• Pheiling (6/5): - The location is good, the apartment is clean and pretty well equipped with kitchenware. The washer is a plus. The location is pretty quiet. The toilet seat lid wouldn't stay up and the knees are almost touching the wall and I'm only 5'5" tall. 2 of the beds were worn out and we're very soft and uncomfortable.

• Dao (10/5): Peaceful friendly cozy lodge close to the mountain lifts. - Great location very helpful staff the two scheduled afternoon shoppjng runs were a nice bonus. Amy and Asano San (sp?) were very helpful and friendly. We arrived earlier than expected and were allowed to check in, perhaps because it wasn’t very busy. Proximity to a hotel Onsen with a discount was a favorite activity. Our apartment was very spacious by our Japanese travel standards. A free shuttle service across the street services all the ski resorts, and you could walk to Happo One in 15 min if you felt like it. The hot water for the shower doesn’t last long and can suddenly go cold but that could be due to the high water pressure (excellent) and my wife’s long showers. The mattresses were also quite hard.

The place had very helpful staff always willing to help. Two bands to take you to the station, supermarket etc. Every 2nd day they supply a cleaner to your room, and great facilities in your room are great. We even had our own little onsen . N/a

• Alexander (10/5): Exceeded expectations - Great location. Property exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and well appointed. Though the roof spaces were a bit cramped we had 3 bedrooms, very suitable for 3 men in their late 30s. The staff were very helpful and drove us to the supermarket on request or dropped us at the bus station. More basic than some of the properties around, no centralised lodge or facilities, though you did get a discount on a nearby hotel with onsen.

Perfect having our own cooking facilities for breakfast and if we wanted a home cooked meal at night. We had a rental car so easy to get to supermarkets etc but several restaurants in walking distance Didn’t have a couch which was fine as we were out all day skiing and lounged on the bar chairs in the morning but at night a couch would have been welcome, even a small one for the adults.

• ELIZABETH (9/5): A great place to stay - Hakuba Canadian Lodge was such a great place to stay for our ski trip. The washing machine and kitchen facilities supplied were just what we needed. Location was perfect, only 10mins walk to Happo-one slopes and 10mins to Rhythm ski hire store. The staff were so helpful and drove us to the supermarket and back everyday to get groceries. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and will hopefully have the opportunity to come back again. The only thing we can suggest is to have some real plates and bowls instead of plastic ones which got a bit warped when trying to microwave food.

For a family of four with children probably not enough room to relax/ read a book. If you’re planning to stay out all day and night it’s fine, but not a place to relax in.

• Akiko (9/5): 素敵でした！ - 娘の誕生日と伝えておくと、誕生日用の飾り付けをして頂きました。ケーキの準備についても事前にいろいろ相談に乗って頂きありがたかったです。 施設は若干古いです。 ドアの下の部分などが朽ちています。
