- Remei (6/5): Muy bien localizado, descuidado, mal servicio al cliente. - La localización. El anfitrión sabia nuestra hora de llegada. Entre las 8 y 9 d ela noche. Cuando llegamos no habia nadie esperandonos. Estuvimos casi una hora esperando en la puerta. Con un bebe de 3 meses.
Nos dijeron que esperasemos a que algun vecino entrase o saliese. Si no llega a salir una vecina, todavia estamos alli esperando.
En general un poco dejado/sucio. Descuidan los detalles.

- Calum (1/5): Poor communication and lack of emergency contingency plans for problems with rooms. No refund yet. - We didn't even get into our apartment. Not good enough service. We were insufficiently contacted on the morning of our booking while we were travelling. 1 phone call isn't enough to notify of a change to my booking. When we arrived and contacted asking for access we weren't responded to initially and when we were it was to say that our accommodation had been changed to somewhere 30 minute drive away. We asked if our additional travel costs would be paid for as it wasn't where we had booked and ultimately asked for a refund as they were unhelpful when we weren't at any fault. I am still waiting for my refund.

Súper sucio, cama rota, nada de higiene, olor a humedad y atención al cliente desastroso. Estuvimos 2h esperando a que alguien nos atendiera y finalmente nos indicaron que las llaves estaban debajo del felpudo, saltándose todo el protocolo de seguridad. Decidimos no hospedarnos por las condiciones que indico. Y el apartamento nos está dificultando el rembolso del apartamento cuando ni nos hospedamos ni cuidaron a su cliente al mínimo. En resumen, un completo desastre. Ni a mi peor enemigo le deseo que se hospede en este apartamento si se le puede llamar así.

Aluguei para 4 pessoas porque havia um sofá cama grande, cheguei lá e era um super pequeno porque supostamente o outro se partiu e trocaram, não nos avisaram.

We were left in the cold and the only response we got from the property owner was wait at the door till someone walks in or out of the apartment and pick your keys from under the mat. The house was stinking and there was no hot water at all. Had to use freezing cold water. You do not have a choice. The property owner ghosted us after 8pm and did not respond. Never ever book this. It is a scam. Do not trust the pictures on the site.
- silvia (1/5): Sucio a más no poder - Nada Contacté con el alojamiento por WhatsApp el día antes y el mismo día varias veces para ver cómo hacer el checkin y quedar. Me contestaron horas más tarde. Me estuve mojando en la calle durante rato porque llovía. Un vecino me abrió y cogí las llaves de debajo del felpudo gracias a los comentarios de otros clientes. El piso estaba tan sucio! La cocina era una pocilga, fui a comprar jabón para lavar platos porque me quería hacer un sándwich y los platos y todo en la cocina estaba asqueroso. Busqué otro sitio para dormir porque me daba grima estar allí.

I left after the first sleepless night. The smell of bleach was everywhere and on the bed linen. The springs of the mattress were coming through. The base of the bed was broken. The shower screen was filthy. I touched nothing in the house and slept in my clothes fearful of what I might catch. I’m still not over this visit. I left at 7am and had to find new accommodation.
Contact to access the apartment was a nightmare. I messaged them at 10.45am on Friday to say I was early and got no reply until late afternoon. I have a series of what’s app messages from then until I finally got into the apartment at 9pm. Several times the number I was told to ring was not answered. The whole experience was dreadful and a disgrace, so much so that I will stop using booking.com. In fact by rights my money should be refunded. See above. The worst experience I have ever had with Booking.com and I am a frequent user but no longer.

L'appartement ne correspondait pas du tout aux photos, pas de chauffage, pas d'eau chaude et aucune communication avec le propriétaire alors que nous avions fait remonter les problèmes. - Christy (1/5): - Nothing Everything especially the staff behaviour and attitude, the zinc was blocked, No heater, no hotwater, we haven't seen any staff there simply put the key under the mat and messaged on whatsapp to get the key. We had so many y problems in the flat tried to contact them several times didn't got any reply back .we were freezing in there, we had kids with us. Tried to contact many times, they didn't call back or even send the reply back. They received payment in advance and didn't gave any facilities.

Had to go and buy cleaning items. There was something spilled all over the floor that looked like coffee or cola. The mops there were rusted and stinky. There were other people's used towels on the bags in a cupboard, which stunk of damp they wouldn't answer phonecalls or messages
on arrival and wouldn't let us in until we had paid deposit which was not clear at all when booking even though we had a young child with us and it was dark. The close is residential and very busy with people coming in all day and night. Overall horrific experience

Appartamento veramente sporco, pavimento della cucina appiccicoso, divano letto con una sostanza bianca non identificata, sporco e scomodissimo. Il muro del soggiorno aveva una macchia marrone ed ed il pavimento sporco ed appiccicoso. La camera da letto aveva gli armadi, non per gli ospiti, ma come deposito di materiale e biancheria sporca, usciva un odorino che vi lascio immaginare, le doghe del letto erano rotte e appoggiate alla rinfusa sulla rete del letto. Il bagno abbastanza pulito, il doccino della doccia era rotto e perdeva acqua.
Starting with the lack of customer service, the rest is even worse! The apartment was truly filthy: the kitchen floor was sticky, the sofa bed had an unidentified white substance on it, dirty and extremely uncomfortable. The living room wall had a brown stain, and the floor was dirty and sticky.
The bedroom had closets, not for guests, but for storing dirty linens and supplies. It had a smell you can imagine. The bed slats were broken and lying haphazardly on the bed base. The bathroom was fairly clean, but the showerhead was broken and leaking.

