- Redgrave (5/5): it was okay for location to get where i needed to be - it was a good room bed was a little hard and it needs to be more cooler with air circulation wasnt cool enough and no view not a lot of room for 4wds
- Ashleigh (6/5): Beautiful Town. - Location was fantastic. Meal at pub was very tasty - would recommend. Staff were lovely. Air-conditioning in room was moldy and didn't cool the room. Felt room was a little overpriced and could have been cleaner.

- Harjeet (10/5): Nice story - Everything and nature of owner They didn't extend my roof they say already booked
- Izumi (5/5): No sound proof - Reasonable price We were allocated an interconnected room with the thinnest door with a big gap underneath which meant there was no sound proof. We had to sleep with the next room's TV all night and you could hear the slightest sigh he took.
- Leearna (9/5): Comfy good sleep lovely big verandah and great view - Its an old pub...historic ..old and relaxing
No frills just homely
My second stay here Nothing I didnt like because its old
I love old
- Hill (8/5): Budget accommodation in a great location. - Price and location were excellent Couldn't ask for better. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are budget accommodation, so you will hear the people in the next room, and beds are comfortable enough. However, the pros such as location, price, and an amazing shower far outweigh the cons.
- Mark (7/5): -
- Jayne (7/5): Ok for a one night stay - Its location and value for money Basic facilities and a bed on wheels
- Natasha (9/5): Great value , clean tidy central to town centre - Central to the town centre and off the road do very quiet The bed was in rollers need a lock to stop it moving around

- david (8/5): Just what we wanted. - Spacious and peaceful.
Absolutely no complaints except we could not change channel on TV. We are constantly challenged by tvs but this one beat us!!
The food at the pub was exceptional. See above. Missed the league.
- Maria (4/5): - it met my needs and was very close to where I had to go. I could here snoring easily from next door. The area outside the room had cigarette butts throughout. Cigarette smoke by next door.
- Susan (10/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): -
- Alice (5/5): - It was good
- Eamon (8/5): -
- Kylie (1/5): Don't stay! - Nothing Advertised as 'Deluxe Queen Room'! Broken door lock, dirty, sticky floor, room stunk, missing wardrobe doors with hinges sticking out, tin chairs, stains on bench, terrible bed - refused to stay there. Manager agreed to refund our money via booking.com but have not received any refund or response from booking.com or manager since (3 requests sent).

- MURPHY brown (5/5): OK - The staff and the price. We booked this Hotel/Motel because we could get a meal and not have to go far, only to find that the Motel was 150 meters down the road. We did walk and had a meal. MY food was inedible I nearly choked!! seriously. But the staff were more than accommodating and did refund my meal money. Not that I asked for it.
The room was old and quite large but only one chair. The room had plenty of room for a table and 2 chairs. That would have made it much more comfortable. The bed on rollers we had to chase all around the room. 😀

- Verona (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (7/5): OK could do better - location excellent Long walk in the dark from room to main bldg. Room fittings shabby.OK
- Teresa (5/5): Comfortable stay, but the rooms could do with a makeover, to lighten up the experience. - The location was good, centrally located to the CBD, and shops and attractions etc. Sadly, the rooms were somewhat aged, and could have had an update?
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Rhys (8/5): It’s basic, but clean and comfortable, exceptionally well located, and excellent value for money. -
- Elisha (7/5): It was good - The bed was very comfortable No lamps, outside lights dim
- Ben (7/5): Good - Clean, affordable, good location, comfortable mattress. Pillows
Noise from outside all night eg. Banging and yelling
- Sue (5/5): Just comfortable - The meals at the pub were great It was old and a bit run down
- Kerri (8/5): Very good - Clean & comfortable unit, with carport parking. Good location. Friendly & helpful staff.
- Michael (5/5): Not great - Nothing worth mentioning Was given the wrong key. Not told where the rooms were.
Owner smoking outside the room.

