• Kathy (10/5): Exceptional value, very clean, very comfortable! - A hidden gem and a great value. Very clean, beds are perfect, and the shower had excellent water pressure. There was outdoor furniture to relax in. Check in was via text and door code- immediate response from the property. We needed more soap and it was delivered within 10 minutes. Everything we needed after a long driving day!

• David L (8/5): Add a lamp - Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, with all the amenities I need. My only complaint: my room (similar to the one pictured) did not have a lamp or reading light next to or over the bed.
• Katharina (10/5): - We didn’t get in until late so it was very dark. I initially missed my turn because there wasn’t a lighted sign. I was quite nervous as to what the room would look like as it was in a run—down part of town and the parking lot was pretty dark; but, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was! It is not modern, but served its purpose as a safe and clean place to sleep for the night. I like that the motel had reached out to me earlier in the day via text giving the door code and cell phone number if we needed anything during our stay - so check in was a breeze! Something worth mentioning that is not the motel’s fault; we hadn’t had dinner yet and were starving by the time we got there. The choices in town were very limited. It was a Friday around 8:30p and most places were closed or closing. I would strongly recommend eating before you get into town.

• Kevin (10/5): Quaint - Quaint and unassuming… Had everything we needed for our over night stay an hour away from Mt Rushmore.
• Sidonna (10/5): - Property was clean and is in a very quiet area. I received a text letting me know my code to the door. I didn't have to check in. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The ac kept the room cool. Only issue was there wasn't alot of outlets to plug in electronics. Overall, I highly recommend!!
• Martin (6/5): - Newcastle is a pleasant small town with a great little diner in the centre of town and a small cinema. The motel is fine for a stop on a road trip; quiet and safe. Reception closes at 10pm, but staff were friendly and helpful with information on how to check into the room.

• James (8/5): - A nice older motel with updated remodeling. Still doing more renovations. What I liked the most was sitting outside our room and having several conversations with other guest. I enjoyed having my morning coffee while sitting outside and watching the sunsets are great too.

Such a cute motel with comfortable beds, nice outdoor seating, and our room had a huge bathtub! Our hostess was super nice and check-in was very easy. Clean, quiet, and comfortable!
• Shelly (9/5): Will be our first choice stay in Newcastle - Very clean room. Nice, updated bathroom. Super comfortable foam mattress. No room key or card! Instead they use a combo door lock which works great and one less item to carry and account for. The outside garbage can was overflowing and not emptied daily.

• DualsportChic (10/5): Deserves 6 stars out of 5! - If I could give 6 out of 5 stars I would. For a budget, self service motel, this place is AWESOME. Very non-descript from the outside, but in a quiet area and the rooms are spotless with comfy updated beds and a sparkling bathroom. The room had an AC which kept it nice and cool after a ~100+ day. The water pressure in the shower is heavenly too! The room has a fridge and micro in addition to a coffee maker. The person I spoke with to make the reservation was very nice and helped me make the rez the night of my stay due to being forced to leave a large chain hotel an hour to the southwest due to the cigarette smell giving me a massive asthma attack. Only thing that I would love to see is an ice machine in the office - especially in the heat of summer.

• Michael J (10/5): - Needed a one day stop on my way to colorado. Small town but few dinig options and short beautiful hike nearby. For a motel, rooms were fairly updates, comdortable, clean, and staff was friendly. Great for budget overnight stay as well as longer if you'd be exploring the area.

The rooms and bathroom are also quit spacious. I love the ease of motels in which you can park outside your room door. The beds pillows and bedding were very clean and comfortable. Another plus to this motel is the view of the hills in the morning and cozy outside sitting area. Service and communication was prompt. Great place to stay
