Guest Reviews
- Joann (8/5): - An older motel, but clean and convenient for our needs. And the price was very reasonable.
- michael (10/5): - Everything was great, but could hear snoring from adjacent room making sleep a little tough
- Kristine (10/5): - It was great. Just what we wanted, clean, friendly, easy click and close.
- Tammy (10/5): - It was just as I expected. Friendly check-in service and comfortable room.
- Christopher (6/5): - Room was fairly clean but it felt worn down and a bit uncared for
- Virginia (8/5): - No available cab service around the area
- David (8/5): Readstown - Nice, clean comfortable room. Excellent value for the price.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Over priced and run-down, never again - This motel is way over priced. It's just an old, run-down, street motel with hard beds, hard pillows, thin walls, bad indoor lighting, just put all around. They charged over $100 a night while it's just a $40/ night place. Never again.
- Summer (8/5): - It was a little old and dusty, but clean overall and nice staff.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Friendliest guy in the city!
- Russell (6/5): - A clean comfortable room. What you might expect for the price.
- Fran (10/5): - It was clean and it was easy to go to the places that I needed to when we were there.
- Ellen (8/5): - Thank you for the upgrade. The room was very spacious. Could hear too much conversation from people in the next room at night and in the morning. My husband loved the bed's firmness.
- Norman (4/5): - It meat minimal needs for a modest price. Temperature control was difficult. The TV remote stopped working which disabled our watching. There was a sickening odor best described as old perfume. There was also dust in environment that worsened my asthma. We expected more based on available reviews. We regretted our choice of this lodging and don’t recommend it.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The guy operating the motel was very friendly and welcoming
- Kari (8/5): Koselig sted - Veldig kaldt i rommet. Fant ingen ekstra teppe og heller ikke hvordan sette på oppvarming.
- Debbie (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay. No surprises. I will return.
- Tracy (10/5): - Outdated but clean and friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): Little Lifesaver - The host is extremely kind and made the check in process a breeze. He even accommodated a slightly early arrival which he was well within his rights to refuse. There’s plenty of parking and free amenities like AC, cable, complimentary soap, and a little coffee maker. It’s difficult to find lodging in this area and this is a great place if you’re looking to save or in a pinch.
- Teresa (10/5): Viroqua stay. - Our stay here couldn’t have been any better.
We had an event across the street at fairgrounds. There are also many good places to eat within walking distance.
- Tammi (10/5): - Everything was satisfactory
- CHRISTINE (8/5): A nice motel. - The hotel was perfect for our needs - one of the few in the area that accepts dogs! The fact that we could park right outside of our room was very helpful. The manager was very nice and accommodating.
- SUE (10/5): - It is right across the street from the fair grounds
- David (10/5): - I was attending an event nearby and chose a low-priced place … and I’m glad I did!
The Midway gives you your money’s worth, shares a parking lot with a surprisingly good restaurant and overall I would recommend it to anyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old, clean motel with rude owner - I am elderly. The bathtub was unsafe: tub floor very slippery and non-skid strips were worn; safety grab bar was knee height so I hung onto the shower curtain rail. Room air was a problem: smelled very strongly of either air fragrance spray or mold/mildew. My clothes were damp when I unpacked them later. Reservation problem: I made the reservation in March for May 30-June 3. On MARCH 30, very angry, difficult to understand person called me and asked "well, are you coming? If you aren't coming, we will bill you for the whole reservation." I replied the reservation was for May 30. Person continued to bully me, but finally said he would "check upstairs." When he returned, he was calmer, confirmed the date was May 30, said "we can do that" and hung up. My May 30 flight was canceled because of weather. When I called to confirm I would be a day late, I asked to cancel the room for May 30. The person refused. When I persisted, he said he would have to check "upstairs." Being exhausted, I gave up and said I would pay for the room. On June 2, feeling ill from the room smell, I left a day early -- didn't bother to ask for credit for the room -- and found a nice motel close to Madison for my last night.
- Kathleen (6/5): - The property was quiet and check in was quick and friendly but the sheets were dingy and stained. The room was dark and in desperate need of updates.
- Heidi (10/5): - Rooms were immaculate. Staff could have been more friendly.
- Deborah (6/5): - Fine for the cost.
