Podiam ter iogurte, frutas e ovos mexidos também. O banheiro vasava água e ficava todo molhado após o banho. Isso foi bem ruim. De modo geral, achei um charme o hotel.

Tiene todo lo necesario para una estadía cómoda y agradable. La cama es enorme y perfecta para un buen descanso. El baño es hermoso y pude darme un relajante baño de tina después de un largo viaje. El desayuno está bien, con jugo natural, café fresco y unas medialunas hechas en casa. 💯. Pablo es un hombre muy amable. Tuvo la gentileza de dejarme hacer hacer check out una hora después del límite y me guardó la mochila mientras salí a pasear. Recomiendo Casa Umare. Gracias, Pablo. Todo excelente.

• Reid (8/5): A spacious, well-designed room with excellent value. - Casa Umare has excellent staff that made an effort to meet our requests and ensure our stay was excellent. The rooms are very spacious and well-designed. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for the price. I'd recommend the hotel if someone I knew wanted to stay there. Upon entrance, the room had a musty smell and also had a moth or two flying around. I'd recommend to the staff that they consider opening a window (with a screen to prevent insects from flying in) or running the air conditioner to let the air circulate before guests enter. That being said, the room was very clean.

Tive transtornos por dois dias com a água quente do chuveiro que parava de funcionar, além dos ar condicionados quentes que não funcionam bem. Fui surpreendida no check out ao saber que foi cobrado uma taxa adicional pela salada de frutas do café da manhã. Salada essa que nos foi oferecido no café e em nenhum momento sinalizaram sobre taxa extra ou qual seria o determinado valor, afinal, no ato da reserva constava “café da manhã grátis”, como assim as frutas não estão inclusas no café da manhã? Fui cobrada em dólares e ao questionar e insistir me cobraram em pesos argentinos. Tive que pagar 58.600 pesos argentinos por salada de frutas para 3 pessoas em 3 diárias. Você precisa de alguém para abrir a porta para que você entre e saia da propriedade, não é bacana. Não tem televisão nos quartos, a TV fica na cozinha, bem distante. O piso de madeira faz muito barulho. As roupas de cama e toalhas são boas. Não vi o terraço conforme mostram as imagens, o casarão é confuso e ninguém nos mostrou a propriedade, tivemos que procurar sozinhos e não achamos a piscina da foto.

The owner lives on property and is as helpful as it gets, and also nice and smart. I’m coming back, bringing friends, and recommending it to everyone I know. Don’t worry about being not in the very center of the city, it’s much cozier here, and Uber rides are like $3.

• Ilze (6/5): Pleasant - The owner is very kind and provides useful information; the building is nice. I assume we got the worst “departamento” in the property: it was dark (all windows high up or facing a very small inner courtyard). It was rather damp and due to it had a peculiar smell. The bath / shower was not very comfortable, there was some mold on the shower curtain. The breakfast was meagre for what we paid for the room. Please be aware that it starts only at 9:00.
• John (2/5): Except for the extortion, it was a delightful stay - The property was charming, although some furniture was a bit worn. The building had been lovingly restored and the owner took pride in the building. The owner went out of his way to help us with tips on the neighborhood, restaurants, shopping, etc... When we went to check out and pay the bill, the owner turned on us and extorted payment directly from PayPal in USD. We had asked to pay in Argentine Pesos, using the official exchange rate as per Argentine law (and how it was done at every other hotel we stayed at in Argentina on the same trip.)The owner refused, trying to get us to pay the USD amount converted at the unofficial "blue" exchange rate. Then he claimed his credit card machine would not accept any of the three cards we had been using every day. In the end, he forced us to pay using PayPal, directly to him in USD. This resulted in costing us several hundred USD more.

Perhaps not located in the very center of all things touristy, but it is in a very nice, well connected neighbourhood with nice bars and restaurants in a walking distance. Es handelt sich um eine aufwändig renovierte Villa aus der goldenen Zeit Argentiniens. Familiäre Atmosphäre, hervorragender Service!!! Unsere Bleibe war nicht nur ein Zimmer, sondern eine richtige Wohnung mit Küche (inkl. Kühlschrank), Esszimmer und 2 Schlafzimmern (überall gut funktionierende, einzeln ansteuerbare Klimaanlagen). Frühstück kann in Frühstücksraum oder auf dem Zimmer eingenommen werden. Besteht aus einer Basisauswahl, die entsprechend der vielfältigen internationalen Gäste individuell (gegen etwas Zuzahlung) ausgestaltet werden kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und mit Schränken im historischen Stil ausgestattet. Es gibt einen kleinen, modernen Fahrstuhl. Der Eigentümer kümmert sich persönlich mit sehr großem Engagement um das Wohl der Gäste. Vielen Dank dafür an dieser Stelle!

