated rooms (big plus) + location in the very heart of Lagos + friendly female staff I am a frequent visitor to this place (once a year) and I must really say this was the first time I was really disappointed! —-> Biggest downturn was the temperature situation of the water. There was literally NO HOT WATER! It’s ridiculous to take a shower or to shave with cold water! Only one evening there was slightly warm (but not hot) water to shower. I talked to the owner on the phone who then assured me he would take care of it. Obviously he didn’t! I also talked to a few other guests that confirmed the issue with the lack of warm water and they were upset as well! Absolutely unacceptable and the reason for this comment! Apart from that the owner lacks the ability to simply take care of the premises. All in all a run down house with no eye on the beautiful potential it has! E.g. the rooftop terrace could be THE selling point but instead it’s used as a dumpsite for old furniture. The pictures on booking do not represent this place anymore at all (very unfortunately). I took a few for comparison! In the state this hostel is right now it’s absolutely not worth the price you pay! +++ Antonio PLEASE do better as I would very happily come back next year!!!
• Anterpal (1/5): Not relaxing at all - Location No hot water. Had to take ice cold showers. No blanket and had to sleep in cold with a thin bed sheet. The room door was facing the kitchen door and people were talking loud till 1am, making it impossible to sleep. The kitchen should be closed after certain time or don’t place guests in that room.

• Lea (4/5): Gut, wenn man keine hohen Anforderungen hat🙃 - Der Mann der das ganze betreut war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Hostel lag sehr zentral! Der Preis war okay. Die Tür zu meinem Zimmer konnte man weder abschliessen noch zumachen, der Türknopf ist fast abgefallen. Ich musste 1 Stunde vor der Tür warten, weil sich der Herr verspätet hat, für das Check-In. Die Küche hat wirklich nicht gut ausgesehen, als wäre sie 1800 erbaut worden.. Heisswasser gab es keines. Und als Decke musste eine abgeranzte Kuscheldecke reichen. (Schlafsack mitnehmen ist empfehlenswert)🙂

• Sunshine (2/5): - I had a late check in after midnight and asked 12 hours before over phone and booking.com and what's app about the CODE to enter the hostel. The answer was "no problem just call". If you arrive at 2.30 am you want to be 100% sure that can access your accommodation! Well to make it short: I ended up booking a second accommodation and didn't sleep there. Bad communication and paid 26 € for nothing.

• Loris (1/5): Un'ostello da dimenticare! - C'è un lounge in cui ho trascorso molte ore in completo relax navigando in internet senza quasi mai essere stato disturbato Sono arrivato all'ostello all'orario del check-in e sono stato fortunato perché un'altra ospite stava entrando nell'ostello in quel momento ed ho trovato la porta aperta. Non c'era nessuno a fare il check-in. Sono uscito dall'ostello ed è stato un problema rientrare perché non avevo la chiave del portone principale. Ho dovuto telefonare al proprietario che ha mandato una signora ad aprirmi. La signora ha parlato al telefono con il proprietario e mi è stato assegnato il letto 2 nella camera 10. Questo letto è un letto a castello e non uno singolo come avevo prenotato attraverso l'app Booking. La signora NON mi ha consegnato le chiavi per entrare ed uscire dall'ostello e neanche quelle dell'armadietto. Avevo lasciato una bottiglia d'acqua sul letto nascosta sotto la coperta e sono uscito dalla camera. Sono tornato dopo diverse ore ed ho scoperto che uno degli ospiti di quella camera aveva preso la mia bottiglia d'acqua e ne aveva bevuta un pò! Ho lasciato a questo ospite la bottiglia d'acqua e gli ho chiesto di comprarne una nuova per me e lo ha fatto il giorno dopo solo quando gli ho fatto notare che non lo aveva ancora fatto e mi sono mostrato irritato per questo suo comportamento irrispettoso. Ho fatto il check-in la mattina del giorno dopo e soltanto in quel momento ho avuto le chiavi. Ho fatto notare al proprietario che il letto che avevo avuto non era quello che avevo prenotato e lui mi ha detto che non ha dei dormitori con letti singoli! Gradirei essere rimborsato! L'ostello è molto fatiscente. Quando ero a letto, ho sbattuto varie volte la testa contro il letto che era sopra al mio e i materassi sono scomodi. Ci sono delle scale interne all'ostello che sono veramente strette e pericolose! Il locale docce non rispetta la privacy degli ospiti. Quando esci dalla doccia ti trovi in un locale dove chi fà la doccia insieme a te può vederti nudo!

