The location is perfect, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is simply outstanding. Mariana and Maria were wonderful, genuine hosts — their kindness and warmth made me feel at home the moment I arrived. What made it even more special was the chance to connect with other guests. Over the delicious breakfast and later in the evening with a glass of wine, I had conversations that made the experience feel more like staying with friends than at a hotel. As a solo traveler, I never once felt unsafe — in fact, I felt cared for and completely at ease. This place is truly a hidden gem, a little slice of heaven. I only wish I could have stayed longer! If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, but an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, connection, and authenticity — this is it.

Their sister property, S. Nikolis Historic Boutique Hotel, also provided excellent support. Delicious, freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Our room had its own air conditioner and a private outdoor seating area.

Feels like staying in another time! Breakfast is absolutely delicious and fresh (this is no “hotel buffet” nonsense, they make it fresh to order), very quiet street but near all the Rhodes magic. AC worked well, restocked water every day was a nice touch! Comfy bed. Good lighting. Nice shower. Well furnished. Very happy we stayed here!

The room was spotless. Breakfasts were amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. I paid for late checkout and then the golf cart took us back to the Old Town gate (no vehicles in the Old Town). I would go again and recommend to my friends.

The only negative is that Rhodes old town is party central. The music is very loud until 03.30 emanating from nearby squares and bars. The only way to avoid it is to have the air conditioning on full.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Nice stay in the Old Town - A lovely stay in the Old Town of Rhodes. Our taxi was met by a golf cart to take us and our luggage to the hotel. Our cases were taken to our room We had a lovely room with a big bed and good air-con. We had a little sitting area outside with an umbrella. We walked around the old and new parts of town and had a relaxing stay. Breakfast was lovely and served in the lovely garden next to an old church. We had a bottle of wine on arrival and were provided with water every day of our stay which was great. There are bars and restaurants nearby so this place is in a great location to explore Rhodes old town - a nice time was had here.

I cancelled that me was delighted that St Artemis had a room available. Within an hour we were welcomed back and had the same wonderful reception in this beautiful little hotel. Staff, especially Maria, is extremely kind and helpful including creating individual breakfasts every morning for the guests. Rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel is located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
- Omar (10/5): Hidden Gem in Rhodes Old Town - What a beautiful experience, right in the middle of Rhodes old town. This is a hidden gem a magical and unique space. Mariana and her crew are the nicest and most charm full people.
- Anita (10/5): - We could not have wished for a nicer stay. Marianna, Maria and Maria looked after us wonderfully. We stayed at Saint Artemious guest house for 8 nights. The room was large and in an old medieval building with high ceilings and felt very spacious. We had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast everyday was freshly made and delicious. I was even made a fuss of on my birthday which was very touching. The property is tucked away in a quiet back lane very close to Soctratous Street and all the main attractions of Old Rhodes Town are in easy walking distance. Whatever the star rating of the property is we certainly had 5 star service. It was really lovely and I couldn't recommend it more.

- Neil (10/5): - Located right in the centre of old town. Walking distance to all shops, restaurants and ATM’s Quiet location providing the other guests are quiet too.
- Mary (10/5): - Our stay got off to an excellent start and just got better and better. A golf cart met us at the gate and, although it was late at night, the hotel owner, Marianna, was there to welcome us. She even escorted us to a nearby restaurant which was still open. We had an excellent and leisurely meal and, when we asked for the bill, the manager informed us that he had been asked to contact Marianna who would be back to walk us home. My husband and I both have mobility issues and were given a lovely room with great air conditioning which opened onto the courtyard where Maria served us a lovely breakfast each morning. Although close to shops and many restaurants, as well as within walking distance of the harbour, palace etc., the hotel was quiet and sitting in the courtyard each evening was a pleasure, as was meeting the other guests. We had Marianna's direct line and nothing was too much trouble. Only vehicles with permits are allowed within the old city walls but there is a free municipal golfcart service which can be phoned or flagged down. We highly recommend the boat trip to Symi and have no hesitation in encouraging others to book a stay in Artemios or its sister hotel, Saint Nicholas. Satisfaction guaranteed. - Gabriel (6/5): - This is a 3 star hotel. There was a musty smell in our room, most probably from the old roof beams and old furniture. There is very little room for toiletries next to the bathroom sink. Our room was simple but functional, except for the bathroom, as I mentioned above. The breakfast lacks options: it is eggs every day or bread and industrial jam and yogurt with walnuts. No croissant, no spanacopita, no cheese pie. Cleanliness is the only 5 star attribute for Saint Artemios. We will probably look for a different hotel next time in Rhodes.

