Guest Reviews
- Bland (8/5): -
- Shiplack (8/5): We would definitely be back again. We love the location. - We love the location. Just blocks from our son. Parking was good most times. Security was visible which is a good thing. Staff were attentive to our needs and answered all our questions. The facility needs more handicapped rooms. My wife is handicapped and requires a raised toilet and grab bars. There is only one handicapped room in the hotel but would like to see more.
- page (8/5): -
- Bette-Lou (9/5): Will be back again ! - We enjoyed the shuttle service and John our driver was excellent !
- Dean (4/5): cold, no sleep, ignorant assistant manager. - There could have been some heat in the room. When I first mentioned it to the front desk-they told me there was nothing that could be done. 3 days later again I mentioned, assistant manager yelled at me that there was heat. And there was, just not in the wing I was in. Miserable until I got a portable heater in my room.
- Dale (7/5): - Good location. Secure parking for a price The first night no heat. Second nite breaker went. Room next door was using a space heater for heat which blew breakers in both rooms. The attendant who came indicated that the thermostat markings were no use. Hotel should upgrade these thermos. Pillows were way to hard
- Myrna (5/5): Mediocre - Dining and pub outside
Closeness to river walking We stayed on lower floor that needs renovating
New paint, and chair smell in hallway
- Laurie (8/5): Pleasant staff, comfortable stay - Close to my appts A little hard to access
- Kayla (4/5): -
- Mykhailo (10/5): -
- Tim (6/5): - Ok
- Emilly (8/5): - The pros of staying in the West Wing are for sure the price considering the room and bathroom are pretty good. The room was a little stale when I arrived but I kept the window open during the day which helped make the room more fresh. They were doing Renos all summer so the hotel in general smelled a bit like paint in areas but the construction is finishing up soon they said.
However I hesitate to stay here again (West Wing specifically) just because the doors in the West Wing slam shut which you can hear from down the hall. The sound proofing in general was not great and could be better. I heard doors slamming as late as midnight and as early as 6am making it harder to get a good sleep.
But the room was clean and the location is pretty decent so if you’re a hard sleeper or don’t mind noise then I would recommend this place for a budget friendly stay.
- Lindsay (8/5): - Clean room. Nice areas nearby to walk a dog.
- Gino (8/5): - Hotel is good. Not too many shops near hotel. Well none what so ever.
- Brenda (8/5): - Property and service was good. However, the older wing of the hotel needs a refresh. Beds, linens, and cleanliness was good in the room itself.
- Harvey (8/5): - Room very cold but got a heater. Room very dark. Windows to high to see out. No assists in bathtub. Felt like we were in a dark basement room.
- Vicki (10/5): - There is nowhere to park other than in the hotels lot which you have to pay for. $15 each car. Wasnt expecting that. Also pool was closed.
- Darlene (6/5): - Convenient location but pet friendly rooms are dated and obstructed view over back alley
- Kelsie (8/5): - The staff were absolutely lovely!
They kindly moved our room from the old building (which is quite a bit dated and sad-feeling) to the new one for only $20 more. I do wish parking was included, but overall it was a great room and I love the walkability of the location!
- Raji (8/5): - Checkin was efficient and room was comfortable
- Roy (8/5): - Room was good and clean.
Parking was difficult. Noticed later that I had been charged extra for parking despite that I was told at checkin that parking was free.
Restaurant was great but expensive. The parking area was dirty with various strange characters lurking around.
- Regina (10/5): - So beautiful around the river beautiful walking trail
But way to many homeless drug addicts
- Paul (10/5): - Very friendly & professional front desk, check in clerk
- Tracy (10/5): - We had a very nice time at the hotel.
- Barry (8/5): - Very nice
- Ijeoma (8/5): - The shuttle drivers that takes people around
- Dwayne (8/5): - Good value in an older wing of the hotel, yet clean and pleasant rooms.
- Cheryl (10/5): - I booked this property because of the location to the children's hospital and it having a pool and hot tub. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance but I didn't know that until I had booked. They did offer passes and a shuttle to the city pools, which was a nice touch. Very nice, modern rooms.
