Guest Reviews
- Eric Fernando (6/5): - Our breakfast was not buffet which it should be.
- Cecilia (6/5): - The amazing Customerservice, courtesy, lightness, and just simply very welcoming.
- PAULO (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Deborah (6/5): - Walking distance to Coron port, which is great for taking an early ferry. Our room was clean and well appointed. However, the bed was so rock hard that we are convinced it was a box spring and not actually a mattress. It was painful to lie on and we had very little, very poor sleep. The hotel put on a very good buffet breakfast. One gentleman who waits on diners was attentive and friendly. Other staff at the hotel were indifferent.
- Philip (4/5): - Poor
- Cliff (10/5): - The property offers a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning. It offers a ton of options with eggs and omelets made to order
- Angel (6/5): - bed are absolutely terrible is like sleeping on a box spring! you're better of sleeping ing the floor i asked the hotel staff if they can change the mattress and they said no. and the. i asked if i can pay for a better room and said the bed are the same in every room. "beautiful hotel overall is a same about the bed the most important thing"
- BRENDA E. (8/5): - Make sure you get the room you book. The room with the balcony was nice. The rooms it self was nice even had a fan in the room for extra cooling.staff was friendly.
- Nancy (8/5): - This hotel is one of the best in the area. However, as one of the best hotel in Coron, Palawan, they should provide a convenient way to get the area tours provided by the 3rd party for an option to use credit cards as form of payment instead of using cash for safety and convenience to every travellers around the world.
- Shayan (10/5): Great staff! - Really friendly staff that helps you with whatever you need. Great place to stay.
Limana yakin. Personel ilgili. Çevrede yapacak fazla bir şey yok.
Flipinlerin genel otellerinde olduğu gibi. Kahvaltı çeşidi çok az
- Cathrine (6/5): Helt ok, men veldig harde senger - Helt ok hotell, men gammeldags.
Bra frukost trevlig personal.
- Yvan (10/5): - Great location nearby the ferry, great staff, and dining experiences by a magnificient pool. Great massage. Food was diverse and delicious! We will be back!
- Adrain (8/5): - I didnt like the mattress i thought it was to hard on my back
- Michael (8/5): - The hotel are nice and clean and the staffs are friendly.
- David (8/5): - Good hotel
Great location to port & mainstreet
Pool needs attention
- ROMEO (10/5): - Very good
- Victoria (10/5): - I like the place but the only thing that I didn’t like is not being able to walk outside the hotel and get to the shops and local restaurants right away. You have to hire a tricycle driver to take you around to the main area. I love Coron & the people!
- Matthew (8/5): - Wifi was no good!!! We had to stay in the restaurant after breakfast to get up to date… Outside of that, was perfect
- Kyle (8/5): Mostly good, with some dumb exceptions - The hotel itself was decent
Beds are very hard, essentially a box spring with a very light pillow top
Food is good, not much variety of you don't have Asian taste though
They only have one Point of sale unit, so if it fails they have no back up and no idea how to handle that sort of situation
It failed during our checkout, we were out of cash, had to leave for our flight and they wanted us to go to an ATM somewhere in town and get cash out
Or give them a bank transfer, (international) which wasn't happening on short notice even if we had plenty of time
Wound up sending to a random PayPal account which was very unprofessional
A company like this which owns multiple hotels and I believe an airline as well should have at bare minimum a back up way to pay without having to resort to things like this.
- paul (10/5): - My Daughter and my wife stayed at the hotel and had a great time at the pool, enjoyed the food, and ventured out to see the sites in town. I am sure they will visit again.
- Haydn (8/5): - Great service and well maintained hotel. Only issue we had was poor WiFi / internet.
- jack (6/5): - The room had a strong musty smell to it, was very small and hard to move around with the furniture in it. There was also termite damage to the timber and the beds were rock hard. I don't normally make comment but there were a number downsides. The location however was convenient and pool area was nice. Staff were helpful.
- Lutos (10/5): Nice hotel facing the ocean - The best part of this hotel are the Filipinos they are kind friendly. One of the workers Jovan was the best helped us with our luggage and was knowledgeable about the area. I will come back again and stay because of Him. They have buffet breakfast daily and buffet for supper on a Saturday night. They have a restaurant on the main floor which has a variety of menu. The only thing that doesn’t work good is the wifi it should improve as it Barely work. The location is great as it faces the ocean you do need a ride to go to town but if you’re adventurous you can walk and see the locals
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The rooms come with a breakfast but sadly no heat lamps resulting in cold food every morning. Our group of 4 ate an evening meal but they forgot my wife's order. When they eventually brought her steamed Lapu-Lapu fish it was raw. She got mad and left. The serving staff need coaching on how to work in a restaraunt. We booked 2 separate excursions. The first one said it included snorkeling but we were shocked to learn at the pier that you have to rent the snorkels. The 2nd excursion was a 3.5 glittering firefly tour. When the driver showed up a half hour late the hotel phoned the tour company to ensure it would be extended 30 mins but we were told no, it was our loss. Finally, the swimming cold is usually empty due to the water being very cold regardless of the time of day we tried to swim. Not a pleasant stay.
