- Debbie Lapin (10/5): It was an excelent experience, according to my best expectations. - Excellent location, the balcony in front of the Old City is the key for this magic place. But also the many gardens arround the building are full of corners with well-cared-for plants and flowers, benches, chairs and tables in many "corners of calm" for reading, resting, meditating... I made a sketch of the landscape in watercolor. I'm an coffe adict ( I'm sorry!) and nescafe is not coffe for my needs> black coffee is ok, esspreso better, but just small sachets with black coffee in the room will be superb: to drink a good coffee looking the landscape in the balcony will be great.

- Doron (9/5): Great location in jerusalem. - Location is wonderful. Parking. History of very old tombs you must see. Note two floors no elevator.
- Kaplan (9/5): Enchanted vacation at Scots Hotel, Jerusalem - The hotel (owned by the Scottish church) is magnificent and resembles a castle. Driving up to the parking area (free!) you pass by lovely flowers and a well-groomed garden. Our room was on the main floor, and so we had no issues with the hotel not having an elevator. It was quiet, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated. The vegetarian breakfast buffet was delicious. Many salads, tuna, avocado , shakshuka, scrambled eggs, fresh veggies, bread, rolls, cheeses, butter....carrot cake, halva, coffee, tea, juices....and more. Tony from reception is a real gentleman and made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The positives clearly outweighed the negative... The bed was a bit too firm for me. My husband was comfy. The shower was without a shower curtain or a glass enclosure. My understanding is that only rooms on the ground floor are without.

- Naomi (10/5): Perfect location, beautiful building, lovely staff, great breakfast:)! - One of the most beautiful buildings in Jerusalem:)! Location is just perfect, second to none. Views of the Old City in one direction, very easy access to best locations in the west of the city, and very good restaurants very close by. Great breakfast. Very helpful, lovely staff. It would have been great if the restaurant was open for lunch and supper, but I understand that tourism is at a low right now.

- David (8/5): A flawed jewel in the crown of Jerusalem; here’s to it getting the attention it deserves! - We love this place; it’s unique in Jerusalem for being a Christian-Arab-run hotel in an historic building situated perfectly at the edge of central Jerusalem - convenient and near all the most important action while being peaceful, polite, civilised and not overpriced, and with great views. The more expensive rooms are worth the extra (suites and balcony rooms) and the refurbishment has mostly been a great success. Typically, the breakfast is superb (but see later) The Scots House Hotel lets itself down more than anything, which is to say that it could be so much better but often misses the point. This week, the car that brought us to the hotel from the train station and the car that took us from the hotel to the train station couldn’t get to the hotel because on both occasions, there was no-one at the reception desk to answer the buzzer at the vehicle barrier; luckily we are able-bodied and could manage our heavy luggage ourselves on the sloped driveway. Likewise (presumably also because of low tourist numbers to Jerusalem atm), the typically wonderful breakfast spread was only at its best for one day out of 6, and because we had got used to the ‘light’ version, on the one day we found a great spread, we had only scheduled 10 minutes for it. Some of the refurbishment has been carried out shoddily and the hotel lets itself down as a result. Think of this review as the kind of disappointment one might feel about a brilliant student just not working hard enough to get great grades, or a talented person allowing their skills to go to waste.

- Matan (6/5): Beautiful hotel, but very uncomfortable bed - The hotel is located in a historic building. The architecture is beautiful, and the public areas (including the garden) are stunning, creating an atmosphere that feels like being abroad. Breakfast is good and offers a nice selection. The room itself is not modern, but it is kept in reasonable condition. The bathroom has clearly been renovated in recent years and feels more up to date. However, the main issue was the mattress – it was so hard that at times it felt like sleeping on a box spring without a mattress. This made it difficult to get a comfortable night’s sleep. Another downside was that the hotel did not provide even a single bottle of water in the room. The minibar was empty, there was nowhere in the hotel to purchase drinks, and the tap water had an unpleasant taste. For a hotel of this standard, it is reasonable to expect at least one complimentary bottle of water upon check-in.

- Michael (10/5): - Очень интересное место и удобное расположение. Все супер, с удовольствием вернусь ещё разок. К сожалению за три дня так и не смогли попасть в церковь , все время закрыто. И зелень на перилах балкона на самом деле закрывает собой абсолютно весь вид на Иерусалим. Очень жаль, сидишь на огромном балконе и видишь только перила и кусты.

- Ram (5/5): עם ה נתונים של המלון היה יכול להיות מעולה, לא הרגשתי נוחות של מלון והמחיר יקר מאוד, - הקרבה לבריכת הסולטן, ארוחת הבוקר הייתה טובה הצוות נחמד מאוד החדר קטן מאוד, ומלוכלך לאחר בקשה הם ניקו אותו שוב,המצעים היו מקומטים, הניחו רק 2 מגבות גוף,המזגן היה חלש מאוד ,היו המון תקלות בטלויזיה שלרוב לא עבדה. כאישה דתית היה לי קשה מאוד עם הצלב הגדול בכניסה ,ממש גרם לי לאי נוחות.לא קיבלנו תמורה על המחיר היקר חבל

- joachimfinger (9/5): Gern wieder - Sehr freundlicher Empfang, ruhiges Zimmer, Lage mit Blick auf den Zionsberg, gutes Frühstücksbuffet am Samstag und selbst am ersten Wochentag eine reichhaltige Auswahl am Einzeltisch. Tolle Aussicht vom Dach. Altststadt zu Fuss gut erreichbar (durch Park, man muss allerdings wissen wo). "First Station" in der Nachbarschaft (zur Zeit allerdings im Umbau). Mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen und eigener Parkplatz. Wenn man einen schweren Koffer hat, wäre ein Lift gut - aber das ist in dem historischen Haus wohl nicht machbar. Nicht so schlimm