- Amber (8/5): - Great staff, wonderful restaurant. Great to have secure parking.
- Kennedy (2/5): - I really do not recommend this hotel.
1. The staff are very rude and snarky
2. The hotel keys stopped working 6 times and the staff kept getting more and more rude everytime I had to go back to get the cards fixed
3. The Irish pub connected to the hotel brings a lot of people not staying at the hotel. Very drunk and obligerant
4. Zero noise reduction. You could hear full conversations from people all the way down the hall. When an outside door would slam closed it would shake the hotel door, hotel doors slam shut, waking everyone up
5. Good luck trying to find parking. I have stayed at lots of hotels and never have they made you pay for parking. $15 a day for outside parking and $25 for inside parking. There is little to no parking outside so if you don’t happen to be lucky and find a spot you have to pay to get the inside parking.
6. They place an extremely large hold on your card. My stay was only $270 for the 2 nights and I got a hold of $500!! That won’t be refunded for 2-3 business days
So overall, I would strongly recommend not staying at the park town hotel. The old or new building. I had friends stay in the new portion the same stay as us and they had all the same complaints. Save your money and book elsewhere
- Ron (8/5): - Only two complaints with the stay. One was a persistent and fairly loud humming sound coming from the floors below. Unfortunately, this was at a time of day when I was trying to get some sleep.
The second was paying $5 for a cup of coffee to go at the restaurant. The price was given to me after I ordered the coffee to go. This is a ridiculous price for anyone to pay for a mediocre coffee presented in a paper cup. Apparently there are no prices breaks even for guests at the hotel. Why is the charge so high?
- Jessica (6/5): - When I arrived I was given a room that had stains on the carpet, bed spread and bed skirk and areas of the room were really dusty. Overall it felt dank and gross but I had a very early flight and decided it wasn't worth complaining. A dog was barking non stop for an hour so I finally called the front desk. A half hour later I went to the desk to see if anything was being done. The woman was very nice and apologetic. They moved me to the tower which was so much better. It was newly renovated, clean, had complimentary items not in my other room. I assume they charge the same price for these rooms which is outrageous given how different they were.
- Michael (4/5): - The water here is awful - feels like a slippery seal - can’t wash anything off, leaves a soapy feeling on your body. Room ac could not go below 23 degrees - was put in the old part, like peasants and charged full rate.
Very disappointed in how this hotel has been maintained, the water quality and the overall comfort. Would not recommend !!!!
- Lesley (10/5): - As a guest at West Wing I appreciated being able to share the facilities available for the main hotel. The terrace is such a beautiful, peaceful place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just to watch the world go by.
Tracey in the restaurant was a delight and Roob
- ELIZABETH GAYE (8/5): - RESTAURANT WAS GOOD.
THE YOUNG LADY DRIVING THE SHUTTLE WHO MET US AT THE AIRPORT WAS EXCELLENT.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE GUY WITH THE CENTRE PARTING WAS EXCELLENT.
SORRY, DON'T KNOW THEIR NAMES! LOW TOILET SEAT.
FELT LIKE A BASEMENT ROOM.
SHUTTLE WAS A BIT HIT OR MISS - AS ON A PREVIOUS VISIT.
- Kenneth (6/5): - No
- Kayode (10/5): - Clean and desent
- Jayme (8/5): - Around the building from the outside could be cleaned up better. Other than that I don't have anything bad to say about it. it was nice and quiet and we had a great nights sleep.
- Thomas (5/5): - Location and concierge were good Room was in need of renovation and maintenance, pool closed
- Dennis (4/5): - The west room they booked us in was smelling and unclean.
- Dawn (10/5): - Beautiful as long as you stay in the new part
- Clint (8/5): -
- Clare (7/5): Great choice for a downtown stay in Saskatoon - The location. A great view of the river area along with the closeness of where I needed to be later that day. There was an additional charge of $100 for "incidentals" I never had to do this the last time I stayed there. What counts as incidentals?. I would be good if there was another elevator for the west wing, The carts were not able to be taken downstairs to that section of the hotel
- Guest (9/5): -
- Nasiba (6/5): - There was no way to control the room temperature, either it was extremely cold or extremely hot.