- Nestor (10/5): - My family and friends enjoyed our stay in your beautiful hotel
- Jakob (6/5): Trevligt hotell med rum för förbättring - Bra hotell med hyfsat läge. Tyvärr luktade rummet av mögel och golvmattan hade tydliga fuktskador. Hårda sängar (för att vara i Filippinerna)
- Patricia (6/5): Newer hotel in Coron - The hotel is newer and very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and nice. There is internet available, but only in the lobby. They charge you for the use of pool towels. The customer service is good.
- ZandersLola (10/5): - I happily stayed for 1 night, in a deluxe room with big bathtub, king size bed and a twin bed. With me was my niece and a grandniece who enjoyed tremendously the tub and the swimming pool. Since I have family living in Coron, I had invited them for dinner. They actually recommended this hotel to me. I loved their pool and drinks. I think I will come back here on my future trips.
I really don't have any dislike about this hotel except the little inconvenience of the non-working elevator.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Strongly recommend the hotel! - Overall very good hotel, strongly recommend it. The only negative thing to highlight is that the hotel’s travel partner canceled our island hopping tour - It was suppose to leave 7.30 am, at 9.30 am they told us that the trip was canceled. They handled the situation poorly as well. Other hotel guest had similar experiences with significant delays. Except from this, very good!
- Anda (10/5): Very good - Great hotel with all you need! Very comfortable and helpful staff! Would definetly recommend !
- Maria (6/5): - Good value
- jayson (10/5): - more than the physical condition of the hotel, it was the staff (from front desk to housekeeping, to pool side, even to the guard) that makes the establishment worth the stay and revisit. incredible, warm and sincere service. management must be inspiring!
- Arglen (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall resort was clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was extremely happy that we chose this hotel for our stay in Coron. My boyfriend and I originally wanted to stay at the Two Seasons but the rooms were sold out. We reluctantly booked Sunlight and didn't have high expectations. However, I fell in love with this hotel. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. The breakfast buffet was amazing and offered a wide selection. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had a gorgeous view of the water. Further, Sunlight offers a very nice pool area that overlooks the bay. I will surely rebook this hotel in the future. Sunlight made our stay in Coron even better than expected.
- Peter (6/5): It’s a bed to sleep in at night, nothing more. - We arrived. Reception staff friendly. Some helpful and some not so helpful during our stay. Some dismissive (perhaps from helping numerous customers as once, but not the best way to manage).
The hotel was clean.
The one lift was broken. We were on the 4th floor, not great. Would have been nice to be told of this prior to arrival as it appeared to have been out of service some time.
The air conditioning in the reception and all communal areas was not on or working. So with the humidity and heat, walking up the stairs was not pleasant at all. Particularly bad was the restaurant for breakfast time. We left each morning after breakfast dripping with sweat.
The air conditioner in our room didn’t really work very well despite being on 16 setting at all times.
The island power outages meant the air conditioner would turn off during the night. When the generator turned on and kicked in, the air Conditioner would need to be switched back on. On the last night the air conditioner showed up with an error message and stopped working. Reported to staff but there wasn’t much they would do at 2am.
The pool was nicely maintained and had lovely views at sunset. They have a concrete pier (nothing special itself) but sitting on the end to watch the sunset was magical.
Overall, it was a bed to sleep in at night. I would not expect much more if you’re planning to stay here.
- Mary (8/5): Nice hotel - Lovely hotel stay, clean with a pool!
- Jannine M (10/5): Few complaints from me, definitely recommend! - Hotel was phenomenal! My family and I had 5 rooms and the service was phenomenal. My grandmother has arthritis so she has a hard time walking and they were able to accommodate our request for a 1st floor room. They also placed the rest of us all together. We celebrated my moms birthday and the hotel receptionist Nicka was amazing at helping us get a cake for her to celebrate. The manager also made sure to personally check on us and ask about our stay as we were checking out. Breakfast everyday was very filling though they could do with a few healthier options, it was very typical Filipino food - heavy meats, rice, eggs (only really had like 3 fruit options). The beds were a little hard but everything was clean and again the service was amazing.
Only downside was the elevator was out.
