• Verified traveler (2/5): Dreadful - We only looked at previous reviews shortly before our stay and regretted our decision to book here but there was little else available at short notice and so we decided to go ahead. There is little to add to previous reviews except to say that the smell of Indian cooking pervades the whole hotel and as a result of the poor state of our room it did not tempt us to eat there. We think that hotels.com should not have this hotel in their listings.

Beaucoup de bruit la nuit difficile de bien dormir, mais le point negatif sont les odeurs de cuisine du restaurant d'en dessous qui monte dans les chambres cest vraiment désagréable obligé de fermé les fenêtres en pleine été pas cool.

• Terje (4/5): Rimelig, sentralt og helt ok - Vi var en familie på 6 og det var god plass i toppleiligheten, men det var vegg til vegg tepper og renholdet der var så som så! Badet var rent, og sengene ok. Nytt/rent sengetøy og håndduker. Hadde eget kjøkken som også kunne vært bedre holdt vedlike, og begrenset med kopper og kar. Det ligger veldig sentralt i Vevey. De som leier ut driver også en pakistansk restaurant i første etasje, så det kan komme litt orientalske dufter svevende forbi i nærområdet. Om man ikke er så nøye på renholdet, tolererer litt dufter og ikke vil betale for mye, så er det helt ok

• rodrigues (2/5): - Overall it was a bad experience. Starting with the intense smell of mixtures of foods. The elevator was not working. The room was not at all what expected really bad smell overall. The bed was broken with s piece of wood holding the foot of it. The mattress was painfull to sleep on all the springs punctured your body. The pillows all degraded dirty and smelled really bad. The towels did not smell clean at all. The window was covered with a black plastic. Worst experience ever !!!!
• lecaille (4/5): Hôtel d'appoint, sans grand confort. - Séjour familial, accueil gentil et personnel à l'écoute. Par contre hygiène a revoir. Quand nous sommes rentrés en pleine nuit vers 1h30 du matin, croisé une énorme blatte dans le couloir. Au départ, personne, avons dû laisser les clefs dans la boîte aux lettres.

• Jin (6/5): - Excellent location closed to Geneva Lake! The facilities are pretty old. If you don't mind the cleanliness, then it is good option to visit Vevey and surrounding towns. We have two young children so cleanliness is the must. Not too much contact with staff so I gave average.

• Pamela (10/5): My holiday in Montreux and Vevey. - Went to Montreux to Freddie mercury celebration, thought it would be noisy there, so booked a hotel in vevey, not so many people and just as nice, the hotel room was just wot we wanted, we had a kitchen, So did most are own food, Which was a lot Cheaper, room lovely hot showers, nice cool room, not a lot of noise if you shut the windows at night , fridge, supermarket 5 min walk, bus outside hotel to get to different places, Montreux 20 min on bus , and cost 7 CHF return , Bus To Charlie Chaplin world , 6 CHF return beautiful, paddle boat trip , 5 min walk away, loads of cafe’ bars restaurants,Icecream 10 min walk Back huts, 4CHF , Cheap I thought, Hotel was on the edge of town, flat ground to walk, No Climbing Hills, 3 mins From Geneva Lake, beautiful scenery, French Alps, Across the lake, Towels were Changed nearly Every Day , But Didn’t Think This Was Needed, wasting towels That have To be Washed. 10 Min Walk Back To Train Station . Room was clean .

• Elisabeth (4/5): - Nicht empfehlenswert. Sehr heruntergekommenes Gebäude und Zimmer. Sieht viel schöner aus auf den Fotos. Zimmer stank nach Zigarettenrauch, ein Zigarettenfilter und zwei gebrauchte Einweg-Holzgabeln der vorherigen Gäste unseres Zimmers lagen noch herum. Küchenschrankgriffe und Herdplatten waren klebrig-fettig, am Boden waren klebrige Spuren. Alles wirkte sehr schmuddelig und z.T. renovationsbedürftig. Matratze war durchgelegen. Sehr enttäuschend. Personal war freundlich.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel experience of my life! - I was debating whether to book my stay at this hotel, as I was reading several bad reviews beforehand. However, since I knew that all I would need was a bed to sleep in, I believed that it could not be that bad, as I just wanted something cheap - therefore, I thought that it was worth it. However, already when arriving to the hotel, the check in area was very inconvenient and dirty. The hallways outside my hotel room smelled horrible, and I had to hold my breath every time!! The room itself was very dirty, and I felt uncomfortable touching anything. Overall, this is without doubt the worst experience I have ever had staying in a hotel. I would not recommend this place to ANYBODY!! Even, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay - this is not worth it anything. Only good thing is the location, which is very convenient - everything about the hotel is a catastrophe. Smell, cleaning, furniture - nothing is presentable in this place!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Correct - Chambre propre dans l’ensemble malgré les odeurs de cuisine, vu sur l’arrière du bâtiment loin d’être agréable , les évacuations des hottes du restaurant devant la fenêtre piques à pigeons excréments mmmm… mobilier vétuste, mais literie convenable , quelques soucis technique mais personnel réactif et agréable . L’hôtel est quand même situé à 2 pas du lac et ça c’est vraiment top . Stationnement (payant) dans la rue et parking à 5 min à pieds.

