Guest Reviews
- Cristy Marie (10/5): - The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only negative i had during my stay was the overwhelmingly strong scent of the carpet cleaner used in the hallway. It was so strong it would butn your nose. I did not smell it anywhere else like that. Only my floor.
- Karla (8/5): - Clean, no problems
- Verified traveler (8/5): - .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, nice staff roomy rooms. The beds were very uncomfortable but they had nice pillows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We always stay here when coming to Salem. Consistently clean, friendly affordable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The morning staff was excellent and very helpful about letting us know we left something behind.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I didn't like that the TV's in the room where very small. Also, they didn't have the hot tub working. They didn't list this on their site when I reviewed it. It only stated the fitness room wasn't available. Every time you came by the front desk there was a sign that said back in 10 minutes. The creamers you put in your coffee were old and curdled when putting in the coffee. Towels for swimming pool were small hand towels!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice facility, kept clean. No breakfast due to covid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great 🤗good service good wifi lol and good breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and customer service was great and felt safe and no worries about my vehicle
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room and hotel very clean, staff friendly. Overall experience good but for the price paid I would say that the toilet paper SHOULD NOT thin and scratchy. TV was very tiny for room size. No bottled waters provided n room, not offered.
- Shawn (8/5): - Very clean, great customer care. Room was very spacious and comfortable.
- Richard (10/5): - Good place. Would like to check in earlier.
- Burt (4/5): - The hotel appeared to be recently remodeled and looked very nice. The staff was excellent. Due to covid the continental breakfast was only prepackaged items which was understandable, but the real killer was the HARD beds and no soft pillows. Sleeping for me was difficult.
- Tara (8/5): - The beds were too hard. They made my back sore when I got up in the morning. However, the place was super clean & the front desk guy was really nice.
- Kurt (8/5): - Nice. Clean. Well run. Good COVID precautious. Each room as separate a/c but some common air ducts.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was very clean and the kids loved the pool. The sraff was friendly. The bed was a lil stiff for our liking
- Stephen (10/5): - Spent the weekend there, was a nice hotel with friendly staff. Overall good experience with our stay.
- MICHAEL (10/5): Top notch - This is a great, clean hotel. Really nice -- like an updated Hampton Inn. Top notch. Thankful they have maintained this hotel so close to the rivers I like to fish!
- Chad (10/5): - Very Friendly Staff, kiddos enjoyed the pool while the adults enjoyed the patio.
- Iskander (10/5): - Very nice hotel, looks like new, but actually remodeled few years ago. Due to the cover, breakfast was very basic.
- Curt (10/5): Great stay! - We had a great stay, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. I know the COVID made it where you couldn’t serve breakfast so I think the price could of been a little better since you did not serve breakfast. But overall we had a great stay and would stay here again! Would recommend to friends!
- Samantha (10/5): Good - We had a great stay! The room was clean and comfy and the front seat was amazing! Will definitely stay again
- Nichole (6/5): - Unfortunately I feel as if some of this review will be negative due to the effects of COVID although I wish we would have a prior warning. The breakfast was not available as well as the hot tub not in service which was a bit of a bummer. The two ladies we came in contact with were very pleasant. The night of the 4th is July I believe there was a man working and I’m pretty certain he was more interested in lighting off fireworks than manning the front desk that night. The beds were actually so hard that we went home after one night because we just didn’t want to sleep on them again.
- Ross (2/5): You’ve been warned, watch your card! - Although the hotel itself was good, it is my belief that they took my credit card info and fraudulently sold my info or charged my info.
On Monday after staying there over the weekend, my card was charged for $902.65 to pay some mortgage company. I got the charges reversed by my bank, but this is the only place where I showed my card that was out of the ordinary.
I don’t have any proof, but this is too much of a coincidence.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was our first time staying at the hotel. I felt it was clean and rooms seemed updated
- Jeffrey (6/5): - The hotel lost the hotel.com reservation and there was no reservation or room when I got there. After looking hard, they found me a room so that is why my review wasn’t worse. I noticed there were too spots on my bed sheet that looked like blood or chocolate.
