- Mark (2/5): - They claim to be dog friendly but have nothing but hazards on the grounds for dogs, and a long list of citations if you break their rules. Doesn’t added citations defeat the purpose of leaving your card for incidentals? If my dog ruins something, yes, I’ll pay for it. But don’t treat my dog like a criminal before we even check in. Gorgeous area. Poorly run facility.
- Steve (10/5): - Stay here was really good. The service desk help was excellent. She was very helpful and also very knowledgable about the surrounding area. Room was very clean and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. We'll be staying here for sure the next time we visit.
- Autumn (10/5): - The Stay was nice. The only trouble was after checking in we discovered our pooch wasn't allowed in the main lodge where our room was booked. Guest registration was able to switch the booking around to another building to accommodate my pooch. It was a very positive experience. The front desk person was understanding of the mix up. If you have a pooch and book through Expedia, call the resort ahead of time to ensure the reservation is for a pet friendly room. I will book here again. The Continental breakfast was good too.

- Heather (6/5): - We got there after dark and our cabin wasnt on the property so the way the front desk person told us to get there was confusing and the road to the cabin wasn't lit up and there were no lights on in the cabin so we had a hard time finding it. Once we got in, it was clean just didnt realize we we'd be so far off the property.

Problem solved. Staff were super helpful. Breakfast was understaffed for the influx of people enjoying fall colors.

Needless to say we did not get are free breakfast both mornings. We took this very personal and we were nice to everyone. Some of the people spoke up for us and she still didnt serve us.

- Shannon (6/5): - We stayed at the property while passing through. It is not ski resort season, but we thought we would explore the area. The staff member a young man who lived up the road was very polite. We arrived late, limited people around. The short fall while booking was the restaurants advertised on property, including breakfast made to order. Unfortunately, we stayed at a rate of $145 and anticipated at least breakfast. Knowing this location is going through ownership transition we completely understand and have no complaints as we had the property to ourselves. I suggested the location to my brother-in-law and niece who are avid skiers. Hopefully, we can return to the area and accommodations are aligned with the new ownership expectations. Thank you

- Tina (4/5): - Check in was great. We went to our room which was clean and had comfortable beds. The chairlift ride was a lot of fun. That is where the good ended for our stay. The tv in our room and the staff did try to figure it out but she didn’t know how to get it to work. Breakfast the next morning was a joke. The food was not edible and they were understaffed. We could have forgiven the poor service of the food was okay. For the price we paid to stay here is definitely was not worth it.

- Michael (10/5): Excellent - will be back! - We were here off season bringing our son to school at Michigan Tech. Very friendly staff, big clean two bedroom (I snore!). We received arm bands allowing us to take a ride on the ski lift in August which was very fun. $40 vale for that ride. The breakfast was not continental - it was a special menu that was cooked to serve out of the kitchen. Probably a $60 vale given the price of most hotels. The rooms had AC even though the listing said they didn’t. Great value and we will be back.

Then around 4am it started to bark off-and-on. We had to check out a day early because we couldn't stay in that room another night. Since we didn't stay the second night, I would like a refund for that night.

- Matthew (10/5): Nicely updated and clean - With a bit of a rough start as our air conditioner wasn't working, this was a great stay. The modern updates really make this place nice. Maintenance staff was awesome getting the air going, the room was clean, bright and inviting, and beakfast delicious. A bit off the beaten path, this was a perfect place to stay for a quick yooper adventure.

This place was so nice, our view was stunning, breakfast was free and fantastic, the beds were very comfy, and my kids fought over top bunk in our family suit. The managers and staff were so friendly and gave us plenty of places to explore and enjoy locally plus free ski lift rides! We didn’t expect to stay and enjoy it as much as we did but now we are planning another stay later this year in the “off season” and I hope to get back again in winter to check out all their runs between the two hills.
- Sara (8/5): - An economical stay at a property in the UP! The resort is older, so expect some peeling paint and refurbishing. Location is great with access to hiking, waterfalls and the Porkies.
- William (6/5): - Locks and doors were flimsy. Chain lock was broken. Rooms small. But breakfast was great though
- Rob (8/5): - The name of the hotel was not the same on our confirmation, sign by the highway, or on the building. Must have changed names without changing signage three times. They had a fisg and fetch event on july 5th from 5 to 8 to ride the chairlift. We arrived at 540pm and they were done. Room was not cleaned daily and shower never got warm. One high point was the breakfast waitress was awesome and sauna got plenty hot.

- Pamela (4/5): - I paid full price in spring. There were no employees to be found. The one kind employee, Joey, eventually made it to the front desk after I called the remote reservations number. Joey was apologetic. The parking lot is a disaster. Other than Joey and the fact that the room I stayed in was very nice, the bar was not attended the breakfast hours were not convenient, and as I described previously, it was a ghost town. Never again.

Another thing - I unfortunately left behind a bag of personal items and staff was impossible to get a hold of on multiple attempts. Someone took a message for the front desk but no one ever got back to me.

- Angela (6/5): - Starting out positive, the decor was cute, it was a small place but there were many issues. If it weren't for a non-refundable stay for 5 nights, we would have checked out earlier. We booked this place out of convenience but it was not worth the amount we paid, at all. Hot hot rooms. Hot water heat and also affected the temp of the showers. Was told to either open the window. If you lowered the temp, you would need to do so below 50degrees, it would not heat up until 48hrs later. If too low or suggested on a note by the thermostat to get a space heater at the front desk. The rooms were VERY noisy. Old building, thin ceilings and walls. Only ice maker broken and had to go to the bartender daily for ice. No microwaves in the room but they had one in the lobby to share with everyone. The pool and the sauna were nice but the whirlpool wasn't hot at all. The pool area was very dirty and needed much repair. (pealing paint on the pool deck and in the whirlpool and pool. (plus mold and corrosion). The fitness center was a joke. Lots of bands and free weights but the treadmill and Elliptigo were not able to be plugged in. Corrosion and rusted. Overall, it appears this place is struggling ALOT and while the Front Office staff were very nice, we are very regretful that we selected this place. Never again.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Great value for the $ mid-week. Room was very comfy and clean. Right near slope (and close to other ski resorts). Late check in was inconvenient and they won't allow even an hour early even though they had rooms empty and clean. Worth $100 for a night though. Nice pool, sauna, and hot tub area and small bar in lounge area.

- Jesse (4/5): - When I had a problem at check in the person at the desk told me to talk to the manager in the morning "I just work here". In the morning the manager was not working. The hotel itself and the area around the hotel smells of weed and BO. The room itself was small, which from the pictures, was to be expected. The temperature in the room was 76 degrees, I turned the thermostat down and opened the window which, by the next morning got the room to a slightly uncomfortable 72 degrees. Walls and doors are thin, between the noise and the heat it was a very poor night sleep. Staff was unhelpful, room was flat out bad, pool and hot tub were nice.
