Guest Reviews
- Desma (6/5): - Great for an overnight stay with complimentary tea, coffee and chocolate.
- Charlotte (10/5): - Incredibly convenient coming off a late arriving flight. Very quick check in
- Katherine (8/5): - The pod was very private. There is a pull down blind on the door and a lock
- Shannon (10/5): - This was maybe my 5th time staying here because I love this place and it's convenience. I get a good rest in the quiet, cozy cabin. I only don't like the 9 am check out time.
- James (10/5): - Quick check-in, convenient location, clean cabin
- Henrik (8/5): - Can't beat the location for an early morning flight. It is a pod, that is well thought out but very tight for bigger suitcases that require some creativity to open and close. Very clean, great bathroom and comfortable bed. Great check-in experience and super friendly staff.
- Jyotiben (10/5): Just perfect - It’s nice and cozy, I was very tired. Good sleep.
- Robert (10/5): - An unexpected wonderful experience. Yes, the quarters are tight, but it suited everything for me. It was at the airport, it was quiet, it was comfortable. As a single traveller, it was perfect.
- John (10/5): - Super awesome to get off the plan and go straight to bed
- David (2/5): - Booked two room, two adults. Arrived and was told I only had one room. Showed the confirmation emails, but kept being told I only booked one. Went away while she contacted management. Came back and was told I did have 2 rooms, but had only paid for one. Showed 2 Yotel payments on CC and was told I had only paid once, these are not cleared transactions. Was told I could only have 2 rooms if I paid again. Take it or leave it. 3 transactions clear and a week goes by of then saying I only paid for one room and I made a new
- Kirsten (8/5): - Does what it says in the tin. If you need a bed before an early or late flight, it’s a no frills, clean, suitable option. I came in after a super late flight and it was right at the exit of the terminal and with a lightening fast check in so I as great to flop and drop. Not for those with claustrophobia.. but kind of snug.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Perfect spot to catch an early morning flight from Gatwick.
- Valerie (10/5): - Nice to be in the airport. Very convenient to everything
- Jon (10/5): - Take the lift from arrivals to the hotel. Great location for the night before a flight. Various dining and shopping in landside airport facilities.
Pod room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet.
- Pam (10/5): Safe and convenient - Very small not for large suitcases. Clean, and convenient I would recommend for anyone needing a quiet place to sleep and shower before flying out. My only suggestion would be the temperature could be a bit cooler, it was warm in my room, coming from the hot sun out.
- Jane (8/5): - One night stay, convenient and clean. TV, shower and bed. Job done!!
- Jon (10/5): - This hotel for a quick nights stay is so convenient. I step off a late flight at Gatwick south, straight into the hotel and then in morning straight onto the train.
- Peter (6/5): - did not realize room was so tiny for two people. No space to place suitcases. very cramped - not for a 6 foot tall person
- Karen (10/5): Great to get your head down for the night. - Great place if you just want to put your head down for the night as no frills. Bed, tv & bathroom in one.
My only complaint would be that the doors to the room are so heavy that was woken by banging doors people letting them slam on leaving rooms early hours.
- Chris (10/5): - 3 minutes from security, safe, clean, quiet, comfortable bed. Everything you need for an overnight prior to an early departure.
- Daniel (10/5): - Convenient
- George (10/5): - Perfect for Gatwick overnights
- Daniel (10/5): - Small but quick and convenient
- Kathryn (6/5): - Loved : Convenient, quiet, great shower!
Problems: Room smelled like a sewer, bed very short & duvet very hot
- Mr Christopher M (8/5): Gatwick South - First time stay in a pod small but ideal for a short stay. Perfedt for Gatwick South esrly flight
- Jenny (10/5): Clean and modern - Super convenient pod hotel in Gatwick airport. Clean and modern
- Catherine (10/5): - this was my first time staying in a room like this. It was very convenient and quiet. Had a good sleep before my flight.
- Mark (8/5): Simple need. - Stay as had early flight.
- Arielle (10/5): - So handy
- Jill (10/5): - Great little capsule hotel in the airport. Great for an overnight stay prior to our flight.
- Arielle (10/5): - Super clean, so convenient being in the airport. Stayed for a 6hr night layover was really reasonably priced considering I booked so last minute x
- Aimee (10/5): - Was really great to just get up in the morning and already be at the terminal. Not the cheapest stay but when heading off for a long flight it was all about convenience and lack of stress.
- louise (10/5): - It was great
- Viktoria (10/5): - It's a great place to stay after a long flight or before an early flight. within the terminal and so easy to get to.
I can only praise their staff and their professionalism and kindness.
I would definitely stay again.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location if you are on a late night arrival
- Xavier (8/5): - Very convenient for passengers travelling in the South Terminal
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great space capsule room - Great capsule room for overnight before an early flight. Bed comfy. Shower powerful. Not sure what you’d do with a large suitcase as it’s a tiny space.
- Sheridan (10/5): - Decent hotel for a quick overnight stay. The front desk woman was polite and efficient. I really appreciated how she did not say my room number out loud - as a solo traveler and a woman this is greatly appreciated.