• Anonymous (8/5): Lovely Boutique Hotel - Stunning hotel beautifully designed in a quiet neighborhood. Bed was so comfortable with nice bedding and a great shower. Apartment was quite large with a lovely private outside seating area and a nicely landscaped rooftop deck. Pablo was a great host and was helpful with any questions and he arranged an early morning taxi for us. I knew the breakfast would be bread and croissants, but still a disappointment considering the price point. Most places we stayed at this price and lower had a much larger selection. The area has plenty of cafe options and fast food choices, but is limited if you want a short walk to dinner or a drink later. We ate lunch later in the day in another area and skipped dinner. Casa Umare does not accept the blue rate, so budget accordingly.

Las habitaciones son cómodas y espaciosas, mis chiquitos de 5 y 3 años disfrutaron en grande! Tanto que decían que no querían volver a casa. Las atenciones de Pablo sin duda hacen la diferencia es una gran persona y ha hecho un gran espacio para tener unos días de tranquilidad y armonía. Veo comentarios de personas que no les gusto dejar la llave cuando salieron, sin embargo yo me sentí mucho más segura haciéndolo de ese modo!.. la experiencia fue perfecta. En el desayuno sirven deliciosas medias lunas (las saladas mis favoritas y rico café y jugo) por un costo extra obtienes un huevito gourmet que francamente extrañare! • Ariel Manuel (2/5): Es una edtafa cuidado cuando contratan por web! - Nos alojamos en familia con nuestros hijos de 11 y 14 años. Lo que figura en las fotos dista muchísimo de la realidad. Por empezar cuando ingresamos había un olor horrible a perro, muy intenso, algo que nos pareció poco adecuado tener mascotas en un hotel. Por otro lado la casa habitación que nos tocó no estaba en el estado que se muestra. Los aires hacían mucho ruido. Para entrar y salir a la calle siempre teníamos que esperar a que alguien nos abra porque cierran con llave. Por el monto pensamos que teníamos un buen desayuno, y cuando nos fueron a servir nos aclararon que era un desayuno clásico (bastante malo medialunas que hornean ellos y nos las sirvieron crudas) y que si queríamos aparte huevos o frutas, deberíamos pagar y la tarifa era en dólares, si, USD8 por agregar algo. Por último y la mayor estafa es que por booking o web de hoteles, el monto aparece en pesos, y una vez contratado luego te viene el saldo en dólares, o sea que el monto que nos da a pagar es más del doble. Intentamos de todas formas ver con Pablo ese tema, y siempre nos dio vueltas, llamamos a la web y nos dijeron que no podríamos cancelar. No entendemos como contratando un hotel en Argentina debemos pagar dólares billete. Y ni siquiera nos ofrecieron la factura. Luego de eso Pablo no nos atendió más el teléfono. Es realmente una estafa! Especulan con los extranjeros! Nunca volvería ni lo recomendaría.

• Alfred (10/5): If you want a memorable visit to Buenos Aires, venture off the beaten path. Casa Umare is exactly the type of place we - I cannot say enough about the property. It is a wonderful old building lovingly restored by the owner himself, architect and artist. this is a must for people who appreciate the fine details of early 1900s architecture: the wood moldings, high ceilings, stained glass windows, etc. in so many ways I have the sense that I am staying at my grandparents’s home (Alfredo Mandino, a master mason and plasterer, who immigrated from Puglia to NY, building his house in Connecticut in 1920). The furnishings, the leaded glass, the koi pond, are just a few of the personal touches here. We loved being able to sit outside on a patio surrounded by plants of the tropics, the sweet smell of jasmine in bloom filling the air). In addition to the spacious common area courtyard, our suite had its own private outdoor seating area. The concept of this place is fantastic, a condo hotel, where one gets their own suite of rooms yet has the convenience of being able to have breakfast prepared by the staff, or a drink after returning from shopping. The entire place is filled with the owner’s own art. Pablo is a gifted multi media artist. He and the staff all give the feeling of welcoming their guests into their family. Laundry can be sent out, food picked up. Each restaurant recommended was an excellent dining experience. Casa Umare is impeccably clean and comfortable. In the neighborhood of Almagro, real people abound and chat with you in the streets. To experience the Real Buenos Aires, stay here. it would have been nice if the restaurant had been open for more than breakfast, it would be an ideal setting for a small jazz combo and cocktails.
• Remco (9/5): An authentic and surprising casa where you feel at home between the locals. - This place comes as a big surprise! Spacious rooms with high ceilings, some very nice patio's and a spectacular roof terrace. The roof terrace is not completely finished yet but when the long pool is, it will be a big bonus for this hidden gem. We had a quiet apartment on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms. Fresh orange juice and coffee for a basic breakfast. The personal touch and big influence of the owner (Pablo) as an architect and artist, made this casa especially interesting for visitors looking for an authentic place with a lot of character. Be sure to visit the Cathedral Club just a 5 min walk away where you can taste in a good atmosphere and for practically no money, a professional tango performance. Thanks Pablo for all your good information of this part of BA I hadn't visit before! Some minor things: I dont like to have a shower in a wobbly bathtub with plastic curtains. The doorknob of the bathroom was missing. A guest took it home as a souvenir!
• Allan (8/5): Quirky small hotel in safe area - A nice quirky hotel apartment with a large internal courtyard for sitting outside in the shade. A continental breakfast was fine for my wife, as I am Coeliac I was provided with yoghurt and fruit at no extra cost. The staff were friendly and helpful although our lack of Spanish limited conversation. Whilst we only required one bedroom the apartment had two bedrooms but you had to go through the second bedroom to get to the bathroom. Probably not a problem for those with young family but maybe not so good for two couples travelling together
• Perttu (8/5): - The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were huge and our room/apartment had a private garden where breakfast could be ordered. The hotel has very good location, but is still quiet. Our only negative comment is that the pool was closed, even though pool is advertised on the Expedia page.

