• Kingsley (9/5): Good Experience Overall at Villa Krish - Had a wonderful stay at Villa Krish! The place was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Loved the beach vibe, spacious atmosphere, and the overall hospitality. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The location was great for enjoying both adventure and relaxation. Definitely a memorable stay and would love to visit again! Special thanks to Professor Mr. Robinson. A few things could have been better during the stay at Villa Krish. The maintenance in certain areas could be improved, especially the indoor swimming pool, which needs better upkeep and cleanliness. Parking was also a concern, as the space/access could have been more convenient. Apart from these issues, the overall stay was still relaxing and enjoyable.

The restaurant had a nice view and they were very friendly I'm not sure if anything can be done regarding this but I'm sharing this anyways. The cellphone reception was very poor. I had an Airtel connection. It didn't have any network, so I couldn't make a call or receive one inside the room. I had to go out or use whatsapp for calls

Breakfast is another building further ahead. Breakfast was below average in selection, taste and quality This is a very basic place.

Only 4 tables were provided and no food a - Location Only one staff member and he was arrogant and we requested for a three hour extension on payment basis as it is very hot outside and we had time to catch flight. He was arrogant and told that hotel is fully booked, but our surprise we tried to book through booking.com, we got a confirmed booking. Hotel staff was not at all cooperative with the customers

• Nurun (5/5): Good location, if you want somewhere just to put your head down fine but do not come here if you’re looking for service - The cleaning team were a lovely group of ladies—super friendly, warm, and always happy to help. The location is perfect, right in the heart of White Town and close to everything. The balcony areas are pretty (even though I didn’t have one), and the front desk were helpful, after I approached them on my last day, assisting with an ATM issue and arranging my transfer to Chennai airport. A major downside was the breakfast situation, which I think is important for future guests to know. The hotel advertises a rooftop restaurant and breakfast on Booking.com, but this wasn’t actually available during my stay. I was told breakfast isn’t served on-site if the hotel isn’t fully occupied, which is quite disappointing and not something made clear in advance. Instead, I was directed to another property for breakfast, which was inconvenient. Unfortunately, the breakfast there was extremely basic—easily the most disappointing I’ve had in India. There was no real sense of hospitality, no proper coffee, and overall it felt like a very minimal offering. When I raised this with a senior member of the front-of-house team, there was little acknowledgment or apology, which added to the frustration. The room, although labelled deluxe, felt quite tired and dimly lit, and the TV had very limited channels. That said, the bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower, and the cleaning team did a great job keeping everything fresh. There was also a lack of clear communication from the front desk about things like housekeeping and breakfast arrangements. Overall, while the price is reasonable, I would personally have preferred to pay a bit more for a hotel with more consistent service and better facilities. The key thing to consider when booking is: be mindful of reviews on Instagram or YouTube—while the location is great and a balcony room would certainly enhance the stay, there are plenty of fantastic hotels around White Town offering far better service, often for only a small difference in price.

• Sarah (8/5): Will come back - Excellent location. Robin the manager is incredibly nice and helpful: thank you Robin ! The food (breakfast) is not great and is not served in the hotel (you have to walk 2 min to another hotel). But they are plenty of other options nearby
• JENNIFER (5/5): Don’t be fooled by the look of the photos online. - The location was quite good. The shower didn’t work very well. No housekeeping provided upon arrival. The manager had a heated argument in front of us with a staff member. The restaurant was expensive and the food wasn’t very nice. The free breakfast was offsite and appalling, no tea or coffee after half an hour. The bed was 4 feet off the ground, not so good for a couple in their 70’s even with the steps provided. Very sharp broken tiles on the step into the bathroom. There were no ceiling lights just lamps and the power sockets didn’t work very well.

• Matthew Andrea (8/5): A great value-for-money stay, comfortable and pleasant overall. - I liked the spacious room and the very comfortable bed. The room had everything we needed, including a nice balcony. The breakfast buffet was generous and good, and there was also a small swimming pool. The only small downside was that the swimming pool was smaller than expected, but it was quiet and relaxing since I was the only one using it. There was only one sunbed, so at most only two people could use the area comfortably.