- Kyla (10/5): - Orignal room AC wasnt working and they upgraded us to a differnt room. Staff was wonderdul and friendly...room was amazing!
- Wayne (10/5): - This is a wonderful hotel which has been remodeled and is close to city hospital, the university and numerous restaurants. It is spotlessly clean and our room was upgraded without us requesting and no extra charge. We will be back. The price was excellent however a heads up that you are charged $15 for parking on top of the room rate.
- Cindy (10/5): - Just realy enjoyed our stay.
- Faycal (8/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Very nice place
- Robert (10/5): - The staff (especially the lady who checked us in) were very nice and helpful.
The area in the back, closer to the "older" property was not inviting. It seemed to have a lot of garbage and was in poor condition. Not a great first impression. Certainly appreciated the staff who offered to upgrade us to the "modern" part - much nicer. Too bad, it still cost an additional $15 - especially when the capacity was very low.
- Lee (6/5): - Good
- Darrel (6/5): Room temperature not comfortable - The stay was abit disappointing because our room was quite hot & wouldn’t cool down. We were allowed to change rooms but it was no better unfortunately.
I wish they would have given us a credit of some sort because of this.
- ROBERT (6/5): - Great staff, but room was part of the original motel, outdated
I appreciated the covered parking
- Andria (10/5): - We stayed in the renovated rooms. Beautiful view, beds were like sleeping in clouds.
- Camryn (10/5): - food was amazing, staff was friendly and helpful, really liked the gym
- Pedro (10/5): - Beautiful area and atmosphere. Our room was in the old non-renovated part of the property which had a different vibe but was clean
- Jenny (10/5): Stay here just for the comfy bed! - Great stay, the bed and the pillow were the most comfortable I have slept on in a while. Best night's sleep ever!
- David (8/5): Fantastic hotel! Perfect location! - Great hotel located adjacent to the river with walking paths and near many downtown amenities. Secured parking, very good onsite restaurant (staff and food were both fantastic!). Room looked to be recently renovated and bed was comfortable. WIFI signal was strong. I stayed in what appeared to be an older wing. Common areas would benefit from better lighting and new carpet. Only minor issue with loud people in the hall in the middle of the night. Can happen anywhere and not the fault of the hotel but perhaps a posted quiet time might be posted. Overall a great stay and would stay there again!
- Kevin (8/5): - The parking became confusing. And the AC was loud. But otherwise a good stay
- sheila (9/5): -
- Dan (8/5): - The temperature in the room wasn’t working
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not a comfortable ar - The room was.. Okay. Very small but served its purpose. The area and parking were uncomfortable. I was surprised our vehicle didn't get broken into, I did not feel safe going from my car to the room at night. Parking was in a back alley and there were people roaming, loitering and digging through garbages.
- David (8/5): - The only reason the rating was good and not excellent was due to the fact that three weeks ago I also stayed at the hotel and the ice machine on the second floor in the west wing was not working. This stay also included a non functioning ice machine on the second floor of the west wing. ( the same ice machine ).
- Pamela (8/5): - The hotel lobby was beautiful. Room was basic and wifi didn’t connect.
- Florette (8/5): - The shower was very spacious and very well kept. Mattress was very comfortable. Although I appreciated the guarded parking, a $15 fee for parking was somewhat overpriced.
- Daniel (10/5): - Restaurant is very good, with gluten free options including dessert. Yay! Location near the riverside trails allowed us to walk for hours. Security by the parking lot was reassuring. It is being renovated but we did not need anything except bed and food
- Blake (10/5): - Excellent staff, awesome room with view, breakfast best ever
- Jibola Alamu (5/5): - Close to a park So many sketchy smokers at the entrance
Hairs in room, on the telephone and in the bathroom.
Rude security
- Ronald (10/5): - The staff was very helpful and courteous and the security guard was very helpful, the room was very clean and a great view and the price was very affordable, we enjoyed our stay.
