Guest Reviews
- Janne (9/5): Me kjem definitivt til å leige her i gjenn. - Veldig bra beliggenhet. Koseleg hus. God seng. Det var ikkje vaskemiddel til oppvaskmaskinen, så dei som har budd her før oss har nok vaska uten. Så bestikk og porselen var ikkje reint. Eg kjøpte vasketablettar å vaska før me brukte utstyrer.
- Laura (8/5): Beautiful cottage in an ideal location - Ideally situated, comfortable cosy. Love the decor. Would highly recommend. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property itself. The only downfall was someone must have split milk in the fridge which unfortunately wasn’t cleaned properly so it really smelt.

- David (6/5): Comfortable and convenient - Lovely period cottage and well placed for the town centre. Comfortable with satisfactory heating. There was poor service after the first week. The cleaner failed to come on the day specified and I was only notified late in the morning. I expected her to sweep the floor and take out the rubbish, but this was not done. Only two toilet rolls were provided for two weeks so I had to buy more myself.
The cost of parking in the public parking area was very high and this would be a major cost for someone with a car. Visitors should be warned.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely cosy cottage, great central location for Farnham and train station - I've stayed before. Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable, excellent location for central Farnham and train station Nothing
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely cottage in excellent location in Farnham. Would happily stay here again - Cosy cottage. Had everything I needed for a few days stay. 5 mins to amenities including supermarket. 10 min to the train station. Nothing I didn’t like
- Melinda (9/5): We loved our stay at Cartref. A comfortable and charming home full of character and convenient to everything. - Full of charm. Felt at home the minute you walked in. Not really something we didn’t like but a suggestion- maybe provide a clothes airer. We did our washing at a local laundrette. As it was raining we found it difficult to get clothes try.
Maybe add a suggestion to the guide book to shower with bathroom door closed so it doesn’t activate the smoke alarm.
Nothing we didn’t like, just suggestions.
- Paul (8/5): Cosy cottage for two very close to town and plenty of places to eat out. We enjoyed our stay. - Very close to town. Cosy cottage quite well equipped. Very clean and the mid week change of bedding and clean was welcome. The wifi didn't work all stay but the host did offer to pay for a wifi connection, although that took a couple of days to arrange
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect for a business trip base - A little diagram would have helped to find the key box but got there with the help of a neighbour! Nice touch to have a pint of milk waiting in the fridge. Excellent place to stay and I've already recommended to colleagues
- Michaela (9/5): Fantastic cottage experience in a fantastic location - Fantastic cottage and location. Loved the tranquility of the area but still lots of shops/cafes to keep busy. Easy access to Guildford and London as well. Just what I needed for a break I understand why more signage can't be put up because it's a public alleyway but it would have been much clearer if they just said the lockbox is at the back of the property. To access the back find the alleyway on lower church lane
- Mark (10/5): Lovely property in great location - Great location
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Central location. Plenty of eating and drinking choices with no need to drive. Car parking expensive if staying in Farnham during the day - no parking at the property
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Nicholas (9/5): We were very pleased with the cottage - Lovely cottage right in town, small but beats a hotel room hands down Self contained, nice bathroom, great location
- Linzi (10/5): Cosy stay in a central location - Great location and very handy for the wedding we were attending in town. Cosy and with everything you could need for a weekend stay. Some more comfortable pillows for the bed would have been nice, but otherwise everything was great.
- Jayne (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (7/5): Convenient place to stay while visiting daughter - Location and bedroom and bathroom. Nice little garden. It is an old cottage so it is very dark in the daytime.
- Frank (6/5): Pleasant - We had to ask for key collection instructions
None were sent by booking.com
Wifi expired 2 days prior to departure
In spite of reporting this the host did not remedy the situation which was really inconvenient
- Rachel (10/5): The sweetest little cottage a stone's throw from The Maltings where we were exhibiting. Loved it. -
- Luke (10/5): Perfect little getaway. - Very cosy, felt safe and happy inside. I love old shool houses. Was nice to cook my own food and the location was perfect.
Will book again 100% The front can be a bit loud due to vehicles and children during early mornings but everything else was perfect.
- Fiona (9/5): Cute cottage feel with modern facilities - Comfortable, tidy, modern, good facilities, walking distance to town centre. Car park very close(although pricey). Dark inside needed the lights on during the day.
- elizabeth (10/5): An Absolute Gem! - Absolutely delightful! This beautiful cottage is perfect - best nights sleep in a long time and the garden was an added surprise. The furnishings were superb and everything is catered for. Ideally located for shops, restaurants and university. If you are coming by car there is a car park 1 min away. Loved it!
