Лучшее что можно себе пожелать для пляжного отдыха . Территория очень большая , ухоженная. Персонал дружелюбный , заботливый . Уборка номера идёт 2 раза в сутки . В бунгалах все продумано до мелочей . Очень комфортный матрас , подушки ,пастельное белье , халаты , полотенца и т д . Есть открытый душ . Работают 2 мощных кондиционера , расположение которых очень грамотное . Но основное преимущество этого отеля - красота пляжа , моря , уединения и безумно вкусная кухня с большим выбора напитков , качественного алкоголя , коктейлей и т д по очень доступным ценам . Территория полностью закрыта ,что обеспечивает комфортное проживание и приват. Длинная береговая линия только для гостей отеля . Уехать из этого отеля невозможно ) я продлевала наше проживание несколько раз подряд. Ещё Огромное спасибо менеджменту отеля за ужин , который предоставили нам в подарок . Нам понравилось все !

Но мой восторг от супер -комфортного проживания , первоклассного обслуживания … тишины …. красоты пляжа с чистейшей бирюзовой водой и белоснежным хрустящим песком , мелким как мука , просто не отпускал ) и я постоянно продлевала своё прибывание . Завтрак включён в стоимость . Очень шикарный … вкусные сыры , колбасы , хамон , салями …омлеты , фрукты , натуральные соки , выпечка … вкуснейший кофе . За доп плату просеко , вино и т д )… любое удовольствие предоставляют с радостью и удовольствием ! Спасибо персоналу за искреннюю заботу о гостях отеля и персональный подход к каждому гостю . - Daniel (9/5): Best Sunset Ressort & Bar auf Koh Rong - Sehr schönes Boutique Ressort am weissen Strand gelegen. Tolle grosszügige Bungalows mit eigenem Pool. Hervorragendes Personal und köstliche Küche. Der Strand ist zwar sehr nett, aber das Wasser auf der ganzen Insel hat viele Plastikrückstände und ist daher nur bedingt zum Schwimmen geeignet.
- Imogen (9/5): Relaxing and private - It was beautiful, idyllic, tranquil and secluded. You felt like you were on your own private island. Everything was curated for experience and privacy- we loved staying here and would definitely come back. A couple of aspects left a slightly sour impression. The hotel is located on a very remote and quiet part of the island, and access is limited. The hotel charges $40 per person each way for its private boat to Sok San pier, followed by a transfer to the hotel. Given the lack of alternatives, this felt excessive. We instead opted for a public ferry at $35 per person return, which arrives at the same pier, but were then charged a further $15 for a 15-minute drive to the hotel. With no realistic alternative, this pricing felt disproportionately high. We have stayed at other remote five-star properties, such as Pimalai in Koh Lanta, where transport from Krabi airport is seamlessly arranged and included, making access straightforward and guest-focused. In comparison, the approach here felt less accommodating. Dining presented a similar issue. Due to the hotel’s isolated location, the only practical option in the evenings is to eat on-site. While it is technically possible to order food from elsewhere or travel by scooter to nearby villages, this feels impractical after dark, particularly in unfamiliar surroundings. This leaves the hotel restaurants as the primary option, which are notably expensive and can feel repetitive over several nights. Taken together, these pricing elements did leave us feeling somewhat aggrieved. We would likely have spent more freely had the overall approach felt less extractive. That said, we otherwise had a fantastic stay, and it is simply something future guests should be aware of.

The restaurants and bars serve quality fresh food and drink to a very high standard. The beach is perfect white sand and the sea is crystal clear. The hotel activities are great, I done the afternoon fishing trip and my wife and I done the snorkelling trip. Our hotel activity guide was Savy. He was great and really cares about you having a good time and is very knowledgable of the island and its surrounds. The main thing that makes this hotel stand out from other beach front luxury hotel we have stayed in before ,is the service. The staff are amazing , so kind and friendly and are there to assist you on anything you need. We would like to say thank you to Walter, who was our personal assistant and was always there to help and sorted out everything we needed , from booking restaurants and ranging local transport and excursion, he literally sorted everything and really made our trip so special. All through direct mobile contact where ever you are. We would also like ti thank Rimol from the ocean restaurant who served us every morning at breakfast. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again. Nothing, it was perfect

- soth (7/5): the staff was nice, the beach was nice, room not so clean and so has pool and public restroom - i like the beach, the staff are friendly. but for cleanliness, the hotel still have work to do. especially the restroom at the restaurant. It alitttle bit over price for similar resort compare to other country or inside Cambodia. too quiet, no activities. only two restaurant food menu is very limited, both western and especially khmer food.