- Zama-Zulu (6/5): Funeral - I wouldn't recommend this place especially is an elderly person.
- chris (6/5): - I have stayed here several.times, always been good, this time sit was more noisy than usual, and none of the tv channels were workimg.
It wasnt a very restful night.
It was quite disappointing
- Sarah (10/5): - Perfect for anyone arriving early hours of the morning (as I was) or catching an early flight from Gatwick.
The cabin has everything you need: compact and cosy! Very comfortable bed with top quality bedding.
Really hot water and great shower rounds it out.
Quiet and dark making it perfect for a good nights sleep. Felt like I was in a luxurious train sleeper car without the movement!!
- Melissa (10/5): Excellent - Excellent option for a few hours layover tonget a nap and shower done. Bed was comfrotable. Would book again.
- Deborah (10/5): - So convenient, located right by customs at south terminal. My international flight was several hours delayed, and I was due to catch the train up to Nottingham. Due to landing late at night, I was able to check in at the hotel, enjoyed a good night sleep, showered and 5 minutes to the train station. I was traveling by myself, so appreciated the location and safety. Be prepared, it’s a small cubby type room. But comfortable. I would use it again.
- Symone (8/5): - Very convenient when you have a layover flight!! Located right inside Gatwick South terminal .. very convenient!
- Simon (10/5): Perfect for an early flight - Check in was super simple. The hotel is about 5 mins from getting off the train. Complimentary hot drinks at Mission Control make a welcome change! Food outlets are very near including M&S so you can buy cold options and drinks. The shuttle to the north terminal is only 5 mins walk.
- peter (8/5): - booked the night before i flew to watch the england game.tv in the room was on the fritz which was dissapointing.
overall, tiny roomwith everything needed for an overnighter before travelling. staff were wonderful and there was free tea n coffee in
- Anthea (8/5): - Comfortable night before an early start .
- Cathryn (4/5): - Shower set off fire alarm
- Wade (10/5): - Great for the airport rooms are tiny but that is what they say on the tin.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great for a short layover stay, compact but comfy.
- Giulio (10/5): - Practical
- Sharnie (10/5): - Great little stop over to ensure we had some sleep prior to our early check in.
- Alan (8/5): Great for an early flight - Great little room for catching an early morning flight.
- Rosanne (2/5): - Check in time is 6pm. I arrived early and was told to check in early would cost an extra £70. Check out was 9 am. The cabin was dark and extremely tiny. Other options were available in the terminal that would have been better. Choose the other one.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Perfect for staying overnight before an early flight
- Melanie (6/5): - Location was great. Toilet wasnt clean. Comfy bed. Didnt like the green glow light as i like a dark room to sleep in. Felt safe as a lone traveller. Would have liked a kettle and cups.
- Alesha (6/5): - Very very small rent by the hour pods
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great for an early flight, slept really well and the shower was amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - There's no disguising it: YotelAIR single rooms are capsule rooms. There isn't much extra room for activities or to unpack/repack your bags, but there's a table that will fold out of the way, the bed and linens are impressively comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly. Excellent fresh air flow meant I slept great before my early flight.
- andrew (10/5): - Excellent location and facility for an early morning flight
- Andrew (10/5): Airport stay Gatwick - Have stayed in a capsule style hotel before. This was far more comfortable than previous ones. Really quiet. I ordered a breakfast which served as my wake up call for the early flight.
- Dany (10/5): - Perfect stay before an early flight. The bed is comfortable and the staff at the front desk is very friendly.
- Robin (10/5): Very good. - Perfect for catching early morning flights at Gatwick.
- aleyamma (10/5): - I have never stayed in a ‘cabin’ like this before but it serves the purpose: clean and no frills but served the purpose of clean accommodation where I could put my head rest. down and rest before my early morning flight from
Gatwicj
- Francis (10/5): - Convenient for travelling through Gatwick Airport.
- John (10/5): - Very comfy hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for early flights. - In my previous stays at several hotels right at the airport, I had not known about YOTELAir. I understand the concept and I would recommend to my family and friends; I would say that it still would depend on the individual travelers’ preferences.
If I may share my own personal experiences, the cabin was a bit cold and as the guest (I was wearing cotton pajamas) I could not change the temperature. If not more towels, at least a bath mat (customized for this hotel) should be offered. But overall I was able to have the few hours of sleep I had intended to catch an early flight.
- Michael (10/5): Very quiet - If you want a place for quiet, have a light meal and a good nights sleep, then this is it. But if you want space to spread out or to do some work, not so good.
It’s an ideal stop prior to an early morning flight.
- Nicole (10/5): - A great choice for early flights! The room was spotless and cozy, and the service at the check-in desk was excellent. The only downside was the TV signal. Would definitely recommend!
- Maria (8/5): - Not bad for short sleep before departure. A bit overpriced. Bed is located pretty high, not very comfortable to climb up and down if you need something from a bag or a shower room. Bath mat inside shower cabin could be a good option.