- JT (8/5): - The property was happy. The front desk lady seemed stressed with only 2 rooms left. Bed was perfect and thats all that mattered.
- Connie (8/5): Covid time period - This is during the pandemic so I called ahead to ask how they deep cleaned for my visit. They did as expected. The room was great.
Call ahead !
When I was there the pool was closed. There was no breakfast buffet - but there was muffins and juice or coffee. I was disappointed there was not more for breakfast.
- Jess A (8/5): Great hotel but no breakfast buffet as advertised - Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. Only minus is the hotels.com website is NOT updated to reflect Crossroads is not having a breakfast buffet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was good, breakfast alright.
- kev (6/5): - Rooms are noisy. Had to listen to the guy in the next room talking on his phone and he had the other person on speaker phone and I could hear everything they said.
Breakfast is a JOKE!!!
- Deborah (10/5): Highly Recommend! - We have stayed here several times. Always friendly and helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms. I do wish they had better lightning in the bathrooms. Tricky putting on makeup in low lightning. Would highly recommended this Hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The breakfast here was amazing and the employee who does the breakfast setup is an assest to this motel. She was so nice and even packed our kids up a couple snacks for the road. We came into town with a group for a funeral. We had several elementary school aged children who were loud and excited to see eachother. Despite noise complaints from our neighbors the staff were very kind. Therr were only like 5 rooms rented so it would have been smart to have moved us or the complainers though. Haha
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Kay was exceptional. She was able to do early check in for most of us, so we could get to wedding
- Jacob (10/5): - It has the outdoor channel which no other hotel I stay at has clean room could use different pillows but over all great stay
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I was so hopeful at first. Very clean and updated hotel. But the bed was simply horrible. It was the equivalent of sleeping in a prison or on a floor. It is as hard as a newborn mattress, for reference. In my top ten worst sleeps ever. Woke up with neck and hip pain. Also the hvac unit is loud and pops on constantly, jarring you as you’re trying to fall asleep. Then I had to unplug the clock because the alarm went off at midnight. Unbelievably bad.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and nice rooms. Lobby also nice. Staff very friendly.
- Roger (8/5): Nice Place, Good Breakfast; - Nice place, good breakfast, a little over priced for the area.
- Joan (10/5): Very nice! 🤗 - Great!! Will go there again...very enjoyable stay...nice staff..
- Verified traveler (6/5): disappointed but nice hotel - Chose to stay here along with another couple with our car club. We have stayed here before but this time they would only give one room a late checkout, so my husband and I had to leave hotel and find something to do for an hour and half before our car cruise was to begin. I felt like this was not right since we were told at check in we had a later [12:00 instead of 11:00] checkout then the morning of we were told we had to be out at 11:00. The hotel itself is very clean, the breakfast was plenty, pool area was used and pleasant, bed is firm with no pillow top. Wish they would of given us a later check out, two employees we encountered with this were very unprofessional about the situation and we got the feeling they just wanted to be finished with their day as soon as possible.
- Larry (10/5): Larry - Very nice. Friendly staff
- H (4/5): - Hotel was decent considering the area. The huge disappointment is we were to stay two nights and had to leave in the middle of the night for a family emergency back home. Will, the night clerk, did not know to refund our second night and promised he would have someone help him when first shift came in. We didn't have time to argue and needed to get on the road. I have reached out to the hotel twice about the refund with no response. Very poor service in that aspect.
- Megan (10/5): - It is a great place to stay! This is our second year staying there. Everything is was excellent! Above and beyond any other chain hotel we have stayed at in the past.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - hotel was clean and staff was helpful. we had an odd room where the view out the windows were the air conditioners for the building but that was the only drawback of the hotel. The town itself wasn't great as there were no restaurants open so we had to eat mcd's for dinner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Breakfast was very good.