• HEATHER (8/5): - We discovered Casa Umare for our stay in Buenos Aires through Travelocity. It is Located about a 15-minute drive out of center city- it is easy to uber/taxi to numerous tourist attractions however it is important to note that you are not in walking distance. The Pro’s from our stay: • Rooms: Spacious, beautiful details • Air conditioning, water pressure, toiletries and hair dryer, kitchen • In-room breakfasts were great for lazy mornings in with coffee service and an assortment of croissants and toasts with a variety of marmalades. The Con’s • After 24 hours of travel from the US we arrived to find that the hotel system had somehow marked us as cancelled - while our Travelocity account said our reservation was active. Fortunately, there were rooms available, and we were still able to stay – however- we recommend calling the hotel prior to visiting to make sure your reservation is active. • Café/Restaurant no longer in service • Rooftop lounge/pool under renovation and no longer in service Overall, we had a very nice stay and the price was great. The space was beautiful and offered a great deal of charm. While it was disappointing that the pool and restaurant were no longer in service- it would have been beneficial for to have an updated advertisement as it may influence other’s decision to stay at casa Umare in the future. It is an important takeaway that you will have to rely on uber/taxis to see the sights.

• Jeremy (8/5): Like staying with the family you love. - The staff were simply amazing. When we were stuck, unable to get a taxi (as the World Cup final was about to start), Pablo went and got his own car and drove us to our next destination. Truly lovely people.

Unfortunately the pool was under renovation. It’s a delightful renovated space within walking distance to subway and dining. We ate Pierinos - a not-to-be-missed family owned Italian restaurant. You can’t miss the hamburgers at El Bandarin. (Was $10 Canadian for 2 inc drinks). We enjoyed the cafe con leche every morning with breakfast. Would stay again! It’s very safe.

Several speak excellent English, and they are a fantastic resource for learning to navigate the city. The location is very convenient, only a couple blocks from the subway and there are lots of good dining options nearby. I have absolutely nothing bad to say!

The space was clean and room service was provided daily. There is a bar/dining area adjacent to the lobby where breakfast was provided. The breakfast was delicious! The best part of our stay was the customer service. Very, very friendly and helpful with various needs including how to get around Buenos Aires. The only downside was some street noise at night including barking dogs, but this is probably only an issue for the room we stayed in and not as much for the other rooms.
• Timothy (10/5): My Favorite In The World! - We needed a place for one night before flying back to the states. I wanted to try something I’ve never tried before. Casa Umare is a dream come true. It’s like having your own private mansion with your own personal staff, and a new best friend in Pablo the owner. The check in process is seamless and quick. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything is perfectly in place. The elevator works and is quick. The decor is exquisite and tastefully arranged. We arrived at 8:30AM and after being allowed to check in so early, breakfast was served to our room. We made dinner reservation for 7:00PM and the five-course meal was deliciously prepared by Pablo himself. I slept wonderfully on the bedding and felt so rested the next morning. We asked for a late checkout and was served a custom late breakfast before leaving the hotel for the airport. I can hardly wait to return and take my family! Congratulations Pablo on a job well done!

• Schønning (10/5): Amongst the best & most charm hotels in Buenos As - This hotel is one of the nicest and most charming I’ve stayed at. Pablo has done an excellent job renovating and modernising this eclectic style house - preserving the original style and vibe, whilst still offering all the amenities you need in a modern hotel. The suites were spacious and clean, the shower was excellent, and the beds comfortable. Pablo was very welcoming and made me feel like at home. He even made sure the kitchen was open to provide me breakfast for my very early flight. I highly recommend this place.
• Gabe (10/5): - This property has been renovated with exquisite taste. Service is personalized, in most of the cases he owner, Pablo, takes care of you and your needs. You feel like a guest in someone's home, and the rooms are spacious, mora like apartments. In my case, the room was very quiet and I was able to rest perfectly. I also used the restaurant for business meetings, something that needs o be arranged in advance, as the restaurant is not open for public. The food was delicious, and the service was world class. Their selection of wines is fantastic and the environment itself is absolutely gorgeous. Casa Umare was an experience of it's own. Probably not in the most reknown neighborhood, I believe that actually provides magic to the place. There are plenty of restaurants in the surroundings, the police station is very close and if needed, you can get a cab to reach the touristic areas for around 5$. I will be staying at this place again.