- Juan (10/5): - Great location, inside the South terminal. Quite a few restaurants and coffee shops within short walking distance. Room is spacious and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
- clare (8/5): comfortable practical room - Small pod room with a ledge to get up onto bed. Room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. It is for sleeping only. No room to open suitcase or sit and relax. but practical and sufficient. I have stayed here many times and it is convenient for early gatwick flights.
no fresh water access or kettle or information regarding where to find these.
- Robert (10/5): Great hotel for early flight - Staff are very very friendly and helpful. Someone at the desk 24 hours (made us coffee at 2am)
Had a very early flight, so really convenient. Easy shuttle to north terminal, as hotel is close to train.
Would recommend for a short stay, clean and functional.
- Susan (8/5): - Everything was good & clean. The double reclining bed was high, difficult for bad backs to scramble onto!! Staff nice & helpful.
- Sheena (10/5): - Perfect tiny room!
- Charles (6/5): - It was ok
- Carla (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - Very convenient and comfortable stay. Rooms were small but had everything I needed for a short stay. Only negative is you can hear your neighbours but it didn’t disrupt the stay too much.
- Danielle (10/5): Easy and convenient. - Small room inside Gatwick airport, easy, convenient.
- Brian (10/5): POD hotel - Stayed in Yotel pod at LGW south terminal and very convenient for a short nights stay
- Abi (8/5): - Easy, small capsule hotel right in the middle of the terminal, useful for an early flight. Beds were comfy and had all the facilities you need.
- Marc (10/5): - Very convenient..Nice neat & clean room
- Gary (10/5): - Nifty little capsule hotel in the airport. Convenient to stay the night for those early morning flights.
- Katherine (6/5): - This is a very convenient option for those arriving late and leaving early. The rooms are tiny but clean and perfectly functional (well, the TV remote was temperamental, but that was a small matter). The only issue I had was that I arrived around 10pm, and NO ONE WAS AT RECEPTION when I arrived. The doors were locked and I couldn’t get in. I didn’t know whether I’d be locked out all night, and there was no one to contact. It was rather upsetting. Please tell staff that if they leave their post they should have the courtesy to place a “Back in 10 min” sign on the door so we know what the heck is happening if the desk is deserted.
- PUAY GEE (10/5): Astronaut POD fun stay - Pretty nice for a overnight stay . Just wished the hot water was not spoiled, resulting that I was not able to have instant noodle.
- Darren (4/5): - OK handy for when a late flight so difficult to get home, but at price a 9am ckeck-out is silly, I've never seen such an early time in years of travel. Offering to extend this by £10 an hour just a rip off.
- Simon (8/5): - Exactly what it says on the tin… the bed is one you have to climb up into so if you need the bathroom in the night it can be a bit precarious. Very functional but if that’s all you need, it’s perfect
- Lesley (8/5): - Everything great except for hearing a lot of knocking sound from what must have been the pod next door. In the end I had to knock on the wall!
- Mark (10/5): Okay - A little smaller than expected but comfortable enough for one night and the tea was good.
- Catherine (10/5): - This was perfect for my overnight layover. Had everything I needed, including a free latte. The shower had great water pressure and the bed was vwry comfortable. Also, very quiet.
- Lesley (10/5): - Was such a neat and awesome experience. Would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presented itself and am recommending it to anyone that is there in that general area.
- John (8/5): Location over luxury - The in airport location is great. Previous day bag drop and only a very short walk to departures from the bedroom.
Almost everything you need from a room in the smallest space possible but hey we know this before we arrive.
Shower brilliant, bed comfortable but not for those with mobility issues as it would be quite a stretch from floor to mattress level even with the step for those not so able bodied.
Reception was very helpful and the complimentary coffee from there is not bad either.
- Hilary (2/5): - Inadequate lighting - almost fell down the step to the "cabin". Could have been dangerous.
- Bethan (10/5): - Super convenient hotel!
- Allan (10/5): - Really pleasantly surprised with my stay here, very clean, comfortable and quiet. With an early flight this really took the stress away for me. Plenty of places to get something to eat and drink.
- Debra (8/5): - Cabin style accommodation, close to departures and in a quiet crowd free location.
- Brynley (8/5): - Literally enough room to swing a short tailed cat but it was perfect to get a few hours sleep and walk straight into the terminal for a 4am check in. Clean functional and comfortable. Would definitely consider it for future early check in
- Tina (6/5): Yotelair LGW - Good little pod room ideal for solo person.
Be good if the shower light could be turned off so it was a black out room. That and air con kept me awake. Little noise from the other surrounding rooms.
- Grant (8/5): - Convenient for airport
- Susan (10/5): - Perfect for access to early flight
- Kristin (10/5): Affordable Quick Overnight Option - I've stayed here before in a larger room for two people. This time is was just me as my flight was delayed on a work trip. I opted for the smaller bunk bed style. (bunk bed meaning the bed is elevated and you need to climb up a bit). For me it was fine. But don't forget you're elevated higher up in the middle of the night though! LOL. There was just enough space to open my hard shell suitcase... but not all the way open. Luckily I only needed to grab out my tooth brush and a new set of clothes. I think for a flight delay or quick sleep before an early morning flight this place is perfect! But I wouldn't consider it for anything longer. I am very appreciative about the availability and affordability of this brand inside the pre-security airport terminal. :)
