Voiture indispensab -
- Wendi (10/5): Will definitely return. - In the middle of nowhere surrounded by rubble and building sites, is a beautiful oasis that was very unexpected. From the garden, pool and staff everything was perfect.
We spent 3 nights relaxing after touring Northern morroco and what a lovely place to end our travels. Thank you to all the lovely hard working women ❤❤❤ Location, a 15min taxi, car ride from shops and restaurants.
- Bernice (7/5): Good -
- Preston (3/5): I’d avoid booking this accommodationespecially if you are expecting to have staff which are interested in your safety an - The property in nicely designed with the villas opposite the pool. There a plenty of of sun beds The rooms were not cleaned properly with us having to chase up to have the bin’s emptied. The staff don’t speak English and it’s difficult to communicate with them. There is hardly anyone at the property and they don’t seem bothered about whether the guests are comfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work in one of the rooms and this resulted in us having to move rooms causing further inconvenience.
- Mac (9/5): Superb -
- LouLou7139 (2/5): This hotel will cancel your bookings without explanation - We recommended this hotel to friends and family as an extension of our wedding party at a nearby hotel. After several of our guests booked rooms, their bookings were cancelled with absolutely no explanation!
I tried to contact the hotel and received no reply. Absolutely not acceptable to cancel existing bookings without a very valid reason.
My friends and family will now have to travel a long distance to join the wedding celebrations.
- Lestercheng23 (2/5): STAY AWAY - I had planned to stay here for a wedding but the Hotel cancelled my reservation and provided no reason. Really inconvenient as we are coming here from UK. Have followed up multiple times and no response - really poor and untrustworthy. I would stay away at all costs if you want reliability.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Barbara (4/5): Disappointing - Ok clean pool, room ok space No water to drink need to buy, internet only in one area, room not cleaned and re supplied daily with basic ie towels paper soap etc, asked constantly for toilet paper, No drinks machine or snacks place. No additional facilities to give comfortable stay. Breakfast boring always same stuff,
- Kenza (6/5): Pleasant -
- Meaghan (7/5): Good - Location was ideal for accessing the airport easily at a reasonable price. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The staff was lovely, and although they only spoke French, they went above and beyond to try to communicate with us (and our very poor French) and do what they can to help us out. Very minor things that didn’t affect our overall stay — There was a sink, and small fridge but a small kitchenette (with dishes etc) would have enhanced our stay. A few things in the bathroom were in need of repair (shower head clip, gaskets around the shower door to stop leaks).
- Youssef (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rifat (10/5): Exceptional - Aysa was very lovely and the man who open always the door was also very lovely We like all of them..
- Maaike (2/5): very poor and below expectation - the pool, although it was very cold and not un the best shape bad food and breakfast
no water in the morning, no compensation for it
we couldn’t take shower or even brush our teeth
the airconditioning started to make very annoying noises at night wich wije us up
- Laurent (7/5): Good -
- Yassine (8/5): Very good -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Good breakfast, friendly service, located a little out of town Often there were no staff available who could speak english
- Harryhl22 (10/5): Great time - My boyfriend and I stayed in a Riad in the centre of the medina for 4 nights and then at this hotel for 3 nights, it was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the markets and get some peace and quiet. The rooms are very big, more like your own private villa, the pool area is stunning and also very big! Breakfast was nice and lots of variation, the only thing is that it was quite far out of the centre (which is what we wanted), one of the employees took us to the local Carefour which was about 20 minutes away. You can cook basic things in your room or order from the restaurant. There is a beautiful cat and 2 kittens that live there (I’m not sure if they are stray or not) but they are such good natured and friendly, we fed them everyday it would be good if other guests could feed them a small amount too, every little helps! X
- Gralegav (10/5): Just lovely. The setting, the spacious rooms, excellent service. Can't fault it! - We stayed here for four nights at very short notice, as we had to abandon a terrible hotel in the medina which is another story. The hotel is 9kms from Marrakesh, but taxis are only about 150 dirhams, well worth it for the beautiful and peaceful setting, but it really is in the middle of nowhere! It is handy for the Atlas Mountains and the motor racing circuit, also for the big Carrefour supermarket, which does sell alcohol!
