That was nowhere mentioned in the room description or during the booking process. I would never have booked a room without window – specially not for the quite expensive price!

- Muhammad Zulfadli (4/5): - No doubt, the staff were really warm and friendly. Check-in was easy and a breeze with collection of security deposit. However, I was truly shocked when the room type booked is what seemed to be a sub basement unit of the hotel. Superior room, a first time for me to walk out of the lobby down to a lower level. Sewage smell at the corridor, in the toilet was inevitable. Price wasn’t the lowest of Johor Bahru but I didn’t expect it. Air conditioning worked but because of the odd room layout, you barely feel the cold air from the bed. No windows, no clock, just a TV. Definitely first and the last for me.

There was an unpleasant smell that occurred intermittently, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the coffee creamer provided was unusually hard and not usable. Addressing these concerns would definitely enhance the overall guest experience. Thank you for considering this feedback.

- Choo (8/5): - Stayed 4 nights. First of all I booked this hotel for it's proximity to many food options and good location. However, there are a few defects in the room which I like to highlight here. Firstly, the safe is not working on once I checked in, secondly the dressing table chair is dislodged and it is a safety hazard. Lastly the water basin is leaking but still manageable. Not being picky for the price paide but might be a major issue to picky travellers.

- Anonymous (3/5): Do not recommend, unless you are aiming for a budget hotel - Property looks okay from the picture but the room and parking was bad. The room looks old and the smell of the room was bad. The smell came from the toilet and the basin tab was rusty. Hotel room is not sound proof, literally can hear people talk and walking in and out during midnight. Security - location or the hotel itself might not be safe. Heard people quarrel / fight during the midnight.

- Yong (2/5): Only book rooms that is within the hotel itself (meaning anything above not basement). Pay extra. - Cheap pricing for accommodation ONLY. That's the only thing that attracts me to book and try G5. The room is in the basement and it is made up of partition wall panels (obviously it was renovated). Room was smelly and there's an automatic fragrance scent machine being installed in the room. At every 20-30mins, it will trigger. The aircon is also kind of on a timer. At random timings (let's say approx every 2hrs), there will be a beeping sound as though something being re-set. One of the toilet flush notch was not working. Room floor was dirty and you have to wear your shoe inside the room all the time if not your feet will be black in colour. Not worthy at all to stay in the basement of G5.

The phone was dirty! The balcony was dirty! Swimming pool was under renovation, but hotel didn’t even bother to update when we booked the hotel! TERRIBLE! This will be the first and the last time I stay here!!
