Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Room condition @ more than Rs.4,000. - Booked hotel near Airport @ Rs. 4000 above, I would like to tell you when I was entered in room, i can't even stay. or pay more than Rs.1000. Bed was worst. I selected option room with Wifi, but hotel said it was payable. It was like loudge.
- Rakesh (8/5): RS - Nice clean room , well kept facility, helpful staff.
Will definitely recommend the facility.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff was nice but found the cleanliness definitively poor especially for a hotel of this calibre
- srishttiv (4/5): Avoid this one if possible - We were put up at Hotel Atithi earlier this year for a wedding in Mumbai, and all there is to say is avoid this one unless you have no other choice. The quality of the hotel is poor, whether it's the rooms or the dining facility. Walls are cracked, there are bed bugs in the rooms, bathrooms are old and products (e.g. soap) of low quality, and basic amenities like Wi-Fi and mineral water come at a cost. In addition to all these issues, the hotel's security policies are also terrible wherein outsiders are given room numbers without first calling the guest in the room to obtain consent. As you can imagine, this is quite risky for everyone, particularly where kids and older adults are involved.
There is breakfast provided at the hotel between 7am-10am, which is great, but all other meals need to either be consumed at the same place for a cost OR eaten outside. No food from outside is allowed on the premises, which is fine for the most part, but what about situations where there are older adults who cannot walk/travel distances? We were travelling with grandparents and in all cases, we were forced to order room service from the dining facility, where lunch and dinner quality was sub-standard.
The only redeeming factors:
1. Staff is quite helpful and warm to deal with for the most part.
2. The hotel is undergoing renovations currently, so hopefully, they can improve their quality in the years to come.
All in all, I would suggest avoiding this one (suggestion: there are a few 4/5-star hotels next door to this one who are actually cheaper and worth the money).
- FrancoisChupin (4/5): Avoid this place - This hotel is old and quite dirty. No free wifi is available and they can't provide you any taxi. The insulation is poor, it's like sleeping with your windows open with the noise of the street.
Tuis hotel is to be avoided.
- SachinV23 (2/5): 1 Start is more for this place - It was an immediate plan and usually my company book everything for me but due to last minute rush I didn't find anything else.
As soon as you step in you know where u r.
It's a place to spend night or sure but if you are looking for comfort go somewhere else.
The price also makes a difference, please remember.
The old type keys for the door.
Untrained waiters.
Basic bathrooms.
Two small soaps only.
No water in the room.
Food is low quality, as the price.
Many small things to talk about.
Just be ready when you are going to book this
- nksurya (8/5): Guest rooms booked for wedding party - It's a very centrally located property. This needs lot of renovation to attract good clients.
Food is good but costly for the rating of the hotel. All toilet seats need some rectification. It looks like the management is keen to revive this hotel to its past glory.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - For the tariff, the overall stay was dissapointing.
- Mayank_eme (10/5): Comfortable and Convenient - Nice and comfortably convenient place in Mumbai, very close to Airport T1. Rooms are old construction though very spacious and comfortable. Restaurant serves good breakfast and meals. Overall a nice place.
- VineetBh (6/5): Very very ordinary - Landed up in this hotel due to some goof-up in my reservation with another nearby hotel. The hotel is apparently 20 years old but has the feel of a very old property. Rooms, bathrooms, lobby, all are pretty ordinary. A message at the reception desk reads, 'If you want outside food, eat it outside the hotel', (or something on similar lines). This curt print captures its service and communication standards pretty well.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Just the location is the killer!
Hotel is old....but strategically located.
- konark1679864531 (2/5): Never stay here please - Thia hotel is very ols hence zero class and facilities, bad breakfast and they dont have buffet breakfast they just ask for options what to eat, if somebody is staying for long on a business trip they dont even allow outside food, bad view from everywhere, washrooms are like of dharamshala, not recommend at all
- suprakash (10/5): A nice experience - This is an old property tucked in the neighborhood of big hotels all around. This hotel was my favorite earlier and it remains same even now; reception is good, food is good, rooms are spacious and staff are extraordinarily courteous and helpful. One day while I was waiting for the car to arrive, a guard at the door came and closed a zip of my bag instead of just pointing it out.
The hotel offers good value for many.
- 12kris (8/5): Efficient staff - The Hotel is a 'no-frills' place, with courteous staff. The restaurant is quietly efficient. The hotel might need refurbishment, but is neat and clean. The International airport is about 15 minutes away and the domestic airport just 5 minutes.