The hotel itself is stylish, traditional and spacious, with large suites centred around a beautiful pool, with plenty of outside space and seating. It is clean and well run, but it does help if you can speak a smattering of French. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the food is very good, particularly the breakfasts, with a mix of Moroccan and continental food, as well as some cooked choices (mostly eggs). It is very laid back, breakfast can be had late and if you do want lunch or dinner, choices are limited but local and very fresh.
I've stayed in hotels all over the world for work, so I'm quite picky when on holiday, but I genuinely could not fault this lovely place and the friendly people who run it. The only improvement I could suggest might be a shuttle bus into town, but with so few guests I can see why this might not be viable.
- Marjoleinreizen (8/5): Relax, quiet and near Marrakech - To escape the daily pushy crowd of Marrakech, Les Residences du Domaine is a perfect place to stay. Don't expect endless luxury, but the staff will do its utmost best to make your stay as relax and worryless as possible. As cherry on the pie the owner invited us, without any charge, in his sports plane to fly a small circle around Marrakech. There is still some work required to make this resort as promissing as it could be. But still, we can recommend the stay!
(We have rented a car to visite the city and the atlas mountains.)
- 555mariannev (6/5): Nice property outside of the city - This is a nice residence for people who like to get out of the city to relax near the pool. Other than that, there is not a lot to do. The man who runs the place is very nice and kind but I think he could use some help... Nice rooms but wifi is very limited.
- steve0404 (6/5): It is no longer called that but sent us there without booking a room. - Just to warn people it is now called Residence Du Domaine.
Our travel agent (Holiday Gems who booked the room through Medhotels.com) sent us there anyway without a room being booked for us.
Wasted a lot of the holiday trying to sort out problem and had to pay for the room again and over 3 months later not got my money back yet even though they admitted it was their mistake.
Hotel was ok but not really suitable for English people as only owner could communicate to us.
- AllyFlamingo (2/5): Awful experience! - "The worst holiday ever. We arrived in Morocco having travelled since 2am so ready to unpack and relax for the rest of the day to be told at the gate of our resort that they had closed down several months previously (before I booked and paid for our holiday) for refurbishment however Love Holidays was still advertising this resort on their website. We were taken back to the airport where I begged the staff to try and let me call the UK, no one would help us. We rang Love holidays several times and kept being put on hold for 10/ 20 minutes at a time in their customer services department. After several hours of trying to get through to Love Holidays the only phone picking up was their sales line by which time I was desperate as the temperature was now 30 degrees, my children were crying and asking why we were still at the airport. I begged and pleaded, whilst fighting back the tears, for the man not to put me through to the customer services department that I had been on hold to before and made him promise he would get someone to phone us back as we were stranded in Marrakech and no one would help us. After another hour of communications with customer services they said everywhere was full in Marrakech so they only had one option. The hotel we went to was old, dirty and the staff denied all knowledge of us having a reservation when we arrived - more phone calls to the UK. The room was tiny and stunk of smoke, the wooden balcony was rotting and unstable. After more phone calls to the UK they moved us to a room where there were no duvet covers on the dirty duvets and the floor was black - yurk. More phone calls to Love Holidays who said they could transfer us again the next morning. By this time our youngest child was being sick and crying through exhaustion and stress. I didn't sleep much that night through stress and worry. The lady in Love Holidays was irritable and short tempered and showed little empathy for what we were experiencing. The hotel they moved us to was clean with lovely decor. Again we all shared one room and on the first floor so not the ground floor 2 bedroom quiet villa we paid for months before. The hotel played loud music throughout the day and was an awful atmosphere, we asked several times for the music to be turned down but the staff refused. We asked Love Holidays to organise to pay for one of our evening meals to make some attempt at making up for our terrible