Guest Reviews
- Brian (8/5): - Decent accommodations for a night or two. Unfortunately we never met our host, but she was very accommodating of our slightly irregular schedule. No in room control of the temperature. Very limited toiletries and could not locate a hair dryer. Best to bring your own shampoo etc. Location is very handy for public transportation, and blessedly a bit away from the hubbub of old town. Parking is a problem. If you have a car expect to search for a space on the street. Also, the building sits on the corner of Moat Place and the Main Street, but the door actually faces the Main Street.
- Joakim (10/5): - Mycket bra för den som reser ensam och inte har problem med att promenera eller ta en buss.
- Jarmo (8/5): - Ihan ok
- Jose (10/5): - The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. Very quiet place. A bit out of the city centre but good well connected by bus.
- Kerstin (10/5): - The host is an absolutely lovely lady! She preps breakfast every morning (order by filling out the form in your room!) and has so many good infos and tipps how to get around and what to see. My room was very small, but sufficent. The bathroom and the entire flat were exceptionally clean!
The place has a very good connection with the local busses, several lines stop close by. It is situated in a not so attractive neighborhood right on the main street, and a Lidl supermarket is around the corner (lifesaver!).
Now the only non-positive thing- the building is kind of old. You need earplugs to shut out street noises at night and the doors keep rattling. My matress had a visible dent where it was laying flat from all the guests. Kept rolling into that dent every night, which made it a little uncomfy at times.
In general- i can recommend this place, I would come back. Can't say much about the pricing as I got no comparison.
- Filip (10/5): - very friendly
everything ok
excellent breakfast but 8.30 is a bit late for me
- Jacob Overgaard (10/5): Lovely place with top hospitality - Very nice stay in Sue's B'n'B.
We were allowed to place our luggage prior to check-in and get back later. Sue's hospitality is of very high standard.
Everything is in order, clean and nicely maintained.
Nice breakfast, we were treated like kings and queens.
When Sue found out that we had to leave early for the airport after the last night, instead of the breakfast she prepared three bags of 'survival kit' with fruit and biscuits to bring with us. See picture.
One small thing: the room was a bit small for 4 people with luggage, quite similar to other places we stayed during the trip to UK.
- Stephen (10/5): - Quiet
- Dr. Jeannie (10/5): - This bed-and-breakfast is a perfectly clean, safe, and nice place to stay. Sue, the host, is a lovely, warm, welcoming woman. She made my stay in Edinburgh Ajoy. She was very helpful with information about transportation and sites to see. I was pleased that she was my first introduction to the city of (Edinburgh).
- Yutaro (10/5): - オーナーの方がとても親切でした。駅からは少し離れている上に、中心部への本数も少ないのでバスを使うと便利です。
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really good no issues at all!. Nothing more to add.
- Bert (8/5): We enjoyed our stay! - Nice place, bus stop next door to go to the city centre. Very friendly people.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a bit confusing trying to find the property, but once I did, it was great! Super clean, cozy, breakfast was great. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved everything about it. Ive never been this looked after in a b&b would stay here again 110%
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very small room - nice host - Much too small room for two people.
Nice host and fine breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden Gem - Such a quirky little b&b where we were provided with warm welcome by Sue - who even cooked us breakfast!
Nothing was too much trouble and the place was clean and spotless.
Don’t be put off by the location. There is a bus stop right outside and will take you to the city centre for £1.70 in 20mins or an Uber will be under £10.
Would stay again when in Edinburgh.
- Lesley (8/5): Spotlessly clean property and charming hostess - Close to good bus link into Edinburgh and shops. Hostess cooks breakfast to individual taste & nothing is too much trouble.
- Charles (8/5): Great budget option - If you prefer to save money on lodging and have more to spend on shopping and visiting sites, this is a good option for you. It is on the outskirts of town (about 2.5 miles from city center), but frequent buses reasonably priced make that no big deal. About 10-15 minutes to Princes Street on the bus. The bus from the airport stops about 300 feet from the door.
- Sunil (10/5): Day ticket £4, 35 no. Bus is best. - Amazing experience
Breakfast was highlight.
Thanks Sue