- Donna (10/5): Great experience thanks easy going - Comfortable bed and good shower microwave and smart tv Need tea bags not just coffee
- Glenys (8/5): Very good - It was a really good price. Room was good with cutlery and crockery supplied and microwave There was nowhere to put toiletry items in bathroom or anywhere to put clothes in there as well. Also only one bedside tables instead of two for a double bed
- Kamboola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamboola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eddie (10/5): It was fantastic for a night - Last Minute booking and was perfect for severe weather conditions during that time when a hideaway was desperate Nothing
- Paul (8/5): Pleasant place. - Clean pleasant and comfortable Long way to the room in horrible weather
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Chapman (7/5): Good - Location Room not the same as the picture in the advertisement. Air con had a musky odour.
- David (6/5): - Its a pub
- Karin (7/5): I would stay here again if I was passing through - Wew were the only guests so it was very quiet. For a country town, it is actually a very pleasant stay, big room and very clean. Not much actually, it was a very nice stay.
- Olaf (8/5): Comfortable, clean and close to the town. - Proximity of venue to the town and comfort and facilities provided
- Julie (10/5): This accommodation was clean, comfortable, safe, well priced and easily accessible to shops. - It had everything I needed for an overnight stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The property was easy to get in and out of. The location was walking distance to the shops. The room provided plates and cutlery but no cloth or tea towel. I used the hand towel from the bathroom.
- Paul (6/5): It’s OK - Good location. Parking. It needs an update. First aircon wasn’t working so they moved us. I don’t think anyone was surprised that it wasn’t working. Furnishings are drab.
- Pearl (10/5): - Good food
Clean well equipped room
Value for money
- Kacey (6/5): Nice & Comfy - The bed was very comfy!!! The location is close to town. We were disturbed at 745am due to the flick man wanting to do his inspection.
- Julie (5/5): budget accomodation - Cost effective, easy to find bathroom not very clean
- Pithunya (8/5): Very good -
- susan (6/5): - Good, clean, old style motel room....great water pressure in the shower, large car parks and comfortable bed.
- Jenna (3/5): Poor - Central to everything. Coles and woolies just around the corner and everything you need in walking distance. Price is fair for a stop over hotel whilst travelling. It's nothing amazing but you get a comfy bed, fluffy blanket, hot shower, and roof over your head. Staff were super nice and very helpful! Was a joy to be there :) but I do have a bone to pick with whoever the cleaning lady is unfortunately.. Whoever cleaned these apartments needs to take better care next time to ensure it is up to standard. I don't know for other people, but for me personally, I found a cockroach on the bed and some kind of white stain on the grey/black sheets. I think new sheets and maybe some roach baits are in order
- Graham (8/5): Close to pub, comfy bed and air con and great staff, thank you. - Location, value for money It’s a bit tired
- John (9/5): Happy to recommend and we will stay again. - Location is excellent near middle of town but tucked away in a quiet street and just a half block back to the pub for excellent service and food. Recommend for short of longer stays.
- Glenn (9/5): Superb -
- Deanna (9/5): Overall, enjoyed our stay and is amazing for the price charged. - We liked the soft beds and felt like it was good value for money. We also liked how everything was within walking distance. Our rooms were a bit hard to find but other than that we enjoyed our stay.
- Bob (5/5): The room had no ambience but the bed was comfortable - The bathroom was clean The microwave did not work
The yellow glass windows is 1970's and awful on the internal appearance of the room
The cupboards are dark and antiquated
The bench tops are Marakesh from the 1970's
- Lorraine (4/5): Shall not go back - Window didn’t close properly. Runners need cleaning. No bedside light. Shower floor to slippery to be classed as safe. In an alley way. Parking areas need some tender loving care.
- Lawrence (9/5): the room was very central to the town not direct on the Bar - The Girl who changed us
Very friendly and professional
And the room was very central to the town Near the room, whole night
Some people were making some noises...
It was not a big issue.
- Nyssa (7/5): Recommend for value for money in Charters Towers - Location was great - actual motel is a block or two away from the pub where you pick up the keys. Staff were easy to deal with. Shower was great and towels clean and crispy Walls were very thin, no screens on windows. bed average
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (9/5): Superb - Cleanliness I didn’t like being told I had to provide my driver!s licence & that this was something all accommodations would ask for, when I had been staying at numerous accommodation addresses & had never been asked before or since. This makes me suspicious & I wonder why he asked for my licence, & I believe he copied at least the licence number, as this is an easy identification card, that can be used for illegal purposes. If it is possible I would like it deleted from the Commercial Hotel records, thank you, Christine
