• Michael (10/5): Perfect location for a 4 night stay, conveniently located within the UNESCO heritage area. - The Hotel is a beautifully renovated group of colonial buildings and exuded charm & warmth. Full of character. The room was spacious and well appointed. Daily breakfast was substantial and our greeting was always met with a smile. A special mention of Yahfiz. Truly delightful. • Dorothy (9/5): The hotel is comfortable and enjoyable. It’s quiet and relaxing and yet close to a lot of amenities. - The uniqueness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. A lot of shops and eateries around the hotel, but crossing the road is quite challenging. Anyway, that’s the case for all the roads in Penang.

• Parag (8/5): Nice place with good staff - This is a nice boutique style hotel in Georgetown. Staff is very nice and willing to help you understand the area. Room is clean. They have tea time midday where they provide tea coffee snacks and ice cream. Elevator is slow but you can take the stairs. Rooms are small but maybe that is expected for rooms in downtown areas. There is some construction noise but they are willing to provide ear plugs

• Aaron (8/5): A comfortable stay in the heart of Penang - A beautiful hotel conveniently located right in the middle of Georgetown. It had a nice historical feel to it, but was balanced out with some chic and modern touches. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfy. There was an AC, as well as a ceiling fan - perfect for a long day out in the extreme heat! The staff were very kind and hospitable (plus being welcomed everyday by the beautiful scent of the lobby was a bonus) The room lacked some natural light. Didn't help that the furniture was all dark-coloured too. However, this is just personal preference here - there was nothing wrong with the room.

Whilst the room was air conditioned the bathroom was not and did not have an extractor fan. This made the bathroom uncomfortable to use. Also the hotel is a bit further out from the main part of Georgetown, however car ride services are easily accessible.

The building is interesting and very historic. - staff were very accomodating; we only stayed the one night and they ensured that we had breakfast (in a box) as we left very early. It was very much appreciated! We also really enjoyed our afternoon tea. Our only slight challenge was that the room was warm; otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

• Jakub (2/5): - Location is great, and that’s really it The hotel feels quite dated. We stayed for two nights, in two different rooms. The first room came with complimentary mosquitoes. After first night, we discovered the window handle was broken, so closing it properly was more of a suggestion than an option. We asked to move and, to their credit, the staff quickly relocated us. The second room, however, was directly above the dining area — which means your day starts at 6:30 whether you like it or not. If you’re planning to sleep in, bring earplugs. If not, you can head downstairs and enjoy what might be the most British-style breakfast you’ll find in Asia, leaning heavily toward the milder side when it comes to flavor. And the coffee? Let’s just say it’s essentially hot water with a vague memory of coffee.

• Dawn (10/5): - Absolutely loved this hotel! Great location, fantastic staff, really comfortable stay. Absolutely beautiful building that’s really well maintained. The room was very clean, and shower was powerful. If you are sensitive to light I’d recommend bringing an eye mask - not a problem for me but some may find it an issue. The style of the property means some light filters in from the corridor.

La camera e’ ampia, ma la suddivisione su due livelli, con il bagno più in basso, la rende poco comoda. Il bagno, inoltre, è piuttosto piccolo, decisamente sproporzionato, rispetto alla camera. La vista, dalla nostra camera, inoltre è inesistente… Abbiamo avuto un problema con l’aria condizionata, lo staff si è attivato, ma non siamo rimasti soddisfatti della soluzione proposta. L’iniziativa del the pomeridiano, al contrario, è molto piacevole ed anche la colazione è eccellente con varie proposte a’ la carte. The location is really good - about a 20 minute walk into the centre of George Town, but also close to other nearby restaurants and hotspots. There was no pool or other facilities, but this didn't matter as we spent most of our time walking around the city, eating the delicious local food.
