Guest Reviews
- lee (4/5): - Very basic small room in need of refurbishment, lots of worn paint , broken toilet seat and no plug in sink. The only choice for breakfast was sausage, rice and greasy fried egg.
- Olle (8/5): - There could have been a table and a chair in the room.
- Adelaide (8/5): - Great location as it is very close to the city centre.
Chambre propre. Attention aux cafards la nuit.
- Vivian (4/5): - NEVER again! The room smells musty, especially the strong smell of the molds. We got sick after 4 days. We ended up moving to a different resort for the rest of our stay in El Nido. I did not bother asking for a refund for the remaining days.
I booked 7 days, quadruple room; 2-double bed. But they gave us a double bed, a single bed and an extra mattress. The worst part was, the mattress blocked the door. In case of emergency, we can’t get out unless the extra mattress is up. The space is limited and we couldn’t move around.
The door knob needs repair. It was loose and wobbly.
I’ve been asking the staff to move us to a quadruple room. Instead they gave us an extra room which smells the same, musty and no ventilations.
Towels provided looks like rugs.
The only good thing, staff were nice and friendly.
- Roderick (4/5): - Property needs a little love and attention so tenants would not have this bad experiences. Problems with insects, musky smell in room, room needs repairs, AC on some rooms turns off/timed and waking up sweating. I would definitely not recommend.
- sampB9924TV (2/5): Worst of the worst of all the worst - Pros:
1. The hotel staff are kind and approachable
Cons:
1. The so called male "owner" indirectly accused us that we stole his "missing" aqua shoes without properly checking the shoe rock. His evidence? There's only 1 wet shoe. When he found out that his "missing" aqua shoe is not really missing, he never said any apology.
2. Door knob is a joke
3. Aircon is a joke
4. Water is rusty
5. Food is not that good
- Joaquín (4/5): - La habitación no estaba disponible y nos redirigieron a otro hotel
- Jonathan (8/5): - It had air conditioning and good water pressure. Clean lobby and rooms. Breakfast was simple but good. Wi-Fi worked well.
- Colin (6/5): Poor stay El Nido - OK for one night. Aircon poor beds rammed into the room
- Romeli (4/5): - It was a last minute booking because I got to el nido before I expected to. It’s very close to the main strip, about a 5-7 minute walk. However, when I arrived at check in they told me to “come back later” because of a black out. I asked when I should come back and they said they didn’t know. I asked for a refund so I can find another hotel (I had been traveling since 6am and was ready to shower and wind down) and that’s when they decided to turn on the generator for electricity during the black out. Then they tried to put me in a room that I did not book. When I said something they put me in my original room but there was no toilet seat. I asked for a toilet seat and was told it would be fixed. they never fixed it and when I mentioned it to the person at the front desk she said they could come the next day, knowing full and well I was checking out the next day (she literally mentioned my leaving in the morning when I walked in after having dinner). Would literally never stay there again. Glad I only stayed a night.
- Anna (2/5): - The customer service is horrible, there is never anyone at the front desk and on the rare occasion that there is they aren’t helpful. When we arrived to check in to the hotel they told us that “our room had a leak” when they had clearly overbooked and moved us to a different hotel for 1 of the 3 nights of our stay. When we finally got moved into the room the bathroom was soaking wet, the shower had no hot water, the towels were stained and the room smelt of mold. When we went to the front desk to ask about the shower being cold and the wifi they told us they would send someone to help us later, no one ever came to help. The room next to ours was being redone and the hall smelt like paint and chemicals. The other guests on our floor were very inconsiderate and were having loud conversation and playing music in the hall at 7:30 AM. There is also a small white dog that is always in the lobby which barks early in the morning and at night and it is always in the way.
- Abigail (10/5): - Very good staff, very accommodating with our requests. Thank you!!
- Jose (2/5): - The family sleep at the first floor and they make noisy starting at 4 am and the ac barely worked. I would not recommend this place
- Cynthia (10/5): Overall a good and safe place - This hotel has a great price , good plated breakfast … the first room they brought us to had noticeable smell of mould and it was visible, but they did move us immediately upon request to a larger and better room without any issues regarding cleanliness or mould.
The shower temperature for hot doesn’t work, but because it is so hot and tropical in Palawan I really didn’t mind. However, this might be an issue for some travellers.
It is overall a good size room for a very good price and the staff are friendly enough.