- Katherine (10/5): - This is a lovely location thst is very convenient to get to places downtown or at the university. The rooms are very comfortable. The onsite restaurant is excellent.
- Norman (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Chris (6/5): - About the only thing I didn’t like was noise coming from other occupants during the night including slamming of room doors.
- Norman (10/5): - Clean and comfortable bed
- Jeremy (8/5): - Security
- Danny (10/5): - Very good
- HARSHPREET (10/5): - Parking is not included
- Darren (4/5): - I booked this property based on the fact it had airport shuttle services. No time limitations were listed, but I was worried about a 5am flight. I sent a question ahead through the expedia app that was ignored. When we arrived were told no shuttle on holidays or for early flights. Cost $30 to taxi to airport after the noisest night in a room down the way. No security walking the halls as they would have heard. Overall a very bad experience. Staff upon arrival tried to get us to upgrade, and weren't apologetic about shuttle. Friendly staff in morning had to help us with taxi, as well as hear about our bad experience. Nice park nearby.
- Guest (9/5): - Good stay.
- Gregory (10/5): - Everyone was super nice from check-in to check-out. Room was very clean and the bed was sooo comfortable.
Special shout out for North(bartender/supervisor) in the Riverside Lounge, a true pro!
- Sylvie (10/5): - Very safe quiet environment, convenience, easy secure parking,
- Kevin (8/5): - Only thing bad about this hotel is the homeless and degenerates hanging around the outside of property. I felt sorry for the poor security gaurd trying to keep a lid on this.
- Scott (8/5): - Room was fine , little sketchy outside around the property had even more concern when i see security outside but no issues
- Gerald (8/5): - Check in was smooth. And the room was good. There were noicy people next to my room but thats not the hotels fault.
- Dubhe Ann (10/5): - We were very pleased to have been upgraded to a suite. The room was newly renovated and we just loved everything about it!
- Remoundos (4/5): - The room we stayed in was renovated. Off sale at the property and lots of people hanging around the hotel that were not hotel guests. The parking lot had to have extra security to manage the stragglers. The renovations that were being done were not noted on the booking and we didn’t have access to the pool or hot tub. Rooms weren’t serviced properly and guests were having to put garbage and linens in the hallway so staff would take care of it.
- Sylvia (10/5): Good, clean, comfy, west wing room! - The bed was sooooo comfy, ended up sleeping for 10 hours........... Would be nice if the parking fee would be listed on line when booking.. Another 15.00 was added to our stay....
- MANISHA (10/5): - Overall, it was good
- Jennifer (4/5): - The room was hot, the carpet has gum stuck to it and was wet
- Jim (4/5): - Power went out for about two or three hours. Never was able to connect to Wi-Fi.
- Alona (4/5): Disappointing -
- Fergal (4/5): - The hotel is under renovations at the time we stayed. The parking process is atrocious, there are four parking spots for guests to park in while checking in. Needless to say these were taken along with almost every other spare inch of space. When we got checked in finally our party had difficulty finding a spot.
Our room was miles away, it took 10 minutes to walk to reception. The room was very outdated and freezing. We turned up the thermostat and it shook and rattled the whole way through the night. The TV, I didn't bother turning on because it was tiny and I wouldn't be able to see it from our bed. The bed was comfortable. Checkout was long, and we needed to hold on to a door card to get in to the parking lot to get our vehicle, then drop off the door card. Everything in our stay was hard work.
- Bill (6/5): - We’ve stay here three times but this is will be our last , our room was like a deep freeze the way to our room some one had pissed all the way down the hall to where ever. Parking cost us 24 dollars and so called security wandering around. I thought I lived in Canada. Well not here again that’s for sure.
- Vivian (6/5): - The hotel layout and lack of signage make it chaotic to find parking and direction to your room. Very choppy and not well set up.
- Aalliyah (8/5): Very good -
- Darren (8/5): - Just ok
- Alexandra (10/5): - Right beside the river
- Teresa (9/5): Superb -
- Grant (10/5): Satisfied patron. - This hotel met our expectations and we would certainly stay here again.
