• Karen (9/5): Wonderful - The whole property is very picturesque: old mill, trees, views. The cottage we had was very quaint and cozy, which was important as we arrived in the middle of the Cape storms. Cassandra did her best to make sure we were comfortable. A lovely stay.

• Claudia (10/5): Phantastische Lage, wunderschönes Ambiente, unbedingt zu empfehlen - Traumhaftes Anwesen in wunderschöner Lage in den Bergen. Top gepflegte Anlage mit toller Vegetation. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Sehr gutes à la carte-Frühstück. Sehr viel besser als die angegebenen drei Sterne. Wir waren im Forest-Cottage mit zwei Schlafzimmern untergebracht. Leider nur ein Bad für vier Personen. Ansonsten tolle Ausstattung.
• Phoebe (9/5): Fantastic stay! - Gorgeous rooms that are genuinely very comfortable and have everything that you need for your stay. Stunning surroundings and a lovely pool. This will not disappoint. Will be back for sure! You’re left to your own devices and sometimes staff were hard to find when we needed something. Not necessarily a bad thing!

• Louis (8/5): La Cotte won’t disappoint you. We had a lovely 5 nights there and would definitely come back. - It was a lovely cottage. The proximity to the other cottages wasn’t as obvious to us as Id thought it would be.

• Michael (9/5): Familie Paradies im Herzen von Franschhoek! - Perfekte Lage direkt in Franschhoek! Tolle Anlage, sehr gepflegt. Man fühlt sich sicher und wohl! Die Forest Cottages eignen sich ideal für Familien, die Kinder können im weitläufigen Garten spielen und man hat sie immer im Auge! Auch der Pool ist bezaubernd. Check in erfolgt auf keinen Fall vor 14 Uhr wir haben bis Punkt gewartet und dann unsere Zimmerkarte bekommen. Restaurant hat nur bis 17 Uhr geöffnet, auch keine Möglichkeit für Getränke wie Wasser.

Frühstück und Lunch ebenfalls super lecker!! Es gibt gar nichts zu meckern! Bisschen näher zum Zentrum wäre noch schöner, ner das hat nichts mit dem grandiosen Hotel an sich zu tun😊

• Ekaterina (10/5): Домик из мечты - Понравилось абсолютно все! Ни одного минуса. Это был настоящий домик из мечты! Домик очень красивый снаружи и внутри, красивый дизайн всего, столько милых деталей, посуда, подушечки, мебель из ротанга, все нереально красиво. Удобный паркинг у домика. Спасибо отелю за заботу -за приветственную бутылку вина, молоко в холодильнике, кофе и тд. У дома растет лаванда и цитрусы. Территория винодельни тоже очень красивая, виноградники, дубы, цветы, мельница, все очень зелено и ухоженно. Вид на горы потрясающий! Ресторан La Cotte тоже с восхитительным дизайном и вкусными завтраками. Рядом в пешей доступности также много других ресторанов и винный трамвай. Пожив здесь 4 ночи и объездив не одну винодельню в округе, могу с уверенностью сказать, что La Cotte просто лучшая! Надеюсь еще вернемся! Такого нет

• Cherie (8/5): I love la cotte. Will be back. - Love la cotte - it’s beautiful . The pool area is stunning. The cottage was lovely . Love the Fresh milk in the fridge. The filtered water is delicious . The setting takes my breath away. Stunning linen on the beds & very comfy mattress . Staff at the restaurant - need more awareness on customer service / loudness when they talk with each other - clanging plates . Etc not all very friendly . Blessed was our waiter at lunch & was lovely . But the breakfast was not a great experience . The manager needs training in client liaison & etiquette . Also some umbrellas at the pool broken - need repair / replacement .

Loved swimming in the communal pool to seeing the chickens in the coup. Coffee and pastries at the Old Mill is excellent, and the cottage had everything we could have needed Wish the 2 bed cottages had a bath (only showers).

• Yvonne (7/5): Beautiful place but disappointed with the accomodation - Part of La Cotte Farm which is a beautiful place. These rooms (as opposed to the Orchard cottages) are in need of upgrading. The two bedroom cottage had very small bedrooms with no air con in the bedrooms which made it very hot. The pictures indicate they are individual cottages but they are in fact one long block. There is no lighting at all on the paths/ roads from the main hotel so have to have a car to get to and from even the main hotel. Roads to these cottages are not tarmac so very dusty walk

• Hannah (8/5): - We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation. Perhaps the pool room would be better. We found the reception staff very friendly and very helpful arranging a transfer for us.

We had the most beautiful little cottage with a barbecue and it was just the most peaceful experience - exactly what we needed. Also so easy to get into Franschhoek. The restaurant at La Cotte is also magnificent and the staff are brilliant and professional. We were devastated that we only stayed for 2 days and will be back!!

Fantastic location within walking distance of Franschhoek town but still feels quiet and remote. Cottage is well equipped with a braai and kitchenware. It was very hot in the bedrooms at night which made it difficult to sleep. An air conditioning unit in the bedroom would have made our stay much more comfortable.

Great terrace where you can enjoy the time and use the swimming pool (if wheather allows). Fully equipped with all you need. Town is within walking distance but it takes about 15 minutes

Grumpy staff at breakfast. Poor chaotic service. Rooms not dirty but felt a bit worn out. Cold uncomfortable loft spaces. Poor insulation. Mainly suited to families seeking space to be surrounded by other families.