- Karen (1/5): - Nothing, The customer service was non-existent. The apartment was grotty with a painters ladder stored at the front door. The "sofa bed" is 5 feet short and could only be slept on by a 7 year old, leaving our teenager in the bed with us. When we disputed this with them they couldn't be contacted by booking.com. the bedding for the sofa bed was piled in the cupboard and labelled not to open. The room was noisy from traffic and had lots of police driving past with sirens day and night. This apartmemt could not accommodate more than 2 adults. Do not recommend this place.

- Radiana (1/5): Esperienza terribile/Horrible experience - Nothing at all/Assolutamente nulla We kept in touch with the host to make sure they knew at what time we would arrive, including the delay due to the flight and traffic. The staff was rude and didn't answer the calls until we called the company Marble Apartments Ltd. No one let us, or it was there to explain to us how to get into the apartment. Once the staff replied to us by texting, they apologised for the broken blind and oven ( we discovered that the apartment is in that condition for months now)
The place was filty, the floor was sticky, the shower was dirty, and no hot water at all. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. We were lucky to find an extra toilet roll on top of the wardrobe. The wash-machine was on and full of bedclothes. The bed was broken and very uncomfortable. Also the correspondence with the host was half in English and half in Italian. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

Nobody there to let us in, it took us over 90 minutes to get in which meant we were late to our event.

We found what looked like blood on the cupboards in the kitchen.

Refused a refund apart from "not charging us for using the sofa bed linens" (only alternative being sleeping in plain view of people on the street given no curtains in the bedroom)
- Lauren (2/5): Disappointing stay - do not stay here - Terrible stay. Whilst I was allowed to leave my bags in early, and told to arrive at 11, I waited almost an hour for a member of staff to let me into the property.
The apartment is in quite a bit of disrepair. Kitchen sink is damaged, oven door is broken off the hinges, and the blinds in the bedroom were broken, with just a towel hung up attempting to cover a ground floor window, but leaving a large gap where you could see into a small courtyard. In the morning, I woke up to painters and decorators outside my window who could blatantly see me lying in bed by myself. As a solo female traveller, this is totally unsafe.
I had to leave after one night instead of the planned two, and seek alternative accommodation, as I felt very vulnerable in that room.
I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

- Frank (3/5): One terrible experience - convenient location My friend and I were not informed in advance that there would be an additional charge for garbage disposal, and the policy did not state that using the sofa bed with multiple sheets would be counted as booking a room for three people. Not only that, there was no hot water in the room at night, so there was no way to take a shower, and the hotel did not give a reasonable explanation. The overall service attitude was very bad. If I were booking, I would not choose to cooperate with them.

I took photos and complained to the host when we arrived and she replied “sure thanks”. There was no attempt to rectify or relocate. There has also been no offer of refund. I believe this apartment is being sublet from a council or housing association

They asked for a £250 deposit on a 1 night stay that a week later is yet to be returned (there is no argument that the property was left in exactly the condition it was found).
The shower was broken and there was no hot water.
They asked for extra money on leaving for an "extra linen" charge.
The place is well located, and if done properly has the potential to be nice. However I would strongly recommend you do not deal with these people.

- Martin (3/5): Basic apartment in London - The location close to Brixton tube was good. The communication with owner/staff was horrible + also their willingness to help was zero. We landed late & arrived to Brixton at midnight,they told us,that check in is only till 6pm & we have wait outside to until somebody comes into building. The apartment was dirty especially the floor. Wi-Fi was not working & water only cold,we asked immediately for repairs but no action! Also the sofa in living room was to narrow for 2 people,although their declared that flat is ok for 4! They even asked for the deposit 250£ - I refused to pay- anyway there’s nothing to destroy. I can recommend it only for very short stay if you appreciate the location. Price/night 110£ is too much by my opinion.
- Joanne (3/5): Review for Marble apartments - The apartment was ideally situation for the wedding we were attending. The apartment was clean and the double bed was comfy. Communication was poor. We had to wait outside apartment trying to contact someone to get in. Pictures are obviously quite old as the apartment is not in the same condition. Daughter 'slept' on sofa bed which was very uncomfortable (rock hard) although the apartment was clean and the bedding was clean there were ants in the living room (near the sofa bed) the Internet didn't work. The shower ceiling was black with mould. Refund of breakages deposit took nearly two weeks and a lot of 'ignored' phone calls and emails to get back, although it says it will be returned within 7 days.