• Francoise (7/5): Vaut pour le charme du style colonial et sa situation - C’est extérieurement un bel hôtel colonial au cœur de White Town et vraiment idéalement situé. Le petit déjeuner est très basique et se tenait tantôt dans l’hôtel Krish tantôt dans l’hôtel du Ocean situé à 100m au coin de la rue, (même propriétaire)sans que j’en comprenne les raisons. Service ménage pas au top notamment au niveau de la piscine et des assiettes à débarrasser dans les couloirs.

The staff was polite and accomodating to our requests. 1. The room tariff was over priced. There were good hotels in the same area which was very reasonable compared to Villa Krish. 2. The breakfast option was not that great which forced us to try out the nearby cafe's. 3. They have a rooftop restaurant where the morning breakfast is served. They do not have a net to keep the birds out and were constantly bothered by crows during breakfast. 4. The menu is very limited and is also overpriced.

Le lit (en hauteur) bougeait beaucoup, à tel point que l'on a pas dormi... Le mobilier est globalement vétuste, la chambre manque d'entretien. La clim et le frigo faisaient énormément de bruit. Mauvais rapport qualité/prix, dommage.

Bon petit déjeuner en rooftop mais servi dans une autre rue. La dame est très gentille. Le patron est très sympa aussi. Bruit jour et nuit (klaxon, chiens, couloir). Le matelas est vraiment trop mou. Le frigo ne fait pas de froid.

• de Vries (8/5): Heel mooi koloniaal hotel op toplocatie - Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame manager! We kregen een prachtige koloniale kamer met een heel mooi balkon aan de gezellige straat. De locatie is helemaal ideaal: alles wat je wilt zien in Pondicherry is op loopafstand. En de roof top is heel mooi, met uitzicht op zee en prima eten en drinken! De verlichting in de kamer is matig, bijvoorbeeld geen leeslampjes. Dus steeds de zaklamp van je telefoon nodig.

Had to keep the lights on the whole day because there was no proper ventilation and we couldn’t even open the windows because the ‘city view’ were walls and pipes with an unfavourable smell. Hence, we couldn’t open the windows.

• DEEPTI (9/5): Cozy, beautiful and asthetic vibes - We had a wonderful time staying at this property in White town. It was a beautiful stay with cozy and asthetic rooms. The location was very good from whrre you can explore the whole white town, cute cafes and nearby rock beach. We booked the room with balcony and the view from balcony depicts white town structures. It was clean and tidy. The hotel staff was very cooperative. We reached early morning, so the receptionist helped us to stay in the lobby until check-in time.We also opted for their breakfast while booking the stay and it was tasty. Overall, we loved the vibe and surely recommend to book this stay for a wonderful time. Everything was wonderful. Just in addition to, the breakfast menu can be expanded a little.

• Jean-Pierre (4/5): Possible mais pas idéal - Grande chambre, lit correct, assez propre, personnel agréable, emplacement tb Petit déjeuner indigent ou carrément non possible, piscine peu propre et toute petite, froide, établissement mériterait une rénovation, bruyant avec travaux.

• Vikas (7/5): Good location. Good stay. Eat else where. - Room was beautiful. Location was perfect. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was substandard. very limited option and not great. They did not provide water with breakfast and when asked for water, they asked me to purchase a bottle.
• Raghu (5/5): Expecting More - Great location Cleanliness, deceptive room pictures, lack of proper car parking. Mainly cleanliness. Food plates kept outside the room remained uncleared for more than 24 hours!
• Iris (8/5): Nice, clean room in the heart of the town. - Nice, big and clean room. Very welcoming staff. Robinson the manager was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to him we had a really nice daytrip to Mahabalipuram and knew which train to get to our next stop.
• Macarena (3/5): It is enough to sleep, and enjoy the Puducherry - Great location, spacious room and nice (but missing natural light) Very Noisy - even if we had an interior room - we could hear the bathroom from other rooms and the people in the swimming pool. In addition to that, there was works in the hotel and with noise over the night (I was woke up at 4am with a drilling machine) Dirty - towels not clean, duvet with mold stains, and some insects in the bed, not toilet paper and no shampoo. Dust cleaning could be improved. Basic Breakfast - it is self service in the rooftop which is full of crows and they become very annoying trying to steal your food from your dish. Bad powder coffee. We ended up going to a next door restaurant to have the breakfast
