Sie war eine sehr sympathische Gastgeberin. Lage vom Guest House sehr gut wenn die wunderschöne Küstenstraße hochfahren möchte. Belfast ist mit dem Auto etwa 35 Minuten entfernt.

• Brian (9/5): Stress free, comfortable retreat after a long and emotional event. - Ivy and the team made our stay very comfortable. We were there for a family funeral, it was super important that the focus was on that event, having a peaceful place to return to was essential and Ivy and team delivered that for the family. There was nothing we would feel we did not like, that is quite a string sentiment to state here? We would have liked to see a locally sourced Ulster fry predicates, but the breakfast we had was still adequate. Having family in the area, we would be spoilt on the Ulster fry they host for us.

• Susanne (8/5): Angenehme Unterkunft mit guter Anbindung an Belfast - Haupthaus mit schöner Vintage-Atmosphäre. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Zwar weniger üppig als in anderen B&B's während unseres Roadtrips und z. T. portioniert, aber mengenmäßig absolut ausreichend und eine gute Grundlage für einen Tag unterwegs. Sehr leckere vegetarische Frühstück-Alternative. Gemütlicher eigener Aufenthaltsraum für die Gäste (bis 22:00 nutzbar). Gute Anbindung mit ÖPNV an Belfast (ca. 50 Minuten), Haltestelle in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Vermieterin gab Tipps zu Belfast und für Restaurants. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen an das Zimmer nicht erfüllt, was die Ausstattung/ die Atmosphäre betrifft. Wir waren in einem Anbau untergebracht (Zimmer 1). Das Zimmer war im Vergleich zu denen im Haupthaus (dort befand sich das zweite von uns gebuchte Zimmer) weniger groß und weit weniger ansprechend ausgestattet. Die Fenster waren klein, hoch liegend und vermittelten durch die Lamellen- Läden einen Zellen-artigen Charakter. Das Zimmer war dadurch auch eher dunkel. Für zwei Nächte und angesichts der Tatsache, dass wir tagsüber unterwegs waren, ging es jedoch. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt empfehle ich aber, dieses Zimmer (twin beds) nicht zu buchen, sondern auf eine Unterkunft im Haupthaus zu achten. Haupthaus sehr hellhörig - wen das stört.

Breakfast was excellent! The driveway is very tight for the size car we had! Just park on the street in front of the building unless you have a small car.

The house is a lovely big old house in excellent condition. The rooms were spacious, clean and with good facilities. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We were asked the evening before to chose a new choice for the morning. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this guest house to anyone. We will stay there next time we visit Larne.

• Robert (9/5): I stayed one night prior to taking the ferry back to Scotland. Comfy room in a good location. I would definitely return. - Good location near to the town centre & Town railway station. Easy 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal. I had an early start, so I missed the breakfast, but was offered an alternative - I politely declined, in favour of a fry-up on the boat.

Host was always available to help. Close to the High St and train station. Would stay here again without hesitation. Nothing negative but for a solo traveller I presumably had the last room which was a twin so cost £10 more than a single room. I was surprised to find in the room information instructions to turn the TV off at 11pm for other guests comfort rather than turning it down.

Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo stati accolti con grande gentilezza da Ivy, la proprietaria, una persona squisita, sempre disponibile e attenta a ogni dettaglio, capace di farci sentire subito a casa. La casa è incantevole: curata, silenziosa e pulitissima. La nostra camera era spaziosa, luminosa e dotata di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Il letto comodo e l’atmosfera rilassante hanno reso il nostro riposo davvero piacevole. Uno dei momenti che abbiamo apprezzato di più è stata la colazione preparata da Ivy: abbondante, varia, con prodotti freschi e un tocco casalingo che fa la differenza. Una vera coccola per iniziare la giornata! Un altro gesto che abbiamo molto apprezzato è stata la sua disponibilità nel consigliarci un ottimo ristorante nei dintorni e prenotare personalmente per noi il tavolo. Questo piccolo gesto ha reso la nostra serata ancora più speciale e senza stress. Anche la posizione della guest house è perfetta: in una zona tranquilla . In conclusione, Derrin Guest House è una scelta eccellente per chi cerca un soggiorno autentico, confortevole e gestito con passione. Un grazie speciale a Ivy per la sua calorosa ospitalità – speriamo davvero di tornare presto! Tutto ok

• Geigerhd (10/5): - Wir haben die Unterkunft gewählt, da wir am nächsten Morgen die Fähre nach Schottland nutzten. Sehr freundliche und nette Gastgeberin. Die Reservierung für das Abendessen im Olderfleet wurde für uns durchgeführt – das Essen war dort ausgesprochen lecker. Die Unterkunft hatte ihren ganz eigenen Charme. Uns wurde sogar ein Zimmertausch vom Doppelzimmer auf zwei Einzelzimmer angeboten, was sehr aufmerksam war. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Insgesamt eine Unterkunft, die wir gerne weiterempfehlen können. ---