- CECILE (10/5): A very relaxing stay in a beautiful setting - Idyllic setting, the beach is stunning and quiet. The villas are beautiful and spacious. We were upgraded to a pool villa which was wonderful. The hotel feels very private and the staff is just outstanding. They are very friendly, welcoming, attentive and always willing to help. The food is also delicious. Overall this is the perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful beach break. Would highly recommend! Nothing :)

- Sophie (8/5): Island paradise that could be perfect with some attention to detail. - The most beautiful sand beach with clear water we have ever stayed at. Nicely appointed room (however we moved from 220 which was poor (overlooked by restaurant, loud refrigeration noise if sitting outside, no view of sea on outside seating) to 209 which was good - so there is some inconsistency.) Room lay-out also very nice. We had a lovely host called Sela which was very attentive if we needed anything. Overall staff all lovely and attentive. Food overall excellent - great choice at Breakfast and everything we had at the restaurants was also good with generous portion sizes. It was perfect for a holiday where you want to do nothing but laze by the beach. Couple of details that were disappointing for a 5 star hotel charging £450+ per night including: - Rotting wood flooring in outside shower - having read other reviews this is an issue across the estate. - Arriving back at our room on the first night to two random men sitting on the floor in our bathroom repairing a blind - we had not been made aware of this! - Cheap sun loungers along the beach - no cushions and metal frame which became very hot to touch in the sunshine - Charge for basic activities (kayak, paddle board etc.) that we have always had for free at other 5 star hotels. - Inflexibility of boat transfer to and from the resort. Only runs twice a day and doesn’t take into account flight times etc. If you want to book out of hours it’s $880 one way!

- Sophie (10/5): A magical getaway - From the moment we arrived at the main port to take the ferry to the resort to the moment we left, all the staff of Royal Sands made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. Stunning white beach (I overheard a number of people say it was the most beautiful beach they’ve ever been to, and I have to agree), well appointed, quiet villas, wonderful food, and thoughtful activities to enjoy along with little touches throughout that made it feel super special. Wish we could have stayed longer!! It would have been the perfect place for a honeymoon.

Мы брали трансферт от отеля из Аэропорта до Сиануквилля. Машина отличная (кондиционер, вода, WiFi) Очень важно учитывать время прилета в Камбоджу. Позднее 18.00 уйти на остров невозможно, закрывается порт. Планируйте прилеты с учетом того, что вам необходимо будет добраться до Сиануквилля. (От ПномПеня 2,5 часа на машине).

- Julie (10/5): Amazing hotel - Amazing hotel on the most beautiful beach with powder white sand. Our villa was very special, clean, spacious and relaxing. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. Restaurants are very good with good selection of dishes on menus and very tasty. Overall this is a really special hotel and resort and a very relaxing holiday. The only thing that let down the hotel for us was there was no bar waiter service on the beach, no jugs of water when you arrive on beach so you have to keep walking backwards and forwards to the bar which is fine but in the heat you tend to want more refreshments. The beach sunbeds also had no cushions.

- Jacqueline (9/5): Wunderbares Resort an einem Traumstrand - Sehr schönes Resort am schönsten Strand der Insel (inkl. traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge). Der Sand ist weiss und das Wasser kristallklar. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und die Küche hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch das Essen in den beiden Restaurants war top. Die Bungalows sind geräumig und sogar mir einem Daybed im Innen- und Aussenbereich ausgestattet. Auch eine Outdoordusche gibt es. Eine Dusche am Strand wäre nicht schlecht, so könnte man sich nach dem Baden im Meer kurz abduschen.

- Harpreet (8/5): Come for the beach! - This is a destination holiday. Beautiful island and the resort has the most gorgeous beach. White sand and clear blue waters. We stayed in a beach front villa with direct access onto the beach. The villa is beautifully appointed and has an outdoor shower. Breakfast is lovely with fresh fruits and an egg station amongst other things. Happy hour for drinks is great but you have to order 2 of the same thing to get it free. Activities/excursions are available for a price. Its price. It is expensive and once on the resort you are trapped into paying their prices. There is not much around the resort that you can wander too. Transport to the resort is pricey and should almost be included as it is difficult to get to. As a vegetarian I felt the main restaurant did not have many veg options.

Tolle Strandbar. Die 1-stündige Fahrt mit dem Schiff zurück aufs Festland war nichts für Menschen, welche dazu neigen seekrank zu werden.