experience, but apparently the hotel wouldn't do this. Love holidays said they would move us again but could not get us a villa that we had paid for and frankly after three days of constant negotiating with Love Holidays who couldn't give us the holiday we paid for we were sick of moving and unpacking and repacking our bags we wanted to try and make the best of our time left in Africa. We had looked forward to our African holiday for months and we had been let down and treated terribly by an apparently professional holiday company. Our children were distraught and made ill by our experience, I was stressed for most of the holiday and both my husband and I were angry. Our phone bill was £200 through constant phone calls and then we were cut off by the phone company, our transfer on the last day didn't turn up and when we rang him he arrived shouting and screaming saying he's been up all night. The last communication with Love Holidays they stated I had to put a complaint in to them, they would not be following up any issues we'd experienced and we never heard from them again. We have been left haunted by our holiday to Marrakech with Love Holidays, so no I wouldn't recommend this company ever our holiday was truly appalling"
- 425gillianf (2/5): Closed up! With builders there! - 12th march- 23 march.we are two women who thought we booked a lovely relaxing holiday! Nightmare holiday we have ever had! We booked this holiday with loveholidays! On arrival in an airport taxi, gate to property was opened by a builder! Completely empty and pool drained! We were stranded! Our holiday was completely ruined to say the least of our worries! After a lot of stress! Loveholidays ruined our total stay which was supposed to be a relaxing break! They told us after a couple of hours( after having to go to a hotel reception down the road, till they found us other accommodation!) which loveholidays said "good news you have an upgrade to 5* plus villa! 20 mins away!" We ended up 1400 meters up in the snow top mountains! In a very basic guest house! Not a villa at all! Two morrocan guys there showed us to two rooms.at this point we started to feel unsafe! Dint even know where we were! No hot water! No wifi and one bar of signal on our phones! it was so cold, we could see the snow and very misty! Most terrifying night ever! Thank god for that one bar of signals on our phone! So we could phone to get ourselfs out of there the next day! We ended up having to book ourselfs back in Marrakech in a hotel which was not the holiday we wanted! But had no choice as the situation loveholidays had put us in! Even the taxi this morrocan guy had booked us, was battered up when it arrived, his boot didn't shut and all our cases were held in by one bungee! His engine seems to be packing up at times all the way, but we made it to hotel.the hotel was like a hell hole, so noisy and food was like slop! had 2-3 hours of sleep per night the whole entire holiday! Paid out so much extra monies on top of the holiday! Which now we are going for a full refund, plus all the extras and compensation for all the stress caused! Please please check before travelling to this place! As I would not want anyone to go through what we did!
- B1176RYritas (6/5): Left a lot to be desired - - Tranquil
-Clean
-Friendly staff
-No wifi
-Middle of nowhere
-Definitely need a car else taxi will cost a lot
- Cold pool so can't use in Dec
- Breakfast Ok, just white bread, white flour chapati, jams. No fruits or child friendly option.
- Dinner served in the room, hit and miss. Kebabs were good. Couscous was horrible.
-Bring books, board games etc. Then one can pass time.
- SachaFierce (8/5): Peaceful - We are currently staying here and really enjoying our peaceful and quiet stay. It's a bit far from the centre but the staff can arrange taxis for you to town for 100dhs.
When you take a taxi from the airport it should only be 200 dhs not 400 like we got charged :-(!
We got villa number 1 and Our villa is large and spacious and looks out to the pool. Breakfast is from 8:30-11 and it's continental, breads, pancakes, chapati, fresh orange juice and plenty of coffee and tea.
The grounds to this place is beautiful and you can see the mountains from here.
The staff are extremely friendly and very happy to help, if there's anything you need, I'm sure they can get for you without a bother. There's no wifi here ( wanted to die) so it was impossible to look up excursions etc
I'd recommend renting a car BUT only if you know how to drive in these crazy roads lol
If you want dinner in the hotel, you have to let them know in the morning and you get served whatever they cook. We haven't eating here yet but we still have a few more days left.
We would definitely come back as the staff made us feel very welcome.