It is the location of this hotel that is exceptional with being walking distance to the major brand-new supermarket, as well as many great restaurants and the beach in the location cannot be beat.
Unfortunately, perhaps due to the location and environment we did witness one large roach in the room that seemingly came out of nowhere that was just walking in the closet. I cannot figure out where it came from , but that is just my report, overall it’s a good value for the price and location, the staff are friendly & breakfast was good. Very quiet at night and decent clientele, mostly foreigners and their Filipino counterparts.
- Maria Rubie (10/5): - Clean room, easy access to everything and very nice staff
- LIDER WAINE (8/5): - Overall Angelic Inn is 4/5. Walking distance to the port beach where you go to island tours and to the shops and restaurants. Staff were always present in the lobby and very attentive.
- 936hermanv (10/5): Highly recommended 2-star Hotel/Inn - We experienced excellent service, all our small problems were quickly solved. Straff very friendly and helpful! Nice room with view at mountains. Abundant breakfast, rice or toasted bread with sausages, fried eggs, or beef patties. Manager always there to see that guests were satisfied. WiFi les at top flr. As retired Quality Dept. staff member of Jap. company in Netherlands, my rating is 5 out of 5.
- petercI8811XF (2/5): Mold - Booked two double rooms arrived to be told no rooms available for us. Got moved to different hotel on fist night because they said problem with room, other hotel said they are always getting guests from there. second night given room with lots of mold in the bathroom had to argue with reception for over an hour to no avail, emailed hotels.com and got zero response so far (24 hours later) having to live out of a suitcase as I’m told they will try to see if another room is available (not holding my breath) all in all one out of ten for nice polite reception staff. Here for two more nights then going to another hotels.com location not looking forward to it now.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were friendly but we were put on the top floor right by the breakfast room which meant that we heard all of the noise in the morning. One morning we were woken up at 5:15am!! Towels were dirty and the air con didn’t work properly. The beds were uncomfortable and the breakfast was limited. Toilet didn’t flush properly and the bathroom smelt awful. Also not clean in the bathroom. Shower head was full of mould. Wouldn’t visit again.
- Paolo (2/5): - Very bad experience.
The only good thing is the central position.
EVERYTHING but that is very bad. The cleaning, the moto rent (we got injuried cause of the motos...), the breakfast service, the owner. Everything
- lauraberardi (2/5): Get out of here - We were 2 couples for 8 nights:
-1 star because we booked 2 double rooms 4 months before and when we arrived we were asked to stay all together in a family room..at the end we had one double room without window and one double room with separate beds (we booked queen one).
-1 for breakfast: everyday it get worse, first day it was good, second day pancakes ended for the rest of stay, third day they served only half toast, fourth day ham ended for the rest of stay..last day we arrived at 9am (breakfast supposed to end at 10am) and tables were empty.
-1 because they don’t really clean room, don’t change towels and don’t refill soap, not always even if you ask. Rooms are full of ants and smell of humidity. Anyway don’t forget to ask everyday to clean your room or they won’t do it!
Wi-Fi does not work in the room, hot water comes and goes and one day we had to wait 30 min because there wasn’t water.
-1 Because of motorcycles rent: DON’T rent them! I rented and accelerator release was broken, so I fell and got injured. They don’t have medical stuff, neither bandage or ice!
+1 because of the position of the hotel, it’s very near to the middle of el nido and to the beach, but noise is not a problem. Anyway there’s a big mess at the entrance of the hotel (holes, dogs..).
I suggest you to pay a bit more and go in a better hotel.
- Taneli (8/5): - Aika pieni huone.wifi signaali välttävä., vessasta puuttui peili, lämmintä vettä ei aina tullut. Henkilökunta erittän auttavaista kaikki hoituu hotellin kautta kuten retkien bookkaus ja mopon vuokraus. Ihan hyvä aamiainen. ilmastoini toimi hyvin. Hyvä sijainti. Voisin yöpyä uudestaan vaikka pikku puutteita olikin.
- TianBas (4/5): Don't stat here unless you HAVE to - The room itself does not deserve any comment, other than the lock for the room door, which was irrirating to say the least to try and figure out every time we went out. Breakfast was 'included in the price' supposedly, but what I received was cheap and lazy, so I ate elsewhere the next day. All of the female staff I emcountered were extremely kind, helpful and hospitable, the male owner/member however, tended to lurk around the lobby for no apparent reason... and even tried to arrange a tricycle for us to visit the waterfalls for 200 pesos more than what we found just outside on the street. He always seemed miserable too, which is great to witness when your on holiday!