- Rae (10/5): - An amazing experience! Our stay began with Mariana walking us to the hotel from our drop-off point and giving us recommendations for various restaurants and bars nearby. She was so helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious and had all the facilities we needed, very clean and fantastic air con too. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. Maria, who served breakfast each morning was so friendly and obliging, we cannot fault any of the staff! Though very central and near some bars and restaurants, the hotel is down a quieter street, meaning you are only a few minutes walk from the centre but also tucked away enough that the rooms are quiet! If we are to ever visit Rhodes again, this would be our first choice! We wish all the staff the best.
- Toni (10/5): - The property is a hidden gem amongst the medaeval alleyways in Rhodes Old town. Just off a busy, exciting main street, you are in a quiet and quant property which has a fantastic and beautiful courtyard with its own original chapel. The property built in 1400 has been tastefully done to a high standard. The room had everything we needed and had a spectacular view across the roof tops. We couldnt thank Maria enough for the fantadtic breakfadt and anything you needed wasnt a problem. The owner Anna helped us with our taxi to the airport, taking us down to the Liberty gate helping with luggage. Highly recommended, will come back again!
- Sean (10/5): - We stayed here for two nights before moving onto Lindos and left wishing that we'd stayed longer. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the old town with lovely restaurants just around the corner but still walkable to the beach. The setting for the hotel is beautiful, surrounding a scenic court yard where breakfast is served in the morning. Finally the service was incredible (with a special shoutout to Maria who went out of her way to make sure we had the best stay). Definitely worth a visit and we hope to be back!

It fantastic way to arrive in the Old Town. All very easy. Marianna was a lovely host. Very laid back and the staff were excellent. The hotel is tucked away from the main busy areas and is quiet.

It is so perfectly located, only a short walking distance from the shopping area, restaurants and bars with music in the old town, however the hotel itself is on a quiet side-street and is very peaceful. The hotel has a lovely enclosed yard/garden with plumeria and pommegranade trees, where breakfast is served. The breakfast included eggs, greek yoghurt and granola, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee, all served by a very nice lady called Maria. We got an upgrade to our room at no cost and our new room had a cute living room and a sort of mini-loft bedroom. The room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Our only small issue was somewhat slow internet at-times. But overall it was a very positive experience and I strongly recommend this hotel to others. Just beware that a taxi will not be able to drop you off near the hotel due to it being located in the pedestrian area of old town and you'll probably have to use a maps app to help you find the quiet side-street of the hotel.

The room was excellent, and the courtyard area was so lovely for relaxing after a day of exploring. Fantastic breakfast also included, with a small menu showing multiple options that you can choose between, both hot and cold items. Highly recommend staying here.
- Casondra (10/5): Like a fairy tale with a nurturing godmother - My first night was a bit disorienting because Old Town is something of a maze, and I was very sleep deprived from travel. But it is really easy to figure out how to get around after some rest! Maria, who makes a hearty, healthy breakfast each morning and makes sure you have what you need, is a wealth of helpful information and super nuturing. She will take care of you and make you feel like family. I spent ~11 nights here, I would definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to friends. Only negatives were: 1) The shampoo and conditioner could be more high end and natural/eco. Olive oil to the rescue! 2) The electricity shuts off when you leave the room, which his great for ecology, but tricky for charging batteries. Plan ahead. Also don't buy milk for the mini fridge. Overall, though, this place is like a fairytale, and very inspiring if you are an artist/filmmaker/writer/etc. Just do it! :)

