From the moment you arrive at the entrance, where your luggage is immediately taken care of, to the reception experience, everything feels very refined. We were welcomed by JP, whose perfectly polished shoes already reflected the level of attention to detail. He personally escorted us to our room, which was absolutely exceptional – beautifully designed with wonderful architecture and stunning interior design. The entire stay felt very special. The garden areas are absolutely stunning – peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout. We would especially like to thank Jean-Paul, who went above and beyond to fulfill every single one of our wishes. His kindness, professionalism, and dedication made our visit truly memorable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Johannesburg.

• DP3220 (10/5): Plush and friendly - We traveled as a group and could not have asked for better accommodation. JP, the concierge, greeted us, and was nothing but welcoming and a great host. The food was wonderful with a lot of choice. The rooms are exceptionally furnished and large. The patio was a wonderful place to hang out. We were so pleasantly surprised by everything. I would highly recommend staying here. Other than construction noise around the Parkwood, which could not be helped, there was nothing that could be changed.

We were expecting to come back late, and it was a cold night, so they put a heater in the room for us and made sure it was lovely and snug when we got back. Nothing at all. The breakfast was simple but tasty - Wouldn't eat in if you're expecting fine dining - but really just right.

The bathroom was a standout, seamlessly blending nature with luxury. The spa-style bathtub with power jets felt like a personal jacuzzi, and the heated carpet was a wonderful touch. The selection of toiletries was impressive, adding to the refined experience. 🍽️ Breakfast & Dining:The honor area, complete with an ice maker, tea, and coffee facilities, was a lovely addition. Breakfast featured a great variety, including fresh muesli, granola, Woolworths yogurt, fruit, bacon, and avo—perfect for those who prefer lighter, healthier options. Minor Considerations: While my stay was fantastic, there were a few small areas that could enhance the experience: - The honest bar fridge meant items weren’t complimentary, which was slightly unexpected. - The hot water in the morning was lukewarm rather than truly hot, which was a bit inconvenient during winter. - As someone with a spider phobia, I noticed webs under the vanity sink late at night, making my bath less relaxing. Despite these minor points, Parkwood Boutique Guest House delivers an unforgettable stay with elegance, tranquility, and outstanding service. • Laurent (10/5): A wonderful stay with the most attentive of staff - The staff were the highlight, particularly JP who could not do enough to make you feel welcome and make your stay extra special. The room was amazing, the bed comfortable, the bathroom enormous, the wardrobe space incredible. Just a wonderful boutique hotel in a great area of Johannesburg. The only tiny improvement would be to provide full size ironing boards rather than miniature ones that need to rest of a desk. But it's a small detail that should not put anyone off staying here as it's a wonderful hotel.
• Mary (10/5): This was the last stay on our trip to South Africa and the Parkwood was the perfect place to end an adventure. We felt - The size of the property was big enough to have a dining room but small enough that we felt like we were part of a family visiting from out of town. Rooms were large and comfortable, and decorated nicely. The patio, gardens and library nook added exceptional places to relax. Staff were so friendly and helpful. This was our first visit to Joberg and they helped us map out places to see that were not necessarily on the prime tourist lists. Bathrooms are outdated open concept making lighting a challenge for middle of the night visits.

• David (10/5): Lovely stay - We had a wonderful stay at "The Parkwood" it is a lovely safe area and a pretty well kept Boutique hotel. J.D. took great care of us and was an asset in every way.
• Ian (9/5): Fabulous hotel with great staff - What a wonderful hotel we are so pleased that we stayed here just disappointed that it was only for the 2 nights. We stayed in Johannesburg to break up the journey from the UK and before we went on safari in Zambia and in addition we hadn't visited Johannesburg previously. The Parkwood is in a safe neighbour (you are free to wander locally during the day but best to book an Uber in the evenings) but also has wonderful security. The hotel is really well decorated, well maintained and has some lovely communal sitting areas around a small pool and after a long journey we spent several hours just chilling out. From the moment we arrived all the team were so helpful - we were very lucky that we were able to check in early (not something we expected - would have been just happy to drop our bags off) and were looked after from that moment until we left. It was great to meet and chat with Sarah who was happy to provide recommendations on restaurants / activities. The rooms are sizeable each with a small private outdoor courtyard and lovely bathroom. Breakfasts were a mix of cold buffett and you could order a selection of hot breakfast dishes along with toast - all freshly made. The Parkwood is a fabulous hotel - you won't be disappointed .... we weren't. Nothing !

The accommodation was not only beautiful but also incredibly comfortable. The personal service we received, especially from the kind and attentive staff like JP, was exceptional. The breakfast at the property was fantastic, enhancing our overall experience. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again!

• Rich (10/5): A real South African home from home - This was a recommendation from a friend so I decided to check in for a few nights. My room was cosy and cute with underfloor heating for those cold Johannesburg mornings. The owners were utterly delightful and introduced themselves and clearly very proud. The breakfast was sumptuous and thank you to JP for fantastic interactions. Everything was perfect