• Barr (1/5): BED BUGS BED BUGS - Amazing location at an affordable price. BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE. Woke covered in bugs all over my bed and dormitory. The owner then moved me from a bed bug infested room to another bed bug infested room. The staff continued to allow bookings and put people in rooms they KNOW are infested with bugs. They refused to refund me after I woke up covered in bugs. It was an absolute nightmare experience. I have bites all over my body head to toe. I’ve never left a poor review on a hostel and I’ve stayed in over 60 budget hostels. I feel bad for the owner who is just trying to make an honest living, but knowingly putting people in infested beds is unprofessional and unethical. To all my fellow travelers, do yourself a favor and spend 5 more euros to stay somewhere cleaner.
• ariel fernando (3/5): RECOMENDABLE SOLO POR ESTAR EN OLD TOWN - Lo unico bueno que tiene este alojamiento es que esta en pleno casco viejo,mismo centro y que tiene cocina y puedes hacer uso... a mi personalmente no me gustó en la habitacion que me dieron,un sotano que parecia un zulo, muy incomodo de entrar y salir,eso si habia una nevera grande para guardar comida si fuera el caso...pagué 83 euros por 3 noches ...carisimo para ser un hostel y mas con dicha habitacion...

It wasn't clean, especially the bathrooms (there was a permanent poop stain on the toilet seat among other things), the beds were extremely uncomfortable, it was very loud, it smelled stuffy everywhere and the pictures online didn't represent the hostel properly. I had booked three nights but left after the first night, even without getting a refund. Suntrap feels like the right name because trapped is exactly how I felt. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

• Snehiddy Karina (2/5): Not sleep hostel - Nada Un edificio muy viejo, chirria todo, no está limpio, sin ventilador, debes dormir con la ventana abierta para no morir de calor pero no duermes por causa de la fiesta en la calle. Lo peor fue el dueño que no me quería dejar guardar mis mochilas porque daba prioridad a los nuevos huéspedes, después ví como dejo a dos chicas sin decir nada y a otras de mi habitación no les dejo directamente. Fatal!! Prefiero acampar o dormir en la playa…

• Renata Mariana (4/5): Decepcionante - Só a localização mesmo. Fui colocada em um quarto que ficava tipo num porão, sem janela ou ar condicionado, somente com um ventilador pequeno. O quarto estava cheio e com isso ficava quente. A sensação era bem esquisita. Dois dias depois ainda fiquei sabendo que teve um problema com pulgas no local e fiquei bem preocupada porque poderia ter infestado todas as minhas coisas.
• magdalena (1/5): Schrecklichstes Hostel jemals - Das einzig Gute wäre vielleicht die nahe Lage zum Strand, aber dafür war man mitten im Stadtzentrum und es wurde sehr laut Es war sehr sehr runtergekommen, sehr unsauber, wir haben uns garnicht wohlgefühlt weder im Bad noch in der Küche. Wollten eigentlich immer kochen, aber dort wollten wir so fern wie möglich bleiben von der Küche. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich, durften nicht mal under Gepäck zur Aufbewahrung da lassen und allgemein auch nie gegrüßt. Das Bett ist schrecklich, die Matratze ist 5 cm hoch und man kann sich nicht mal drehen, weil sonst alles wehtut

