- Hazel (8/5): Overall the place was good. - I was there for 1 night, it was actually far better than I thought when I read the reviews before I went. The Room is exactly as it is shown on the picture, did not struggle with parking. The staff was so friendly. Would definitely book again. I struggled finding the place, they should have a direction board somewhere visible somewhere. But thanks to the guy who was patient with me until I find the place.

There was no soap in the showers to shower properly had a nice rinse instead
The covers, sheets and towels were absolutely abysmal -disgusting please don't do that to people who are paying you. At first it was cosy you know even the tv not working properly was fine but the state of cleanliness -absolutely non existent. The man working however was quite chill and nice though

- Cindy Megan (7/5): Review for my stay at the Lodge. - At the lodge, I liked the way the ladies, who worked during the day, served us and how welcoming they were when we arrived. Also, showing us where everything was and when I requested things, they made it a available for me. I also like the fact that the kitchen was clean and it we could use it and store our foods. I liked the cleanliness of the lodge all together. Another thing that stands out was that there was a complimentary breakfast that was made available for the guests that was staying there. Also, when you needed anything, and you contacted, the response was very quick. The beds and the sleeping facilities was really good and of a high quality.Lastly, what are also like was that the guest house did not permit alcohol on the premises. What I did not like was the night when there was load shedding. There wasn't facilities made available to provide some form of light also that same night, main gate was left open. And so anyone could come in and go out as they wished... it was extremely DARK. Considering the location of the guest house and the surrounding area, one should be more cautious if this. Also looking at the amount of rooms the guesthouse has available, the parking arrangements are very impractical. The parking space could really us4 some form of improvement to accommodate the amount of cars of the guests. The area where we slept, was the family section that's made available by the guest house for families. The middle door going into that section couldn't close and I would recommend that that maybe gets a lock in the key so that the people staying in the lower section can feel safe during the night.
- Carol (5/5): - Nothing I can say beside ur linen they are old and dirty try to change them. Nothing

- Vin (10/5): Highly recommend! - Great value stay in central Pietermaritzburg with comfortable, clean rooms, and warm, friendly hosts. Would highly recommend! This isn't "something I didn't like" rather a small note in case helpful for anyone else: the phone numbers listed on booking.com for this property were incorrect as of 25/5/2024. The team at the guesthouse are aware of it and are actively trying to get this updated but just in case anyone is worried the numbers don't work - you can try Facebook Messenger or the booking.com chat :)
- Lulu (9/5): Superb -
- Mbambo (10/5): Exceptional - Staff is friendly the place is safe and quiet
- Humza (8/5): Would stay here again if need be, good value for money. - Very homely and clean. Staff were accommodating to our requests as well. Enjoyed the cereal and tea and coffee for breakfast , complimentary. Location was close and conveniently situated for our intended purposes , which was to visit the mediclinic hospital frequently. Not all rooms have a bathroom door , so it’s a bit awkward going to the toilet with someone else in the room. Property should consider adding a door to all bathrooms. As the place was not full when we went , management accepted our request to move to a room that had a bathroom door so thank you for accommodating 👍🏻