- Ian (8/5): A good, well presented apartment in great location. - Good value, well presented apartment in a great location for my London office. I regularly use Effra Court when I need to stay up in town. Not applicable.
- Doris (3/5): It was distressing , annoying and disappointing especially after we had such a good experience in the apartment in Worce - the location was good, near to the venue we were going to there were no staff to let us into the building or show us the apartment. The windows had roller blinds and when we tried to open one in the bedroom to let light in, it broke. we sent an image to the marble apartment contact but had no reply. We could not close the blind after that. There was no hot water to wash or shower with even after letting the water run for a while. the bath room sink plug does not close so water does not stay in the sink and the mirror was dirty. The kitchen tap knob came off when we used it. The bedroom wardrobe was full of bags with material. we could not hang my dress or suit up. cleaning utensils were stored visibly in the bedroom and kitchen.
The toilette is loose and moves. We were worried to use anything in case it broke and we would not get our deposit back.

I was messaged the day before what time I'd be arriving, I said around 12:30 to which they replied at 12 the next day that their colleague was there waiting for us, making us feel very rushed as there was no prior confirmation it would be ok to come at 12:30. When we did arrive, we waited for half an hour to be let in despite repeatedly calling and messaging the host. The building lobby and hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. Finally we were told to knock on the flat door, where we were greeted by a very rude and unprofessional woman asking 'Well how did you get in?'. She slammed the door in our faces and didn't come out for a while before telling us we needed to pay the deposit. I did this and waited some more while she was inside the apartment, with us shut out. Eventually she let us in, where she spoke to us in a patronising way before leaving. The apartment itself was dirty. It is a ground floor apartment that looked nothing like the pictures online. The walls are very thin, you can hear the neighbours. The rug in the living room was dusty and full of crumbs. The furniture was scuffed and damaged. The bathroom had mould and the wall and ceiling were peeling. There was left over soap from previous guests. The toilet was dirty and not attached to the wall properly so would tip if you didn't sit on it right. Shower was covered in limescale. Bathroom door doesn't lock and barely even closes. Although the bed was clean, cushions on the sofa had stains. The pillows were flat and the duvet very thin. 2 windows were broken, as well as cracked and stuck blinds meaning no privacy in the bedroom, despite people walking past the window. TV remote was filthy. Wi-fi was not available despite being advertised. Dining chairs were damaged and very rusty. Kitchen tap was not fit for purpose. The boiler was very loud. We didn't use any of the cookware or appliances.

- Jessica (1/5): Be Warned!! - The location Everything else! The room was nothing like what was pictured, was dirty and had cobwebs! The bed was broken on arrival and the 'double' sofa was basically a single! We booked room 8 and was given room 7! If you book here, make sure you insist on room 8. Room 7 is shocking!
- Summa (2/5): Very poor - Location was great and the price is very reasonable considering the size. would suggest it sleeps only 3 not 4! No mention of £400 deposit, then had to chase refund up but did get it back after a week and half.
Couldnt get hot water or heating to work. slabs under the bed fell off immediately after sitting on it, floorboards broke, very dusty and cobwebby, Communication is poor too.

The bed was broken and collapsed when I sat on it ! There were builders drills left in the flat and broken blinds

- Claus (2/5): Dirty accomodation, poor communication with the organization - House was dirty, we had to wash the dishes, spoons, forks and knives before using them. Every piece of furniture was broken. Only positive thing about the accommodation is the location close to the underground.

- Luis (1/5): Bad - Nothing to say there was nothing to like, we didn't stay there!!! It was dirty full of mould, the ceiling was flaking there was dirty washing in the wardrobe, and the wardrobe was broken, broken blinds, we book flat 8 but had to stay in flat 7, which we wasn't told about they didn't even ring us to tell us the changes, refused to put us somewhere else.
Bathroom was dirty, feces stains in the toilet, urine on the toilet seat and underneath and all the cleaning equipment was let out and the house just looked generally untidy !

- Hassnain (1/5): Worst - Its was my worst booking ever on booking.com From reception to stay. We stayed out for 35 min and entered inside when some one from other apartment by chance came out. Host contacted us after 1 hr that are you guys in. Totally unprofessional.
Broken bed. Dirtly quilt and boiler noise was like train engine. Out booking was apartment 8 while on the day or check in we were informed that i changed to 7.
- Gray (3/5): With new beds, a proper clean, and a rethink of the deposit amount/admin, it could be great here. - The location is excellent for Brixton giggers. The kitchen was new, clean, and well-equipped. There were towels. Overall impression was one of meanness. The deposit is excessive, easy to miss on the website, somewhat shockingly announced on the day of our arrival, and took ten days to return. No need for the framed list of draconian rules on the living room wall - really unfriendly. There is a tiny stained sofa - not a bed as does not unfold - in the living room but no bedlinen provided despite my calling the guys and explaining the situation. My daughter therefore elected to sleep on the floor. Dining table and washbasin were not properly clean. The CO alarm in bedroom disturbed my sleep and my daughter noted a smell of drains.

- Payman (3/5): Awful! - This accommodation does not really worth the price. The lobby was awful and untidy on arrival. We had to wait for someone to open the door. No reception at all! Then, we had to get in touch with a WhatsApp number to find someone to do the check in.
The accommodation itself is old fashioned. The bed linens were not very clean. The bathroom had a bad smell, little soap was left for the guests...Overall I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone.