Pool was clean. Hot tub didn’t work
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Large room. Quiet. Very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows.
- David (10/5): Always a go-to hotel - Everyone, both staff and guests, are the absolute friendliest people! Just wish the pillows were not so hard. Pool is nice and quiet. Perfect location for the non-camper that likes float trips.
- Joann (10/5): - Very clean hotel, friendly staff and good location to the Ozarks. Great complimentary breakfast too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was very nice and accommodating. Good breakfast buffet!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, Clean, good breakfast. Right in town with food and ice cream within walking distance.
- Dennis (10/5): Best place to stayrelaxing, sleep - Very friendly staff. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Pool and spa clean and stocked with towels. One of the best breakfast served in any hotel that i stayed in. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Opened as a Holiday Inn Express, so kinda the standard fare as far as that goes. AC was a little underpowered for a warm day,the beds were not comfortable at all, hard as a rock. WiFi was free and open but spotty. Room was clean, breakfast was ok.
- Jeanne (10/5): - Big town hotel feel in a small town market. Very friendly. Very clean. Very accommodating to requests. Very good breakfast. Had a wonderful stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our room had everything we could want: clean and comfortable, seating for 2 (a desk chair and a reading chair), ample lighting and charging stations, ample counter and shelf space in the bathroom, and a shower dial that's actually readable and actual instructions for the alarm clock. But the big thing I did not like occurred during the check-in process: guests are asked to sign an agreement that makes no sense. I'm not talking about an agreement I don't like; I'm talking about one that is not written in the English language. The company should fire whomever wrote it and hire a lawyer who can write in plain English that is easily understood by both guests and desk staff.
- Eugene (10/5): Good Stay - Nice clean and pleasant place to stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel was very nice and was a great location. Plenty of services around as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were so helpful and kind! The room was very clean!! My girls swam in the pool twice snd had a great time. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful. They went over the top to help us get breakfast for our family. Everything was very nice and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Television was fine. Air and heat was fine. The breakfast was not great, but it was adequate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The manager made unique arrangements around the lobby and in the eating area. It is a excellent hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The overall condition and atmosphere was great. Better than expected
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I've stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are always clean and staff is normally very friendly.
- Kathryn (8/5): - The room was, clean, modern and had a great shower. The only downside was that we could hear our next door neighbors talking through the walls. AND THEY WERE ONLY TALKING, NOT YELLING.
- Tracie (10/5): Catered to guests - My family went to Salem for opening Deer weekend. Rooms were clean, lots of pillows. Staff set up breakfast early for the hunters! My daughter loved the pool though I thought it was cold and pushed for staying in hot tub. Their housekeeping process does not lend to early check ins but hotel worth a repeat visit.
- Donna (8/5): Peaceful stay - Very good experience at the Crossroads Inn and Suites. Friendly staff, quiet evening and clean room.
Would book again!
- Kara (8/5): Clean hotel! - We wanted to stay near our canoe rental for the Current River and we were pleased with this hotel. The bed was a little firm but the room itself was very clean. There was a light post directly outside our window which wasn't ideal, but the pool area was nice and we used the hot tub both nights! For such a small town, would recommend to people traveling through.
- Mike (10/5): Clean stay - Polite workers, clean place.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Building was very nice. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.
- Janet (10/5): - I had a wonderful 2 nights at Crossroads Inn. The location was convenient. The rooms were comfortable and I loved having the microwave and fridge in my room. The business I was there for required me to pack a lunch each day and the fridge, microwave and mini sink were very handy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating
- Jackie (8/5): - Breakfast was great, the fruit, eggs and potatoes,
Every thing was very nice beautiful, clean, I thought the manager was somewhat rude to the red hat ladies and one of her staff
- Julie (10/5): - We liked the set up of the room and the breakfast was great for free breakfast. The breakfast ladies were exceptional.
