Guest Reviews
- Kate (8/5): We had a lovely relaxing time - Easy to find the house and very easy to collect keys. The house was beautiful and steeped in history. The house was clean and we had enough kitchen equipment to cook meals..
- Debbie (5/5): - Location There were several issues with our stay, not least with being given the wrong entry door code. Luckily we didn't arrive in the middle of the night.
However the owners were quick to act and do their best to resolve.
Quite an expensive stay for condition of property.
- Marga (8/5): Knus - Locatie Lage zeer plafonds
- Anthony (6/5): Decided to cut our stay short due to the inaccessibility of the shower. - Location in centre of village. Had to go downstairs and through lounge and kitchen to get to toilet if needed in middle of night. Bath sides very high when stepping in to access shower. A grab rail would have been helpful.
- Lucianne (9/5): Comfortable cottage in pleasant village - Beautiful garden and comfortable cottage. Handy to have village shop so near. Information about local history also very interesting
- Gary (9/5): Very cosy. - Cosy and easy to get warm. Very comfy bedroom and good equipment. The garden was pretty too and the pub just across the road is excellent (food and atmosphere), although it does get very busy on Saturday nights. Low ceilings: The 'warning' tassel hanging down in low doorways was ingenious, but I could have done with one in the kitchen too, as I kept banging my head.
- Angie (9/5): Magical, a truly historic experience in delightful surroundings. Thoroughly recommend. - Cute, historic, incredible location, all necessary equipment provided, gorgeous little garden. Was a bit chilly in the evening… there is a gas fire but we were unable to get it to light.
- Rebecca (10/5): Absolutely perfect. Didn’t want to leave. - This was our 3rd visit to Eglantine and we loved every second again! The cottage is so cosy and has everything you need for a perfect stay. We will definately be returning. Thankyou Julie for your fabulous hospitality once again :)
- Bridget (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (10/5): Fabulous, will return in the future - Character, location, facilities, all excellent Downstairs bathroom, but not a big problem
- Jessica (7/5): Good - Very pretty village and characterful cottage. Dog friendly and a great location. The bedroom has a huge bed which is very comfortable. Parking easy and the lovely village shop just a few minutes walk away. The ceiling are REALLY low downstairs. Anyone over average height will hit their head and you won’t be able to stand up in the shower.
The bathroom in downstairs and through the kitchen.
Dishwasher was full of mouldy plates etc and there were no tablets to put it on to clean. These were provided the following day with an apology which we appreciated. However, it meant we could not use the dishwasher as the items inside had clearly been there for a long time.
There was no shower curtain so impossible to have a shower without water going everywhere.
No loo roll provided apart from a tiny amount on the one there so take the essentials with you.
- Carol (7/5): Lovely cottage - Good location, lovely quaint cottage, comfortable bed & nice big bedroom considering size of the place, good value for money etc Unfortunately, & don’t like to criticise but it’s definitely a problem, both for guests and the owner especially as Winter’s coming.Pretty sure goes with such an old house but very unpleasant damp smell/damp feel upon arrival - felt it on my chest. We had to keep doors/windows open & fire on all the time to air/dry it out :0(
- Tony (8/5): Great time, great place, lovely village and very friendly locals. A great area for walk with the dog. - This is a fabulous, very old cottage, perfect as a place to stay for a few days. The garden could do with a tidy up.
- Dan (10/5): Lovely visit! - Quaint English village. Great pub a crossed the street. All Saints Church a must to Visit. Near Farnham train station. Great base to view attractions. Narrow roads, single bathroom was downstairs.
- Benedita (10/5): Perfect Stay :) - Very spacious cottage, great garden, very large main bedroom, very nice walks around to go with the dogs.
Clean, with everything we could need and the whole process of booking, communication and arrival was easy and smooth. na
- John (8/5): Very good - We made our own breakfast The rear garden could do with a tidy up
- Rebecca (10/5): The most relaxing week, couldn’t fault it!! - Everything! This is such a cosy little cottage. Very quiet with a shop literally a 5 minute walk. Beautiful garden with views of the ponies. Comfortable beds, already looking to book again.
- Sandra (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay - Listed property in a pretty village, very quaint and quirky Downstairs bathroom but it was what it was, husband kept hitting his head on low beams😂
- Vivian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Second time here and loved it! -
- Tessy (9/5): Superb - Lovely house and beautifully decorated. There are lot’s of things to see in the area and there is a pub with good food on the other side of the road. The host is very friendly and welcoming.
- Philip (10/5): A memorable stay in a very quaint 400 year old cottage. Absolutely loved it! -
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