- roym537 (8/5): Isolated, but lovely. - We had no idea that this place was so far from the main square, and so had a quite expensive time ,going here and there. We went into the centre once and up into the Atlas mountains once. Mr Cous Cous our driver was worth every penny,in entertainment value alone ! Said our host,we were the only people there, was great, really attentive and could not do enough for us. The place is a little shabby in parts, but spacious, and clean. However the highlight, for us was the food. Brought to our room every night, and absolutely delicious. We have been twice before to Marrakech and had authentic food cooked for us in a Riad. This time the food was diverse, full of exotic flavour, and very plentiful. Apparently the lady who cooks is a Berber, hence the variety and quality. Breakfast is also tasty and wholesome, though rather fattening. If I had a permanent driver I would definitely be back, but it is a distance from everywhere. Still a lovely place.
- Soheb1 (8/5): Good Hotel but VERY POOR LOCATION!!! - You would expect a hotel reception to be open 24 hours, but not this one, we reached the hotel at 6am, but the front doors were locked, not knowing whether we are at the right place as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, we were knocking on the door and trying to phone the hotel, after 15-20 mins someone half asleep opened the door, and allowed us in.
It took us nearly an hour to find this hotel, there are no obvious signs directing us to the hotel, but after several times driving up and down the same road, we noticed a sign that was handwritten on a block pointing towards an alley way, at 5am in the morning in pitch black it could have been a scene from wrong turn the movie. we followed the sign in pitch black and after a good 3 miles we came to a wooden gate which turned out to be the hotel, again no signs saying this is the hotel.
The hotel itself was beautiful, with lovely rooms and a great swimming pool, but the location is a major problem. If you do not have a car, travelling from this hotel to the city center will put you back a whopping 150DHM per person (luckily we had a car).
Hot water is a problem, its not continuous, so after the first person, the second person has to wait for the water to heat up before they can go into the shower. Overall a good hotel but due to its location will not be booking this hotel again.
- BeijingDaze (10/5): a hidden gem - I can't say enough good things about Domaine de L'ourika as a venue or about the people that run it. They made my wedding party an incredible event that will be remembered for the rest of my life.
To be fair, it's a little hard to to find but once you;re there, it's paradise.
The villas are spotless and well equipped, the pool clean, the venue well maintained.
seriously, the most hassle free experience of my stay in Marrakesh this year, by far.
- ShariffBoolaky (10/5): 100% will be back - Truly loved this place. Traditional in every way. It was a delight. The attentiveness of the staff is what gives it 5 star quality. It's basic simplicity. No fuss. No frills. Just authentic. A little oasis. Calm. Tranquil. Fantastic pool. Great traditional food. Siad. Mustapha and Zacharia are the best hosts. Hire a car is a must so you can drive at your own leisure to the city centre. Not far. 10 mins. Will be going back. Found a nice place to escape for 7 nights at an affordable price and have the calm of Domaine and the crazy flavour of the city centre square at our own pace. Great for families and young couples. Everyone really friendly. Don't expect too many mod cons. Expect simplicity, authenticity and hospitality.
- alaaeddinem (10/5): Great - I have been there with my wife.
Only great things to say
Freindly staff, tasty food.
Actually domaine Ourika is almost 20 minutes a way to Marrakech city center, so that you need a car unless you order a private taxi 100 MAD.
- YU-SUTRA (10/5): Yoga Wellness Retreat - We will be staying for a week 14-20 Sept for an incredible time with yusutra, com. A swanky place to relax and spending some free time at the lovely, inviting pool. Looking forward to sample the delicious organic Moroccan dishes prepared using fresh ingredients from the local markets. Yoga and meditation and total wellness, how exciting!
- davids_073 (10/5): Excelent - No doubts about this hotel, people are very atemptive and kindfull, everybody was very nice ! Out room was very comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel staff, the driver were simples amazing with us

- Taoufik77 (10/5): Enjoyable place - This was my second time at domaine ourika, my villa was clean spacious and modern looking,
Breakfast was great, the staff were cheery and helpful,
For shops and activities in Marrakesh you have to order taxi unless you have your own car
I really enjoyed my stay there