- chriscR2913JG (4/5): We found a baby cockroach, and killed it - Cons: The Male staff member/owner had a weird negative energy, the shower handle was broken, the duvet was simply a thin sheet, the free breakfast was so poor we decided to go elsewhere and pay.
Pro's: The female staff were lovely, great location and good price
- Brian (6/5): A weekend getaway... - The location is very central. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
- Michael (10/5): - Sehr gute und ruhige Lage. Dennoch ist alles fußläufig erreichbar.
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Friendly staff trying to help out with any questions, OK amneties.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I expected the room to be a bit bigger but it was not so. The toilet and shower needs some improvement as there was a leak. The air conditioning needed some cleaning as it was not that cool, But you get what pay for.
- HANS (2/5): Worst place ever .. - Bathroom smells like urine , half of the toilet was missing , staff not friendly , nothing deluxe in this room , they even want to put us in a room without view , hotel with 20 rules for the guest , but no rules for themself , water very dirty , never again , this has to be the worst i ever stayed in the Philppines .not even 1 star is this place , no wifi in the room ..

- Helen (8/5): - Place is clean but the bathroom had bad smell. Overall it was OK
- Alfred (4/5): - Consistently below average
- got assigned a family room instead of two double rooms for rhe first night (deal which i accepted)
- breakfast was barely standard
- scooter to rent are not in good condition
- rooms weren't cleaned at all during our 3 nights stay
- laundry took years to dry
- moisture and high level of humidity all over the place
- nevertheless staff was friendly and helpful
- rony (2/5): Caution The rooms are small and not as advertised - The hotel advertises rooms 20 meters and it is not true that the rooms are small and 5 meters
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff and owner were very kind to us throughout our stay. Free breakfast and nice mountain view from our room and at breakfast (4th floor). Convenient location with easy access to tutus (local transportation). There’s a very adorable dog on the property. The owner even came to the ferry terminal to deliver something we had left in the room on our last day. Too kind of him.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Drama, ga hier nooit heen - Kamer zonder raam. Erg vochtig en beschimmeld.
Onbegrijpelijk dat jullie dit verhuren
- Brian (2/5): Rude and dirty - Service sucks, the bro in law of the owner is rude. Didn’t change the bathroom garbage can.
- LarsMartinNor (2/5): Would not recommend - Sheets and towels were not changed in the four days we stayed. Wifi, TV and Hot shower does not work. Room was very unclean. Very noisy all over in the hotel. The location is good, breakfast ok and the staff seems like nice people. Otherwise pretty horrible.
- CHA (10/5): - Staff were all pleasant and owner so accomodating. Definitely a good place to stay in El Nido.
- Kenni (10/5): Familie stedet.
- sherwinm680 (4/5): Palawan Escapade Day 3,4 and 5 - This is the hotel we have stayed for 3 days in El Nido. We arrived late at this hotel due to delay in ferry from Coron, and the hours of travel we have encountered is really tiring which is almost 5 hours ferry ride. Upon arrival, we immediately checked-in, but unfortunately, the room is very small which in my view should only be good for a maximum of 2 persons and we are 3 in the group. The photo will speak! I requested for a transfer room which is more bigger and spacious, but again, the new room is still the same, the only difference is the cabinet. Beware of their room good for 3! definitely it's not!
Also, the WIFI is not properly working.
Good thing is that, the front desk staff is still very accommodating, that despite of my complaint, she was able to manage it.
The area is very convenient for it is a walking distance to the beach front (approx 300m), canopy walk (approx 100m)
- Judelyn (10/5): Comfortable stay - The hotel have a generator in case of power outage. Our group enjoyed the pantry area as well for bonding moments at night.
- Vicky (8/5): Nice hotel close to beach - The staff are very friendly and informative, we really enjoy the canopy walk that the staff recommended us to go on our last day in El Nido,It is my fouth time visit in El Nido and i never heard about the canopy walk ..thank for that staff because this is the most memorable experience i had in Palawan
Trevlig personal
- Dennis (8/5): Very central location - It's a value-for-money budget hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. With the hotel's central location, cleanliness and free breakfast, it's hard to beat the price. It's close to everything: eateries, restaurants, mini-shops. It's also within walking distance (about 5 minute walk) to the town beach where you hop in for the different island tours.