Still, definitely would recommend.
- Nicole (8/5): Good hotel but hard beds - Hotel was nice, room was spacey and bathroom had a big shower and space to put your toiletries. Breakfast buffet had limited options but was good enough. Only downside was the beds which were really hard.
- Evangelista (8/5): - It was a great stay. breakfast however needs some improvement must have bacon or ham.
- San (8/5): - The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The pool was very nice with a good view of the bay. The bed was very hard but once we got a mattress topper, it was comfortable. The breakfast was good, but a wider variety of fruits would be nice- only offered bananas and watermelon. Overall we had a good stay and would stay there again.
- SammyF (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located in town proper. The back of the hotel faces the bay which provides a good view of the islands nearby. The hotel is very well furnished. They provided free buffet breakfast which is much much more than I expected. The staff are very alert and attentive to the guests' need. The F & B Manager was awesome in providing vegetarian breakfast to my wife even before we asked for it. This is the only hotel I will choose to book on my next stay in Coron.
- Guil (8/5): - Clean and nice hotel. Front desk staff, partularly Ayza are very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant staff were helpful also but it appears they are new, thus need more training and experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall, good hotel with helpful staff. Good location, next to the ferry port and short tricycle ride away from town. Free airport shuttle service really helpful.
Check in process was really long due to the amount of people checking in on the same day and rooms not being available at check in time.
Bed’s not very comfortable.
- Alex (6/5): Could be better - Service was friendly. The hygiene of the hotel could be better, the bed etc.. it's really old and hard. I won't be back for this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and clean hotel. Beds are terrible. - The hotel is nice and clean. They provided pickup from the airport which was helpful. The room was nice and clean with good air conditioning. When we first showered, we noticed the water wasn't draining. We reported the issue and they quickly changed our room which was good. The Wifi was pretty decent too for Philippines standards. The only downside to this hotel is the bed - it is really stiff and thin. I woke up with a stiff neck the next morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel centrally located - The hotel was well located to the ferry port but a little outside Coron town, depending on where you want to be located.
The hotel was very clean but our room smelt a little like cigarette smoke and the twin beds were not very comfortable.
The pool was really lovely to have.
The staff were all polite and helpful.
- Jenelle (10/5): Stunning - We were so happy and pleased staying at this hotel. It is stunning!!!! I love the fact that they maintained the originality of the decor even with the slight modern upgrades. They have an amazing breakfast and you can walk out to the pool area. Great for families and the kids to enjoy a good swim. They have their own hotel docking areas and boat to take you out on the waters. The room was HUGE, cleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaannnn, comfortable, and equipped with all that you need and more. More than what we expected and wished we could have stayed longer here. It is slightly removed from the town with just a 10 minute walk. But there are trikes available all the time to bring you into town. I would highly highly highly recommend this hotel. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit.
- Ray (10/5): - A very nice hotel. Breakfast buffet was good and the pool and view were great. They are building a dock, hopefully they will run some tour from there someday.
The shower was very nice and had instant hot water.
- Ray (8/5): Nice hotel. Great View - The Sunlight was a last minute hotel find for me. Kind of pricey, but worth it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Restaurant offers good quality of food from thier regular menu. Their breakfast buffet isn’t quite as great. As with most of the hotels in Coron, they offer island hopping tours as well as tours around town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Wrong Hotel from what was on Expedia - Buyer Bewar - I was booking their hotel on an island with a beach, not the one on the bay without a beach. Since I saw only an animated picture online I called the hotel to verify it was the one on the island and even confirmed it more than 1 way. I get there 3 months later and it's the wrong one. A trip I planned for months, first time in Asia, my dream vacation, and I got fooled. I showed the hotel manager my Expedia link (actually 3 links) all pointing to the island hotel. They seemed surprised. REALLY?? For months you had all Expedia links showing the island hotel and had no idea?? Not believable. They upgraded us to a suite and comped us 1 lunch and 1 dinner. Besides the bed being rock hard, like all the hotels we stayed at in Thailand and Philippines, the hotel was nice. No activities tho, not lively, seemed largely empty, and the buffet breakfast had NO pancakes, NO waffles or french toast, NO pastries, NO sweets whatsoever. REALLY?? That's an incomplete buffet by anyone's standard. I've never seen that before. We made the best of it through tours and stuff, but no one likes to be surprised and delayed starting off with a headache like a completely wrong location. Shame on them for misleading us!!!
- ANTONIO (10/5): Memorable - location is kinda far from town but staff are polite and courteous
- joey (2/5): hotel room is small - hotel room is small no drawers to put your things or hang your clothes. only accept cash. skip this one..