• Egger (4/5): - Die Reception war sehr unprovessionell. Als wir angekommen waren wollte man, dass wir den Betrag erneut zahlen müssen, obwohl wir mehrmalig die Buchungsbestätigung inkl. Kreditkartenabrechnung vorgewiesen haben. Nach langem hin und her, hat man dann doch noch bemerkt, dass wir den Betrag bezahlt haben.

• Rose (4/5): - Had bus stop right outside the door to get to the train station which was convenient. But we couldn’t open the window for air as it was too filthy and unkempt, with no screens to prevent filth from blowing in. The receptionist did provide us with a fan which gave us relief. But just looking out the window was revolting. The interior of the room needed tlc. It was clean, but we felt like we were staying in a third world hotel.

• KAMATA (6/5): - C'est l'hôtel le moins cher à Vevey, donc je ne peux pas me plaindre des installations de l'hôtel. Même si c'est propre, les bâtiments et les équipements sont vieux, et si l'on regarde des détails, on n'a pas le temps d'énumérer, les portes des étagères qui sont sur le point de se détacher, les volets qui ne ferment pas hermétiquement, etc. C'est bon marché et bon pour les gens qui veulent juste dormir. Par contre les personnelles de l'hôtel étaitent très sympa et serviables.

Wc deckel und das Lavabo war kaputt. Allgemein nicht gerade sauber. Madratze sehr durchgelegen. Unter dem Zimmer befindet sich ein Indisches Restaurant. Dementsprechend der Geschmack im Treppenhaus.

En arrivant j'ai eu 1 lit de 90 et 1 de 140. accessiblite nul une marche impossible de se rendre dans la salle de bain en fauteuil car s'était un mouchoir de poche. Vieillot et literie a changer impératif, impossible de dormir et des douleurs de partout. pas de clim. Rideaux écru laissant passer la lumière

Ça manque de sérieux et de rénovation Les photos du site mettant en avant l’établissement ne correspondent pas à la réalité.
• Potvorko (2/5): - Awful experience from Check-in to Check-out. After a long journey to get there, the receptionist wanted to keep us waiting in a staircase (which they call the reception) until I called Expedia to confirmed when and how the hotel would be paid. This after I showed the receptionist my confirmation from Expedia that I had pre-paid, and showed him the charge on my credit card. But apparently it was not enough, because on his system he didn't understand the message he had received from Expedia. After pleading with him to let my toddler and wife into the room so they could rest and I would call up Expedia he relented but insisted I carry out his accounts receivable responsibilities standing in the staircase! The manager on duty was also not much help going along with what the receptionist was saying. Very unprofessional and unpleasant staff overall. Throughout the trip they kept calling me on my phone disturbing us to ask when I would pay the city tax. When I told them I would pay on checkout, they said there will be no one available at reception on Sunday, so I better pay now. When I came to pay, the new receptionist didn't want to give me a receipt for the city tax, because he said "he's always there"!! The security is not great either, as the front door is open and anyone can come in from the street and up the elevator, while the reception window is always closed. The room is dingy, old and not well maintained with dust and dirt in the corners. Terrible experience overall.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Katastrophe! - Bei de ankunft wusste niemand etwas von unserer Reservation und meiner online Bezahlung via hotels.com. Nach längerer diskusion bekamen wir unser Zimmer. Es machte den Anschein, als wäre hier schon seit Wochen keiner mehr drin gewesen. Die Luft war abgestanden, in der toilette waren spuren eines blauen Putzmitels, das am anderen Tag, nach zig Spülungen noch nicht weg war. Es gab braune flecken an Wänden, Türen und hauptsächlich an der Toilettenspülung, die mit einem Kosmetiktüchlein und etwas desinfektuonsmittel leicht ausging. Einzig das Bett machte einen brauchbar sauberen Eindruck. Es war zwar nicht bequem, aber wenigstens sauber. Wir sind keine heiklen Leute und das ist unsere erste schlechte Bewertung überhaupt. Hoffentlich bleibt sie das auch.

• Davide (10/5): - Comodo, pulito e in zona centrale. Unica pecca : il parcheggio è solo pubblico e dalle 08:00 alle 20:00 è a pagamento ma vale solo per 1 ora per cui dopo bisogna spostare la vettura e trovare un altro parcheggio.

• KAWANISHI (6/5): ロケーションは最適ですが…部屋の掃除と設備があまり - 15時にチェックインし、部屋を開けたら掃除が全くされてなかった。 布団は明らかにさっきまで誰かが寝ていた痕跡が、、、 簡易キッチンの食器も誰かが食事したまま、、、 トイレもう◯こが着いてた、、、 フロントに頼んで直ぐに対応してもらえたので、対応は良かったです。 ロケーションは駅から10分程度でスーツケースを転がしていっても苦ではない距離感です。レマン湖も近く、チャップリンの銅像とフォークが徒歩2分ほどで良かったです。 COOP、チーズ屋さん、ワイン屋さん、パン屋さんレストランなども近く、自炊、外食含めて問題なく快適でした。 冷房が扇風機しかなく真夏は辛いと思います。 隣がレストランのようで夜もそこそこ騒がしいです。

• Andrew (8/5): Two nights at Vevey - Part of a longer trip, these two nights at Vevey were enjoyable. The hostellerie is comfortable walking distance from the main railway station passing a number of architecturally interesting buildings. There is also a trolleybus option if you have heavy luggage or it is raining. Facilities at the hostellerie include a bistro and eastern themed restaurant. There are a number of these in Vevey. Our room was basic but had adequate facilities. Only criticism was the space around the double bed... there wasn't any!