- Debra (10/5): - This is a lovely boutique hotel situated right in the middle of Rhodes Old Town. Despite being only a few hundred yards from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town’s Main Street, it is very quiet at night. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished with very modern bathrooms. Breakfast is excellent and served between 8.00 am and 10.00am in the courtyard by the lovely, helpful Maria. The courtyard itself is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a cool drink or a glass of wine when you get back from exploring. There are many very good restaurants within easy walking distance.

The property is a 2-3 mins walk away from the hustle and bustle of the shops and restaurants. Maria, our host, was so friendly, polite and a pleasure to interact and talk to. The breakfasts in the morning was so fresh and delicious, make the most of the Greek yogurt and the fresh juice! The mornings are perfect and quiet to enjoy the sounds of the birds! We were super comfortable at the property with all amenities, including iron, fridge and hot shower. Thank you Maria and all, we had an incredible time here and hope to visit again soon!

As you enter the gates, you realise you’ve stumbled on this little gem of an oasis in the midst of a bustling medieval town. Georgia, our host, went above and beyond for us. So warm, helpful and informative - we experienced the best Rhodes has to offer because of the effort she took - she’s an expert not only within the old town, but also on which vineyards, beaches, ruins and long winding scenic roads to take. Our time on Rhodes would not have been the same without her! And then there is the breakfast - Georgia prepares fresh traditional Greek breakfasts on site every morning using locally sourced produce. Don’t miss out on her Frappes either!! We really recommend St Artemios Hotel (and Georgia’s hospitality and cooking)!

The rooms are superb and the courtyard is a beautiful haven of tranquillity. The location is within 3 minutes' walk of half a dozen really nice restaurants and it's close to all key attractions. Georgia met us at our taxi, (even carried my suitcase!) and presented us with a glorious entrance into the courtyard of the hotel. She invited us to sit down while she checked us in, offering pastry and a beverage. Shortly after, she joined us, asked a few questions and was ready to suggest historical sites and restaurants in Rhodes Town and beyond. She offered to plan our 3 day stay in Rhodes! Our accommodations were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our trip was superb all because of Georgia. We've made a forever friend, that we miss already, and can't wait to return!

To say we had to traverse a previously unknown walled city at 10:30pm was daunting - is an underestimate. The staff arranged a taxi at the airport and they met us at drop-off point and walked us through to the hotel, where wine and a warm welcome were awaiting us. The rooms are exactly as shown on the website - within a walled courtyard with chairs, loungers and umbrellas available. Staff took the time to phone and book the trips we wanted to take but were also unobtrusive when required. Georgia -the Manager was amazing and so helpful. Would give it 10 out of 10 and can think of nothing that did not come up to our expectations. Looking forward to our next stay in this beautiful place.

Nestled in the heart of Rhodes old town, the location was idyllic and serenely peaceful. The rooms are large, comfortable and with a beautifully relaxing decor. Our host Giorgia (which I hope I’ve spelled correctly) and the other young lady working there, who’s name I didn’t manage to catch, really couldn’t do enough for you. The epitome of Greek hospitality and friendliness that you would be very hard matched to find anywhere else in the world. Nothing was too much trouble, from helping with our, rather extensive, array of luggage, to arranging a tour guide, booking rental cars and just generally getting to know you, it was exceptional service. I couldn’t recommend the place more highly if you are going to be staying in the old town. 11/10.

The hotel is located in a small compound of beautifully restored buildings with very comfortable and impeccably clean rooms and all facilities you could need. Very centrally located in the old town but far away enough from the hustle and bustle to guarantee a relaxing stay. The staff were amazingly helpful, particularly George, whose insights and recommendations were fabulous. Highly recommended!