- Anja (10/5): Paradijs - Er is een dokter aanwezig die ons fantastisch hielp toen mijn dokter ziek werd. Hij was niet alleen zeer vriendelijk maar kwam na het eerste bezoek nog twee keer terug om te kijken hoe het ging. Hierdoor heeft mijn dochter toch nog van ons verblijf kunnen genieten en knapte ze snel op. Verder is het een prachtig resort op een paradijselijke locatie. Niets.
- Liz (8/5): Lovely place to visit with wonderful staff. - Beautiful location and the staff are wonderful, warm and helpful. In my opinion the price isn't justified, although it is lovely. The restaurant was closed the first night so we ate at the bar for lunch and dinner the first day, which is fairly basic. The resort is just not quite 'there' but definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant serves really tasty food and the chef is a real asset for the place. Very expensive activities that do not deserve their price.
- Dmitri (5/5): - The breakfast in the hotel is good, with a variety of dishes. In particular, the hotel offers a selection of different fruits. The safety of hotel guests is poor. On August 11, 2025, we were relaxing on beach chairs in front of our Beachfront Villa, no. 211. Many tourists were swimming that day, the waves were moderate and heading toward the shore, and a yellow flag was raised on the beach. At around 1 p.m., we pulled a drowned girl out of the water who had been vacationing at the hotel with her family. Half an hour earlier, my wife and I saw this girl on the beach jogging with her husband. Her husband and one of her family friends, who were on the beach, quickly ran to her body and immediately began to administer first aid. The hotel staff misled everyone by saying that a doctor would arrive soon. After about half an hour, the doctor still hadn't arrived, and the hotel staff were now saying something completely different: that the doctor would have to be brought in from Sihanoukville and that it would be quicker to take the injured woman by boat than to wait for the doctor at the Royal Sands hotel beach. The girl's body was placed on a stretcher and carried away from the beach. She was in very bad condition. A lot of time had been lost, and I don't think she could have survived. As this case shows, The Royal Sands Koh Rong is completely unable to provide assistance to a drowned person for the following reasons: (i) no lifeguard on the beach, (ii) no doctor, (iii) no defibrillator to restart the heart, (iv) confusion among hotel staff and contradictory information provided by staff, (v) the hotel's remoteness from Sihanoukville (the boat trip takes about an hour). All this means that in the event of drowning, the drowning victim will not be rescued in time.
- Daan (9/5): Only 5 star resort. - Prachtige locatie. Er is maar 1 echt 5 sterren resort op het eiland. Personeel uitmuntend. Ontbijt en service boven verwachting. Probeer wel accommodatie aan zee zicht, fantastisch als het lekker weer is. Af en toe wat Chinese die toch andere manieren erop na houden. Rokend het restaurant in komen, karaoke op strand beginnen, onbeschoft tegen personeel. Alle andere plaatsen op het eiland is niks te eleven dus het is wel belangrijk dat het resort goed is.

Don’t go to pagoda beach area, come directly here and book months before or you will find nothing. Fantastic breakfast overlooking the sea at the Ocean Restaurant Ciao Royal Sands you will remain in our hearts! The fruit selection is exceptional, although they should offer more options for vegetarians and not include predominantly meat dishes. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Ils ont tous été au petits soins pour nous avec de délicates attentions à tous les moments de la journée. L’hôtel est quant à lui formidable, toutes les infrastructures sont bien pensées, on s’y sent presque comme chez soi. Et l’emplacement est idyllique ! Mer, plage tout était au rdv !!!! The captain of the boat for the hotel transfer was safe and confident. On arrival to the island we were greeted by waving staff members and this unwavering kindness persisted through the stay. The villa was stunning, clean and personalised as we were staying for our honeymoon. The staff were flexible to requests and accommodated our wishes at every point. The sand was immaculate and the turquoise sea was stunning. We did the extra activities with Sinoun and he was knowledgable, caring and really made the extra effort with special touches. The food was delicious both western and Khmer. The staff throughout our stay were professional, kind, genuine and always caring for us. The hotel is perfect for guests who want quiet private time or guests who want a bit more to do. The best hotel we’ve stayed at in Cambodia and we will return! Nothing - amazing!

Aber das absolute beste daran ist, das komplette Team welches sich einfach Mega um jeden Gast kümmert (immer und jederzeit) Eine extra Erwähnung bedarf es auch der Küche, welche jeden Tag auf‘s neue uns überraschte! (Weihnachtsdinner war einfach nur perfekt!!) Nichts!!

- Annemarie (8/5): Fantastisch! - De zee, het strand, de accommodatie waren top. Het personeel doet echt hun best, maar ze begrijpen nogal eens wat niet. Er is zeker goed ingeprent dat ze altijd groeten en bijna buigen voor je…voelt soms ongemakkelijk. De prijzen voor eten en drinken zijn Europese prijzen, ook de accommodatieprijzen zijn echte westerse prijzen en dan verwacht je er toch iets meer van. Met oud en nieuw heb je geen keuze, je moet meedoen met de avond, maar deze avond moet wel los betaald worden en drinken zit nog niet in deze belachelijk hoge prijs van $180 pp vanaf 12 jaar. Dit werd niet vermeld bij de boeking, maar achteraf. Bereken dit soort avonden door in de accommodatieprijs, hoor je er niemand over. Aan de plek ligt het niet, de business-kant valt nog veel te verbeteren.

- WIM (9/5): - The location is very beautiful. The villas very spacious and convenient with sea view. The staff is super friendly and helpful. One of the highlights is the Ocean restaurant with delicious breakfast and a good mix of Western and Asian food. We paid 520$ a night and therefore expensive but the price for the transfer and other activities are too expensive. The resort could have a bit more fun, more spice.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, but not intrusive in any way. The room is very comfortable, large and luxurious, with daily fruit, snacks, and water. The private infinity pool with the villa is large enough for swimming and has warm water. We have had private pools previously in resorts but never one so large. We have been to many beaches in the world, but this is the best of the best. The white sand, warm clear water, and gentle waves make it the perfect beach for swimming. The villas are very close to the water for ultimate views. The beach is not at all crowded and has daily lounge chairs/umbrellas provided. Perfection! Nothing