- kapvinod (8/5): Good welcome - The hotel is near the airport . Hotel provided pick up and drop .
Very welcoming team of the staff .
Good transit hotel where one can spend the night and have good sleep without much disturbance . good air-conditioning comfort .
- KrishmaB5 (10/5): Comfortable stay -great staff - Stayed there for 3nights . good location -5min from the airport .although the hotel building looks old .but we had a very comfortable stay .and the food was also good . So for work trips 8/10 . Very helpful staff .
- finicking (6/5): Out of habit - I have been staying at Atithi for over 15 years now, but now that I'm reviewing it, I realize that it's really below par.
Two pros- location, I walk from the airport and staff, extremely helpful and polite
Cons- the hotel looks quite bare, there is no such thing as decor in the rooms. The mattress is quite old and may give you a stiff back. Ac noisy. On the lower floors not enough hot water. Breakfast-sparse. No WiFi, this hurts.
Value for money just about fair.
Location is excellent if you're using domestic terminal.
- selvakarand (4/5): Requires a massive renovation! - Stayed in the hotel after a gap of about 5 years and dismayed to see that its standard and upkeep have really gone down. The entire hotel including the reception, lift, corridors and rooms reeked of moulds. Though the rooms were clean, no renovation has obviously happened for quite some time and the cots and mattresses appeared to belong to a bygone era. The only positive point was its proximity to the airport and the prompt pick-up facility available for a nominal cost. Room service was OK, and bed-tea and biscuits were served at 3.45 am and that too with a single call (a rarity in mid-range hotels now!). Didn’t dare to try the restaurant seeing the condition of the hotel and preferred to eat outside.
- Pandiabala (6/5): Average Hotel near to airport - This hotel is located near to airport other than that here no advantage and it is Very old hotel. and it is not impressive. And a room cost is around 4000 rupees. The Room rent is more than average. I stayed in this hotel only 5 to 6 hours to catch my flight. It is very disappointing. House keeping also poor. only thing we get a taxi for airport drop.
- TabrezNasar (6/5): The right budget hotel in the right place - Average rooms but quite clean and not bad in space terms. Service is questionable though. I reminded them a few times about hot water in the shower. By the time they sorted it out 3 days later, i was checking out.
- VRAMESH (4/5): Poorly Maintained - There is no advantage other than the hotel is near to airport. Very old property.
They have standard rates.
1. Only Room rent
2. Room + Bed tea + Break fast
3. Room + Break fast + Dinner
Ideal for transit passengers. Room rent is more than average. House keeping also poor. It is very disappointing that even they are not keeping complementary water inside the room
NO FREE WIFI
Not recommended
- terryjames14 (4/5): Sub Standard Hotel from a Bygone Era - The foyer was neat and tidy and the check in okay. The problems were the stale air in the passage way on the fifth floor and also in the room from carpets that have been around for too long. Bedrooms very, very basic with the major negative the wrotting wood next to the wardrobe immediately above the floor. The bed was below average. No coffee making facilities.
Checkout at 3.15am was handled by the young fellow on duty very well.
- 746gagank (6/5): Close to Airport, average and old property! - The biggest positive about the hotel is its proximity to the airport. It's just walking distance from the airport.
The property and its rooms are clean, but it is a very old property and no big renovation has happened in the hotel over quite some time.
Room service is fine, but nothing compared to a good quality modern day hotel. They have a restaurant and a bar which serves good food. Have a buffet breakfast but is an average breakfast.
- NSSURESH (6/5): For Business Trips - Hotel Building is Huge with many rooms. Maintenance of property is poor. Shabby look from outside. Rooms are spacious compared to other hotels. Televisions are old CRT type. Food and Room service is good. Breakfast options are limited.
- C8082QTrohits (6/5): Convenient - Atithi is an ideal hotel for people transiting from Mumbai . It is a five minutes drive from the domestic airport .
The hotel is a normal place to stay , but quite comfortable . It is good for a business traveller , may not be liked by families .
The best thing about the hotel is its food . It has lot of varieties , as well as ability to work on variations depending upon the need of the traveller . I was able to get healthy and less oily food made up to my expectations .
The hotel may not be a good value for money overall , but going by its location in Mumbai , you cant get anything better than this .
Overall ok hote .