It's not without its downside though. The room is a little bit cramped for a family of three (deluxe triple room) and the shower heater is not always working. Due to intermittent brown outs in El Nido, the owner had the water-heater shut down when the electricity is gone. You need to complain and remind the staff to have it restored when electricity is back.
By and large, we are satisfied with what we got for the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel in the centre of El Nido - Great hotel close to the beach, very helpful staff throughout our stay, the host are very friendly and look after you, couldn’t have had a better time
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel with great owners - The place is clean well maintained and the staff/owner are super frendly and helpful. The accommodation comes with breakfast wich is good. They can help with scooter rentals/boat trips and many more.
I highly recommend this place as is good quality for money.!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Cramped and weird location. The hotel entrance access is scarry and it’s hard to find.
- M (10/5): Great location! Heart of the city. Fabulous view. - No frills, no window, no worries! WiFi only on 4th floor. Staff kindly accommodated our vegetarian breakfast!😁
- Verified traveler (8/5): No Frills, but Friendly Staff - Overall it was a good stay. The room didn't get any wifi, but had a TV with cable and decent reception considering the remote location. The staff were friendly and the two dogs that stay on the premise were lovely and adorable. The staff only cleans the room when requested. Breakfast is included but you need to specify if you want Filipino breakfast (rice, egg, sausage) or else they will give you toast with butter/jam on the side and a fried egg. The hotel is in a great location for things in el Nido town. It's only a 5 min walk to the main street right by the water. My friends and I didn't come with anything booked and our flight was delayed a day. I called them, they didn't refund the night, but they booked us a shuttle from Puerto Princesa to el Nido. When we got there they were always helpful in booking the island hopping tours and a shuttle to Nacpan Beach. When we explained we had an early flight and would need a shuttle either early morning or the night before they helped us by calling the Angelic Mansion in Puerto Princesa and having them accommodate us one night with zero hassle or extra payment (Angelic Mansion has good wifi). All in all, if you are expecting a five star resort, this place is not for you, but it is perfect for some young travelers.
- vjames8 (4/5): Cramped room, sand on bedspread, no hot water, wifi only in dining area. - The room was very tight, no bell boy (guard) to help with bags up the stairs, no chair so you're forced to always sit on the bed, no hot water in the shower, and the wifi only worked on the 4th floor where the dining area is.
The bed was relatively comfortable (average), the breakfast was fine (typical rice/eggs/coffee), the view of the mountain was nice from the terrace, and its conveniently located in the city center, close to all the shops and restaurants.
- Emmareeeee (8/5): Decent place for a night accommodation - If you will be in El Nido for a day or a night, this is a decent place to stay at. Also, if you are a group of four, they have a quadruple or family room in the fourth floor. Up there, the common dining area is located with an open terrace. You can relax there with a view of the mountains/karst. It's a few meters away from the shore where you will take a boat when you are booked for island hopping. There's no elevator here. Rooms have their own bathrooms. No fridge or telephone (not necessary for me)
- Josh (6/5): Average inn - We booked our accommodation a week before our flight due to busy schedule and was deceived by the picture of the room as posted. So I'll start with those that need improvements.
Although room was clean, the comfort room is disappointing. The shower is not functioning well, no hot water, no pail and dipper as an alternative, the water tastes salty.
On the other hand, the mountain view outside the window is fascinating, the cable tv is good, the cabinet is very useful and the bed is okay for the price of 1,500 per night.
The hotel staff are very helpful and hospitable. You can rent a motor bike for only P500/day from the part owner of the inn.
Over all, we recommend the inn if you just want a place to stay for sleeping.
- 58renate (6/5): A fair deal for standards in El Nido - This newly built 2 star hotel reflects the generally low standard on offer in EN: claustrophobic rooms, smelly bathrooms, very slow wifi, scarse breakfast, optional room cleaning, etc.
However, the relatively quiet place is very clean and the owners are friendly. Electricity is not an issue and AC works. Beware that they also have rooms without windows not mentioned on booking site that sells this property (they tried to hook me up in one of those!).
All in all I would recommend staying there.
Rooms have a big flatscreen TV.
- alexpY197DZ (2/5): Crap - Stinky uncleaned room, rusty flavor water, sometimes electricity goes down, breakfast is a joke, wifi is crap, u have to go to the 4th floor to get some normal wifi, the price u pay is high but u get nothing in return.only thing was good, that the tv worked great, and discovery channel is awesome. Other then that..speachless.