Pokoje czyste, każdy ma do dyspozycji szafkę zamykana na klucz. Szybki internet w hostelu Za ręcznik trzeba dopłacić 3 euro. Nie ma firanek/zasłon przy łóżkach przez co nie ma prywatności, ale i tak było ok
• Catherina (1/5): Irresponsabilidad del dueño - Las habitaciones están todas llenas de chinches. Con mi amiga habíamos pagado 7 noches y nos quedamos 5. Al principio cambian a la gente de habitación, dicen que desinfectan los colchones que tienen los bichos y después vuelven a ocupar esos lugares. A mi amiga y a mi nos reembolsaron todo el dinero porque a ella le picaron las chinches, pero al resto de la gente no (o sea, si el dueño no ve que te picaron, no te devuelve la plata; así tal cual le dijo a otro grupo de chicas que se fueron a quejar el mismo día que nosotras). El dueño del hostel no quiere hacerse cargo, mucha gente se queja (hay opiniones iguales a esta de hace un año ya) y todo sigue igual. En cuanto al resto de las instalaciones, la cocina y el baño también están un poco sucias, nunca se ve gente de limpieza. La verdad, lo único que tiene de bueno el hostel es la ubicación (bien ubicado en el centro) y la terraza como espacio común, que te permite conocer gente (es un hostel muy sociable). Por lo demás, si es por las instalaciones y por la atención del dueño, deberían haberlo cerrado hace ya tiempo.
• Lola (5/5): Epidemia de chinches - Tenía mucha posibilidad de hacer sociales, la terraza estaba muy buena. Tuvimos una epidemia de chinches (bedbugs), a mi me picaron bastante. Nos devolvieron la plata de toda la estadía porque yo tenía muchas picaduras, pero a la gente que no tenía picaduras no les querían devolver la plata. Tuvimos que irnos 2 días antes de la finalización oficial de nuestra estadía por este problema.

• Delys (6/5): Esperava um pouco mais - A localização é perfeita, bem no centro da cidade, próximo a tudo. Rua bem agitada e com muitas opções para comer, beber e se divertir. Quarto com locker disponível e eles disponibilizam as chaves da porta de entrada do hostel, do quarto e do locker no check-in. O check-out é facilitado, pois é apenas deixar a chave na recepção caso não tenha ninguém por lá. A única funcionária do local (que eu tenha visto, no caso) não fala português e não mostrou todas as intalações disponíveis. Eu não sabia onde ficava o banheiro, por exemplo e não soube como acessar a parte externa. Os banheiros disponíveis tem tamanho limitado (apenas 3 boxes com duche e 2 cabines com sanitário), o quarto não tem ventilador ou ar condicionado e a cama é péssima (colchão nada confortável). Não sei nem se tem copa ou cozinha, não vi disponível em nenhum dos pisos.

Résultat : piqûres multiples, soins achetés en pharmacie, lavage et séchage de tous mes vêtements à haute température en laverie automatique, et deux demi-journées de vacances gâchées. J’ai demandé à changer de lit, mais le soir même quelqu’un d’autre dormait déjà dans mon ancien lit infesté, sans aucune mesure d’hygiène. J’ai contacté le propriétaire via WhatsApp pour un dédommagement : aucune réponse. La personne à l’accueil m’a dit qu’elle ne pouvait rien faire. Aucun suivi, aucun geste, aucune responsabilité face à un problème d’hygiène grave.

What was awful was that I got a bed in a female room that didn't look at all how I expected, or like the pictures. It is basically in a kind of basement and it has no window, no light obviously and poor ventilation. It was really disappointing as I was actually excited about this place, it is a shame, and to be honest I would have never chosen this hostel if I had seen this room. However, luckily you do not spend almost any time in the room when you are traveling.

• Hazal (7/5): it is nice to stay in girls room - I stayed in a big room with 8 girls beds dormitory. It was nice room with big windows . But the other room don’t have window that looks airless. After checking out of the hostel, people ask to leave their bags which is normal. They don't allow it. They need to find a way to do this. After all, checkout is very early, and of course, people want to spend that day around the city. They mentioned 1 km far away lockers. Hostel should have this service or a luggage place. • Bianca (9/5): - Localização ótima, banheiros grandes e boas camas Nada a dizer
• Catalina (6/5): Moderno pero le faltan detalles - El edificio es bonito. Tiene servicio de bar. La habitación no estaba mal. El personal amable No cumplieron con el horario de check in que era a las 15 hs. Tuve que esperar más tiempo aún porque no estaba lista la habitación. Un poco alejado pero se puede ir a pie al centro en 25 min andando
• Marilia (1/5): Local péssimo. - De nada, Tudo horrível, sujo e péssimo. Não gostei da cama, Da estação em geral Tudo velho e sujo Muito desconfortável

• Marta (7/5): - We had an amazing stay, the location is perfect. Close to everything. The staff is very kind and helpful. Everything is clean.
• Olalla Pérez-Estrada (10/5): - super friendly people and right in the city center, so much to do around.
